Know Your Presidential Candidate
We all know it is very early in the Presidential Election season but I recently received some news that is very important to me and even more important to many of my fellow Prison Brothers:
Ron Desantis (R) is in favor of REPEALING the First Step Act (FSA) that former President Trump signed into law. Desantis calls it a "jailbreak law" and it is part of his strategy to attack Trump and promote his "Tough on Crime" platform.
As a reminder, FSA is the only way that those serving time in Federal Prison can earn early release days (other than their immediate 15% Good Time Credit or GTC) by participating in programming while staying out of trouble. You start by earning 10 days of early release for every 30 days you serve and eventually it moves to 15 days for every 30. Not everyone qualifies for FSA credits immediately depending on your crime and your "points", but they can work their way down to qualify for FSA with good behavior.
FSA is the ONLY reason I am due to come home at the end of the year. Fortunately for me, I will be out of Prison before anyone new can take office and repeal the Law. Reminder**Just because a Democrat is in the White House, it doesn't mean THEY wouldn't repeal it also (Remember, this was a Trump era Law).
This country has tried the "Tough on Crime" approach in the 80's and since then with Mandatory Minimums (another reason why I received a 34 month sentence and not any less even if the judge WANTED to give me less.) and providing no incentives for early release--the only thing it has proven is IT DOESN'T WORK.
What has proven to work is incentivizing those in Federal Prison to educate themselves, elevate their thinking, getting them to believe there are options other than what got them there, and, lastly, getting them to want to help others. If someone refuses to do those things, then yes they deserve to stay in Prison longer (and of course there are crimes that justify life in Prison and there are individuals that should never leave Prison).
People who have been incarcerated and return to society better educated have proven to be:
--FAR less likely to return to Prison, thus saving tax payer dollars and increasing tax revenue by them working IN society.
--Better neighbors and overall members of society which is what people are most afraid of when it comes to releasing felons from Prison.
Know your favorite candidates beyond just what side of the aisle they are on. Their beliefs could affect someone in your family and when they come back home.

So if you have seen past posts of me, I have been dating an amazing woman I met on FB dating. We have been on a few dates and just seen each other in between those times.
Things have been going great with her. We definitely like each other and we want to see this go for the long haul. My question is how does one get out of their own head when it comes to relationships?
When I say in my head, I should probably give better context. I tend to overthink things, like if I am messing up or doing well, etc. I have not been in a relationship with anyone in about 7 years. We have ach other's undivided attention and I think I have been having a bit of difficulty easing into the new role. Admittedly I am out of practice and haven't met someone who made me really care about them. But over the course of knowing her, my feelings have grown a lot and I genuinely care about this woman and would love to see it go all the way.
I noticed that I get in my head about when I have to cancel plans or if I may be late to seeing her or just made up shit, like if I should just randomly text her something or if I am pouring it on a bit thick. Granted we live about 2 hours from each other, I definitely try to make dating me easy on her, by making the drive to see her and just being respectful of her busy life. But I guess it feels like I have been so far removed that I don't know what is the right play sometimes. I guess in the past it was like always feeling like I am on the chopping block, and it was always about trying not to mess up. When I am around her, I think I have a great poker face, but internally I am definitely having an intense 5D chess with my mind. I definitely feel like I have met an amazing woman and I want to love and cherish her. I just don't want to mess it up either. Maybe it comes with continuously getting to know her, so i am still learning her personality and all that.
I think I have to learn patience and am really excited about her, so I think it is a matter of just trying to reign myself in and keep doing what I am doing. I do like her a lot and really want this to go the distance.
TLDR; I am dating an amazing woman I matched with on FB dating, we are exclusive and I am having a bad habit of getting in my own head, worried about messing up. Need advice of getting out of my own head and understand that I won't mess up and act accordingly.

### Background I started running in 2020 as a way of losing weight (38M 6’3” 220lb) and became hooked. I ran a few short distance races and soon found that I preferred the longer stuff.
I ran my first marathon which was Edinburgh in 2022 (4:09:XX) off the back of Hal Higdon and really struggled with that race. The wheels came off and I bonked hard. Up until that point, I assumed that bonking was a feeling of fatigue and was not prepared for the bleak, negative, end-of-the-world emotions that came along with it.
I did not feel proud about completing my first marathon because deep down I knew I had more to give. How could I be satisfied with a goal of simply finishing when I had invested so much mental and physical energy. I promised myself that I would learn from the experience and come back stronger in 2023. Reading your race reports has provided invaluable knowledge.
I ran two further marathons in 2022 with a modified Hal Higdon plan to increase training volume, the first one being London (3:49 - a huge PB) and the second just two weeks later setting another PB of 3:43. I felt proud of those performances and realised I could do even better if I could increase endurance and prevent my pace from dropping off after the 20 mile mark.
In 2023 (two weeks ago) I ran the Leeds marathon and treated this as my ‘B Race’ from a performance perspective. The route has around 1,500ft of elevation so not PB territory. Like everyone, I ran this race in support of Rob Burrow / Motor Neurone Disease and it was a special occasion. I ran a strong first half and then eased off finishing in 3:58 and barely reflected on my performance. This event was about so much more for everyone involved.
Two weeks later, onto Edinburgh for redemption!
### Training In January 2023 I decided to run Pfitz 18/55 and peaked around 63 miles. I lost 2 or so weeks due to illness and overall stuck to 80-90% of the prescribed mileage. I didn’t hit every LT, Vo2 and MP workout but stuck to the core principles of long/medium/short distances and fast/slow paces. My weight reduced from 212lbs to 205lbs. I saw my LT improve (according to Garmin at least) which gave a good indication that things were improving compared to my readings from the previous year.
Once again I would be running two marathons two weeks apart through circumstance rather than design. I was lucky enough to be accepted into London last year and decided to stick with my ‘backup race’ two weeks after that. This year, I wanted redemption at Edinburgh but couldn’t resist running to raise money for MND in Leeds.
Of course performance compromises are to be expected in taking this approach but there are also positives. It takes away the pressure of having to nail a single race on the back of a long training block and squeezing two performances out of a single training block gives more bang-for-buck, at least in terms of experience .
### Pre-race I slept well the night before the race and woke up around 7:30am, ate a large bowl of overnight oats, drank a coffee, applied a generous amount of lubrication, kitted up and then headed to the event. This moment always feels like Christmas Eve to me. You know what you’ve asked for but you’re not quite sure if you’ll get it.
### Race Garmin race predictor had me at 3:40 which tied in nicely with my goal of sub-3:40 so I set my watch for 3:39. I brought along 8 SiS gels (the beta variety due to their higher carb content). I had one at the start line then planned to have one every 30 mins. I’m a bigger guy and need to keep on top of fuelling. I took two electrolyte tabs and two caffeine tabs along to have 1.5 & 2.5 hours into the race.
Miles 1-5 The first 5 or so miles at Edinburgh are mostly downhill to sea-level and it’s hard not to let it fly. I hit a couple of sub 8 min/mi’s during this section (which I had no business doing) but I didn’t want to hammer my quads by braking too much.
Miles 6-13 This next section takes you out along the coast where you spend the majority of the race. Back in 2022 I really didn’t enjoy this because the crowds are smaller, there are fewer distractions etc. This time I really enjoyed it. The sun was shining with a gentle breeze and I felt as though I got the first half for ‘free’. My HR was Z2/Z3 and I had built up a useful buffer of 2-3 minutes.
Miles 14-18 At mile 15 I decided to spend 30 seconds of my buffer on a toilet break. Still out on the coast, you hit the loop-back at around mile 18 and enter the grounds of Gosford House (an old stately home). It’s a really nice part of the course but there’s a section on loose gravel which isn’t much fun. I winced at the AFs, VFs, Elites etc getting chewed up. Last year the death-march had well and truly started by this point. Today, I felt really strong and in control. My HR was now in Z3/Z4 but I had a good sense of how close to push it to the edge and was still managing the race well enough.
Miles 19-21 I usually dread this stage but flew through miles 19, 20 and 21 still feeling strong, giving out high-fives to the kids, smiling for photos etc. For the first time in a marathon I started passing lots of other runners and it felt incredible. I didn’t have any of the usual brain fog, I didn’t need to walk, I didn’t curse myself for signing up to the event. All is well.
Miles 22-26.2 I finally felt like I was working for it. Not ‘Z5-working-for-it’ but my pace had dropped off and I was fighting to get my cadence back. I felt like my feet were hitting the ground for about 3 seconds of contact time before turning over but in reality I was still good. I set a small goal of keeping all remaining miles sub 9min. In reality, I could have kicked harder in the final two miles but I was good with uncomfortably hard and didn’t want to tip it over the edge. I saw a few runners needing medical attention which was enough for me to look at my watch and realise that with a final kick down the finish line, I would achieve my goal.
### Post-race I hit 3:39 and felt a real sense of satisfaction. It wasn't like London where I ran out of my skin, pulled a PB from god-knows-where, and shouted in disbelief as I crossed the finish line. This time, I looked at my time and was left feeling as though I had claimed what was rightfully mine. I lay on the grass with my family, sipped on a beer, closed my eyes and felt a wave of endorphins flowing all over as I heard my kids playing in the background. This is why we do it, my mind is totally empty, the sun is screaming down on my face and my body is dissolving into the earth below. Job done.
### What next? I have now done 5 marathons in my first two years and have gained so much. I'm a late bloomer but I’m now a truly happy person and my family has gained the best version of their Dad/husband. I have my first 50k fell run coming up (or ultra, depending on your persuasion) and will then build towards another event in Oct-Nov.
I will run Pfitz again but need to focus on losing more weight and strengthening my posterior chain as I have noticed in race photos that when I’m fatigued, my torso collapses forwards which means I am no longer running with my hips forward and chest high. I think that 3:35 is well within my sights, 3:30 would be incredible and anything faster than that would be a dream.

First time in a movie hall in our home town he was really nice. Second time I picked him up a couple of blocks from my house. He was walking down the road in a really hoy day and I made a you turn and offered him a ride, he was heading to his brothers house( He lives close to mine) We chatted for a few minutes about his music plans, a movie I wanted to write and he seemed really interested and he wrote down my number. Of course he never called me but it was fun. Both times he seemed actually amused that someone recognized him.

I’m so tired of being hurt..
I don’t like to get close to people much anymore because the people i’m closest with either died, left, cheated or something like that. Then comes along this girl and for the first time in a while i felt comfortable and happy and could speak about anything with her. We went through a bunch of stuff together (military stuff) and through all that time We had feelings and she said things like “i’m yours” and other lovey stuff. Throughout the time though she always said that we’re just friends because she doesn’t want to commit to anything because she went through some things in the past year and also i’m the first guy she feels comfortable around but it still hard to commit to that. I completely understand that and don’t want to push anything on her. She also has a lot of guy friends that she says a little flirt here and there too, but of course i can’t do anything about it because we’re not together. I’m not the jealous type anyways so i don’t think about it too much(sometimes i do).
We just did a huge day and a half long drive together, she was gonna go alone but i offered to come with her. That whole time we were on eachother and we’re having a great time. We spend basically everyday with eachother.
So we were supposed to do something this morning after we sleep from the very long drive. So comes the morning i get no response so i decided to go out with one of my boys to eat breakfast and get some essentials at the store. While eating breakfast coincidentally i see her with this guy, i didn’t think nothing of it (she has a bunch of guy friends and was gay for years so she had a lot of guys as friends and wasn’t attracted to them) I left them alone , didn’t say hi or anything, they didn’t know i was there. When i see them leave they’re all holding hands and laughing. Like just freaking yesterday we were doing the exact same thing and she seemed like she was having a great genuine time.
I know we’re just friends but like how do you be so heartless Have you been playing me? Have you been playing all those other “guy friends”?? What have you lied to me about??? What’s real?
I blocked out so many people to avoid these feelings and of course when i get them they hurt. It’s that i saw this coming but i was blocking out those thoughts and was also justified by you that i was yours and all your sweet freaking lies.
I can usually be done with these feelings pretty quick but for some reason it hurts so bad and i’m just too far in love. Like she’s all i think about now. We’re still like best friends and she wants to do something everyday but it’s gonna be so hard to be genuine around her anymore.
I was okay with being just friends but everytime you make the effort to put my hand on your thigh and make me hold you or flirt with you but i guess you’re only doing that because i’m in front of you at the time. I can go away if you like, just please tell me and don’t lie because you don’t want to hurt me or something.

‘I think I lost them’ Franz thought as enters a dilapidated warehouse that seems to have been abandoned for quite some time.

After getting away from the pursuit of the alien aircraft, he continued to evade detection until he eventually reached what what he can only assumes as the old town district.

This district seems to be neglected and mismanaged for quite some time, the buildings here is ether run down or abandoned all together, perfect for a wanted man to hide.

‘Huuuui finally I can take a breather’ Franz thought as he’s currently hiding in an abandoned warehouse. You can that it’s abandoned by the overgrown vegetation.

‘Now what’ with some time alone Franz can finally think what to do next

Franz pats down his grumbling stomach as he’ll think of getting something to eat tomorrow after getting some sleep.

He then sats down and leans on one of the walls, he quickly fell asleep as he has had a hard day evading capture in this alien world inhabited by what seems to be devils.

Something awakens him from his slumber.

‘What the?’ Franz groggily opens his to see what’s the commotion is all about.

‘Awww fuck me!’ He cursed as he sees a team of what he now dubbed as “devils aliens” or devils trying to stealthily infiltrate the warehouse.

‘Fortunately they doesn’t seems to have found me yet’ he thought as he silently got up and stealthily moves away from their line of sight.

Once out of their sight he peeks out on one of the windows to see what’s the situation out side
​
‘Aww double fuck me’ he curses as outside of the warehouse is an army of devil aliens already surrounded the place.

There’s a few flyers outside circling around and shining flood lights around the compound.
​
The grounds forces are numerous even from what just what he can see there’s like a hundred of them, there’s even few large mechs mixed in.

‘What now?’ Franz is supremely screwed.
​
As he stood there stunned a beam of purple light shot pass him.
​
FranZ quickly turns to where it came from and saw that one one the devils found him.
​
‘oh boy here goes nothing’ he thought as he reached for his stun baton and pulls it out.
​
Now somebody might be wondering why doesn’t he use his rifle? If it were an automatic weapon it would have been a go to weapon but it’s not it’s a bolt-action, even the most optimistic of predictions would say the would be able to to 3 shot at most before being overwhelmed by enemy fire.
​
Range is not the answer he needs to take it close and personal, if he were to take it close the enemy might hesitate to open fire on him in fear of friendly fire.
​
Of course they could fire regardless if their ally get hit or not but then again Franz noticed that they were very carefully when they open fired, they tried to minimize collateral damage as much as possible when he was being chased by them during the day. Thy doesn’t seem like a society that disregards life.
​
Anyway that leaves him with the knife and the electric baton.
​
The knife might have a higher chance of killing them but you’ll have to get super close to even have a chance to aim for the killing blow, in a knife fight light cuts aren’t ganna do jack shit.
​
Now the baton is different even if they parry your attack the electricity can still travel from the weapon and into their arm there by paralyzing their arm and that’s not even directly touching them.
​
With the baton out he lunges forward and took a swing at the demon that tried to shoot him.
​
The devil tried to block it with her laser gun but Franz’s swing was so powerful that it smashed through her plastic gun.

The devil became wide eyed bat the sight of her weapon being destroyed, she could only stare as Franz’s swing continues on eventually making contact with her skin

After being the zapped she fell to the floor unconscious.

‘that was quick’ Franz’s thought being quite bewildered at how easy he subdued the devil.

Kid bewilderment didn’t last long as the commotion attracted the attention of all the devils with in the warehouse and are now converging on his position.

Episode 1: Story begins with Ash saw the nightmare where the world being destroyed and even Arceus unable to do anything about it. Then Ash wake up and he just realized that he was invited to see the Pokemon Contest final (Serena Vs Aria) in Kalos, but when Ash went to Kalos, he saw his Greninja being unconscious because of being overworked for cutting wood so many years non stop without taking any break (Lol!)
Episode 2: It's only 1 hours before Pokemon Contest final starts, Ash had sent his Greninja into Pokemon center. Meanwhile Bonnie and Clemont calls Ash that the plant from Giant Rock had nearing the Luminse City. Ash and Lucario attempt to sense where's the source of those plant are but unable to. Meanwhile at this time, Greninja had been fully recovered and returns to Ash!
Episode 3: Greninja had been recovered! With Greninja's help, Ash was finally able to find the source of the Giant Rock- on underground. Clemont used the newly devloped drill to make the tunnel so that Ash (with Pikachu, Lucario and Greninja), Clemont (with Luxray) and Bonnie (With squishy) will able to reach the underground and saw the core of those plants. With the combined effort of Pikachu, Lucario, Greninja, Luxray and Squishy, they was able to destroy the core and stopping the Giant Rock plant once and for all.
Episode 4: After the Giant Rock Plant Core had been Destroyed, Ash had found that the Pokemon Contest final had already begin. Ash was tried to reach Pokemon Contest as soon as possible. At first, Aria's excellent Contest skills makes Serena begin to self-doubt if she could made it, but Ash was eventally managed to arrives and cheers Serena, allowing Serena to unlock Bond Transformation on Her Delphox to become Serena-Delphox and become Kalos Queen (Yes, I made her Kalos Queen that early because I have struggle to write Pokemon Contest chapters)
First Appearance of Dawn
Episode 5: At last, Ash and Serena had finally reunion! To celebrating Serena become Kalos Queen, Ash was going to buy the new clothes for Serena as suprise gift so that Serena can put her Blue Ribbon back on her chest, but Ash have struggle to do so because Ash know nothing about clothing style, but thanks to Diantha's help, Ash was eventally able to find the clothes that fits Serena and fits her Blue Ribbon.
Episode 6: Ash and Serena say goodbye to Miette, Diantha and May as they moved to Pallet town. But at the next day, they found themselves had been trapped inside the crowd as both are now become the celebrity and all of the billboard had their own face! Diantha will teach Ash and Serena must find the way to move around in public

Episode 7: Clemont was devloping the devloution device which allows the Pokemon to devolve if they accidentally evolved against their will. However, like most of Clemont's device, his devlution device went malfunction and begin to explode and accidentally fully evolved his Chespin into Chesnaught as well! Everyone was managed to escape, but the explosion was so huge that it blows half of the Prism Tower, leaving them homeless and have to temporary move to Pallet town to live with Ash until the Prism Tower had been fully restored. Meanwhile, Xerosic managed escaped from jail and separated Clemont from Bonnie and Meyer. Xerosic's power protector easily overpowers all of his pokemon and his chesnaught! Xerosic was teasing that Clemont's science is terrible, but Clemont determination that the science was supposed to be used for justice allows his chesnaught to unlock the bond transformation to become Clemont-chesnaught, allowing Clemont to defeat Xerosic and sent Xerosic back to jail. Unfortunately, Xerosic was managed to damage the Prism Tower which forcing Clemont, Bonnie and Meyer to living in Ash's house temporarily until the Prism Tower had been rebuilt.

Ever since Pidgeot had reunited with Ash, those Fearow had rapidly reproduce, quickly take over the Viridian Forest and begin to spread out of nowhere! Those Fearow demands Ash's Pidgeot in exchange for those Pidgey and Pidgeotto's life and the Blue Ribbon. Ash and Pidgeot arrived Viridian Forest but those Pidgey and Pidgeotto told them not to leave his Pidgeot here because they thinks that the Pidgeot was belong to Ash and Ash refuse to leave his Pidgeot here. Those Fearow now attempt to hurt those Pidgey and Pidgeotto and ate the Blue Ribbon! Ash Mega Evolved his Pidgeot to fight against those Fearow but being slowly outnumbered by those Fearow. On the verge of Ash's Pidgeot's defeat, those Pidgey and Pidgetto had evolved into Pidgeot and helps Ash's Pidgeot to defeat those Fearow and give Ash back the Blue Ribbon, ending those Fearow's threat once and for all! Ash and his Pidgeot was bid farewell to those Pidgeot and give the Blue Ribbon back to Serena, now Ash's Pidgeot can live with Ash forever!

May and Max meet Ash and Serena once again and was surprised why Ash would hugging Serena so tight and lying on the ground (lol)! Ash and Serena attempt greets May and Max but May didn't speak and respond with sign language! Max then told Ash and Serena's sad news about May become inability to speak because of the spasmodic dysphonia! Knowing that Jirachi will took 980 years to become useable again, Max decided to find which pokemon can cure May.

Epsiode 11: While May and Max was staying at their home to find if there's any pokemon to makes May can speak again, Ash and Serena went outside and saw the Absol laying down outside and end up seriously injured.

Epsiode 13: Gary had reunited with Ash, where former had become the Pokemon Professor. Gary brings Ash and Serena to visit the extension of Professor Oak's laboratory (Clemont and Bonnie was here too!). Meanwhile, Giovanni had arrived the laboratory and defeated Professor Oak. Gary came out and fight against Giovanni once again and.....lose once again. Meanwhile, the Team Rocket Grunts kidnapped Professor Oak while they're battling and Giovanni had left the laboratory!
Epsiode 14: Giovanni kidnapped Professor Oak to Team Rocket base to make Professor Oak works for him. Ash and Gary was thinking about how to save Giovanni. Meanwhile, the Team Rocket trio appears once again and attempt to steal his Pikachu, but Misty and Brock arrives and saves Ash's Pikachu. Ash respond with a heavy heart as Ash aware that this might be their last time to prepare for trouble as Ash had decided to destroy Team Rocket once and for all (Yes, he feels sympathy for those Team Rocket Trio because he aware that Team Rocket Trio have heart) and Ash's pikachu sent Team Rocket Trio flying once again like usual!
Epsiode 15: Thanks to Clemont's science, Ash, Misty, Brock and Gary was able to track down the location of Team Rocket base. Clemont gives Ash the device which allows Ash to freely switch his Pokemon party anywhere and anytime. Ash, Misty, Brock and Gary went to Team Rocket base while leaving Serena, Clemont and Bonnie at Ash's house. Ash, Misty, Brock and Gary charging towards Team Rocket Base and begin the final battle against Team Rocket!
Epsiode 16: Ash, Misty, Brock and Gary fight against thousands of Team Rocket Grunts who "Welcomed" them. They managed to clean the way and proceed, but Domino appears and blocked their way! Misty and Brock decided to stay here to fight against Domino to let Ash and Gary reaching Team Rocket Base! Meanwhile, Professor Oak had been tied into the chair which extract his knowledge about the pokemon.
Epsiode 17: Ash and Gary was finally managed to find Giovanni and Professor Oak. Giovanni transfer his consciousness into the Armored Mewtwo (this Mewtwo is different from the first movie one and it's nothing more than Giovanni's new body) while Gary was going to save Professor Oak. Serena, Clemont and Bonnie saw the news about Ash is fighting Armored Mewtwo and decided to head to Team Rocket base together with the help of met Korrina, Alain and Diantha. Meanwhile, Ash had been defeated by Giovanni and being tied outside the Team Rocket base!
Epsiode 18: Clemont, Bonnie and Serena met Korrina, Alain and Diantha to rescue Ash, but being interrupted by the artifical pokemon army and Dr. Namba. Korrina, Alain and Diantha decided to fight against Dr. Namba while Clemont, Bonnie an Serena stay to fight against those artifical pokemon to clean their way to save ash. Meanwhile Giovanni was about to end Ash's life, but being stopped by Gary. Inside Ash's mental world, Aaron was teaching Ash to master Aura power. After Ash mastered the Aura power, Ash breaks free with his newly mastered Aura power and team up with Gary to fight against Giovanni.
Epsiode 19: Thanks to Ash and Gary's excellent teamwork, in addition of Ash's mastered Aura power, Giovanni had been easily defeated and Giovanni's mewtwo armor had been teared apart. At the same time, Misty, Brock had finally defeated Domino while Korrina, Alain and Diantha managed to defeat Dr. Namba and the artifical Lugia thanks to the Real Lugia (the one from M02) , while Serena, Clemont and Bonnie had defeated all of those artifical pokemon army. They all reunited with Ash and Gary. Meanwhile, Giovanni still refused to give up, he used the knowledge that being extracted from Professor Oak to create the gigantic ultimate pokemon called Chimera. Giovanni insert his consciousness into Chimera and razed half of Pallet Town into ground!
Epsiode 20: Despite the combined effort of Ash, Gary, Misty, Brock, Serena, Clemont, Bonnie, Korrina, Alain , Diantha, Chimera was proven too much for those heroes to handle! Chimera then begin to cover the entire sky with the black smoke which will slowly turns all pokemon all over the world into shadow pokemon! Seems there's nothing to stop him, the real mewtwo appears and team up with Lugia to helps those hero to fight against Chimera. Meanwhile, Ash's Greninja was managed to use his extrasensory to emulate almost all of Pokemon moveset while his Lucario's aura power had been enchanced which allows his Lucario to create the spirit bomb sized aura sphere. Ash, his pikachu, Greninja and Lucario eventally able to blown Chimera to pieces and sent Giovanni's consciousness back to his human body. Ash came in front of Giovanni and about to kills him with Aura sphere, but Serena, and later the newly arrived Team Rocket Trio pleding Ash not to. Following Giovanni, Team Rocket Trio and rest of Team Rocket member being arrested, Team Rocket had finally being taken down for good. Korrina, Alain and Diantha say goodbye to Ash, Gary, Misty, Brock, Serena, Clemont and Bonnie as Korrina, Alain and Diantha head back to Kalos. Ash and Team Rocket Trio made the promise that they'll be travel together once the Team Rocket Trio served their sentence
Epsiode 21: Few days after Team Rocket being taken down, Ash, Gary, Misty, Brock, Serena, Clemont and Bonnie made the celebration for that.

(Yes, typical dense shell Ash for ya) He begin to refuse other people's help and even end up having Quarrel with Serena! Ash ragequit his house and being attacked by Damian, who is looking for revenge of his charamder's betrayal. Despite Ash become lot stronger since they last met, Damian's newly obtained Psychic power and his Charizards army (Mega charizard X and Y, Gigantmaxed Charizard and Shadow Charizard that Damian created with his Psychic power) was proven even more ahead of Ash, but Ash's bond between pokemon quickly turns the table! While Ash was about to defeat Damian, his Pikachu suddenly unleashed the large amount of power and went berserk!
Epsiode 23: Having his pikachu went berserk, Ash had slowly realized that he's only care about Pokemon and become megalomaniac had corrupted his bond with pikachu! He begin to feels sorry about how he treat his friends especially Serena. Ash was later apogoized to Serena and his friends and slowly reconcile with each other and discuss how to bring his pikachu back to control. With the combined effort of Serena and his friends, Ash was eventually able to bring his pikachu back to sense.
Episode 24: Those evil Malamar had finally returned to present and attempt to brainwash Ash and Serena once again, but Clemont used his device to prevent the brainwash from happening! **Ash and Serena was quickly blows those evil Malamar into ashes but the energy crystals absorbs those evil Malamar's body and activated and quickly defeated all of their pokemon except Pikachu. That energy crystals attempt to shoot laser on ground and Ash have only pikachu left to stop that energy crystal! Ash's feelings resonance with pikachu which allows pikachu utilized that power once again to **create the deadly new move for pikachu: Ragnerok!

Oizys steal all Serena's pokemon, all Ash's ace (including his Greninja) and almost managed to steal his pikachu but his pikachu managed to free all of Ash's ace and Serena's pokemon, Ash and Serena got the upper hand and defeats Oizys, but Ash being posessed by Oizys in front of Serena's eyes and defeated almost every single Ash's traveling partner, all 7 Pokemon Masters , Gary Oak and Serena. Here is some context. We broke up about a little less than a month ago and I honestly don’t know who broke up with him. He started acting weird for a little bit and I was away from home so I texted him why he was acting so weird he said we could talk about it when you get home and I kind of got upset which was dramatic of me and I said just text it to me or don’t talk to me at all and I blocked him on social media and messages the unlocked him afterwards. knowing that I am a little dramatic for doing so. I also gave him all his stuff back that was at my house, and I gave him even gifts that he gave to me. It know again super dramatic.
Come to realize after unblocking him he had me blocked too. I then went to messages and realize I was blocked on there too trying to contact him so I ended up emailing him to unblock my number so we can talk. I went away for another weekend because I do competitions and we still haven’t talked I said let’s FaceTime and he said the reason why he was acting where is because we weren’t spending enough time together which doesn’t make any sense to me because when he started acting weird, he would not want to do things together. He wouldn’t want to come over my house and he didn’t even text. Good morning. Good night or even say, I love you. He also did not want to sleep over my house at would just leave in the middle of the night. Which I thought was so weird.
After bickering a while, text I said we can be done since you want to act like a child not really meaning it. I feel like girls say those things just out of anger and it was my first time acting saying that throughout our 4 years relationship. Am I wrong for saying that but after saying that he didn’t even put up a fight, he just was OK with it and I sent multiple paragraphs saying goodbye saying I don’t want this saying I love you and he was just responded like nothing no reaction no I love you back or let’s fight for us. This was our first actual fight. I hate myself because I still love him.
I know we are both in the wrong but I feel like some part of me that he doesn’t even care.After sending those text messages saying that I don’t want this and that I love you and I want you back I said let’s meet up to talk multiple times and he said there’s nothing to talk about. I don’t understand how there’s nothing to talk about after texting him over the course of three days and no response. I just realized I was ghosted and stop texting. That was May 17.
My birthday was May 20 and I couldn’t stop thinking about him. I went to text him and the messages were green so I assumed I was blocked again. So I emailed him one last time on the 21st saying I need to talk to somebody and that I still love him and I want to be friends. He actually responded and said that we should probably not be friends until a while. He also said happy birthday and congratulations on graduating because I graduated in 23rd, which was another horrible day by the way.
We were together for four years we were teens. I was 18 when we started dating he was my first love, so I don’t know how to cope. I’ve been really suicidal, which is nothing new for me because I do suffer from depression and bipolar disorder, but the feeling now is so much more intense. He was there for me for my first attempt to so he saw what I went through and he just left me, I hate him for it. Some part of me still wants to get back together and I still have hope. Should I break nc.

Without going into too much detail… I’m 34 and have a 16, 14, 10, and 1 month old.
I honestly feel like I’m failing as a mom… no matter how hard I try or how present I am it doesn’t seem to matter.
When my two oldest was young I was a single mother, their dad left and has never looked back. Of course they were too young to remember as they were 2 and newborn.
Come 4 yrs later I met my now husband and they know him as their dad. We now have 2 other kids who are 10 and newborn.
We’re not the perfect family and we’re not rich by any means… we live very modestly. I’m not able to buy them everything they want but I try. We also have good values and morals. Their dad works full time and I’m a stay at home mom. I’ve always been present doing fun activities or just spending time with them. I’m an easy going mom and I want them to be able to confide in for anything and talk to me about anything. I also don’t do drugs or drink.
I was heartbroken to find a note in my daughters room( 14 yr old) saying she wanted to commit s**cide. And the note went on to say she’s a crap person and all her friends hate her. I’m heartbroken :( this has happened before and she’s been through many counseling sessions. I also caught her sending photos to strangers on Snapchat—- and she is no longer allowed to own a phone.
I’ve told her many times how much I love her and I’ve even taken the time to spend extra attention on her… it’s not working.
Then my oldest son(16) never changes his clothes hardly ever—- he’s got a closet full of clothes and only wears 3 outfits. It’s hot outside and he refuses to take his hoody off. I have to get on him about clipping his nails and just simple hygiene. I will say he is indeed a straight A student and will probably graduate early but he’s socially awkward. He’s never been invited to stay the night anywhere and he’s never been to a birthday party (except for his own and siblings). He doesn’t even want to go outside in the summer—- just wants to play video games.
My 10 yr old son is autistic and screams a lot—- he cusses and acts like a toddler. I had to block some YouTube channels and stuff on his oculus because he started saying weird things like “moms got big b00bs!” And then he’d break out laughing. So he’s joking but I still tell him that’s inappropriate and weird but he doesn’t get it! I’ve put him in time out and have taken things away and he still does weird things!
I just feel like I did something wrong somewhere and I’m not sure what :( it’s eating me up and depressing me…. Their dad is getting frustrated as well.
What can we do? This could be normal kid/teen stuff but I still worry. Any advice or people that have went through this please tell me your stories

In this video Abraham Hicks talks about "allowing" billions of $$ to come into your live. At 8:17 (cued up in the link: https://youtu.be/csJAlzSgof4?t=497) she talks about "guarding" your money when it comes in, which will block it and somehow make it dissipate. I have a question about that:
A friend and I sometimes play the lottery together whenever there is a big jackpot. He talked about immediately going to the headquarters of the lottery office with the winning ticket. I objected and came up with all kinds of rules and stuff in order to "do it right" and "smart": "No, we should first consult financial advisers to know where and how to park the money and have a notary office collect the money for us in order to stay anonymous. We should figure out to which (tax free) country/bank we can have this money send to in order to avoid having to pay a large chunk of taxes right away", etc. etc. From the point of view of "sensible" financial advice this would be the wiser option, as so many lottery winners go broke within a few years, not knowing how to handle money. But from a LOA point of view ...?
Am I creating resistance? Am I throwing up all kinds of blockages? I felt a little twinge when I said this in that conversation (as I am becoming more sensitive and alert to how I feel) - which makes me wonder!

Hey folks, I know the audience is a bit biased but y'all know the products better than anyone which is why I'm asking for advice here. :)
I have the opportunity to buy a used 2023 Trek Checkpoint SL6 SRAM AXS eTap (1x12) for $2,800 firm or a new Checkpoint SL5 (2x11) for $3,399.99 plus tax. For the new bike, I expect I'd be able to negotiate the price down to ~$3,000 (plus tax) based on oversupply issues but this isn't guaranteed. Tax for me would be north of 8%.
I've verified with the original owner that the SL6 isn't stolen (receipt provided) and it has a few upgrades such as Lizard Skins bar tape and Maxxis Ravager 700x40 TLR tires plus it comes with a bottle cage, a frame bag, and either SPD or flat pedals. It looks like it's in good shape and was well cared for based on the photos and the description. With that said, I haven't seen it in person nor have I done a test ride because we're still discussing the price.
Over the course of a few weeks, the seller had one deal fall through and knocked off a few hundred from the original asking price. Frankly, with another $500 off ($2,300 all in) I'd have already bought it!
I'm planning on doing a ~1,250 mile (~2,000 km) bicycle touring/packing trip later this year but I already have a 10 year-old Frankenstein aluminum flat bar bike with fenders, a rack, and other upgrades incoming so while I don't need another bike, the Checkpoint SL6 would be nice to have for the right price. (And I'd sell off the current bike for ~$250 or so to help offset the total cost.)
Eventually, I'd like to get into /randonneuring via upgrades to the SL6 (e.g., Hunt rims, Redshift stem, etc.) but I don't have a firm timeline as I have to bring my weight down to avoid going over the maximum total weight with gear. Still, I'd rather upgrade once (i.e., the SL6) instead of building up the current Frankenstein bike and then tossing the frame and parting it out when the aluminum eventually fatigues.
Yes, I'd be forgoing a lifetime warranty for the SL6 frame but as I understand, carbon fiber frame repairs are now $250 to $500 (of course, depending on the severity but we'll assume a crack at some point).
Also, I have a sizing concern as I've read that I should size down for the Checkpoint. I did have a recent bike fit done for another Trek (a dedicated road bike), so I was planning to replicate those measurements for the Checkpoint SL6 as much as possible. For now, I'd mostly use the Checkpoint for longer distances such as 100+ miles (166+ km) and riding on wet/rainy days while using my road bike on days with great weather and superb riding conditions.
I suppose another way to look at this is if there are going to be more deals in the new and used bike markets later this year and into next year... or if this one is too good to pass up. I know the prices for the Gen 3 Marlins recently slightly came down after a big jump since 2019/2020 prices but it doesn't look like inflation is going away anytime soon.
As current owners, is there anything else that I should take into account? Thanks!

This isn’t a doomsday piece; in fact it’s sort of in opposition to the idea that we’re facing a sudden collapse. But I do think harder times are coming in the US, and for many they are already hard. I’m going to throw out problems I personally see coming, and propose some preparations. I think these are realistic concerns – you won’t see nuclear war listed here. Note these are all long term concerns – 5-50 years – but preparations should begin as soon as possible. This is mostly centered on the US, but I think some of it is universal. 1. Grid problems. The US power grid has not been well maintained, and it doesn’t help that we now have occasional radical bozos who take pot shots at substations. (There’s also the risk that a foreign adversary might launch a cyberattack that affects the grid, but I consider it unlikely – they’d get a war they don’t want, for their troubles.) I don’t think CMEs are as much of a concern as some people here think – we can see those coming – but they have caused localized disruptions in a few places over the last 50 years (Canada had problems in March of 1989, though they recovered in less than a day.) Most of the risk, in my opinion, is just more extreme weather – hurricanes, extreme heat, wildfires and ice storms can all knock our power for days. A day’s power failure is an inconvenience to most people – houses don’t freeze or cook, food doesn’t go bad, you might have to resort of a battery powered radio for entertainment. Three days, though, means food will start to go bad, and people on wells are resorting to bottled water. Some folk will literally start to go hungry by a week, and gas can be in short supply, so transportation can be hard. By two weeks, problems can get serious. Solar power is often touted as a solution. It’s a good approach, but not a panacea. Buffalo NY had a blizzard recently that immobilized the city for days, and cloud cover was persistent. Solar solutions stopped working. In some areas this is not a concern; in others, solar just isn’t workable. Preps: solar if it works for you and you can afford it. A generator if you can afford it and are willing to store gasoline or propane (10 gallons/20 pounds at least) is a go to in some areas, but it’s not a maintenance free solution. (Run a generator at least once a month for at least a half hour if it’s gasoline powered, every six months if it’s propane.) But there’s a more workable solution that often gets overlooked – be able to live without electricity entirely, when you need to. This means manual can openers, dry ice for cooling food, propane camp stoves, non-perishable food supplies, stored water, oil or propane or kerosene lamps for light, board games, thick blankets and sleeping bags, solar cookers in some areas, a bucket for sponge baths, and batteries for flashlights and radios. And if it’s practical – for folk with kids, especially in school, it isn’t always – spend a day a month without power, to test your preps. Flip the circuit breaker and get to work. The first few times you try it, you learn a lot. Will fusion come and save they day? Maybe, but fusion is at least 10 years out and no one thinks it’s going to be cheap. I would assume the worst when it comes to energy availability (and cost) in your lifetime. 2. The next pandemic These happen and they will happen again. We’ve all learned the drill. Covid took out a million plus Americans, and it took a year to really get effective mitigation going. The mitigation were phenomenal and became available in record time, and they represent a new standard for pandemics, but the human cost in terms of job loss, difficulties in getting supplies, additional expenses for some, national debt, and just plain social isolation still took a toll that no one but epidemiologists were expecting. It could be tomorrow or two hundred years, but it will happen again. It’s a rare generation that won’t see one going forward. The next one could be mild or vastly deadly; there’s no predicting that. We know the drill on this; what’s important now is passing the lessons along to the next generation. Stock masks, have a financial cushion of at least 6 months if you can, do what you can online instead of in person when pandemics hit, practice hygiene religiously. (Hand sanitizer was a minor player in the war against Covid, which turned out to be airborne, but it’s key against many diseases.) Luckily, preps for pandemics are not that different than preps for major weather events – you might get stranded in your house for 2-4 weeks during extreme peaks or lockdowns. 3. Job loss and inflation Without getting into a discussion of late-stage capitalism or general doomerism, none of which I believe in, there’s one unmistakable trend over the last few decades, and it’s that jobs are just harder to find and keep in many disciplines. It’s not just AI that’s raising questions – it’s ongoing social shifts that are moving wealth up the social ladder and making it hard to get a fair share of what’s going around. It’s international bad actors disrupting supply chains, it’s plain old advances in technology disrupting entire industries. People used to joke about using their college degrees to flip burgers – the joke is less funny today because automation is coming for burger flippers, as well as truckers, taxi drivers, farmers, marketers… Having a financial cushion that last 6 months seems like a cruel joke to many, who are having problems stocking a week’s food. But it’s never been more essential, because every social problem ripples into job losses in the end. Social unrest? Weather events? War in another part of the world? Changes in the tax code? It all affects someone’s bottom line, and long gone are the days when businesses would take the hit and protect their workers. Now workers are the first things cut. And that won’t change anytime soon. All I can suggest is, partner with neighbors to share money saving ideas, put every penny you can into whatever savings you can manage, do group buys to cut costs and have supplies on hand, and know about every social support system out there. SNAP was a lifesaver for a lot of people during the pandemic peaks. Food pantries exist in many towns and will save you money. Learn to trim electricity usage to the bone. Fight to keep medical insurance as long as you can, because there’s not many calamities worse than have to choose between skipping critical medical treatments and poverty. -- Folk will note that I didn’t list climate change. Yes, I think it’s very real. But for just about everyone, the problems show up indirectly. The southwest US is drying up, and that won’t change in your lifetime – but you’ll see it in increased water costs (inflation) and grid issues. Food choices will change – sooner or later, meat will become a luxury item and food costs in general will rise further. Diseases may spread more easily and evolve faster as climate migrations of both people and animals create new mixes of pathogens. It’s not that people will drown as oceans rise up overnight, but more areas will become more expensive to live in, as weather damage increases, insurance rates go up, more electricity gets used to compensate for temperature extremes… in the US, climate change is an economic problem... at least at first. Folk will note that I didn’t list rising fascism, which is becoming a measurable trend worldwide, and the US is in no way immune. I don’t have a prep for this: all you can do is vote, or, ultimately, move if you can. These things come in waves and all I can do is hope this one passes before we trigger much worse problems than we already have. As much as social unrest is on everyone’s mind and politics has started driving violence in the US, the prep is to get on with your life, live peaceably with your neighbor regardless of his politics or skin pigmentation, disconnect from disinformation, and vote for people who don’t tell you who you should hate. Troubles don’t come if no one starts them. Folk will note I didn’t add disinformation to the list. I actually think this is a major concern and that most people have no idea how much chaos it causes. Disinformation campaigns over Covid cost (at my own estimate) 300,000 unnecessary deaths in the US. They’re feeding extremism and causing people to turn their back on democratic institutions, like elections. In a very real way, it’s the biggest problem facing the US today, but… the only prep is don’t listen to the bullshit. And I’ve come to the conclusion that there are simply a lot of people who love to listen to bullshit and have no way to determine when they’re being lied to and manipulated. So I don’t have a prep for this. Online I block people to seem to embrace bullshit, but the problem is still out there, and I’ve come to the conclusion that people who are swept up in it, wanted to be swept up in it and there’s no cure for that. Haters gonna hate. All I can suggest is, spend more time in the garden and less online. Vegetables don’t hate anybody.

Early 2022 filer here - I see that my case transitioned to interview was scheduled on May 24 that I didn't find out until today. I checked Documents tab on my online account but I didn't see any interview notice.
I've USPS informed delivery set up and I see a letter from USCIS is arriving today. Of course I'll get more info from the letter but I'm very impatient to find out what the interview date would be. From your past experience, do you have any insight when the interview could be? Also, ours is a pretty straight forward case and with so many interviews being waived, is there a reason for any concerns? Any good interview prep resources would be super helpful as well - thanks!

Comment template notes:

• 'Vitamin C type' should be noted on the product or in the ingredients list; common types of Vitamin C include ascorbic acid, sodium ascorbyl phosphate (SAP), and magnesium ascorbyl phosphate (MAP). Don't worry if you can't pinpoint it though!
• 'Amount (%)' of vitamin c is highly encouraged! Brands will often include that info in the product description, and sometimes review sites will have it as well. But don't worry if you can't track it down.

Off Payroll Working (Anti-Avoidance) Bill

An Act to make provision for further anti-avoidance measures in relation to Off Payroll Working and the establishment of employee rights where income is deemed employment income.
BE IT ENACTED by the King’s most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Lords Spiritual and Temporal, and Commons, in this present Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:—
Section 1: Definitions
(1) “Off Payroll Working legislation” refers to successive previous laws and regulations related to the determination on whether a worker should be treated as an employee or self-employed for tax purposes when paid through an intermediary.
(2) “IR35 legislation” refers to the successive previous laws and regulations on off payroll working above, directed at small privately owned businesses.
(3) “Client” refers to any corporate entity which pays for services provided by an intermediary.
(4) “Intermediary” refers to any corporate entity established to provide the services of individuals to a client.
(5) “Individual” refers to the person providing services to a client while remunerated through an intermediary
(6) “Deemed employment income” is any income liable for income tax and national insurance under the terms set out in Section 5.
Section 2: Combination of Off Payroll Working and IR35 rules
(1) From the enactment of this Bill, interpretation of all IR35 legislation will be considered the same as Off Payroll Working legislation, and the treatment between small private businesses and other businesses will be the same.
(2) In all cases, the client will now be responsible for determining the employment status of the worker.
Section 3: Application of Off Payroll Working Rules
(1) Off Payroll Working Rules will be considered when:

a. An individual has more than 5% ownership of an intermediary entity, and/or;
b. Services given to a client by an intermediary equate to more than 5% of the individual’s total taxable earnings.

Section 4: Assessment of Employee or Self-employed for tax purposes
(1) In each financial year, the client must make an assessment on whether an individual should be taxed as an employee or self-employed.
(2) If at least 5 of the following conditions apply, the individual shall be classified as an employee for tax purposes and “deemed employment income” should be calculated and taxed for Income Tax and National Insurance by both the client (in the first instance) and by the individual (true up/down in their annual self assessment):

a. Degree of control - in the course of the services, is the client mostly responsible for establishing the hours of the service or the time of day or date that the work should be delivered?
b. Mutuality of obligations - is the client obliged under the terms of the contract to give regular work and pay for it, and is the individual responsible for delivering that work?
c. Correction of work - is the client responsible, ahead of the intermediary or individual, either contractually or implicitly, for the quality of the services delivered by the individual?
d. Financial risk - are the financial risks related to the contract primarily with the client instead of the intermediary/individual?
e. Provision of own equipment - is the majority of the equipment used (buildings, plant and machinery, technology, sundries etc.) in the service provided by the client?
f. Disciplinary - is the individual contractually obliged to the same or greater behaviour and disciplinary terms as an employee of the client, or where not applicable, an employee of an equivalent business?
g. Exclusivity - does the contract result in substantial terms of exclusivity for a period greater than 3 months?
h. Inclusion in business - is the individual practically included in the client business in the context of internal meetings and communications?
i. Alternative worker - can an alternative individual replace the individual without substantial disruption or public statement?
j. Public opinion test - would a reasonable member of the public expect that the individual is an employee of the client?

(3) HMRC will challenge the judgements made for each consideration above if they appear to be unreasonable in a tax tribunal.
Section 5: Provision of employment benefits for deemed employment income earners
(1) Where an assessment is made that an individuals’ earnings are deemed employment income, the individual retains the right to statutory employment benefits and statutory pension terms as other employees.
Section 6: Repeals
(1) The Off Payroll Working (IR35 clarification) Act 2018 is hereby repealed.
Section 7: Commencement, Short Title and Extent
(1) This Act will come into force on the 6 April 2024
(2) This Act will extend to the entirety of the United Kingdom.
(3) This Act shall be cited as the Off Payroll Working (Anti-avoidance) Act 2023

I now present the final piece of anti-avoidance legislation to the House. Many years ago, alongside my good friend bnzss, I co-wrote a piece of legislation designed to tackle the known tax avoidance loophole through off-payroll working. While the legislation has been somewhat useful at tackling the loophole, recent cases such as those of Gary Lineker and Lorraine Kelly have proven that the legislation simply does not go far enough. Therefore I decided to rip it up and start again.
This legislation goes much further than the previous Bill - firstly combining both the IR35 rules for small businesses and the off-payroll working rules that currently apply to larger businesses, ensuring consistency between both sets of rules. Secondly, the Bill establishes a clearer set of criteria and a passable threshold in which earnings made through a company registered under the Companies Act 2006 or it’s predecessor or successor acts or a limited partnership should be recognised as employment income, thereby incurring income tax and National Insurance. Finally, this Bill provides further clarity as to the status of an individual when their income is deemed to be employment income, and extends the rights of employees to these workers including but not limited to the provision of statutory employment benefits and rights under the Employment Rights Act 1996 and statutory pension regulations.
The Government will relentlessly pursue those who wish to use technicalities in our regulations to avoid paying higher rates of tax and companies that wish to avoid conferring statutory benefits to those who are, for all intents and purposes, employees.
In combination with the other two pieces of anti-avoidance legislation I will be/have submitted to the House, these measures are collectively expected to raise £3.4 billion. This proposed revenue generation and these Bills were raised at Her Majesty’s Budget Committee and unopposed. My thanks go to my friend the Right Honourable Phonexia2 for their assistance in costing.
I urge the House to rally behind this Bill.
(M: These costings are calculated as 40% of the tax gap for “Evasion” and “Non-payment”, given the difficulty of calculating the actual revenue generated from these measures).

Here is a crazy story I would love to share with the Internet.. So like 4-5 years ago I was living in a small apartment in Vlaardingen West with my GF. The idea was to pay as little rent as possible within the Randstad to save money to then buy a house. So naturally we found something very cheap on a not-so-pretty area. Very quiet area though ..next to the forest and close to a golf course. I think the rent was 500€ for 70 square meters. Great deal. Lovely neighbors . However the apartment was on the 3rd floor (4th floor in US terms) and had no elevator.
Anyway..
One quiet morning I head the doorbell and I see 2 police officers with a dog in front of my door. They asked me if they could come inside my apartment. I naturally asked them if they had a warrant (they didn’t) … In the end I decided to let them in because at the time I hadn’t received my Dutch citizenship and I definitely didn’t want any sort of trouble with the law.. Why give them reasons to suspect I was doing something wrong right ?
The dog and then proceded to search the apartment like very quickly and aggressively. Then I asked the officer. Sir wants going on? He told me to give them a min. Then I ask again sir why are you both like looking here and there .. I am sure I haven’t committed any crime I am sure you have the wrong person.. Then he said … look in your balcony..
I went to my balcony .. didn’t see shit. Then the cop said look down .. I look in the garden that is 3 floors down my balcony and there is in the ground a freaking HUMAN SKULL 💀.
Turns out a dog found it .. in that exact garden 3 stories down my balcony …
Moments later the whole Vlaardingen police closed down the block .. and I never hear anything about it ever again.
To this day I still don’t know.. If you happen to know who’s corpse was that please let me know 🤣🥲

In a bit of a weird spot on a passport renewal and wanted to ask for recommendations.
I was self-employed leading into the pandemic and got completely wiped out in 2020 -- totally lost my business and suffered a pretty nasty financial setback -- ended up never getting around to filing my 2020 taxes in 2021.
Don't need to go into details but it took a while to get back on track and I'm finally getting around to fixing it this week + should have everything ready to roll by the end of the day.
Anyway...
Among some of the other dumb lapses during the downturn was a failure renew my passport. My partner has some out of country travel plans toward the end of summer, and now that I'm back in a position where I can afford to do it, I'd really like to go with her if I can get my ducks in a row. I'm cutting it a bit close, but if I'm working on the expedited timeline, I'm not too concerned about getting renewed.
However! I'm also aware that delinquent tax debt is a common cause for application denial. At present, because I haven't filed the year for which I owe, I also technically do not have any delinquent taxes -- I've checked my balance on the IRS website and can confirm that I don't owe anything...yet. I definitely will once I file (I've run estimates on this, I've got a good handle on what it'll be, it won't be terrible, and I'm totally comfortable paying it -- just a matter of getting everything squared away). One of the additional headaches that comes with filing late is that I can't do it online -- I'll need to mail everything, which means that I'll need to wait for everything to ship and I'll need to wait for confirmation that the IRS approved everything. I'm worried that this part could take a while.
My question is whether or not my filing status will accept my passport application and what the best course of action for choosing when and how to apply might be. I'm totally aware that this is a bit of a gamble on timing -- the world won't end if I don't get set up in time, but I would really like to make it happen if I can and I'd like to do whatever will give me the best shot at making something work. Should I go ahead and put my application in for expedited service as soon as possible? This makes me a bit nervous -- from what I've seen, it sounds like a denial leads to a 90 day hold before I'd be able to get everything moving again. Should I wait a week or two until I have confirmation that my tax docs have been received and then put in an expedited application? Or, should I get the tax stuff squared away and hold out until I can put in an urgent request when the 14 day mark rolls around (I live on the East Coast and I can get to a few of the agency locations pretty quickly by rail)?
