I just backed my 2020 car into a fence. My acceptance of it inspired this.
Beauty in flaws. It used to be that if one of my treasured, valuable physical items was damaged or tarnished in any way, I would see it in a negative light. I t would bring anxiety to find a dent on my car, a stain on a shirt, a chip in a piece of jewelry, or a faded part of a tattoo. Finally, at 29 years old, I have come to adore the "flaws" in the world around me.
It all started with a pair of Ray-ban Clubmasters. One of my first big purchases after starting to make decent money seven years ago, they were soon my most treasured investment. I wouldn't go outside without them on. They were always protecting me. They topped off my personal style.
I was visiting my grandparents one winter in Hawaii, we visited Waikiki and the International Marketplace. My grandmother was in one of her turquoise billowy dresses you would find at a suburban boutique catering to middle-aged white women. She had stacked bangles and large necklaces that always matched her earrings. I stumbled and dropped my sunglasses. At the time I was slightly distressed about it and she matched my concern by offering to buy me a new pair. She would always make outlandish money gestures like this. Of course I declined.
That scratch will always remind me of her. Her outfits, her perfume, and her care. All in that scratch. Those sunglasses only recently broke around 5 years later, now officially warranting a new pair, yet throwing them away is a little upsetting. Every "flaw" is a memory. An experience. A love. A hate. An emotion. Something moving. The scratch was me. Every little item and every little mistake makes up who we are.
Life's decisions, good or bad, can be likened to Wabi-Sabi as well. Maybe you have taken a wrong turn in life, damaging yourself or others. You leave scars and marks on hearts. Scars are left on you. You are not flawed. Mistakes make us humble, our humility brings understanding, and understanding brings peace. I've suffered from my own poor habits in the past. I've put my body and my relationship to the world through turmoil with drugs and alcohol. But the idea that I've suffered becomes to seem a little queer when I begin to accept the concept of Wabi-Sabi with my own heart. I am scarred from my own decisions, but I've emerged more beautiful than before.
Starting from an aesthetic and frugal concept in my head, to so much more than that in practice, Wabi-Sabi is a fine way to view the world.

PM3 is in good condition, though blade does have some markings from regular use opening boxes from Costco. Action is very smooth, and drops shut.
Comes fitted with Micarta Scales and Ti Hardware from Flytanium and a LNW clip. Scales and hardware are pretty much new, just got around to putting them on a couple of days ago. LNW clip is a little scratched up. I have the original Tan G10 scales, hardware and clip, along with packaging.

Yes you read it right, this shit is caked in rattlecan. No external scratches from what I can tell, and couldn’t possibly have any given how there’s like half an inch of rubbery shit caked on it.
Catch and Release from GAFS, rattle can comes off surprisingly easy when I scraped it with a wooden q tip, so shouldn’t take too much effort to clean it up. However I’m lazy so you get the pleasure of doing it.
No lens caps and no lrp mount. Glass is clear and no salt afaict.

I have a lawyer who isn't very helpful, but I can't afford a new one at the moment. My emotionally abusive and narcissistic ex-husband is now being emotionally abusive to our 10 y/o child.
We are currently on a time-sharing plan I created in good faith.
I found out our child has started hurting/scratching herself while she is in his custody (I caught her doing it the night before she was to be picked up by her father and took pictures of her arms). She is riddled with anxiety and fear because of the awful things he says to her. I have a video of him saying awful things to her as well. Her grades have also started to suffer drastically since this all started.
Many people tell me that I have every right to keep my daughter away from him if I feel like she is in danger because of his actions, but I have a job and he doesn't. Which means, during the summer, while my daughter is out of school, I have to leave my her with my mom while I am at work. He knows this as that's where he picks her up from on the days we switch. I cannot risk my ex-husband strong arming his way into my mother's home (as I know he will) and have him take our daughter by force and possibly disappear with her as he knows people upstate he can stay with. He would have no problem doing that in order to "teach me a lesson"... all at our daughter's expense.
I'm terrified of what will become of her mental health if this continues. I feel stuck as my lawyer says none of what I've mentioned will stand up in court (our first court date is set for the end of this year).
I greatly fear for my daughter's safety. How can it be that I have no options? I asked my lawyer about a protection order against him on behalf of my daughter, but she said I had nothing to stand on for it and brushed me off. What are my options? What can I do in the meantime while I save up for a different lawyer?
Please help me.

Vero Synapse - Gen 2 with black micarta and M390 blade. Purchased here on the swap, still in excellent condition as I haven't used or carried it. Awesome little knife, just doesn't take the place of any that I choose to carry. Includes pouch with COA and stickers. I paid 340 for it but not sure how much they've come down in price. SV 300.
Berg Iron Wolf - Newer version with brown micarta and black DLC blade. I took this on a trade, great knife but a little too big for me. Like new condition, I don't think it was ever carried or cut with. SV 250.
Chaves TAK - Titanium version with M390 tanto blade. Another one I took in on a trade, awesome little tank of a knife, I really like the aggressive feel of the jimping on the blade. Selling because I don't think I'll ever choose to carry it over my halftrack. Like new condition with box, this must have been from before they started including and extra clip because this only has the skull clip and no slot in the box for an extra one. SV 180.
Giant Mouse Ace Biblio - Burgundy micarta scales and M390 blade with flipper. Purchased here on the swap and haven't carried or cut with it myself. Does have a slight mark on the blade that I couldn't get to show up in photos easily but otherwise it's in great condition. For some reason this came in a box for an Ace Grand so that's what I'll send it in. SV 130.
Boker Plus Exskelibur Cocobolo - Purchased here on the swap, seems like it's seen a lot of use but still has plenty of life left. I bought this because I was considering purchasing a Burger EXK which this is very similar too, I only carried it a couple days then it's just been sitting in my drawer. No box or anything with this one. SV 40.
Civivi Baklash - Green G10, purchased here as a user, I never ended up using it myself. Has slight scratches on both sides of the blade, otherwise seems to be in good condition. Sharpened by previous owner. I didn't care for it because it has an incredibly light detent, still flies open if you give it a good lightswitch flip though. No box or anything else. Barely seems worth selling with the cost of shipping but it's still a solid knife, if someone wants to add it on to the purchase of another knife would be a good deal. SV 25.
Boos Hound - Purchased this one as a user and haven't done anything with it. Has some marks on the scales and blade and previous owner sharpened it which is a little uneven in some parts but can only tell if you look closely, overall great knife for a user. I can't find the box or anything else for this one. SV 100.

TOTK (loving it so far) has me really missing classic, mid-era puzzleboxes, where the entire dungeon is one big mechanized room, and you have to solve the whole thing holistically to advance. Most posts I see here asking for good Zelda alternatives recommend Okami, Darkseiders, and Tunic, which are all fantastic, but don't really scratch the itch dungeon-wise. I'm thinking of Great Bay Temple, Eagle's Tower, the Water Temple (choose your own); real labrynths that you spend hours in, with looping, branching paths, and real "aha!" moments.
I couldn't find a post asking specifically about dungeons, though if you can think of a good discussion in the past, please share it.
So anyone had any luck scratching that dungeon itch elsewhere? I really miss them.

Hi. Sorry if this is basic stuff on the launchpad but I've been struggling to find out specifics for the uses I need if I buy one.
I play with rock cover bands and previously used an Akai mpx16 and usb keyboard to do synths/sampling for bands like Linkin Park etc.
For example the song numb. Can I do this with an launchpad?
For numb I have 19 different samples/sounds I play with the band.
The 5 notes of the main synth 8 piano chords (4 verse/chorus and 4 pre chorus/bridge) A long strings note in the bridge and final chorus 4 distorted piano notes for the chorus 2 scratching sounds.
For the 5 synth sounds I would group them so that they killed each other when a new pad was played and the sample only played as long as the pad was held down.
For the piano chords they would be grouped and play as long as the duration of the sample after a hit, but be killed by any other piano chord in the group.
The long synth note I would hit once to play, and hit again to turn off.
While the 4 distorted piano notes and scratch samples would just play out with no groupings or kill switches.
At times I need to trigger sounds from different groups at the same time (for example the chorus piano chords with the main synth sound).
If this makes sense, can someone please advise if this is possible with the launchpad? I basically just want to use it like an akai sampler, except with 64 pads instead of 16, but all the functionality of a sampler. There's so many different practical uses for this device that it can be incredibly difficult to find if it can be used for the purposes I need though.

We rescued a feral kitten, about 8 months old now, and he had gotten a good bill of health and had an immaculate coat. He now has several small balding patches on his head. He scratches more often lately than I would consider normal….scratched enough that it seems to have started breaking skin.
I should mention, I noticed a couple other cats in the colony I rescued him from, has similar balding patches.
Given this developed quickly and seemingly out of nowhere, it’s concerning. Any advice is appreciated!

So Im about to purchase some PSA slabs with old design. However, they have been scratched all over a bit, if I submit to PSA for reholder, will they gimme the old design back? I did not like much their new design compares to old ones.
