The factual writing of the entire Torah text (precise) was performed by Moses in person (precise) and then transmitted to that generation's elders (precise) and the entire Hebrew nation of that time (almost precise). The text of the Torah from that time and till our days has never been changed (barring minor insignificant grammatical errors in some Jewish communities, at least until the advent of the easy travels and Internet).

Does anyone else feel like their day is ruined/incapable of action if they do not eat “clean”? I guess it’s partly having peace by feeling in control. Like everything feels set in order and capable of going right if what I’ve eaten is clean/healthy/right. But if I’ve failed/eaten poorly, I feel like I can no longer get done what I wanted to get done because the day is already ruined. Sorry if this isn’t explained very well. I have an eight month old mini poodle pup and I have been thinking about putting her for adoption. I just felt like I have no time for her anymore because of my other repsonsibilities and my mom has been complaining about her for a while. about her hair, stuff, and now that she has ticks because of the other dog which is my brother’s labrador. my mother has asthma btw. Hey guys, I have a PC I use for rendering and video editing live footage. I ended up frying my old motherboard and had to update my power supply, mother board, CPU, and Ram. Those are all new components in the list below. I’m having issues getting it to output even the bios to any screen. The pc powers up the fans all turn on, and it turns off if I hold the power button. I’ve tried it with my gpu and straight from the motherboard hdmi output. No signal sent on either. I realized after research that my new cpu has issues with this board out of the box,so I learned how to use the “Q-Flash plus” feature to update the bios. Without the cpu and ram installed I followed the steps of that process. Still no signal output. No POST screen. No bios. I’ve tried it with all the components I plan on using and tried it with just with the bare minimum of the ram and cpu. The hdmi cable I used works for other laptops and my Xbox so I know the cable is good. Also it should be known that for some reason this board has no status LEDs for any of the components(insane and annoying I know). Should I just return this motherboard and try a different one? i get that i'm privileged to live in a house with a/c when many don't. i noticed tuesday night when coming back from a doctor's appointment that the house was hotter than it should have been, especially since we replaced the whole unit last year when it fully died. so i got up way earlier than my usual, to call the hvac company who confirmed that the part in our basement was leaking coolant, but the tech did not have the parts nor the time to fix it today. he topped off the coolant to last us today (which it did thankfully) but now i have to get up way early again (5.5hrs from now) to call them to get someone out today to fix fix it.
3 things are complicating this: 1. i have to call social security after i call the hvac people and i've been trying for the last 4 non-holiday business days to speak to a human but have had to hang up to go to other doctor's appointments, run errands, etc. i started a very part time remote job recently and despite asking for help, i was told i'd get a call back but never did. 2. i have yet another medical appointment to go to and won't be here after 2ish pm. 3. when i told my stroke-victim mother's partner he'd need to be available for them to come after 2, i was told if they couldn't come in the morning or while i was still here, they'd have to come ON A DIFFERENT DAY because he was going to lunch with his daughter. and i'm livid because he did not tell me he was going anywhere despite my appointment being on the calendar for 6 weeks and this is A FUCKING EMERGENCY!
me, my mom, and he are all medically fragile, but fuck me if i get overheated, right? my mom, who he calls "his sweetie" is also now taking two ssri's that cause heat intolerance. so fuck if i live, but he should care about her enough to get this sorted but no. the other thing is, i can't change this appointment and he's unwilling to change his very-easy-to-change plans, and this will leave my bed-bound disabled mother alone for several hours which i'm not comfortable doing.
this is all exacerbated by me starting a job where a lot more responsibility than i can handle with my anxiety being given to me already, my ssi payments being messed up because i can't fill out this form because social security never called me back when i requested help, and if feels like i'm drowning on dry land in a drought. i need help but have literally no local support people. my therapist said i should consider scaling back work till i can get health things and social security sorted, which i have formally asked for. but i just feel like absolute shit mentally and physically and have been recently diagnosed with OSA and lymphedema and its just...a lot.

So I wanted to post this here as only you guys would understand why I kinda feel weird about this as our parents wanted us to stay an age where they can control us forever and tbh part of my brain is telling me that I should not be happy about this but I am so onto my little excitement rant.
In thirteen hours I'm going to pick up my little brother from his first day at freshman academy (he is a high schooler now) and I can't wait for him to tell me all about it, if he enjoyed it, if he didn't, what he did, any friends he made, teachers he likes. I'm so excited for him to be moving onto high school, I'm looking forward to school supply shopping either with him or for him, I've tried to get him to come along in the past but he finds it boring so I try to get him things he likes, but also are good quality.
I'm excited for him to join the marching band as he is really good at tuba and I hope I'm reading this right and not projecting but I think he generally enjoys band. The day before the concert he was messaging me trying to get me to guess what songs they were going to play and after the concert he asked me if I liked it and told me his favorite piece to play and why but then he stopped when our mom came up and interrupted him by saying "this thing is stupid let's go home." She's been calling so many things that he may be interested in doing stupid or boring or she lies about them to him.
Like I tried to get him to do middle school band night so he can just get the experience see if he's interested in band as at the time I couldn't tell I told him I would be there all throughout the night (high school football game, parents/adults had to buy their own tickets if they wanted to stay with their child of course my mom saw it as a waste of money when it was my time for middle school band night. But I told him no matter what I would be there the whole night and we could find something to eat before or after. And he was so on board, but then my mom started her shit saying "oh she's lying, the first chance she gets she's going to run, she won't be there to watch you play, she doesn't wanna spend any time with you, she will leave you in a crowd of strangers and make you find your own way home" so he got scared which was reasonable and didn't wanna go anymore I tried to convince him otherwise but she was stuck in his head so I didn't force him.
For freshman academy she called it stupid and boring and she lied about how it's just going to be him doing senior level class work which was a lie. It's all just games and walking around campus so you get used to how it's laid out and don't get scared your first day. He was iffy on it so I bribed him, I don't know if you should bribe a kid or not to do something but I really wanted him to experience something with her flying around him. I also bribed him to get good grades as our mom would always call him stupid and lazy and pathetic which makes him not wanna do his homework or pay attention in school and when he came to me bragging about how he got over 100% in one class as he did so much extra credit to not only catch up but go over and he turned in all his late assignments as well.
He was so happy and giddy and I felt so proud of him showing off the grade to me "look look what I did look" are etched into my brain and it makes me so proud of him. He is so smart, but I don't know if it's adhd making him struggle, our mom or a mix. I also bribed him to do marching band as he was iffy on it, but I told him I'll give you x dollars if you do it he was in. I have a feeling he is going to hate the first few weeks but I'm going to try to have him go until his first game or competition whatever comes first before he makes the final decision to leave or not and I want to do my best to see him every game or after and support him the best I can.
My little brother is growing up and I am so proud of him, I can't wait to see the kind of person he turns out to be.

So, I'm the ST of a chronicle made by miself on London during 1888 (most cleaver ones should know the main plot). And I promise my players to do The Fall of London next with the same vamps, so I need to make a time skip from 1890 to 1940 (When the London Blitz puts the players on Torpor untill 2012). and I was wondering, what was the part of the vamps during the WW, is something write about it? So I've been seeing a new therapist for about a month. I have bipolar so I've been in therapy for about 20 years. Took a break for a couple of years but my psychiatrist wants me in therapy. I am also going through a mid life crisis of sorts with my only child now graduated, and me turning 50. I need help with the next chapter of my life. I explained all this to my new therapist. Our second sessions she talked about attachment styles, I'm not sure why, but I did learn some things. Our third session she talked about stress causing illness, how the body remembers trauma. When I say she talked about stuff, I mean SHE talked about it. It was like being in a class. She never explained how these things pertained to my situation or asked me any personal questions at all. Our 4th session today she told me about the seminar she went to last week about EMDR. This is the weird part. She talked the ENTIRE HOUR. Never asked me ANYTHING! She recapped the whole seminar, told me about her experience with the technique. Told me how it had helped her. It was half freshman psychology class, half infomercial. When I say I never got a word in, I mean I nodded and said things like, "oh thats cool,"or "yeah that seem like it could be helpful". Because SHE NEVER STOPPED TALKING! She was like the friend you have coffee with who tells you about her vacation but doesn't acknowledge that you might have news too.
I know my therapist had a tough childhood, that her dad could be abusive, I know she was in the military, I know she has 3 kids. I know she is processing childhood trauma. I know she is super excited about all kinds of techniques with which to help process trauma, and that EMDR is amazing at rewiring the brain. I now know a out EMDR because I listened to a 50 minute lecture on it. What I don't know is whether or not my therapist knows what I'm there for. Which was help adjusting to my next stage in life.
I don't even know what to say. I wasn't even mad at the time, I was too busy going "what the fuck just happened?" Now I'm like, who does that? It's obvious that she is passionate about the subjects but I'm not sure knows how to apply them to people. Obviously I am going to change therapists, this is silly, but do I say something to her? Do I say something to her supervisor? I've fired therapists in the past, because it wasn't a good fit, or because I felt like after several years our relationship had moved past professional. If you know what I mean. This though, it felt super odd.

Sorry this is longer than I anticipated!
Last Thursday, we noticed our 13 month old toy poodle was acting very lethargic, shivering and wouldn’t finish his food (he is typically food motivated and wasn’t even interested in his treats). This is my first dog as an adult so I was really nervous and stressed and googling symptoms didn’t help.
On Friday I decided to call his vet and bring him in for an emergency appt . His normal doctor wasn’t there, but I explained the symptoms to the new doctor and she said his behavior was likely due to pain in his knees because of his patellas (forget the full name of the condition but it’s very common for his breed) and prescribed him pain meds and a week of rest. I questioned why this would be the cause when he wasn’t limping or anything but didn’t press too much. We started giving him the meds that day and Saturday. He seemed to be a bit better, eating a bit and not shivering so much.
Sunday night, he wouldn’t eat lunch or dinner but had his normal level of energy throughout the day. On Monday he wouldn’t eat breakfast and was extremely lethargic. He started vomiting so I took him to an emergency animal hospital because the vet was closed for the holiday.
The ER doctor ran tests which all came back normal except for low blood sugar, which (aside from being a result of him missing more than one meal) apparently is very common for his breed at this age. They said he would grow out of it in a few months but kept him overnight to bring his vitals up and make him eat. I learned from this doctor that it’s really dangerous for him to miss even one meal and I should give him honey or something with sugar directly in his mouth if he refuses to eat.
I asked the ER doctor their opinion of our usual vet’s diagnosis and he said to not be too hard on them because as an ER doc he is just more likely to go the route of running tests, and that I should feel empowered to asks for tests if the vet isn’t suggesting that. They said if the vet had run the tests they wouldn’t have prescribed the “non-steroid medication” (no idea why the non-steroid part was relevant but including it anyway lol).
I guess I’m just frustrated that our usual office (albeit not his usual doctor) who knows his normal behavior wasn’t able to properly diagnose him and that we could have prevented him so much discomfort if we were better informed of the possibilities. And that I spent $200 for the emergency appt + $2.5k for the overnight ER stay. (but that part was at least worth it for the peace of mind). I do feel like I learned a lot of lessons and would be better equipped to ask the right questions/request tests if my gut doesn’t align with their diagnosis.
If you were me, would you look for a new vet?

I had a girlfriend up until a few months ago, everything was great for a while. I was the happiest I've ever been as much as I hate to admit it. But eventually, she cheated. For months after that, I was a wreck. I was so angry, sad, everything.
I trusted her more than anyone & she betrayed me. I would've died for her & she cheated. Since then, it's been hard, & while I still don't see myself finding love ever again, I'm good. I realized that it was never meant to work out, there were always issues but I was blinded by "love" & I didn't see them.
Fast forward to today, she messaged me for the first time in a while. I always told myself that if she did message me I'd say "Fuck off, you're dead to me". But I couldn't bring myself to do it. It may sound really pretentious but I think that one of my biggest flaws is that I can really be too nice at times. I mean this bitch ruined my life & I couldn't even say that.
She said she misses me & that it was a stupid mistake, she talked about how happy we were. I teared up a bit reading it all & she pleaded with me to at least try & go back to how we were. I know it can't work out, I know I'll never be able to trust her again. But a big part of me wanted to try.
I said, "We can never go back to how it was & I'll never trust you again" as I cried. But I said that because I know it won't work out, not because I didn't want it to. After a little while she said, "I'm sorry for what I did" & blocked me. I don't know how to feel.
I've heard of couples working through shit like this, but I don't know if I can. I hate cheaters more than anything & I don't know how I can get back with her with the amount of times I've wished her dead. But I don't know if I'll ever be able to feel love like that again.
I like to tell myself that one day I'll find a girl a trillion times better that'll make me feel something even greater than this girl did but I find that hard to believe. Maybe I'm meant to die alone. It happens to people all the time so maybe I'm just another one of them. Who knows.

I’ve been going to Destin for ~17 years with extended family. Haven’t had a vacation since 2018. We typically would all stay in a couple of the big FWB condo resorts with multiple rooms and a full kitchen and a patio you could see the ocean from.
I’ve been swamped with work so when the family said, we’ve got it taken care of, I thought we were good.
Mistake one.
Apparently, taken care of means a $1200/night hotel room with “beach service” they can bring their 4 dogs to. And they booked us a room next to theirs, so I can listen to their purse dogs yap all night while they get drunk and yell at each other. Additional cost to use the beach and resort fees too.
I thought we were doing a AirBnB or something. No kitchen, not even a fridge or microwave. Which adds even more to the trip budget, since now we have to eat out every meal.
I’m an old beach bum who grew up going to Port Aransas, Tx as a kid and just wants to walk on the beach or sit on the patio and chill to the sound of waves. Maybe rent a pontoon and head out to crab island for a day. FWB was the sweet spot of semi affordable and amazing beaches, and cool people.
Am I screwed at this point, or can I maybe find a reasonable AirBnB or something that has beach access or a golf cart or something that isn’t funny money expensive?

As title states, got a few parts from a coworker. It’s a Corsair AX760 power supply, an i5-4690k, an MSI Z97A Gaming 9 Motherboard, and a Corsair C70 Vengeance Mid Tower case. I’ve built 2 PCs previously and have decent knowledge of parts, but don’t know what I could use to finish this build. Most specifically, what GPU?
With these parts I obviously don’t want a 4080, but is something like a 2080 too much? Or even something like a 1070? I don’t want to overkill on the GPU, especially since the PC will likely become a gift. That or I may look into other personal uses, but I currently have none.
Any tips and ideas are greatly appreciated, thank you!

Human Dave: "Fat load of good that does us, Reeda'Tila-Lasoran."
PR: "Do you have to use my full name every time?"
HD: "I like what it translates to."
PR: "I am aware that I am a bitch, Human Dave. You do not need to announce that I am 'The Bitch of House Lasoran' every time you address me."
HD: "I think I do, Reeda'Tila-Lasoran."
Alien Captain: "Enough! You two fighting will not contribute to finding a solution to our current predicament! Are there any outposts near here with enough firepower to deal with a Voidborn?"
PR: "Negative, Captain. The Voidborn will have eaten us long before we manage to reach anyone even remotely capable of eliminating it."
HD: "So, we're fucked, then."
AC: "A bit crudely put, but yes. We are, for all intents and purposes, fucked."
HD: "Brilliant. I'm going to go play with the Aflarrians, so I'll be in the cargo hold if anyone needs me."
Human Dave pulls up his holo-display, and starts walking off towards the cargo hold.
PR: "Wouldn't he be better served trying to fix the damage sustained by the ship?"
AC: "If we are as doomed as we believe, then it is simply a matter of time before the Voidborn devours us. He is spending his remaining time with the Aflarrians so that they do not pass alone and afraid."
PR: "..."
...
HD, into his holo-display: "Hey, Mum. Sorry I don't call as often as I should. I do miss you guys, and I was hoping to swing by with Captain again. I know we were planning a little outing with the hybrids, but I'm in a bit of a bind here.
It's pretty bad, and I don't know if we'll make it, but I can always hope that we'll pull off a miracle of some kind.
I'm sending a data file along with this message. Can you please make sure that Commander Beckett gets it? It's intel on the thing that's causing the problems for us now.
Humanity may very well rely on the data file in the future. But that's more of a problem for the future than right now.
I'm sending a bunch of recordings of what I've seen throughout the years. I think you guys would like a lot of it.
... I don't know what else to say. I don't want to go out like this. I was hoping for something more 'guns blazing,' but it's more like how we'd hunt; being chased down by a super-predator of all things. We're supposed to be the biggest, baddest things out here!
Tell Dad not to worry about me. And for God's sake, please don't tell Carol or Barry that I got emotional on here, although I guess you're showing them right now, anyway.

Human Dave wipes tears from his eyes before queuing the message to be sent when his vital signs are terminated.
The Aflarrians meander around Human Dave, and Minnie climbs up to Human Dave's shoulder, and licks his face.
Human Dave laughs at her attempt at making him feel better. He knows they're smarter than anyone would expect, and the proof is plain for him to see.
He gently picks her up off his shoulder, and begins stroking her back, as she gives out a contented trill.
Human Dave closes his eyes, waiting for the inevitable.
...
At least until he hears a booming voice that seems to emanate from everywhere.
Unknown Voice: "DID SOMEONE ORDER A RESCUE?"
Human Dave's eyes tore open, as one thought races through his mind.
HD, internally: "What the fuck?"
The ship shakes violently, as what feels like a massive gust of wind slams into the side of the ship.
Human Dave quickly puts the Aflarrians back into their box, and rushes back to the bridge of the ship.
As Human Dave enters, he sees a new addition to the viewscreen.
A colossal creature takes up most of the screen; black-and-white scales covering the body of the creature, massive claws adorning its hands, a large crown of horns jutting from its head and the end of its tail, and its vaguely lizard-like features are dwarfed by the pair of large leathery wings which span longer that the stellar nursery they had run from.
HD: "IS THAT A FUCKING DRAGON?!"
Captain and Reeda are both startled by Human Dave's voice; having had their attention completely focused on the viewscreen.
AC: "HUMAN DAVE, IS THAT WHAT A DRAGON IS?!"
HD: "It looks like one?"
The dragon roars at the Voidborn, and somehow, the sound of its roar reverberates throughout the ship, despite being in a vacuum.
Everyone on board covers their ears, or their equivalents, at the ungodly volume of the roar.
The Voidborn flinches at the sound, and waves its tentacles menacingly at the dragon.
The dragon's wings begin to glow a pale yellow as it rears it head, and unleashes a blast of pure energy at the Voidborn.
AC: "WHAT THE FUCK IS IT DOING?! THE VOIDBORN WILL NOT BE HARMED BY ENERGY! IT WILL ONLY FEED ON IT!"
The energy blast collides with the Voidborn, and begins to push it back, before it starts feeding on it.
The energy blast continues for far longer than anyone expected, and the Voidborn begins to change colour.
Its many-tentacled body begins to turn dark, and starts to turn to dust, as the sheer amount of energy it devoured was too much for its body to contain.
The dragon reaches for the ship, and cradles it near its body, wrapping its limbs and wings around it, as the energy reaches its apex and detonates.
...
After what seems like ages and mere moments all at once, the dragon releases the ship and leans down to fix its gaze into the primary viewport of the ship.
The comms blare for a moment as words are translated.
Stellar Dragon: "Are you guys okay? When I heard your distress signal, I got here as fast as I could."
AC, PR, & HD: "..."
SD: "Hello? Can you guys hear me?"
HD: "We hear you."
SD: "Oh, thank God. I was worried that the energy detonation fried everyone on board."
AC: "Who are you? What are you?"
SD: "Oh! Of course! I'm a idiot. It's just that it's been quite some time since I had anyone to speak to, and I forgot to introduce myself. I'm Drakonis, a Stellar Dragon; first of my kind, but I used to be from a race called humans."
Both Captain and Reeda turn to look at Human Dave, shock appearing on both their faces, which is mirrored by Human Dave.
HD: "You're human? Wait. ARE YOU THAT GUY THAT TRIED TO MAKE HIMSELF INTO A DRAGON ALL THOSE YEARS AGO?!"
SD: "You've heard of me?"
HD: "ONLY BECAUSE I DIDN'T KNOW IF YOU WERE ACTUALLY REAL!"
SD: "Well, here I am. In the flesh, so to speak."
HD: "NO FUCKING SHIT!"
SD: "Well, if you guys are all good, I'm going to go find a nice stellar nursery to have a nap. It's always nice and cosy sleeping there. I think there was one somewhere around here?"
PR: "We passed one a while back. If you follow our engine trail, you should find it."
SD: "Oh? Thank you very much. I'll head there now. Good luck out here!"
The Stellar Dragon flaps its wings, and flies back the way the ship had come from.
AC, PR, & HD: "..."
Alien Doctor: "Is everything alright now? Quartermaster is complaining that the cargo is all over the place."
AC: "Yes, Doctor. Everything is alright now. I will ask Human Dave to help with sorting everything back into its proper place."
AD: "Thank you, Captain."
Captain gives Human Dave a meaningful look.
HD: "Alright, alright, I'm going."
Human Dave grumbles as he leaves the bridge.
On his way to help Quartermaster, he pulls up his holo-display, and archives the message on standby, hoping he'll never have to send it, but keeping it, just in case.
