Preface:
I am a huge Lord of the Rings fan; I re-read the books typically once a year. I also adore the movies, and find all of Tolkien's legendarium absolutely awesome. Truly one of my favorite hobbies so I'd like to offer some critiques and excitement of flavor gems from Tales of Middle Earth. I won't do every card, but I'll comment on some individual cards and how WOTC did on it. I will comment on the cards abilities but only insofar as it impacts the flavor; i.e. what the card is doing not power level, etc.
To be clear: I understand there are sacrifices you need to make for the greater game, and sometimes those come first. For these articles: I am looking at each card in a vacuum, so if I seem harsh it's because I am using a single lens.

Flavor Preface
Elrond Halfelven is the Lord of Rivendell, the heir to the High Kingship of the Noldor, one of the most powerful lore masters and the Elder remaining in Middle Earth. He bears Vilya, the chief of the Three Rings, and a witness to three ages of Arda.
So yea, I'm a little irritated they made him an uncommon with a middling ability.
Color
Mono-Blue is a weird color for Elrond, in my opinion. I think most Elves are Green, Elrond is a Lord who desires peace so that's White. I think he's Blue too. Mono-blue is...fine for a narrow reading of Elrond, but would not have been my choice.
Abilities
Elrond has one ability, basically a scry ability when creatures land. That doesn't scream 'Elrond' to these eyes. I will also say, one again: I hate (hate, Hate, HATE) the "Ring Tempts You" ability. Elrond would NEVER encourage the Ring to tempt you! The flavor here is just so incredibly off. They picked a flavorful name for the set, and then I think completely mucked it up. The flavor simply does not match at all in my opinion.
This will not be the last uncommon legendary creature I think Wizards made to fill a character hole instead of picking one which really matched the character. If it were a lesser character than Elrond: I'd live with it, but Elrond is an interesting and powerful character. He deserved better.

NYC based
I don’t have many friends in New York anymore and the ones I do have I only see occasionally because of our schedules. A few best friends moved away and I lost a lot of friends when I stopped heavily drinking. So even tho I’m currently sad cuz of a break up, I want to start thinking about meeting more new people and having fun. Most of my friends in NY are friends from college and their close friends/partners.
I’m shy and generally mind my business which is not great for meeting new people. I was even recently at a party and saw a few hot guys who I wanted to talk to but I was too nervous they were straight and didn’t even know how to approach them. I am much better when the other person approaches me, but I know this is something I need to work on. Any pointers here would be appreciated. I’m not totally lost at parties if I know people tho. I’ve met some people who are Instagram friends but that’s it. My romantic partners have all been made on the apps :(
But I also just need some ideas on where to meet more queer people who want to be friends. I want friends who want to go dancing,hang out in the park, try that new cocktail bar, go to the movies or theatre, etc. If things develop romantically that’s ok but I’m not looking for sex, I legit just want more friends so I can stop doing things solo. I go out less cuz none of my friends want to go, which becomes this self fulfilling loop of not meeting new friends or lovers.
I’ve been in on going acting classes but no one goes out after or anything. I go to workout classes but no one really talks to each other. And I go to the gym 3-4 days a week and see the same people but no one’s ever said hi. And again I’d like queer friends, don’t need anymore straight people in my life hah.
Any advice on where to meet friends and/or advice on how to go from small talk to actual friend?

Am I the asshole for talking down to my brother-in-law? A few weeks ago we went to my wife's grandparents house where I offered to make lunch for everyone. I cooked the food and then started making plates for all the children (side note I grew up where kids eat first the the elders and so on) and set the table for them I Called letting the family know food was ready and turned to finish plating the last two kids plates, my BIL Kevin snuck down and helped himself. My wife asked me where our daughters (Sara 2yrs old) plate was and I told her on the table with the rest. It was at this point I turned around to see Kevin was sitting at the kids table eating off of her plate (note the kids plates were small and have cartoons on them so there should be no mistaking) so I politely said "oh Kevin that is Sara's plate not yours." Now most grown adults who have common sense would have said "oh my bad" or something like that and got their own plate right?? Well Kevin just scooped up a fork full of food shoved it in his mouth the looked at my daughter saying "oh sorry Sara" and kept eating. It was at this point I might be the Asshole because I calmly walked over to him and in a childish tone said "oh no no Kevin we don't touch things that are not ours." And took the plate from him filled it with food and gave it to my daughter. My wife's family laughed at his face as he sat there dumbfounded and speechless. It wasn't until a few hours later that my father-in-law pulled me aside and informed me that his son needed to be put in his place and it was funny but I should have handled the situation differently. So am I the asshole?

I asked for a dirty joke to tell a co-worker with a prompt to customize the joke. I received a lesson in morality from Chat. Then tried all my prompt tricks that usually are good workarounds. Every time I was told how inappropriate it was and I need to be careful of everyone’s feelings. Oh yea, chat said it also couldn’t respond with anything offensive.
I think we should be able to tell ourselves dirty jokes uncensored.
P.S. found a ton of hilarious jokes with a quick google prompt.

I live in Maryland, USA. My car was towed today because I parked in a visitor spot without a permit. I just started a new job and was at my clients house. They said that they've never seen anyone getting towed, so parking there without a permit shouldn't be a problem. Obviously, that was bad advice and I shouldn't have been so naive. I've never gotten towed, before.
When I picked my car up from the lot, I realized that my $300 aftermarket exhaust had gotten damaged by the towing. It got badly bent. Instead of a circle shape, it looks more like a frown now. I spoke with the guy who towed my car and he said that he's new there. He actually took pictures of my car as he got it ready to tow, which he also sent to the company before leaving the neighborhood.
When I noticed the damage at the lot, he let me take a look at the pictures that he took earlier. In at least one picture, maybe two (I can't remember), you can zoom in and clearly see that my exhaust was not damaged before the towing. Both the employee and myself took pictures of the damage at the lot where you can see the difference. He called his boss who said for me to call about it tomorrow. The boss sounds like a jerk, though.
I'm not sure what happens when something like this occurs. I have proof from the photos that they caused the damage, and the truck driver pretty much implied that it was his fault with that. What happens if I call tomorrow and they refuse to compensate me in some way for it? Like, shouldn't they pay to fix it or replace it? Do I need to take any legal action? Or insurance action? I spent a lot of money on that exhaust, and then had to pay $250 to get my car back. Any related information or advice would be appreciated!

So I made a list of pros & cons for each option. I tried to be as concise as possible, with minimal subjectivity.
Pros for pulling Silver Wolf:

• Fu Xuan + Seele mono composition.
• A better debuffer than Welt (by a mile).
• Adding weakness.
• 2/2 teams might be very good? Jing Yuan + SW + Ting Yun and Fu Xuan?
• Might be more future proof.

Cons for pulling Silver Wolf:

• Mono teams might be garbage by the time that future arrives. (Or at parity with teams that now aren't forced to run SW).
• Her design is pretty meh. (Only thing that matters).
• No clue if bosses are just gonna resist (or have a high chance of resisting) her main utility in adding a weakness.
• I want Blade.
• Her bugs are RNG and also kinda lacking.
• Lots of RNG.

Pros for pulling Luocha.

• Looks neat.
• Fulfills several roles (healer, buff stripper, debuff cleanser, teamwide atk% boost).
• Could be the only healer banner in a long time.
• Good synergy with Blade potentially.
• MoC (don't care).

Cons for pulling Luocha:

• If you have any other healer his value drops drastically. Bailu can't cleanse, but who cares - you're not dying.
• Man, if Fu Xuan and mono quantum is good I'm gonna be real upset skipping SW.
• Welt already provides Imaginary coverage, deducting some of his upsides.

Pros for pulling both Luocha and SW:

• "Mono" imaginary team with Welt, Luocha and SW. Let's gooo.

Cons for pulling both Luocha and SW.

• Hahahahahahaha, yeah right

Jade considerations:

• Getting SW and skipping both Luocha and Blade for Fu Xuan is probably gonna turn out great.
  
• Skipping SW and getting Luocha followed directly by Blade is probably not gonna work out.
  

Additional considerations:

• Blade might not require Luocha at all. Also you might have Bailu at that point.
• If you want Fu Xuan (and I do) it seems like SW is probably just a no brainer?

Would love if anyone with a similar set of characters had any additional thoughts.

so, a couple years ago i bought my 2003 eddie bauer.
i’ve had to have it towed 7 times for various reasons since i bought it.
the most recent event being the transmission dying.
do you guys think it’s worth it to fix this thing? they’re asking $3500 for a re-built transmission, because most of the used transmissions available for my model Re old and are bound to have an issue sooner than later, just like my current one.
here’s why i’m leaning towards scrapping it. along with the transmission issue and having towed it 7 times in 2 years, it’s got an oil leak that no one can figure out where it’s actually coming from, mice got into it last fall and continue to get into it, the headliner got destroyed in some parts because of water damage (leak in the sunroof gasket and where the windshield gasket means the drains on the roof), mold keeps growing on the headliner as well, the carpets are constantly wet, and the person who painted the exterior before selling it to me did a terrible job, so the clear coat is flakey and does not look good at all. there’s also a crack that goes straight down the back of the lift gate, and i know that’s a common defect.
it’s going to pain me to get rid of it, since it was my first car, and it’s gotten me moved across the country twice. this subreddit actually helped me decide on buying it.

I am a 28M in a relationship for the last 10 years with 27F and living together for the past 5 years. I have never cheated and have done everything for my partner. I have been a very good boyfriend. However, two months ago, I found a few texts on my partner's phone from her co-worker. He was sending flirty texts, and although my partner didn't reciprocate, she didn't stop him either. They were talking every day until 2 or 3 am. I checked her phone regularly when she was sleeping, and I even checked her Google Pay and saw a few payments between them, mostly during lunchtime. This made me sure that they were spending time together in the office too. Most of the time they talked about random things, and sometimes the guy tried to flirt with her, but she responded with disinterest. However, one text caught my attention. He asked her out to a party on the weekend, and she didn't say yes but also didn't say no. So, I decided to go out of town and see what she would do when I wasn't there. I took a random solo trip for three days on the weekend and told her it was a work trip.
After coming back, I found a few videos of them partying together in her conversation, which were sent by the guy. This made me extremely angry, and I wanted to confront her about it, but I didn't say a single word. I wasn't brave enough, and this messed up my head. I decided to put myself out there and signed up on Bumble. I got a few matches on the very first day. I ignored a few who were looking for a relationship, but then I found this average-looking 26F who was into me and didn't want a relationship either. We went out on a date, got drunk, and made out in a bar. Then she wanted to go to my place, but I told her the truth that I am in a living relationship. I explained everything about my situation, but surprisingly, she didn't have any problem with it. That day, we checked into a hotel.
After coming back at night, I checked her phone again and saw a text where the guy was expressing his excitement to see my girlfriend at the office, and she replied, "Same here." After that day, we didn't speak with each other often, but we continued living together under one roof. Despite everything, we both can't let go of each other. However, the Bumble girl I got involved with is now causing problems. She texts and calls me every day. I was ignoring her after the incident, but last Sunday, she showed up at my door. I opened the door, and she barged in. My girlfriend was also there, and the Bumble girl started making a scene, shouting at my girlfriend, asking why she was still here and if she wanted to see more. She was telling me to kick my girlfriend out. I managed to send her back, but before leaving, she threatened that if I didn't respond to her, she would show up again with all her stuff. I think she can actually do that.
Now, people of Reddit, please suggest what I should do. How can I get rid of her?

My cat has been depressed for 30 days. She is almost 15 years old and was my families cat. I recently moved out of my parents house and I took her with me as I am her biggest companion and who she takes a liking to the best. Since the move, she has completely stopped eating her routine dry food that she used to gobble up daily. She is plus size so she would eat large volumes of it when living at the old place. She has not been given wet food for years because she likes the dry food so much and it was vet recommended to combat frequent UTIs she would get years ago (hasn’t had one of those in 6 years.) Since she wasn’t touching her bowl of dry food I had to start buying wet food to try entice her. Some flavors she completely ignores, however she has eaten a few licks here and there of a couple of flavors. This cat used to literally scream-meow at everyone in my house when her bowl was empty until it was filled. So it makes me feel incredibly guilty that since the move she barley eats anymore.
I waited a couple of weeks for her to acclimate before I brought her to the vet. Despite clearly not eating anywhere near what she was eating before the move, vet says she is 100% fine based on blood tests and some physical exams and that she is actually in better shape than most cats her age.
I don’t know what to do. I keep trying different flavors of wet food to see if anything sticks, but nothing has. I am at work 5 days a week, so I think her being home alone in a new environment without 3 members of my family she used to be around, is really taking a toll on her mental state. But I have to work and can’t be home with her 24/7. She doesn’t seem in pain, just seems sad and uninspired to do anything and has her spots in the house she likes to sleep. Does anyone have any advice? She doesn’t like toys, she was stimulated by cat nip a few days ago but now seems uninterested in it. Part of me thinks she should move back to my parents to live with them and my brother, since she was so happy there. But then she won’t be with me whom she is attached to more than them. I am at complete loss and feel guilty that she’s not acclimating well. But 30 days is a long time to be barely eating. She also is only having a bowl movement roughly every 5-7 days which is obviously way less frequent than it should be.
PLEASE HELP ME GET MY CAT BACK TO HERSELF. I feel like a terrible pet owner for putting her in this position and need ways to get her feeling happy again.

In my world, there are a group of NPCs known as Beyonders, who all have shared abilities beyond the normal scope of D&D. The way to become a Beyonder is unknown, but most either have gained inhuman strength or magical power, learned the secrets of the universe, reached their fullest potential in life, or gone through an intense life-changing event, at which point they gain the ability to tap into fundamental aspects of the universe and bend reality to their will, to an extent. Anyone can become a Beyonder, but to reach this point is only possible through extreme training, sacrifice, and a strong will.
Basically, I’m trying to think of shared abilities that all Beyonders would have that don’t necessarily break the game, but can’t be done by regular people, even if they’re level 20.
One idea I thought of was the power to hold a private conversation with any being in the universe. The Beyonder chooses a single person to affect, who then can choose to accept or decline the offer (non-Beyonders must accept). If they accept, both people are mentally transported to an extra-dimensional space representing a small, windowless wooden room with a table, a candle, and 2 chairs (this specific room is relevant in my world). They can’t physically interact with each other but are allowed to converse for up to 15 minutes or until one of them snuffs out the candle, at which point both are returned to their bodies, with no time having passed in the real world.
Other abilities I thought of are to see the alignment of other creatures just by looking at them, or “see” their true wishes & desires.
Please lmk if you’ve done something similar or have any ideas for a shared ability to give these NPCs.

I am currently trying to put together a timeline with a friend, and got stuck in something I'm sure has been answered somewhere else, we just cannot find. I'm mostly talking about 3 minigames, SAVETHEM, Foxy Go! Go! Go!, and Give Gifts, Give Life. I know there is at least 10 dead kids, those found in SAVETHEM and Foxy Go! Go! Go!. I would assume those in SAVETHEM possess/are stuffed in the withered animatronics? But didn't those who possess/were hidden in the withered animatronics die at a birthday party, showed by the Happiest Day mini game in FNAF 3? Also, if Give Gifts, Give Life is the same kids in any of the other mini games, how? In the book "The Ultimate Guide" it says that Give Gifts, Give Life is in a different location than the Foxy and SAVETHEM. It is also under "Fan Theories", though. This is assuming Foxy game is in FNAF 1 location and SAVETHEM is in FNAF 2 location (no clue where Give Gifts, Give Life is though..) 5 Kids die at FNAF 2
5 kids die at FNAF 1... at the same time? There's 2 newspaper clippings that caught my attention: one that says 5 total kids have gone missing at the FNAF 1 location.. but then another one saying 2 kids went missing. (assuming the latter newspaper was before the first). I'm following the assumption that the news papers are talking about FNAF 1 location. Also, if 5 of the kids are stuffed in withered animatronics, what happens to the other 5 who aren't found either? Toys?

I blinked at the human. “What do you mean history? Its just a train? I mean, I miss being on them a ton and think it's kinda speh how they took them all away, but they were old.” I pointed out as I watched the steam train run into a tunnel.
“Well. One thing you learn when building models of historical things is that each country- uhm- that is groups on Earth, have different styles and things they want their trains to do. America used to prefer the most elegant, rugged, and mass-producible of all back in the day while Japan in the 20’th century valued speed, reliability, and as smooth a ride as possible. Each time period also had their own trains.” He pointed to one of the big ones. “This is a 20th century American train called the EMD SD70ACe.” He rattled off a bunch of letters and more that meant almost nothing to me. “It was made to be far more durable than most others while focusing far more on efficiency.”
He then motioned to the train finally coming out of the huge tunnel. “This is an American classic. The 4-4-0. It's based on the Roy O. Disney No. 4. Its not set up the same as its real counterpart, but after a… discussion.” He Glanced at Sally who shrugged. “It was decided we would make it a luxury liner to still be able to showcase it.”
I blinked and rubbed my head a bit. “Wait… is that a human name? Was it named after someone famous?” I asked, watching its beautiful red and green snake through the mountains. “Well. It is actually running at a park on Earth right now to take people around.” Jack explained as he watched it move about. “And in fact it's a great example! It was named after one of the founders of the American mega-corp disney. It was bought and made to look beautiful to transport people around a big park. Really though it was there to look beautiful and be a big tourist attraction. It was very outdated for the time, but that was the point.”
What? “Wait, if it was outdated then why use it?” I asked, finally looking up to my human partner. “Simple: People liked how it looked and it reminded them of a very important time in America when we were growing into the superpower we are today. For some people, like me, America would not have existed without the 4-4-0, so we honor it whenever we can. For others, many MANY cool stories happen on or around 4-4-0 trains, so they keep coming up in movies. And some pay a TON of money to ride on them through mountains and stuff. Sure the cars are mostly more modern for safety and comfort, but people want to experience what it was like to live in those old days so they pay to ride in the outdated cars.”
He then pulled up photos on his pad of an American tour company operating in the mountains. I snatched the tablet the moment I saw the first few photos and started looking at them one by one. It…. it was my trains! I could see that ornate red carpet, the sleeper cars, the tiny bathrooms, the small chair I sat on for HOURS reading whatever speh I could get my paws on. It was all there! The price was… high, but you could ride it NOW! And the humans were FTL level!
I handed his tablet back to him and watched the train chug along. “Then… why did we have to get rid of ours? I mean. I never thought of what I worked on being important. Sure it was one of the heights of our tech pre-uplift, but I never thought about it being important to history.”
“The fact it was the last thing you all made should make it even more important. I don’t know why the feds did it-” Jack’s strong hand patted my shoulder. “-but maybe we could do something?” He looked over to Sally.
“I know what you are going to propose, and I am ALLLL for it!” She said as she held a thumb up. “But we gotta ask Leon too. I mean, I love kitbashing and all but you and Leon are the ones that are best at it. I just get the interior sparky shit to work.” She laughed a little before the door opened up again.
“Hey everybo-” A human with shoulder length blond hair walked in with a female Dossur head poking up out of his lab coat. The moment the Dossur saw Sally she hopped out and skittered up to her. What I had to guess was leon froze seeing the tilfish who stared back. He took a deep breath and I covered my ears expecting another scream. It seems humans were sca-

I jumped and looked at the human with my fur standing up. One: That was a very happy yell. Two: That was a very happy word. I looked at the other two humans and they looked at each other for a moment before moving their heads side to side.
“Yesyesyes an insectoid species! I was worried that all the aliens would be soft, cute mammalians! Nothingwrongwiththat but this is farrrrr more cool inmyhonestopinion!” His words were coming out fast and blending together in the translator as he walked up to poor, poor Xelo. She was rubbing her antenna before Sally passed her back the coins with a sigh before getting in Leon’s way.
“Alright alright. I knew you liked freaky things but this is a bit of a surprise.” She said trying not to step on the Dossur. “Give the girl her space and let her warm up to you. You know the drill by now. Poor thing was shocked when Freddie squealed at it.” My human let out a deep breath of air and crossed his arms. It was clear he didn’t like being reminded of what he had done.
“FIIINE!” Leon said lifting up his arms. “I will talk to her later.” He then looked over at me, waved, then stepped back from poor Xelo who was looking between us all.
“Hey! Tall lady! I’m Fige! Fee-d-je~!” The dossier called out from her feet. “Mind picking me up? Bit small!” Sally nodded and picked her up, lifting her up to her chest height in one hand. While Sally was looking down at Fige, the dossur was looking right ahead. What was she-ohhhh. Really?
“Heya Fige! I am sally! I read your kind were small but didn’t expect THIS small!” She said with a laugh. “Man. I just want to put you in my po-”
“If you are offering your chest pocket PLEASE!” The small female called up to the huge human. “I mean, it-” She rubbed one of her ears then shook her head. “Ah brahk it. I wanna ride against that comfy looking chest. I have never SEEN mammaries that big before!” She squeaked out motioning to the human’s chest. “I have dated lotsa females from lotsa species, but good grief! My fear left the moment I saw those things!” I thought I was a bit open. What the speh!? We all looked to Sally who laughed long and hard. “Oi! Freddie! Seems like we BOTH lucked out!” She said before moving the dossier towards her coat pocket, only to put her right on top of the “pair!” The dossur squeaked in surprise before squeaking in pure joy. “Ohhh yeah! Humans are just fine in my book!” She called out while Sally was laughing hard.
“Oh damn, this feels…. Weird. Still. Not gunna pass up a chance to connect with an alien species lesbian! Hell I like my women short but this is a new level for me!” Both Freddie and Leon shook their heads side to side while looking down. “And she fussed at me!” I heard Leon mutter while poor Xelo just looked around practically tugging her antennae off in confusion at the chaos in front of her. “Wait. what is this?” Fige asked before hopping down onto the table. While Xelo let out a clatter in protest fearing the stuff was fragile. It held up though thankfully. She skittered about looking at the trains, poking at the wires that were carefully hidden, then tapping the tracks. “Fascinating! The trains must be powered through the tracks and controlled through it leaving enough room within for all this decoration! I didn’t expect predators like yourself to be able to work on such small and fragile electronics like this!” She then watched the cargo train roll by before hopping onto one of the flatbeds to ride around. The humans didn’t protest. At all. In fact they took out their datapads and took as many pictures as they could! Fige, to her credit, ate up the attention and even posed some as she laughed enjoying the ride. Lucky little squeaker. Still, after a while we all just sat together at a table they cleared off. Drinks and snacks scattered over what had been a workstation. “Alright. So now you all know what scale models are.” Freddie said with a smile. “And nobody had a… too big of a reaction to us so far! So far so good!” he laughed a bit as he sipped his soda. “Now. Wanna help us make more?”

i (18M) live with my mother. my father left me more than a decade ago and refuses to talk to us. because of this, my mom has been a single mother. she worked in retail and car shops, she even did sex work on the side to help financially. because of this, i have felt very ashamed of my mother and refuse to talk about her careers with my friends at school.
my mom is also a huge party animal; she takes me to parties hosted by friends and family, then stays there all night. the older i get, the more im sick of her. shes also very wary of who i interact with in school, since we live in a very drug-happy urban area, which is annoying because she works in the sex industry and doesnt have much room to talk.
finally, my dad recently tried to reach out to me and my mother, because apparently he felt guilty. my mother completely cut him off and told him to go fuck himself then hung out. we got into an argument because i called her immature and not even considering my side on the matter. then she tried gaslighting me, telling me she loves me and doesnt want me to be hurt by him.

My mood is levelled out a lot today. Yesterday was a nightmare thinking negative stuff but also knowing that those emotions and thoughts won’t last forever, and I just had to make it to the other side. It’s sometimes challenging when you’re deep amid the anxiety and depression you feel will continue forever. But today, I felt more neutral, which is delightful. I was just able to take a deep breath and realize that I got to the other side of those crazy emotions, and I am safe and loved and in a warm, comfy bed. I am thankful to be around family that loves me and likes to argue and debate with me. I am lucky to have some relaxing days at work where I am trusted to do my job well. And I’m also fortunate to have a partner who thinks I am silly and cute and wants to spend this weekend with me. Now I better knock on wood so that I do not jinx all of these good vibes that are slowly creeping back in. 🌟

I (27f) and my boyfriend (27m) had a baby 2 months ago. As you know, sickness and such are big when it comes to newborns and infants. My biggest fear is RSV and oral herpes for my son. I've made it very clear no one kisses him on the mouth. I've also been pretty clear on boundaries when it comes to strangers. I guess I would classify myself as an almost helicopter mom mostly because I didnt have family and I'm a huge germaphobe. I grew up with scarce family. My mom raised me after her divorce when I was 6. My step dad raised me from the age of 8 on. So having a family that's super involved is honestly a blessing for me. I know almost none of my extended family. I was really excited when I met my boyfriend because he had a big family that loves to be involved in everything. My boyfriends family is Italian. Hes made it very clear that they are very close. During Easter when my son was barely a month old, he got passed around to aunts and uncles like he was a bag of potato chips. Being a new mom, you can imagine I was super anxious. I wasn't ready to hand off my baby to strangers. I said nothing that day and just took it because my boyfriend told me I was overreacting. My boyfriend and I have been together for 4 years but most of these people I met after I became pregnant. My boyfriend is very much a "go with the flow and avoid confrontation" kind of guy. I can catch him in a lie with evidence and he will walk away or refuse to admit/talk about things. So fast forward to today. I got my son's grandparents a gift from my son. We will call grandmother A and grandfather K. Grandma A was in her driveway when I pulled up, alone, and just with my son. I saw there was a mother(guessing 30s) and her daughter, who I later learned was 5. I immediately decided in my head I wasn't going inside. They are strangers and any parent knows kids harbor bacteria. Grandma A walked up to my vehicle (she was expecting me and didn't tell me she had company). I told her I'd just be dropping off her gifts as I didn't want to stay since she had company. I told her I wasn't comfortable bringing my son around people I didn't know or kids because I was worried he would get sick. By this time she was already in my back seat cooing at my son in his carseat. She told me the little girl was a good girl while I was telling her no. I set a clear boundary. She proceeded to grab my son out of his carseat and walk him inside saying "grandpa k will be excited to see him". Obviously I had no choice but to follow. These aren't my parents so I can't say "hey give me my kid back". The 5 yr old girl began touching my son and tickling his feet which made him cry. She then tried to stick her fingers in his mouth. The mother of the daughter told her to get away from the baby because the mom was getting anxious. Grandma A however saw no issue with this. The little girl tried to ask grandma A if she could hold the baby. She said yes but her mother said no because it was up to the mother(me). I then made a quick excuse of how I needed to leave. Grandma A then told me she would carry my son to the car. She did and she buckled him in. I came home crying to my boyfriend telling him I was uncomfortable and she disrespected a clear boundary when I said no. He told me he would take care of it. But given the non confrontational guy he is, I don't see it happening. He also proceeded to act very distant for the rest of the night which made me feel like I was being an overprotective dick of a mother. His parents also got us a baby monitor with an agenda. They got it and told us it was so they could watch my son whenever they wanted from their phones. I was nice enough to let them. I then had to move my camera directly over the crib because they kept moving it to see into the rest of the room. I breast feed and didn't need grandma A and grandpa K seeing my breasts. I asked my boyfriend to talk with them about that. He never did. So that's when I moved the camera. I dont know if I want to wait for him to speak with her or if I should talk to her myself even though she isn't my family. I understand she's the grandparent and I truly love how much they love my son. I'm blessed to have an involved family but the whole ordeal made me feel like I had zero control over my son or his well being. So AITA?

I had a crush on a former coworker who flirted with me heavily for the better part of a year. There was chemistry and I felt a connection. It was so obvious that our coworkers noticed and to this day think that we are secretly dating. I decided to quit (got a better job) and messaged him that I was interested in him and wanted to get drinks. Then I ran into him and his ex out in public. She doesn’t like me, and when I waved at them, she got upset and they had an argument. I was suspicious and messaged him that though I liked him, it seemed like he was in a relationship and not to flirt with me anymore if that was the case.
We met up and he told me that he is single, but that he is not interested in me “like that”. He asked if he ever gave me any signals and apologized when I told him that he had, many times. He said that he always noticed me, that he admires me greatly, and he hopes I get everything I ever wanted. That he has always been “fascinated and amazed” by me, that he thinks I am “interesting, admirable, honest and kind.” That knowing I am interested in him made him feel incredible and lifted his spirits every time we worked together.
I thanked him for his honesty and bid him a good day. He insisted on staying and talking, “I like talking to you and I want to hear all about you and your life,” so I was honest: I had a date that night with my former doctor. He was immediately upset and jealous. I assured him I was no longer a patient and he said, “It’s like when two people meet at work wink perfectly normal.” He asked where and when the date was so he might take a walk and run into me on the date. I said “I hope that doesn’t happen.”
Since then, I have run into him twice and make a point to be calm and carefree whenever I see him. He runs to hold the door for me, tries to make me laugh, hangs around me, and asks lots of questions about my dating life. When I told him I wasn’t going to continue dating my doctor he smiled and sighed with relief. When I mention other men he angrily scoffs and makes snide comments. He stares at me so intensely I get a little uncomfortable, and when I ignore him I can see him bury his head in his hands out of the corner of my eye.
WTF is going on?? My instinct says he wants me to keep flirting with him to boost his ego. And/or, he got in trouble with his “ex,” who appears to be a big factor in his life. Seems he wants to keep me on the back burner at least for sex, because otherwise why continue talking to me after turning me down? Why not reject me at any point in this past year? But why get so upset about my dating life and act this way after he rejected me? Could he genuinely regret it?

Before y’all mods delete my shit hear me out cuz BossTrell (STL/EBT) possibly might not have killed Sheroid. There were a total of 4 offenders, but 2 went ahead and saw sheroid then killed him.
It actually fs can’t be BossTrell because police actually said that there was a suspect named DJ, who is Dutchie as he went by that name back in the day. CPD also has 3 photos of him committing the murder. One of him standing at the scene, one of him with a gun, and the last with him pointing it at Sheroid.
Now listen, BossTrell was around 5’9-6’0, Dutchie is around the same height or atleast around that time. Butta is short around 5’3-5’6 which actually matches the description of the second offender.
Now before y’all niggas also go ahead and say “Oh well DJ was just a guy who got arrested in that area cuz he had those initials”. No that’s not the case. Dutchie who went by DJ is the suspect CPD was talking about. The random Nigga was just a guy that got arrested cuz of that reason but he ain’t the suspect.
There’s also numerous photos of Dutchie and Butta hanging out around that time so that’s my guess.

I'm newly single and still trying to adjust. Most nights I feel alone, sad and just wondering why I do this to myself, but that's a topic for another time. I want to find my person. I want to find someone who is my comfort person. Who can sit in a call for hours, wants to share their screen or share their day with me as we eat dinner (on Discord), who will sit in a game and just talk.
I'm family oriented, I want a family (not right away), I want someone who will work as hard as me (relationship, job, etc.), is funny, kind, caring, compassionate, able to work to make the relationship the best that it can be. I want someone to make things feel beautiful again.
I'm very much a homebody, a hopeless romantic, I love my gaming (PC gamer), I want to start going to the gym, I am overweight but I want to work on that to be healthier and feel better about myself. I paint pottery - when I'm not depressed, I write, watch movies and new shows! I do like to bake and sometimes cook. Most of the time, I prefer games, my free time is very little most of the time. My work takes a lot out of me, some days I work 12 hour shifts so my free time is limited. I would prefer to stay in Upstate New York, not really looking to move/relocate. I did that previous and almost screwed myself over entirely.
I want a burley man, someone who is hard shelled to the world but soft for me. Strong enough to handle me and my attitude. Someone who loves cuddling and physical touch, rather than buying me things (which is also nice - I'm very independant so I need someone who won't let me pay sometimes), someone who works hard at their job but also splurges when vacation hits. I want someone to take me out of my comfort zone - sure let's travel, let's eat our heart out, try new things. I want someone who will sacrifice things, just like I will. Let's make this work because we're only given one life.
