2023.03.21 21:24 Opossum4444 Interviewer said remote, TO and job posting do not
Interviewed for a DOE position but the announcement number was not included in the interview request. I accepted the request and interviewed, during which the interviewer stated it was a remote position. We did briefly discuss one of their office sites that I could commute to occasionally. I had applied for several DOE positions with the same position title in the previous months, one of which was remote and 2 others weren't, so I figured this interview must've been for the remote one.
I received a call extending a tentative offer but the position was stationed at the previously mentioned office site, no mention of remote. I inquired about this and HR said they would get back to me. We all know how that usually goes. It's been 3 business days with no update, which I know is a short period of time but I'm on a time crunch due to other obligations and offers I need to respond to, so I'm antsy.
The announcement number given in TO is for a position that is not remote.
Basically, my question is what are the odds that someone messed up and the position isn't actually remote? Is remote something that can be negotiated for or am I SOL?
It sucks because its GS-9 (the highest I'm qualified for) and a ladder position, but GS-9 salary is not going to cut it in the office location or even the nearest city people commute from (Pacific Northwest level rental and housing prices but with 1/10th the amount of inventory--there's literally <15 places I would be able to afford to rent and they're all tiny studios that would be an hour from the office).

Are there any VPR fans in San Diego who would be down for a get together to watch the reunion (possibly part 1)? I feel like we will all need community support during these trying times 😂
A friend and I are thinking of getting a space at a bar or restaurant so that we can all process together! Plus, we’d love to have more Bravo friends IRL!

2023.03.21 21:22 AvanceTrials New Clinical Trial for Former Dupixent Patients
Hi everyone,
I recently posted this but wanted to reshare in case anyone missed the original post. There is a new clinical study enrolling now for a new treatment called Lebrikizumab for patients formerly on Dupixent. You could have ceased Dupixent due to lack of efficacy, cost, and/or adverse reactions. Important differences between Dupilumab (Dupixent) and Lebrikizumab include receptor vs cytokine targets, respectively, and known strong binding affinity and lack of effect on IL-4 signaling with Lebrikizumab. This study is being conducted in Southern California. If you're in the Los Angeles, San Diego, or Inland Empire areas and you're interested in this study, please comment below or DM us!

2023.03.21 21:14 Interesting-Bat3993 HOW To WAtch "65" OnLine For FREe Streaming?
Sony Pictures! Here are options for downloading or watching 65 streaming the full movie online for free on 123movies & Reddit, including where to watch the anticipated science fiction movie at home. 65 (2023) available to stream? Is watching 65 on Disney Plus, HBO Max, Netflix or Amazon Prime? Yes, we have found an authentic streaming option/service.
Watch Now👉 65 Full Movie Online Free Watch Now👉 65 Full Movie Online Free In a world with social media at our fingertips, it often seems as if marketing a film is easier than ever. This, of course, has its benefits for both production companies and audiences, with studios having better marketing success with their films and audiences having greater knowledge and therefore choice when it comes to their next viewing experience. Many may argue that this is largely a benefit to the film community, but that debate is for another day. What this does mean however is that when a film with a great cast, crew, and premise comes along and for some unknown reason, chooses to stay mysterious, the attention of many is instantly caught. There are many indie flicks or art-house experiments that go under the radar but, with a film as large as 65, it comes as quite a shock.
65 has been spoken about for years now, with the film being announced back in 2020 and Adam Driver being cast in the movie shortly after the announcement. This gave ample time in this marketing-driven climate for a whole lot of details about the film to emerge. Alas, there have been mere whispers and surface details announced and, to many, it has been long enough now that we must assume this is a marketing tactic. It took until December 2022 for fans to finally get a trailer so with that in mind, and with intrigue rife, here is everything we do know about 65... so far.
When Is the Release Date of 65?
For some reason, the release date of the film has changed several times during its production and post-production process, with many sources often giving conflicting information. In May 2020, it was announced the film would release on May 13, 2022, however, other reports suggested a date in April. More recently, the date was pushed back considerably to March 10, 2023. But that wasn't the end of it and the 65 was delayed by another week and then brought back to the original date. If the current schedule holds, eager fans will be able to catch 65 in theaters on March 10, 2023.
Is 65 streaming or in Theater?
"65" is not streaming for sure yet. Besides this, given the lack of information available on the movie, we are unaware of any streaming websites where the movie might be available. Let alone the date, when will it be? All we know about the film is a mysterious astronaut on a mysterious planet, which has led to mysterious marketing for what seems to be a mysterious film.
Where to watch 65 Online Free:
As of now, the only way to watch 65 is to head to a theater when it releases on Friday, March 3. You can find a local showing on Fandango. Otherwise, you’ll just have to wait for it to become available to rent or buy on digital platforms like Vudu, Peacock, Apple and YouTube, or become available to stream on Amazon Prime Video.
Following its release in theaters, the film will be available to stream on Prime Video. Expect the movie to hit the streamer 45 days after its theatrical run, which should be sometime in April. it's most likely that Prime Video will be the main platform that will stream 65.
Is 65 Streaming on Netflix?
65 won't probably be available on Netflix because Paramount Plus should be the only streaming service to provide it. That would be a very bizarre move on the part of Paramount Pictures and Spyglass Media Group to permit the horror film to stream elsewhere.
Is 65 streaming on HBO Max?
65 is expected to stream on HBO Max at some point after its theatrical run. No official streaming release date for the movie has yet been given, but as it comes from Warner Bros., it will likely arrive on the platform after its cinematic debut barring some unprecedented events or a unique deal.
Is 65 streaming on Prime Video?
After completing its huge $8.5 billion acquisition of MGM, the movie studio behind 65, in March 2022, Amazon Studios will undoubtedly be making the film available to stream on their Prime Video platform.
The first two Creed movies are available to watch on the streaming service, so it is just a matter of time before 65 also makes an appearance. No official date has yet been set, but it will likely take a couple of months from the film’s theatrical release before it is available for streaming.
Is 65 Available On Hulu?
Viewers are saying that they want to view the new movie 65 on Hulu. Unfortunately, this is not possible since Hulu currently does not offer any of the free episodes of this series streaming at this time. It will be exclusive to the MTV channel, which you get by subscribing to cable or satellite TV services. You will not be able to watch it on Hulu or any other free streaming service. fedsg

2023.03.21 21:04 Korean_Anon (CA, San Diego) Received parking ticket for parking next to pedestrian walkway.
I recently got a ticket for parking and partially blocking a pedestrian walkway, however, all the other corners on the sidewalk are demarcated with red paint to notify drivers not to park there, but the pedestrian walkway that I parked at had no demarcation indicating that you cannot park there (No street signs as well). I am not a US resident so I am not familiar with laws here but it seems that if you have a portion of the street that you cannot park on, it is usually marked with yellow, white, blue, or red paint. Is there a chance of fighting this or should I just pay the ticket?

2023.03.21 20:51 AdLarge6520 Is there even a point of moving to a large city with a median income?
I got a job in January doing customer support at a software company in a medium sized city in Norcal. It pays decent for the area (65k) but they do everything they can to make the job as soul-crushing as possible and this city is total ass, it has horrible weather, everyone is anti-social and there's nothing here besides a dozen malls and shitty bars full of fent addicts.
I've been wanting to move somewhere nice in Socal like San Diego for a while and I sent hundreds of apps that all got rejected last year after I graduated college. I'm hoping that I can get hired somewhere in 6 months to a year with my new experience but when I look at the numbers it doesn't even seem feasible without room mates, which are out of the question for me because I don't know anyone there. It all honestly feels hopeless and the thought of having to stay here more than a year makes me want to an hero on livestream lol

2023.03.21 20:47 sopynO Renting a venue/reserving a bar for a small group event in San Jose/Surrounding Areas
Hello,
I apologize if this isn't the right place to post about this. My best friend recently got married last month and a lot of our friend group couldn't make the ceremony, so a few of us are planning to throw a party in their honor next month in the San Jose area.
I'm looking for a venue or bar reservation where we can have 25-30 people hangout and drink. I have checked out peerspace but most of the places on there close by 9/10PM and we are looking for a venue that's open later till 1 or 2AM. And Airbnb is also ruled out due to the large group size and rules relating to parties.
Does anyone have recommendations or where I should be looking? Either a venue that lets us bring our own alcohol that's open till 1-2am, or reserving a section of a bar for the large group. We are mainly considering south bay (San Jose, Santa Clara, Palo Alto, etc).
Thank you for your recommendations!

2023.03.21 20:45 Itchy-Preparation-76 Should I move to Chicago?
Hi everyone,
I’m thinking of moving to a new city soon. I moved to Utah about two years ago and it’s nice but it’s getting a little bit too boring for me. I want to go out and explore some other places. I work for a great company and so I want to stay at the current company I am at now. My company has locations throughout the country so it should not be a problem moving through my company’s ranks.
I want to move to a new city and explore what else there is in this country. A couple of the cities I’m thinking of including moving to are: Los Angeles, San Diego, Chicago, NYC, or Washington DC. The salary I would receive at all of the locations is 65k + variable compensation. It would total about $75k a year all things considered.
My goal is the following:
I would like to contribute at least $500 a month to my Roth IRA. I would like to contribute to my 401k. I want to save up so that I can at least take 4 vacations a year (I get around 25 paid vacation days a year). I also want to save for a house and reasonably be able to buy one within the next couple of years. I want to save and invest money for retirement as well. I also would like to go out from time to time.
Of all the places, I think the place that would allow me to actually save up and live comfortably on my salary would be Chicago.
What do you guys think? Which would be the best based on my preferences.

Hi, Reddit friends! I wanted to ask if it is difficult to stop an in-studio membership. I currently have the mini burn flex classes for $100 a month. It's 4 classes a month. I like pvolve but at my location in San Diego there isn't enough time slots for me to make it. Has anyone had difficulty stopping their membership? I had found out it is a 2 month commitment to have the mini burn membership.

2023.03.21 20:25 sandiegosoccer San Diego Wave FC Announces Opening Roster for 2023 Season
2023.03.21 20:25 Steelsoldier77 Week 1 Recap + Power Rankings
Hey all, I'm back this year with your weekly recap and preview posts. Between another kid, finishing grad school and getting promoted at work I'm a lot busier this year than I was last year, so there's a non-zero chance I have to abandon this project at some point, or at least scale it back a bit, but I'll keep it up as long as I can because I like doing it.
In addition, I was planning on doing a season preview series, but I was called up for a month of reserve duty in the army and was unable to get that done. It's also a difficult task because it would require keeping a tight watch on roster moves for the whole league because team rosters aren't finalized until right before the season. So this first edition of my power rankings will kind of serve as a short preview for each team.
But anyways, on to this week's games. As usual, I would love to get other people's opinions about the games and players.
Arizona Rattlers (1-0) @ Quad City Steamwheelers (0-1) 60-53 The opening game of the season didn't disappoint as we saw the perennial powerhouse Rattlers take on last year's championship runners up Steamwheelers in a game that came down to the wire. Both teams traded scores for most of the game until late in the fourth when QC turned it over on downs and Arizona was able to capitalize and go up by two scores, effectively sealing it with a minute left. Both quarterbacks were electric, each throwing for 4 touchdowns and running for another 2 on the ground. Also of note- this was Jarrod Harrington's first game with QC, playing against his former team, catching a td and rushing for another.
Player of the Game: Drew Powell, QB, Arizona
Frisco Fighters (1-0) @ Green Bay Blizzard (0-1) 76-30 This game was actually pretty close for the first quarter, until Frisco scored 39 unanswered points and effectively sealed the game before half, by picking off Green Bay quarterback Jarome Johnson twice in the final minute of the half. Frisco looks like they haven't missed a beat since last year, with TJ Edwards as efficient as ever, not turning over the ball and rushing for 6 touchdowns on the ground. They didn't appear to be missing my favorite running back, Justin Rankin, who left for Bay Area in the off season. Jerminic Smith returned as their number 1 receiver, and defense was able to grab 4 interceptions, returning one for a touchdown. As for Green Bay, their defense looked nothing like the force they were last year. Losing numerous start defensive players, including rookie standout linebacker James Brown probably didn't help. As for offense, last year's starting QB Jack Sheehan left for the NAL, leaving GB scrambling to find a replacement. They started the game off with rookie Jarome Johnson, who is built like Marquise Brown. He had some decent designed QB runs, but was wildly inaccurate throwing the ball, and was eventually benched in favor of fellow rookie Max Meylor, who was also terrible. The only player who really looked like he was even trying was WR Steve Newbold.
Player of the Game: TJ Edwards, QB, Frisco
Power Rankings - Arizona Rattlers (1-0): The Rattlers appear to be set to continue dominating the West. They didn't lose any key players apart from Kyree Woods, but they are stacked at defensive back anyways. They added start defensive lineman Ulric Jones from the 2022 champion NAZ Wranglers. And most importantly, they've still got two-time reigning IFL MVP Drew Powell leading them.
- Frisco Fighters (1-0): Frisco's offense is electric, with so many weapons at their disposal, the most important of which is quarterback TJ Edwards. Last year he and Blake Sims spit snaps fairly evenly throughout the first half of the season, but Edwards proved to be more careful with the ball and is a bit more agile. Honestly, he has a fair chance to win MVP this year is he can repeat last year's performance over an entire season. He specializes in throwing on the run, but also has games where he'll score 5-6 touchdowns on the ground.
- Bay Area Panthers (0-0): Anyone who followed the league last year might do a double take when seeing BA at the 3 spot, but anyone who followed the transaction reports this off season shouldn't be surprised. Their biggest move was probably bringing on Dixie Wooten, a former championship winning head coach, as their offensive coordinator. They then signed and traded for players such as LB Darin Hungerford, RB Justin Rankin, QB Dalton Sneed, WR Carlos Thompson, and more. Look for them to be this year's worst to first team, a la 2022's NAZ Wranglers.
- Quad City Steamwheelers (0-1): Quad City got off to a slow start last year, but was reenergized by the return of EJ Hilliard and were able to make a run for the championship game. This year, they bring back a strong offensive line, and most importantly EJ Hilliard for the entire season. Their core offensive weapons remain the same. Their big question mark this year is the defense, which was slightly below average last year.
- Massachusetts Pirates (0-0): The Pirates' strengths remain the same when compared to last season. Quarterback Alejandro Bennifield is super dependable, but last year missed time due to injury. They have a very deep receiving corps, including one of my favorite players Thomas Owens. They also built upon what was already one of the top defensive backfields by adding former Green Bay cornerback Momodou Mbye, who was one of the top at his position last year. The biggest change for Massachusetts this year is their head coach Rayshaun Kizer leaving to coach the Omaha BEEF of the CIF, but he is replaced by the Pirates' offensive coordinator, Mark Stoute, who has a ton of experience as head coach in the indoor game across numerous leagues.
- Sioux Falls Storm (0-0): Ok ok, I know some of you will call me a homer on this one but hear me out. Sioux Falls has brought back Storm legend and hometown hero Lorenzo Brown, who led the Storm to a championship in 2019. Brown played sparingly in 2021 and not at all in 2022, but if he can return to 2019 form he will elevate a Sioux Falls team that, while losing some key offensive playmakers (Carlos Thompson, Aaron Dilworth, Nate Chavious) gave its defense some much needed additions in All-IFL linebacker James Brown, defensive lineman Kyree Campbell and retaining 2022 IFL sack leader Undraez Lilly.
- Duke City Gladiators (0-0): 2021's passing leader Nate Davis got injured in the Gladiators first game last year, but that hardly had any impact on one of the most electric offenses in the league. They have what is probably the best WR tandem in the league in IFL legend Dello Davis and freak athlete Jared Elmore, in addition to Gregory Dent who scored touchdowns last year in all phases of the game. Now, Nate Davis is back and should lead this team to new heights.
- Vegas Knight Hawks (0-0): Vegas was wildly inconsistent last year, cycling through quarterbacks like marshmallows. But this year Daquan Neal has made the move from Tucson to Vegas and should give them a huge boost. Neal is a former MVP and championship winning QB from his time in Iowa, who also had a tryout with the Colts last year and was signed for a short period of time to the USFL. However, we saw Neal's play decline a bit in the latter half of the season, so it remains to be seen if he can return to form. He's got some good weapons, and I am personally pretty fond of WR KD Cannon. The Knight Hawks also have Kony Ealy on defense, who some may remember from his time with the Carolina Panthers.
- Iowa Barnstormers (0-0): The Barnstormers roster remains largely unchanged from last year, for better or worse. Quarterback DJ Peterson had some really great moments last year, but also some duds. It seems like when he gets just a bit of pressure on him he collapses and forgets how to pass. Maybe he will be a bit cooler in the pocket with a year of experience behind him. The Barnstormers were able to take advantage of a mediocre Eastern Conference last year and snuck into the playoffs, but I can't really see that happening again.
- Tucson Sugar Skulls (0-0): Tuscon is kind of an unknown at the moment. They lost head coach Dixie Wooten and star QB Daquan Neal, but have brought in 2022 offensive rookie of the year Ramone Atkins from Duke City, but questions remain if the new head coach can fix Tucson's god-awful defense from last year.
- Northern Arizona Wranglers (0-0): NAZ were the worst team in the league in 2021, going 1-13, but turned it around in 2022, adding a ton of talent and winning the IFL championship on the back of a fierce defense and solid offense led by Kaleb Barker. Now, he's no longer on the team, and the Wranglers have hemorrhaged key defensive players as well, such as linemen Ulric Jones, defensive player of the year Jaquan Artis, Darin Hungerford and more. The main positive they have going for them is head coach Les Moss, who should be able to keep this team from being the worst in the league.
- San Diego Strike Force (0-0): Are the Strike Force even still a team? Do they exist? You wouldn't know it from their website, which is still promoting highlights of their last win from the 2022 season. It's hard to tell what's going on with this team, but with no real splash signings, it's hard to imagine they've made a big improvement over last year's team.
- Tulsa Oilers (0-0): Tulsa is an expansion team, so we don't have any baseline to go off of. The one thing I can say is that their QB situation is not great, and they will need to decide between Giovanni Sanders, who sucked it up for a couple games for Bismarck last year, and Bobby Froehlich, who was pretty unspectacular for the Rapid City Marshalls in the CIF last year.
- Green Bay Blizzard (0-1): So Green Bay has the unfortunate disadvantage of having already played before writing my week 1 power rankings. I won't go too much into it at the risk of repeating my game recap, but any redeeming features they may have had last year (defense, mostly) were nonexistent this past game, and their QB situation is a nightmare. Good luck.
