2023.06.07 07:09 kksingh11 Identity Politics is anti Working Class
The Use of Identity Politics to Undermine the Left Anna Coco
The US government and ruling elite have infiltrated and attempted to destroy the Left since its inception. In the 1960’s the CIA think tanks came up with numerous strategies to destroy the Left, such as promoting drug use and promiscuous sexuality as a form of not only “Brave New World” escapism, but diverting attention from working class issues. Remember Jerry Garcia repeating Timothy Leary’s famous quote “turn on, tune in, and drop out?” Even the decriminalization of marijuana today is really not to stop the Prison Industrial Complex, which is still arresting millions of young men, especially those of colour, but about pushing escapism as a replacement for protesting in a country where half the population lives near or below the poverty line. “Get high; forget your cares.” “Don’t fight back. Jesus was a pacifist.” (Forget that Jesus flogged the bankers in the temple during Passover.) The Communist Party USA and other Left parties were successful in pushing back this degeneration, discouraging drug and alcohol use as well as criticizing sexual objectification, particularly of women.
Another government strategy involved promoting Identity Politics, which along with political correctness in the late 1980’s actually achieved its goal of successfully undermining the Left as can be seen in its current state. This time period wasn’t coincidental, since this was the time the Berlin Wall fell and the Soviet Union was collapsing. It was at this point that the Left started turning inward and becoming fragmented, with no centre to keep it together which is what the Soviet Union represented. Feeling betrayed, demoralized, and bewildered, the CIA easily infiltrated and injected the Left with its poisonous sting, causing many Left parties to reject dialectical materialism, and in some cases even Marxism itself! ID politics was the late 1960’s brain child of the CIA to divide and conquer the Left, pitting groups against each other. Political Correctness helped promote ID politics by using the same methods as McCarthyism. Since socialism is a logical, scientific economic system, proponents couldn’t be allowed to explain or discuss what is was or it would convert others; therefore McCarthyism relied on shutting down debates and free discussion by employing name calling, shouting down speakers, and further isolating and marginalizing Leftists, especially through blacklisting them.
From the 1930’s to the 1970’s the motto of the Communist Party and the Left was “Black and White Unite”. The question for example of the CP getting involved, whether in the Scottsboro Case or in unionizing the segregated South, took place with many open debates, where all questions were allowed to be raised, discussed, and answered, including those by less advanced white workers who didn’t understand or agree. It was the openness of these discussions and debates that allowed this sector to understand the nature of racism and to make the CP’s motto a success. In a nation that was then only 12% black, gaining white support during the Civil Rights era was crucial in changing the nation and its laws. The Black Panther Party understood this and gave talk in some of the poorest white communities such as in the Appalachians; even converting and forming important alliances with white working class organizations, such as the Young Patriots in Chicago.
The CIA unfortunately successfully changed “Black and White Unite” into Identity Politics in the 1970’s, where different special interest groups began vying for crumbs, promoting selfish individualism and rejecting collectivism, one of the basic foundations of Marxist Leninist ideology.
Following bourgeois feminism, white men were now the enemy and women felt pitted to fight men in order to demand more managerial jobs. Blacks began demanding the right to have more black police officers; as if women oppressing other women or black officers cracking the heads of black men was somehow progressive. What followers of ID politics failed to understand was that changing the driver didn’t change the system. My chances as a woman of dying from a preventable heart attack are the same whether the doctor at the hospital today is male or female, as are the chances a black man having his head smashed in by the cops whether the officer is white or black. Instead of collectivism, workers divided among race, sex, ethnicity, religion, etc., promoting selfish individualism. Of course there are supportive women and people of colour. But certain individuals are not the system. A perfect example was the Left dismantling the anti-war movement during the Obama administration because it would be seen as racist to protest a black president. What was forgotten were the millions killed abroad in US wars of Imperialism, especially Africans who didn’t care what race the current president was. As a result, today, Libyan men are being sold into slavery!
Whereas before ID politics, the enemy was clearly understood to be US imperialism, or the 1%, now the enemy had become the white, heterosexual, male workers. Marxists understand that white men are not our enemies, but our necessary allies in getting reforms under capitalism and in overthrowing the true enemy, the 1%. United we stand, divided we fall.
Unfortunately this vilification and exclusion of white males led to bitterness, creating the racism and sexism we see today. Many were driven into the arms of the right-wing in order to feel included. Enter transgender ideology, the new ID politics of today. Exploiting the Lesbian, gay, and bisexual movement, although the ideology itself is anti-gay and homophobic, it has been promoting itself as the Civil Rights movement of the 21st century. Let’s forget that Native people, African-Americans, and women still haven’t won many significant civil rights.
If white men were the enemy of yesteryear, women are now the new enemy, regardless of colour or race, allowing men their turn to experience inclusion in the Left by attacking and excluding women.
It’s not for nothing that penises are still called penises, but vaginas are front-holes, breast-feeding is chest-feeding, and woman can get their monthlies just like men (although I would seriously suggest that any man who does should go see a doctor ASAP and have their hemorrhoids put back in). Because transgender ideology, which is not the same as transgender individuals, just as all feminists are not bourgeois feminists, is a two-pronged attack not just against women, but the Left, too.
Its first prong of attack undermines women’s contribution to reproducing capital, both as the sex that bears tomorrow workers and cannon fodder and as workers. Discussions on birth control, maternity leave, food stamps, public services, as well as low wages and work inequality along with sexual harassment that affect working class women, become subordinate to transgender questions that affect less than 1/10 of 1% of the population, such as unisex bathrooms.
The second prong undermines the unity of the Left and the possibility of revolution. As Lenin said, “There can be no real mass movement without the women.” How can there be when women represent half the population and are the most exploited sex under crapitalism? In fact, how many people are aware that every major revolution in history was started by women? From the English, French, and the Russian Revolution, which by the way took place on March 8, 1917, International Women’s Day, it was women demanding bread that began it all. It is women who generally have to take care of and feed the family, especially the children. Prevent women from organizing or leading their own organizations, and the 1% are guaranteed there will be no reform or revolution.
What is Marxism? What does it represent? It doesn’t represent Hegelian idealism nor does it represent bourgeois mechanistic science. It represents a historical, dialectical materialism that analyzes the evolution of human society from one form to another, as Charles Darwin’s theories in the Origin of the Species analyzed the evolution of living beings.
Much of the transgender movement isn’t even working class; it mainly represents white, upper middle-class males who are racist, homophobic, and misogynist. It argues for gender stereotypes that tell homosexual men, for example, that they are really women or that racism is an imaginary concept. When transwomen says they are women, they are in fact negating not just biology and science, but eliminating the whole history of oppression that women experience. You heard the expression, you are what you eat. Imagine someone saying “I ate some soul food last night and I’m feeling black, although I’ve never seen a black person in my lilywhite town.”
Transgender ideology has set a dangerous precedent by referring to feelings rather than biology, which ultimately allows discrimination not just against women, but people of colour including native people.
Women aren’t oppressed because of a feeling, but because of their sex; for physically being the only sex that can literally reproduce the workers for capital. Being a woman isn’t a feeling. Just like being black isn’t a feeling. Being a Native American isn’t a feeling. I can’t wash off my sex any more than a person of colour can wash off their colour. Is capitalism a feeling, too? Can we unfeel exploitation on Monday morning?
Liberals who reject dialectical materialism reject nature and the evolutionary connection in nature.
Transgender ideology is effectively using language to erase women and subordinate them to the fetishes of men in nearly every English-speaking country. With the passing in England of the Gender Recognition Act, which Congress is trying to pass in the US as the Equality Act, women must defer to men as men now have the right to enter female facilities and colonize female sports at will against the wishes of women and the safety of girls. It took until 1920 for women in the US to have separate bathrooms, which Russian women won in the 1917 revolution. Lenin in fact championed female-only spaces and female leadership in female organizations. Really, how many women would like to turn around in the women’s showers and see a throbbing hard boner on a transgender woman staring at you? What about at a Rape Centre or women’s prison? For those who don’t know, it’s already happening: paedophiles and male rapists insisting they feel like women have been allowed into girls’ bathrooms and even placed in women’s prisons where they have raped women. Female sports and scholarships, better kiss that goodbye as men by birth have a physical advantage over women. Let’s go back to 1950’s America.
When the Left so wholehearted absorbed trans ideology, it threw scientific socialism under the bus as well as thoroughly self-destructing, making it the butt of jokes for the right-wing. From Black Lives Matter to FRSO Left, ISO, WWP, CWL, and PC USA to name just a few, all these organizations are now being redubbed Politically Correct USA.
It is rape to ever demand or try to coerce someone to have sex regardless of their age, sex, or gender. There is no place in any civilized society to allow rape or rape culture, and especially not the Left. In other cases, women were expelled for exposing male sexual predators, such as in ISO, DSA, WWP, and PC USA. I was told I should be ashamed of myself for shaming the PC USA by exposing a predator, when that party should be ashamed. In other cases, women were expelled because they didn’t agree with male comrades over the question of prostitution and violent porn. Imagine the outrage if a black man was stripped of his position and expelled, because he didn’t like to be called an N* and didn’t agree that slavery and lynching films weren’t empowering? In fact, why is the Left offended by Black Face, but not by Drag? Transgenderism is misogyny in drag.
Soros has spent over millions of dollars promoting transgenderism. Yet women on the Left who complained were ridiculed and silenced.
After the fall of the Soviet Union, the CP subverted itself to neoliberalism when it decided to pimp itself to the Democratic Party. Even the ISO, FRSO right and many other so-called Left parties began embracing bourgeois liberalism, which has its roots in neo-liberalism or the free market economy, completing wedding themselves to parliamentary instead revolutionary goals.
Think of the level of misogyny; the CIA couldn’t destroy so many grousp like WW, which has existed for 60 years. How did it finally destroy these parties through transgenderism? Before we think this is an organic movement, which is separate from being transgender, it is actually funded by the CIA and its think tanks. That is the reason why it funded by so much money. Any legitimate organization would distance itself from these elements and I’m sure there are LGBTQ+ organizations that did.
When the National Center for Transgender Equality Action Fund hosted the 2018 Trans Equality Now Awards in Washington D.C. on May 17, 2018, its sponsors looked like something from a parody. The list included: the CIA, George Soros’ Open Society, Facebook (which is partially funded by the Atlantic Council, i.e. NATO), Google, Amazon, Capital One Bank, Shook, Hardy & Bacon (a law firm dedicated to defending Big Pharma), as well as a number of pharmaceutical companies and clinics including: Gilead Sciences, Meltzer Clinic, and Pharma. [See comments at the end of this article.] For women on the Left, this open display by the CIA and Soros was like the government and the bankers sticking their middle finger at them. It proved what they had been saying all along.
To this day, the Left still hasn’t apologized to women and is still promoting destructive ID politics, pushing women to the hypocritical right-wing. It makes perfect sense for liberals to be doing this, because as their name suggests neo-liberalism, they want to push women to the right. But why the Left? In fact, why was the Left so eager to adopt trans ideology and expel women.
Either promote the Left, that is the Left we’ve inherited and, like a corrupt union, we understand as Marxist-Leninists that we don’t destroy, but attempt to revitalize, or create female Left organizations like Women for Racial and Economic Equality to push Left more left.
Comment on sources
The source for the CIA and others having funded the 2018 Trans Equality Now Awards seems to have “disappeared” from the internet, and they seem to have decided that their sponsorship of the 2019 awards would have been too open. However, after some searching, we were able to find the Transgender Equality Annual Report 2017, at:
https://transequality.org/sites/default/files/docs/resources/annual%20report%20 2017%20final.pdf (page 8; page 10 of pdf), which includes the same sponsors as in 2018.
Also, Soros’ Open Society Foundations has funded individual transgender activists who are leaders in various Left organizations. One is Imani Henry, a leading member of International Action Center and Workers World Party. The source of this is available at:
https://www. opensocietyfoundations.org/sites/default/files/cfp_20050101.pdf, on p. 10-11. This criticism is more aimed at his party than at him himself, for allowing him to accept this funding, just as no progressive trade union organization would have its members accept money from the American Institute for Free Labor Development (AIFLD), a notorious conduit for CIA funding.
As sources mysteriously disappear from the internet, we have put these sources on the web-site used by Towards Marxist-Leninist Unity (

You were abandoned. You're not in contact with them and it's incredibly hard. You are craving communication from someone who doesn't want you, their feelings and heart changed. So the chapter came to an end. Think of all the times you were crushing on someone or your past relationships. The spark is just a spark. It is diminished now.
So you got two choices. Find someone to replace them quick so you can cope thru attention and sex. Or trust and take care of yourself to rebuild the spark healthily. It's diminished for now, not forever. Lol you really think you won't feel again haha. That's your mind in pain. Have faith, go day by day, week to week. Slowly and subtly your spark rebuilds and becomes a flame again for a brand new human.
Basically it's an emotional cycle that will only require time to get you back up. But you will get back up, "science" proves it. Have faith

2023.06.07 07:07 paulhenrybeckwith Global Warming in the Pipeline: What the Science Says
After reading the vitally important landmark paper called “Global Warming in the Pipeline” by James E. Hansen and his colleagues for about the fifth time, I finally have a decent enough understanding of the paper to explain it to the general reader in a hopefully digestible and understandable video.
It does get quite technical, but I am hopeful that the key points can be understood, along with a rudimentary understanding of how they come about.
The key finding is that from 1970 to 2010, the average global warming rate was 0.18 degrees Celsius per decade.
Since 2010, this rate has accelerated to be between 0.27 degrees Celsius per decade and 0.36 degrees Celsius per decade.
Clearly, with a faster decadal warming rate, we will exceed the 1.5 C temperature guard band this decade and exceed the 2.0 C temperature threshold before 2050 (much sooner in my opinion).
The main reason for the step-increase in global warming rate appears to be the reduction of aerosols mostly by China and by the International Maritime Organization regulating (reducing) sulphur content in ship fuels.
The Fast Feedback Equilibrium Climate Sensitivity (ECS) is 1.2 degrees C per Watt per square meter climate forcing.
Present day climate forcing relative to 1750 is 4.1 Watt per square meter, so the fast feedback warming in the pipeline is about 5 degrees Celsius. Add the slow feedback warming which is about the same magnitude and we get a whopping 10C in the pipeline. Todays levels of aerosols would reduce this to 8 C.
Hansen then goes on to describe what humanity must do to reset.
Essentially, have a rising fee-and-dividend price on fossil fuels and zero subsidies. Revisit nuclear power with new technologies. Also deploy CDR (Carbon Dioxide Removal) and SRM (Solar Radiation Management) to reduce radiative forcing to bring the Earth back to Holocene temperatures.
Stay tuned in the near future for Hansen’s next paper on Global Sea Level in the Pipeline.

2023.06.07 07:07 senhoripositori My (25M) girlfriend (24F) ended our 4 year relationship after I forgave her for "cheating"
I met my (now ex) girlfriend in November 2018 and we started dating in March 2019. Our relationship has always been excellent and we would talk about absolutely anything all the time. I've always been super understanding with her and she with me, and last year she helped me face a very serious depression (and I can say with certainty that I'm only alive today because of her).
However, she also started to face a very serious stomach problem last year and since then she has been in constant pain, which has fucked up her mental health and even after several trips to the doctor nothing can cure this pain. It also affected our relationship a lot because we can't do a lot of the things we used to do and she lost all her libido (I can't even remember when was the last time we had sex).
In March, a few days before our 4 year anniversary, we had a huge fight because I found out that she had downloaded Tinder. I got pissed, said a lot of things to her and said I wanted to break up. In the end, I ended up changing my mind and forgave her because I understood her reasons. I know she didn't cheat on me and it was more of a matter of getting an ego boost because she barely felt like a human being because of the pain. She was with me through my best and worst times so I decided she deserved a second chance.
The problem is that since then our relationship has not been the same. We had several extremely stupid fights, we only talked about trivialities, one takes a long time to answer the other when we're messaging and today I decided to have a serious discussion with her (it was a recommendation of my psychologist). I asked if she was happy with our relationship and she said no, and I also said I wasn't. I told her (for the millionth time) about the importance of seeking psychological help, but she was still reluctant. She said that she often thought we should have broken up in March and that what we've had since then was just "survival". I said that I loved her and that I was willing to fight for us, but she said that she didn't have the strength for that anymore.
I don't even know what to feel after all this. I didn't do anything wrong, I've always been a good boyfriend to her and she just wants to give up on us. We would make plans about getting married and having kids and now she couldn't care less. On the other hand, I feel that with the way things were going it was really inevitable and maybe it's a relief that it's all over. I don't know what to think, I think the penny hasn't dropped yet.
tl;dr my girlfriend ended our 4 year relationship after I forgave her for downloading Tinder

2023.06.07 07:07 Amazing-Operation805 Self Sufficient / Parallel Communities Project
About a month ago I was recommended this inspirational YouTube video:
https://youtu.be/WrNOT2OiykE by a youtuber known as The Woodlander. Prior to seeing the ideas put fourth by the video I already had the idea of buying a small plot of land, building a cabin and living "off grid" alone. Since then my ideas have changed, but the core fundamentals of self sufficiency are still the same.
My new plan is to create a parallel community that is detached from the mainstream society. Not just merely in sense of producing food, water and energy, but also being detached from the culture and collective morale of the outer world. Also this project would be done with family, friends and other likeminded people, as apposed to atomized individuals or couples living alone on some small plot of land, that whole concept is basically one of those braindead "off grid cabin trends" or "tiny home trends". It is essentially propaganda which has been deliberately pushed to further atomize humanity.
Here are my two ideas for organizing this project:
- The first idea is to acquire one large plot land and build the community there. Possibly anywhere from 1000 to 3000 acres of land.
- The second idea would be to acquire multiple smaller plots of land that are in close proximity to each other and then have families or groups of families live on that land. Somewhere from 5 acres to a few hundred acres. They will basically act as a community.
Ideally this land would be forested, partially forested or meadows with trees.
I know there will be few negative IQ comments that will say "nObOdy cAn bE sELf sUfficEnt". yes, we know. Nobody can be entirely self sufficient, however there is a spectrum. The primary goal here is to not be reliant on grocery stores, supply chains, energy grids, public water system, basically anything that you rely on to survive.

2023.06.07 07:07 Accomplished-Lock-33 Feeling out the loneliness
For the first time right now I am really feeling the depths of my narcissism, I've been able to feel parts of it for a while but never really let myself feel the full sum. Feel how little I connect with and care about the people around me, really disturbing and I frequently think to myself that I don't want to be that way, and that I would like to work not to be that way. Today though I've been trying to let down those walls that are the barrier in my brain between who I am and who I wish I was, and now that I'm feeling who I am it's someone who really isn't interested in being close with other people. It makes me feel terrible and I don't want to live my life as a hermit, just like most humans I need other people and I know part of it is just a tiredness but I've never thought of myself as somebody who's willing to just give up on all the people around me, but that's how I seem to feel. It feels like an extreme version of depersonalization where part of the problem is I can't feel people around me and their presence but the other part is that I'm not really interested in feeling them even if I could, is anybody else experience this?

2023.06.07 07:06 BizzyHaze Any low cost places for spaying/neutering?
The humane society appears to have one, but only for people on government assistance or active duty. The local Banfield charges $600 which seems like a lot - are there any good value options in the area? I don't need it for a couple more months, but just planning ahead.

2023.06.07 07:05 DontUseYouStatements Is it just The Wild Hunt?
From Wikipedia:
"The Wild Hunt is a folklore motif occurring across various northern European cultures (motif E501 per Thompson). Wild Hunts typically involve a chase led by a mythological figure escorted by a ghostly or supernatural group of hunters engaged in pursuit. The leader of the hunt is often a named figure associated with Odin in Germanic legends, but may variously be a historical or legendary figure like Theodoric the Great, the Danish king Valdemar Atterdag, the dragon slayer Sigurd, the Welsh psychopomp Gwyn ap Nudd, biblical figures such as Herod, Cain, Gabriel, or the Devil, or an unidentified lost soul or spirit either male or female. The hunters are generally the souls of the dead or ghostly dogs, sometimes fairies, valkyries, or elves."
" Seeing the Wild Hunt was thought to forebode some catastrophe such as war or plague, or at best the death of the one who witnessed it. People encountering the Hunt might also be abducted to the underworld or the fairy kingdom. In some instances, it was also believed that people's spirits could be pulled away during their sleep to join the cavalcade."
"In the Welsh folklore, Gwyn ap Nudd was depicted as a wild huntsman riding a demon horse who hunts souls at night along with a pack of white-bodied and red-eared 'dogs of hell'.
There is a lot more information on the Wikipedia entry:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wild_Hunt As for how the town could be a "fairy kingdom" when it's so horrific, well, faeries aren't all warm and fuzzy it seems:
"Fairies of folklore were vicious, vindictive and cruel, embodying forces of nature, lesser deities or even the spirits of the dead (depending on the legend), and often appearing as monstrous figures rather than the winged pixie-like beings we associate the word with today."
"Of all the trooping fairies, however, the Unseelie Court was seen as the most dangerous to man and often went on wild hunts, spectral spectacles in which goblins and ghouls of every size would run rampant...The Unseelie Court contained many horrific monsters, demons and fairies that could vary from being mischievious to being truly wicked and they were said to be most active around the hours of midnight and three at night...Unlike the Seelie Court the Unseelie Court needed no provocation when it came to attacking humans and took great delight in their work."

2023.06.07 07:03 comfortablesweater Book Binders or Restorers in Chicagoland Needed
Heya all, and I'd really appreciate any help from you guys! I have a book from my childhood that is so, so special to me - I was given it for my 1st birthday (so 43 years old, lol) and, suffice to say, it's very well-loved. I am looking for a book binder or restorer that knows how to repair a book (i.e., fix the spine) without ruining/"fixing" much of the damage I did to it in my childhood. I 100% know I can look this up on google, but I'm not sure who to trust with this. Any help would truly, truly be appreciated!

2023.06.07 07:02 Prestigious_Ad_3891 Sharesies bbby price
My topic is sharesies and the problems investing there. Currently, Bbby is listed as 0.075 cents sell and every other platform as 25 cents sell (google 25 cents) and the price difference has been going on, for weeks. I looked for complaints on this and found none. I did write in to sharesies and will get a human response tomorrow. As most of you know, bbby US has filed bankruptcy. The court is currently asking companies for disclosure and wants a share count of the shares. Finding out if more shares are out there, than were issued legally. I cannot find the Sharesies reviews on google and waiting for sharesies club, to accept my post. I was careful not to write anything damaging and do not expect my post to be accepted in fb. In New Zealand, we are too protective of companies and cannot criticize them. It is really hard to invest, with the secrecy here. Is anyone else, experiencing problems investing here. The reason I never used a broker, is they are heavily involved in short selling. Technically we own the shares in sharesies, even though we benefit as shareholders.

2023.06.07 07:02 Rainbow62993 Season 6 - Elena compelled by Rick plot hole?
I'm rewatching TVD for the millionth time and it never occurred to me until this time that I don't understand why Rick's compulsion to make Elena forget she loved Damon didn't disappear when Rick was turned back into a human and saved by Jo in Mystic Falls.
A vampires compulsion always gets eliminated the moment a vampire is killed. Technically, Rick's vampiric side was "killed" the moment his vampire curse was undone in Mystic Falls and he became human again.
This also plays into a factor in the final Season when Stefan becomes a human and everyone he ever compelled lost their compulsion.
Any compulsion he did during that time should've been erased. So why wasn't it?

2023.06.07 07:01 4ShotBot My Roommate is Slenderman: Finale/Epilogue
Part 26:
https://www.reddit.com/Viidith22/comments/141nvay/my_roommate_is_slenderman_part_26/ (Terry)
I awoke an hour later, brain pulsing. I was in the back of the van laying on the floor, “The prodigal son returns, welcome back you crazy son of a bitch!” Tucker laughed.
“Took on a god face to face. Pretty sure the only one with bigger balls than that would be Abraham. Though, balls didn’t save you.” Doc said, looking up from his book.
“Took the last core I had, but at least I can say I’ve killed a god now.” Tucker snickered with a smirk.
“Concentrated light, can’t say it’s what I would have thought of, but it was effective.”
“Yeah, wasn’t effective portably until we came across some anti-matter from a crashed–”
“What?” I tried sitting up but failed.
“Right.” He stood, propping up the left row of seats, and pulled out a black case. Flicking it up he aimed it down at me, “Anti-matter annihilation laser. Think you can piece it together.” There were about five lenses that each shrunk, narrowing the barrel to a tip. Everything but the lenses was coated in a vanta black paint, “Each lens reduces the energy state while also–”
“I couldn’t give less fucks if I pulled them out of Doc’s patients. You killed him with that thing?”
“Yup, his head’s probably gettin' breathed in from the wildlife out here.” He clicked the case shut, put it back in place, and sat.
“And the data is intact?”
There was a brief pause, “While it is, I feel it’s important to be more concerned about yourself. You have major skull fractures, a concussion, you’re missing your face flesh, your back had to be clotted to avoid you bleeding out, and you are severely low on blood. You should be sleeping right now.”
“I just, I had to know.”
“Knowing you, you’ll be back on your feet in–”
I passed out again before he finished talking.
---------------------------------------------
When I awoke, I was on my bed, Sepratine was applying herbs to my face, “Ho–”
“16 hours, Doctor Sadist and Rachel are busy. You really ought to be more cautious, this isn’t one of your video games.”
“Yeah, I’ll keep that in mind. You heard from Jones?”
“No, apparently he passed out at the wheel after he parked. The Sadist said they’d be out for a while. He’s having Rachel look them over once she finishes a project she’s working on.”
“Shouldn’t you be helping her?”
She put her mortar down and sighed, “Flip onto your side, I need to replace the bandages on your back, then you need to eat.”
She finished tending to me in silence, then went to cook. The whole time, I just wanted to get up and finish everything. But even if I did, the data wasn’t fully recovered until it was sifted through. So I resigned to wait until the detective got back to me.
Sepratine came back a while later with a plate toppling over itself and a glass of water. Not to get too detailed, but both were empty in a matter of… 30 seconds or so? “Now get back to sleep. Your face should be back to normal in another day, and your skull is still fusing back together.”
“Let me know when Jones has the info.” She stood, taking my plate and cup.
“Someone will I’m sure. Get some rest, and don’t do anything I wouldn’t. You were reckless enough… Whatever, goodbye.”
-------------------------------
When I came to again, my face was dry, the medicine Sepratine had put on felt like a cracked desert, leaving a green crust behind. I stood, heading to the bathroom to wash my face. I took my meds, then removed the bandages from my back. Heading back to my room, I grabbed my phone, seeing several missed calls and texts. I immediately opened the message from Jones.
Call me when you wake up, I’ve got it, you’re not gonna believe where it is. The phone rang four times, “Eh? Terry, that you?” He yawned.
“Yeah, what’s the deal?”
“You remember when you first met me?”
“No.”
“Well, I was headed to a town down in southeastern Oregon, one that wasn’t on any maps. And you’re not gonna believe this shit, but Tenyit Lane, the place I went, that’s where he’s being held.”
“So you know where I need to go?”
“Yeah, the place is a hot zone for organizations. There’re at least seven that I’ve recorded since I first went, and that’s not including–”
“And?”
“Well, point is, there’s security everywhere, people are gonna be everywhere, and the police and government officials are gonna be too busy counting bodies to care about one missing person.”
“Send me the coordinates.” I took a picture of my wall, putting the phone back against my ear.
“I’ll do you one better, I still have an old map to the place, I’ll send it over.”
“I don’t care what you say, I am paying you after this.”
I was already out the door, wearing nothing but a hoodie and sweatpants. I started the car, threw on EDM, and headed down to find Joseph.
------------------------------
A grey smoke rose in the night air above the town. I had a good ten miles left on the empty road before getting to the one stop on the entire strip. As I climbed the mountain, I turned my windshield wipers up more and more. The road was coated in a light crust of white, the speckles dropping ever so carefully in the light wind.
As I rounded a bend, I saw a flicker of headlights through the pine trees. Rounding the next one, I saw the lights again, this time coming around their own turn, before heading in my direction. The snow picked up as I met the gaze of the other driver, it was her.
I screeched to a stop, whipping a U-turn that nearly sent me into the rails. I stopped, having noticed her car was pulled over to the railing too. I jumped out of my car, running over to her, and grasping her in my arms, “I thought I’d killed you Tresca!”
Setting her down, my brain fully processed its surroundings. The person in front of me was Joseph, he was a bit shocked, but the rest of him reminded me of how he looked when we first met, “I-I’m sorry, I just–”
“Look, Terry. Honestly, it’s great to see you, great to have clear evidence I’m not crazy, great to know all those fun ass memories at the apartment were real. But…”
“I’m just so glad you’re okay.”
He smirked, but his eyes were hollow, “Yeah, okay…”
“I mean, you’re alive though!”
“Terry, this isn’t going to work.” He looked up, “I can’t ignore what you said when you saw me.” He looked back at me, nervous, “I read up on you, it was intrusive, and I’m sorry for that, but I can’t keep being a replacement. I need to live my own life, I need to get away from all this, I…” His eyes filled, but refused to streak, “I want to live a life away from all of this. I know a normal life isn’t really an option anymore. But I still wanna do what I can.”
“You… read my files?” I glanced at my phone, thinking about the picture I’d taken before leaving, “Which ones?”
“Your old life, hers too. Once I got ahold of my files, I decided to do some digging. I was me, but not I guess, I had to get an understanding of who the people I used to know were. I know about Tresca, I remember your conversation with Maerod.”
“I…”
He waited for a while, a few cars flew by us before he took the rope, “I will never regret the time we had. We had fun, we had some adventures and even a few emotional tipping points. Without you and everyone else, I’d probably have a slab of a ruck on top of me now. I don’t feel like dying anymore, but I also don’t feel like living. I’m sorry, but… I need to find my life out there.” He threw his arm up, gesturing around, “But if I stay with you, I’ll never get that chance.”
I tried to maintain myself, for seemingly the first time, taking Joseph as a person in. His overgrown brown hair, his blue eyes, broad shoulders, bland outfit. “You look different from before.”
“I feel different.” He shot a breath out his nose.
I staggered, “Let me grab something from my car before you go. You mind coming with?”
He nodded, gazing up at the grey sky. Several more cars flew past us as we made our way to mine. When we got there, I pulled out a small bag,
I reached into my car, pulling out the contract, “This was the guy that placed a hit on your wife. He’s dead now.”
A car flew by, lighting up his face to reveal his frozen face, “Y-you mean it? Who killed him?” He snatched the paper from my hand, looking over the entire sheet.
“The detective put on her case, the original guy is my understanding. Goes by Jones, he’s a P.I. now.”
“Really? Where is he?”
I cleared my throat, “You su–”
“Positive, where is he?”
I rubbed my arm, but looking at his hopeful face, I caved, “Apex Investigation Office, downtown Albany.”
He hugged me, “Thank you… Seriously, this…” He cried into my stomach for a time before pulling back and recomposing himself. Rubbing his nose dry, he turned around.
“Wait!”
He stopped, turning his head to me, “Yeah?”
I held onto my phone, debating to show him the picture or not. We stood still as two more cars flew by, followed by one with sirens. I pushed my phone back into my pocket, “Where are you going?”
He turned back to his car, holding up the contract, “To repay a debt. You’ll get yours too one of these days.”
Sitting in his car, he drove off without another word.
I sat in mine, pulling the phone from my pocket, and opened the gallery. I had one recent picture, it was one of the walls in my room, one with several posters. All of which were had drawn anime style portraits of Tresca. “Maybe Abraham was right, and maybe, Joseph has the right idea too.”

(Joseph)
Epilogue:
I dried my face as I left him behind, unsure of what to do first. I sat with music blasting for the first hour, mind flashing through the events like a slideshow. When I eventually came across a convenience store. It was a 24/7 place, the kind that had hot dogs on the roller for days at a time, and the only people that worked there couldn’t get a job anywhere else.
I pulled into a parking space and picked my phone off the passenger seat. I’d already decided I’d go to the detective’s place last. But I’d never been to Rachel’s before, and I didn’t remember her phone number. “What if I?”
I dialed a number, letting it ring a good five times when “Chad’s Cads how can I help you?”
“God, tell me that isn’t the name of your shop.”
“Joseph? Is that you bro?”
“Yeah, it’s been a while, good to hear from you.”
“Where the hell have you been man!? Terry’s out look–”
“It’s all sorted now. I don’t mean to be callous, I promise I’ll catch you up to speed later. But do you have Rachel’s number?”
“Oh, yeah. Everything good dude?”
“Yeah, she apparently told Terry to have me see her when he found me, so…”
“Oh for sure.”
“So can you send me her number?”
“Oh right, yeah. Good luck bro, come by when you have time. I wanna see how strong you are.”
“Sounds good Chad.” I hung up, smiling. A minute or so later, I had her number.
“Joseph?” Her voice was smooth.
“Hey Rachel I…”
“Chad messaged me.”
“Gotcha, Terry said you wanted to see me?”
“Yes, there’s a lot you need to know biologically if you want to pass for human.”
I sighed, rubbing my side, “Where should I meet you?”
“I’ll send you the location, Sepratine will be here too.”
“Oh, yaaaaaay.” She was alright, but she always had a whole bag of chips on her shoulder.
“See you soon. Oh, and did you happen to feel an aching in your right side at any point?”
“More than you know.”
“How frequently?”“Well, I was starved for a few days at one point, aside from that though I’d say a couple times a week if not more?”
“...Was that the entire time you were gone?”
“Not entirely sure, the first month or so is still kind of hazy, but since I was moved into town yeah.”
“...Okay, just… See you when you arrive.”
Click “I thought Doc was supposed to be the cryptic one of the bunch,” I smirked, a tear forming in my eye. “Goddamnit.” I wiped it, clicking the address she’d sent me, and heading on my way. Only after I picked up some gas station food.
-----------------------------------
“Oh my.”
“It’s me.” I did jazz hands, wearing a faux smile.
“Your soul is much… larger than I anticipated. Come inside, I’m sure you’re hungry.”
A whiff of cedar and sweetgrass slapped me in the face, “Wow, that’s… pungent.”
“Apologies, my sense of smell isn’t very strong, and Sepratine is….”She took a sharp intake of breath, closing the door behind me.
Looking around, the house seemed pretty standard, aside from the greenhouse in the living room, “So uh, what’s this you got goin here?”
“Take your shoes off please,” She did the same, “Creating chemicals from what’s in the air is taxing, it’s more convenient to just have the plants you need on hand.” She headed toward a door down the hall, “My equipment is downstairs.” She opened the door and I followed.
The air was a solid 80 or so, with humidity so thick it was like snorkeling, pollen so strong it activated allergies I hadn’t had since I was five. “Quite the quaint home you have here.”
“Oh right, sorry again.”
“No, you’re good, I’m just gonna need a few boxes of tissues is all.”
“Oh Jo–Joseph, my gods, you’re… wow. Different is a word, what happened to your soul?” Sepratine was turned to us, standing in front of a table with apparently every plant unknown to man of it.
“That’s kinda why I’m here.”
“Oh right, don’t mind me, just running a few experiments, Rachel has the perfect climate down here for a few plants.”
“Alright Joseph, hop on the bed.” Rachel stood in front of a wooden table, I couldn’t help but notice vials and jars stacked neatly on a counter that circled half the room, as well as a set of tables that held assorted plants with different lights hovering over them.
I sat on the table, “You need me to turn my head and cough?”
“No, first I need you to eat. It’ll be easier if you’re digesting food.”
She headed to a small closed-off area, then came back, plate in hand. Mostly just leafy greens. Maybe some kind of bean too?
“Go ahead, this should pass through you at just the right speed for me to catch it.” She turned, heading to another room, “Oh right, when you’re done I’ll need you to take off your shirt and lie down.” Then she headed through a door.
A few minutes passed and I finished the salad. Putting my plate on an open section of a counter and throwing my shirt to the side, I laid down, “Sepratine, you know anything about Vampirism?”
“Only rumors, they’re rare, so you’re the only one I’ve met.”
“Rarer than what you are?”
“Dryads are uncommon for sure. But given my personal experience, I’d say you’re one of a kind.”
“Awwwe, thank you.” I said sarcastically, “But is that all? They’re rare?”
“You’re here for Rachel because they’re rare. She’s met something like five, even got to do a lab experiment on one of them, saw how their stem reacted to stimulus. She’s the closest thing to an expert I can think of.”
Rachel made her entrance with the smack of the door on the wall, “Alright, don’t worry Joseph, I’m not going to cut you open today, I just want to see how large your stem has gotten. Based on your soul, you might be around half to ¾ vampire. But the only way to tell for sure is to see the size of your stem.”
“I’ve been meaning to ask, but everyone else I’ve met who knows about it has been a psychopath. What’s a stem?”
“Oh, kind of like a parasite is my current understanding.” She picked up a large metal plate, pressed it against my stomach, and used a metal rod to probe my right side.
“Come again?”
“Well… it’s more like a symbiotic relationship? Consider it another organ, only it’s wrapped around a portion of your large intestine. A full vampire has them fused, and it becomes an addition. But a partial, you can still see where they are two entities.”
“So you can cure me?”
She scoffed, “No.” Putting the plate and rod away, she pulled out a roundish object and squeezed some kind of gel onto the end before rubbing it against my right side. “If it’s removed, both entities die. You’re a symbiote now, you each rely on each other. In return for giving it nutrients, it gives you cells that allow you to regenerate anything short of half or more of it. They’re akin to stem cells, but enhanced. It extracts your DNA and replicates what it needs to to keep you alive for as long as possible. That’s the working theory I currently have anyway.”
“So I have a parasite in me?”
“A symbiote, you two aid each other, there are only benefits for each of you. Not to mention the enhanced soul… which I’m not entirely sure what causes that yet. Though the more vampirized you are, the more spiritual power a vampire seems to have. Considering that’s how it’s been with the last five, it’s only an assumption. But if that is the case, I am curious about the correlation.” She put the device down, handing me a towel, “Now, if you’ll excuse me, I need to see the images I got back. Time to see how far along you are.”
Patting me on the stomach, she walked out of sight, and I wiped my side down. Sitting up, I hopped off the table, picked up my shirt, throwing it back on. Then, it was dark.
---------------------------
My eyes shot open, I was upright on the hardwood table, eyes darting around for the threat.
“Relaaaax, you’re fine.” Rachel and Sepratine stood beside me, and I loosened up, wired as hell.
Standing, I regained my balance, “Which one of you knocked me out?”
“Neither.” Rachel said, offended, “You fainted, you had several nutrient deficiencies, and call me crazy, but I don’t think you were willing to hear what I had to say.”
I mulled it over, a burst of panic surging when I thought about the thing inside me. But I managed to push it back into its little jar. Which I promptly placed back on the shelf with the rest of my emotions. “I’m fine.”
“Yes, now. But I have to be honest with you, the ultrasound came back more worrying than I expected. You’re only about ¼ so far. Your soul is far larger than any of my calculations suggested.”
“Right on.”
“Joseph, you have far more potential than I expected. While I advise safety, occasionally fasting may build up your soul to around as strong as Smudge.”
“Cool beans.”
“The issue is that you have an extremely high-functioning stem. You’ll need extremely nutrient-dense foods with extremely specific nutrients to maintain yourself as you are, let alone grow stronger. I’ll have what you need, but if you don’t want to go on a killing spree every few days, you’ll need an extremely strict diet.”
“How much is that gonna run me?”
She sighed, rubbing her eyes, “Quite frankly, I’ll charge you what it costs me. I don’t want you going on a murder frenzy. You’re my friend, but that’d also guarantee your death. As not only an alchemist, but a scientist, I can’t allow that. I’ll charge you at the end of each month. How does that sound?”
“Cool, do you have an estimate?”
“Joseph I feel you are hearing me but not listening.”
“No, I’ve got it.”
“This will be in the ballpark of 1500 dollars a month, and that’s alongside normal meals. Which should help you not only maintain but build up. The pain will feel like you’re being digested if you get to the point of dangerous starvation. Now, repeat everything I just said back to you.”
When I did from start to finish, she rubbed her face, “Alright, you can pick up your supply weekly from here. For now, though, I have something that should hold you over until next Friday, when I’ll have the actual supplies.”
She helped load a few milk crates into my overstuffed car, and when I went to start my car, she gestured for me to roll the window down. “Yes?”
“There are places you can get help you know?”
“I think I can handle the vampirism thing.”
“Joseph…” She stared at me, tugging at my bucket of guilt, tipping it ever so slightly.
“I’ll be fine. Thank you Rachel.” I flicked the button up and the window went with it as I pulled out of her driveway in the suburbs of West Salem.
-----------------------------
“Joseph?” The familiar guy behind a desk just across from me stared, eye agape.
“D-Detective? What uh… what happened to your erm… you?”
“Long story. What happened to you?”
“Long story.”
He chuckled, “Guess you were in that town for a while. What are you doing here?”
I held up the contract, “I’ve got a debt I needa pay.”

Author’s Note:
Hey guys, 4Shot speaking. Holy FUCK guys. This has been my longest-running series, it’s been 3.5 years in the making. Hell, it was the series that got me into this whole writing shebang. It feels weird to be saying goodbye to Joseph, given this series has been with me since the start. I’ve seen my ups alongside this story, and those who read or listened to the poker scene in my detective series will know I’ve had my downs.
Though, it’s not exactly the end. I have one final series I’ll be writing to wrap everything up. Those who have followed my first three may notice a trend. And yes, the final series will be a continuation of Jones’ tale. It’s been a long time coming, and I hope to complete it before february, which is when I’ll be taking an extended hiatus. I’ll be back, but I have some things I want to do first. This entire unraveling story will have been a part of my life for over 4 years by then, something like that is hard to just let go, and I have some life I wanna experience. So I may be gone for around 6 months to a year when I’ve finished the Detective’s story.
I’m glad so many of you have enjoyed my stories. I honestly never expected to go anywhere with any of this, thought I’d give this series up around part 3, and writing would just be another dead hobby of mine. But here we are. Honestly, there are a lot of people to thank, but the main people are my boy TeeStache who got me into writing, NaturesTemper who picked up my terrible rough draft of this series, and Viidith who first found my detective series and asked to narrate it, and proceeded to narrate my Lighthouse series.
It’s been a crazy ride out there, and I only intend to make it crazier in the future. Thanks again guys, cheers.

2023.06.07 07:01 Storms_Wrath The Human Artificial Hivemind Part 381: Grand Defense Proposal
First Previous Wiki "It is quite obvious that we need to reconcile the first point," Hive Empress Ashnav'viinir said. Her hologram moved into the central podium, stepping up and around it towards a microphone she didn't actually need. And her script was scrolling on the inside of the virtual reality helmet she was wearing.
"If this partnership is going to succeed, that will require the ability for members to choose which wars they want to enter, as well as whether they wish for others to enter theirs. I think it is a sensible request, as I am sure that everyone gathered here can attest."
She looked over the smattering of representatives from the Alliance in particular, trying her best to be sympathetic. Since the Alliance was somewhere between a federation and a full nation, it had led to there being many representatives instead of one. Most of them, surprisingly enough, was from the Guulin Congressional Republic and the High Researchers' Council. Even some wanderers were present, though their numbers were the absolute smallest.
She'd studied the situation there, with how fractured their species was. It would be interesting to see how the Alliance handled that, long-term and short-term. She got the feeling that the most words from the Alliance would come from the human representatives, of which there was no small number.
"The Sennes Hive Union agrees with the sentiment," a Truth Speaker said, while Kawtyahtnakal and Eyahtni simply signaled their assent.
A Knower stood after the Alliance's officials sent messages among themselves.
"We agree. There is to be no central authority to this proposed organization."
Ashnav'viinir bent her antennae forward, rubbing them against the inside of her helmet to relieve an itch. The others looked at her, and she decided to add some of her points.
"I think there should also be set requirements on the conditions of a war. It would not make sense for a nation to call a vote if one planet's governor sent a few ships to raid another."
"It is likely the task of subsequent negotiations to consider such," Eyahtni replied. "I think that this conference's purpose should be based on a series of points to tackle. First is whether we are to establish this treaty organization at all. Second is how to maintain it over the vast stellar distances involved in our three nations. The third is to fortify it against manipulation from smaller parties within prospective states, such as overzealous nobles or disgruntled diplomatic officials.
Fourth is establishing lines of communication that are official and constantly available between military, intelligence, and governmental authorities. The fifth is to discuss provisions for additional alterations later down the line, to be agreed upon by all members. And the sixth would likely be what actually constitutes an attack upon a nation that is a signatory to the treaty to form this organization.
Furthermore, perhaps not as actual points within the treaty itself, but within the Alliance, is how to treat it as an entity. Functionally, the Alliance is a federation of hundreds of nations, from the ship-states of the wanderers to the massive empires of the Acuarfar. The Alliance constantly straddles the border of true nationality, yet its own nations themselves are sovereign in terms of their rulership, treaty obligations, commercial pacts, research agreements, and otherwise. Conversely, wider agreements made by the Alliance also exist, ties that so far have not been broken by either group.
While I am sure that there are reasons for the many nations in the Alliance to continue to have their own sovereignty, there is little appetite within the Sennes Hive Union to negotiate over 200 individual treaties, navigating the potentially millions of other combinations of changes and shifting coalitions within their own groups. It is not today that the answer to the question of the Alliance's nationhood must be decided, but it must be at some point. The only functional way for such a treaty like this to be realistic for the Hive Union, at least, is for the Alliance to either become a single national entity or to be treated as such within this treaty."
"The Vinarii Empire agrees with Regulator Eyahtni's sentiment. While we are not necessarily requesting that the nations of the Alliance give up their sovereignty, there must be a degree of reasonability here. If a small island nation on Earth were to declare themselves a part of the treaty and possess no ships to actually send aid, all they would do is to add unnecessary bureaucracy to this treaty's usability."
Calanii continued speaking.
"And realistically, for the Alliance to provide assistance to us and us to it on a reasonable time frame would require specialized complexes within deep space, fully staffed, supplied, and defended. Because for the Hive Union and the Vinarii Empire, we are both too close to our system capacity for the Sprilnav to let us occupy a single new one. And it must also be asked what your rules of war shall allow. Realistically, most of our forces operate under much looser rules of war than yours do, mostly out of necessity.
When a single weapon is a difference between a planet becoming a molten sea or a continual production facility for an enemy, with or without civilians or massive losses of life, the question must be asked. We are not asking to be given free rein to kill humans as we please or the associated species of the Alliance. But even within your own various nations, your agreements on rules of war vary. Geneva Conventions, Dawn Accords, Devourer Codes, and so on. Each varies on the treatment of prisoners of war, captured cities, captured planets and space stations, and war doctrine.
For example, the Geneva Conventions prohibit us from filling an enemy ship with gases that are poisonous and unable to be scrubbed by atmospheric filters. And the Dawn Accords prohibit the use of any and all resonance weaponry, including items such as Hypershock Emitters, which are items used to quickly incapacitate unprotected enemies that have carapaces. Expecting us to abide by your rules of war and be tried in your courts for disobeying them would be disagreeable if we were the ones calling you to aid. At least for the Vinarii Empire, I am willing to have my soldiers operate by your rules of war only for disputes within the Alliance's territory or claimed nations' territory. But my forces would still reserve the right to withdraw themselves from courts and the like."
Ashnav'viinir saw some of the officials among the Alliance nod their heads in agreement while others seemed less happy about the proclamation. She didn't know the names of all the countries that had attended here today, but there were a lot of them. She wondered if the humans would do some sort of coalition agreement, where they might have one nation provide a ship, and the smaller ones provide soldiers and weapons. That didn't seem very useful since the actual most powerful nations on their planet were generally the most populated as well.
She watched them argue amongst themselves about the proposal. It seemed that there weren't a lot of people on one of the sides, and most seemed neutral. She also noticed a lot of them were calling other people, likely national leaders. Eventually, one human came forward.
"For the purposes of drafting the agreement itself, assume that the Alliance is a single national entity. However, this may be subject to change prior to the signing of the full agreement."
Ashnav'viinir understood that. She could somewhat see the sheer amount of human nations that would make such a thing difficult. And she noticed that they did not ask to link the Sol Alliance, as mentioned for the actually proposed organization, to the general entity as it existed between the various worlds and star systems represented here. Simply put, the Alliance actually being referred to would be the nations that agreed to be part of the organization, not necessarily all nations in the actual Sol Alliance.
Calanii stood, turning to face the humans with a neutral expression. "That is workable. Adding a provision to this would be necessary, allowing nations to join and leave this proposed arrangement as it suited them, but not so often as to be problematic. For this, I propose a period of three Vinarii standard years between the acceptance of an application to the treaty organization and the ability to leave the organization again. For a nation that has left the organization, from the moment of their removal, another three standard year period before they can resubmit an application. Finally, a submitted application can be withdrawn at any time before full acceptance into the organization.
Possible other actions, such as vetoes and deferrals, should also be subject to continued debate within future meetings. But I would say this now. If there were to be a veto power, it would be best for each large single interstellar polity, such as the Alliance, Vinarii Empire, or Hive Union to get one veto vote. The reason for this is both a stopgap measure and that of realism. The Alliance consists of hundreds of nations, and it is simply not fair for them all to get a single veto vote within this organization because it would become far too unbalanced. While there are massive population and territorial differences that would likely take hundreds of years to balance out between our peoples, an agreement that judges each of us on equal footing is the most realistic for long term success and possible future expansion, should it become necessary."
One of the humans she recognized stood.
"That is an acceptable agreement, though I would like to propose that the Alliance be allowed to decide the use of its veto through internal votes by nations or otherwise. Again, this is a massive political and bureaucratic undertaking, so we would appreciate such an ability if your two nations would be willing to grant it." Juan Pedros wasn't as young looking as she remembered. But Ashnav'viinir remembered that humans did have negative reactions to stress over long-term periods.
Though it was odd that rulers of thousands of interstellar systems were effectively negotiating with a few advisors and representatives at a star system level or lesser. Technically, even assuming Humanity was the sole ruler of the Sol system, they were divided into three main sections, meaning that there wasn't a single person who controlled the system. The decentralized nature of the Alliance would have to change in the far future, and she knew that both the Vinarii Empire and the Sennes Hive Union would push for it in the coming years.
"We have no problems with your suggestion," Kawtyahtnakal replied.
"Nor do we," Calanii added.
"I am also concerned about the standpoints of individuals within the Alliance," an advisor from the Hive Union stated. "The Alliance derives a great deal of its economic and military power from entities that do not answer to its regional governments, and that are not national entities themselves. Individuals like this, in particular artificial intelligences such as Phoebe and Edu'frec, represent points of concern within our legal firms. There have been some who worry that forming agreements with these aforementioned entities might create a negative response from the Sprilnav.
And for some entities such as Brey and Gaia, their abilities are incredibly valuable but are not possible to regulate. There is nothing to stop Brey from deciding that she doesn't want to do what the Alliance needs her to do in the event of an operation that she does not agree with. A method of preventing these situations from doing catastrophic damage to any potential aid operations or joint operations is likely needed before this organization can be fully ratified."
Ashnav'viinir looked at Kawtyahtnakal to see if he agreed. And it seemed that he did.
"Well, there are several solutions to this," the UN Security Secretary said.
"For one, this possibility is known to us. We have transport ships of sufficient number to transport our supply lines and military communications equipment to where they are required."
"Is it well maintained?"
"Yes. Though it is not the cheapest to do, the lines are maintained by automated androids and both virtual and real workers that check the equipment and conduct inspections."
"This brings to mind another concern. In order for this agreement to function long-term, it would likely require the actual consent of Brey, Phoebe, Edu'frec, and Gaia, as well as the Human Hivemind."
"That has been obtained already. Each of them have already anticipated this question to come up, and have given their complete agreement to aid the Alliance and its constituent militaries in achieving goals, honoring agreements, and ensuring the continued stability of its allies, if requested to."
"That is good to hear. In that case, are we set to begin the actual drafting of the agreement?"
"Yes. However, I have important information that I am willing to share with you all as a gesture of goodwill,"
Kawtyahtnakal said. "I am sure that you all have been getting reports of Sprilnav mind-control devices present within your population. My nation has developed a method of detection that should be prudent to your concerns. It is a scanner developed using technology that is classified. However, tests have shown it is capable of providing details about Sprilnav implants within subject populations using psychic energy frequency technology.
The limits are as follows: Heavy shields prevent the scanner from achieving full efficiency and can either muffle or block entirely any signals that are going to be used for it. I would also warn you that the device would build up a very slight psychic charge on all surfaces within a wide radius. Exact specifications will be delivered to you upon request. Note that this device would need to be leased from the Sennes Hive Union and that prices would be dictated in deals."
"Why are you waiting until now to reveal such a device?" Calanii asked.
"Because this location is the safest that we have in terms of any listeners. This meeting is secured by not one, but two AIs, meaning that it is the single most secure meeting in the history of this galaxy, at least in terms of digital means. And it is also because the device is dangerous. Were it to overload, it could seriously injure people within its radius."
"Then it seems that it is not necessary for us to use," the Hive Emperor replied. "I also would assume that the Sprilnav would be aware of it, able to counter it, and able to ensure that devices like this either miss or incorrectly identify such implants."
Ashav'viinir agreed. Recently, the Vinarii Empire had located a cache of Sprilnav data in deep space. Even their farming equipment was incredibly advanced, and their swords were actually able to cut through all but the absolute toughest shields and armor that the Vinarii Empire had made. And those were regular Sprilnav swords, not those of the Elders.
"We would like to thank the Sennes Hive Union for offering this, but would like to decline this offer at this time," Juan Pedros said.
"The solution to the Sprilnav problem will likely require immense effort on all our behalves, and it would also require more advanced technology than what we have. The Alliance is also willing to provide information that would be a gesture of friendship and goodwill to all parties involved in this negotiation." He paused, taking a real-life breath before talking again.
"We now know the reason for why the Elders and Sprilnav are so tough. Physics, at least as it is understood, does not allow for Elders to be as impact and heat-resistant as they are. The reason for their actual damage resistance is because they have protectors, which provide conceptual protection to them, making it so that every attack on an Elder is less 'real,' meaning that energy transfers of any and all kinds that are perceived as negative by some unknown factor do not fully reach them. The law of equal and opposite reactions does not fully affect them either. The protection seems to be uniform, so that it allows for internal chemistry to work within their bodies."
Ashav'viinir scratched her mandibles. "Do you know the source of this protection?"
"We are aware of one of these beings. They are called Progenitors. Their estimated power means that direct assassination is estimated to be impossible."
"How do we know that you are telling the truth?" a Cawlarian advisor replied. "Such a thought has been theorized, but there is no definitive proof."
"The proof I can offer you is that one of them is named Nova. This Progenitor does not emit any psychic energy at all. And yet, he has been observed to have a persuasion effect upon Sprilnav who are near him. And he has the capability to teleport, control energy, and likely much more. Individuals like these are likely the pinnacle of Sprilnav civilization. Figuring out how to sever this conceptual protection would allow us to fight the Sprilnav on equal footing. It would also likely allow us to better understand their technology."
"And how sure are you of this?"
"I am quite sure. There is more information to tell you all, information that may concern you, Nest Overlord, in particular," Juan said, looking at Kawtyahtnakal.
"Some of what I am about to tell you all is how his revival was possible. It is also why I believe it is necessary for this treaty organization to be formed. Note that any further or highly classified information has been removed. Sharing this information will only be considered and possibly revealed to the relevant officials of your two nations upon request, with the necessary restrictions to the form of viewing in place."

Luke took a look at the model of the area. It was a large subterranean complex with only a few entrances. One of the commanders in charge of his unit was talking with their Cawlarian counterpart.
"I think I have a solution to your problem with the tunnel entrances."
"Drilling is quite noisy and loud," the Cawlarian replied. "Even the 'quiet' versions would get picked up by seismic scanners."
"Well, we're not going to use a drill. There's a species called the Junyli on one of our planets. Some of them have joined the Alliance in an official capacity, and are more than willing to help us on this venture."
"How fast can they dig, and how much damage can they take?"
"Well, the average Junyli can dig about 10 meters a second, pushing the stone out of the way smoothly. From what we can tell is happening, the psychic energy innate to them compacts around their skin and helps to make the stone more malleable, allowing it to be compressable far more easily than it should be. With a few of them in our group, we can decide where to enter from, including from the top down, dropping our soldiers into their fortifications. Or we could go from the bottom up, but that's much more likely to mess with fortifications and get us noticed. What's your call, Battle Planner Sacratta?"
Arrows had appeared when he'd pointed to placed on the hologram, showcasing possible entrance points. The other Luna soldiers were standing in a group on one side of the hologram, with the Earth soldiers on the other. They were separate for this mission since they'd trained much better in their own split groups. Luke knew Leia's mind by heart and soul. The same couldn't be said for any given Earth soldier or even Luna soldiers outside his general unit.
"It is best for the Cawlarian operatives to enter from the sky, assuming that they can fly," Commander Dexter said. "If their gear does not allow them to, then we will remain on the ground. Thrust plumes would be too visible, and the off chance of anti-aircraft fire poses a massive risk to any in the sky."
"We have a handle on that," Sacratta said. He pointed a claw at about a quarter-high section of the diagram. "Everythign above this, we can enter. It would likely be best to have the Junyli dig close enough to allow breaching of the walls, without actually going through. That way, a synchronised attack is easier even if we don't have a Junyli to accompany each one."
"What about the big one?" A separate Cawlarian asked. "The Luminary?"
"If he wishes to participate, there will be no hiding him. Assuming we can even make an area large enough to hold him, making that portal will light up on any psychic energy scanner."
"It is better to have smaller tunnel entrances for this," Sacratta added. "We're mostly going to be sending in infantry and support vehicles to clear the area. Vehicles will accompany them for additional protection and shielding, but in this case, people are the tip of the spear."
"I do warn you that without a good read on the capabilities of your own soldiers, we will not be able to coordinate to maximum effectiveness," Commander Dexter warned. "I clearly and solidly understand the need for secrecy. I'm just letting you know that the possibility is there if something gets screwed up later."
"Yes. We also have stores of gas available, though it will likely dissipate before being able to reach the majority of the underground city. We can use it to knock out some of the guards, though. The reason I bring this up is because deploying it is likely best done through tunnels from above, there the canisters can be dropped down into the fortified bunkers which likely house the most critical data."
"It is likely that some buildings that are not fortified will serve as bases as well. They might have extensive underground tunnels for either escape purposes or moving contraband and people."
Luke continued to listen to their deliberations during the remainder of the period. Eventually, they were allowed to retire to their respective rooms. He and Leia would meet tomorrow to discuss plans of their own and potential strategies for fighting the enemy. He did not have confidence in flight as any sort of quick travel method. Cawlarians being a winged species would mean they had spatial awareness much stronger than base humans.
Back when they were fighting the Wisselen, there was little concern among the enemy for aerial maneuvers. Even back when they had assaulted the last holdout on Earth, they hadn't had very much direct eyesight on any Wisselen air defenses.
As for his own activities, they entirely involved sleeping. Luke had the intention of reaching the identified objectives when the actual operation was carried out. And sleep would help his enhanced body to recover its lost energy, in addition to the nutrient paste tubes he'd latch to his injectors.
Really, he had concerns about the Cawlarians. Right now, they didn't seem to have their act together. He had barely seen any of their super soldiers, and those soldiers hadn't moved like the other Cawlarian soldiers he'd seen.
They did likely have some reinforcements, but unless they could go in and actually get serious when it mattered, then it might be on him and the other Alliance soldiers to ensure victory. With mind control, things could get very interesting. For one, it was possible to turn off pain receptors. So ensuring that every enemy combatant was dead would be very necessary for any successful operation.
Luke would be putting a bullet in the head of the people who he was fighting if his orders were to do so. It was what he was designed for, and he would carry that task out to his fullest ability. And beyond that, if needed. That was all the Alliance and Luna asked of him, and it was what he and Leia would deliver.

| I’ve been following Greer for awhile. He is having another disclosure conference this week on the free energy issue, the corruption in the government, and the UFO tech AND has a plan of action to solve it. On top of this, he plans on dropping a huge cache of data with all the names of people involved in this deep state shit at least in regards to the Energy Mafia and their government assets. I think at the very least to congress, but he mentioned putting it on a block chain to keep it secure so he means for it to be public Since he announced this at the beginning of the year, I’ve seen AI, FBI bs, CBDC bs, SEC bs, and all kinds of chess moves from the elites really getting pushed hard on all sides. The recent General that Disclosed about Non-Human Tech is either working with Greer to disclose everything, or is a psy-op to discredit the information that should be coming out soon. Anyway, my point is, keep in mind that there are chess moves that are punching back at this corrupt group as we speak. They’re getting sloppy because they’re are getting checkmated, not from hubris. If they were tight, we wouldn’t be hearing so much about them. The more bad things look from the mainstream side, the more they are actually running. Try to keep in mind that: 1. all the peaceful answers to almost all the problems we have are already here, just being hidden by those who want to keep their leverage through having us believe in scarcity 2. If they try to twist the UFO thing on us into war drums (or any Fearful thing), it’s probably a lie because the Military-Industrial need us afraid to stand up on our own to exist. We are close to freedom and most people never even realized they were slaves. Give people grace in the coming years. It is traumatizing to realize that you’ve slaved away for years to serve such a horrendous industry of corruption, murder, and horrors beyond our comprehension. We are gonna need to forgive each other as people wake up from all the lies. I linked the most recent interview from Greer so far but heads up the interviewer is a little over the top. I think that’s his thing. submitted by stop-grass-genocide to conspiracy_commons [link] [comments] |
