I know that Xdebug makes PHP slower, but on my Ubuntu 16 PC it makes PHP much slower only when listening to Xdebug is enabled in PhpStorm, in other cases speed is fine.
But now I'm trying to install development environment on MacOS with Docker.
So in few words: I've found a benchmark script. When I check PHP speed with Xdebug installed and enabled, it takes about 28-32 seconds to execute it. If I build a container without Xdebug installed and configured, script execution time is about 0.8-1.1 sec which is 30+ times faster!
Is there a chance that I configured something wrong and server sends 'Xdebug response' all the time?
Not sure actually how that works, but I am sure that it should not be like that.
I am using Docker, Ubuntu 16.04 container, PHP 7.2, Xdebug v2.9.1, Apache.
Here are my Xdebug settings:

I (22 F) have been with my bf (24) for a little over 4 yrs. Or relationship has been a bit rocky but we want to make it work. In total, we've lived together for a little under 3 yrs (weve lived in 3 different apartments together). Through out living together, we both agreed that some of those times were the best times of our life and we were deeply in love but when he got our last apartment together, we both fell into addiction issues and personal issues so thats what caused our break. I moved back into my parents and he & his best friend got an apartment together. We've had arguments here and there. But one thing we agreed is that we isolated ourselves in each other when we lived together and didn't have much attention for anyone else like friends. We had some come and go but his 2 best friends always stuck around and they'd come over sometimes.
Recently, he started getting paid more and I'm able to save up my money living at my parents.
Now, back tracking again. He and his best friend have ALWAYS been into going to concerts. They'd go to one 1-4 times a year... I've never been invited to a single one.. even for birthday gifts, I've bought both of them tickets for shows they wanted to go to but I've never been thought of to tag along.
Fast forward again, we have this extra money coming in now. He, his best friend, and another friend went to Disney World.. cool, fun.. I wasn't invited cause it was his best friend's birthday. Whatever.
Now, my bf is going out more with friends, which I'm happy for him.
More plans for concerts, going out to a party, planning a trip to Las Vegas for my bf's birthday... I'm still not invited.
I'm kind of more hurt about not getting invited to his birthday trip to Las Vegas. I guess I understand wanting to hang out with the boys but I've never really gotten any big plans with him & ive never really ever been able to travel anywhere cause my mother was sick for most of my life. Ive set dates for us to go to other states and they just never fell through. We went on a very tiny road trip recently and our 4 yr anniversary followed shortly after.... and we did nothing for our anniversary. So his excuse for doing nothing was our... very tiny road trip as a substitute for our 4 yr. I got really mad over this, he apologized, and said he'd make up for it... nope.
I've asked about going to concerts and... he doesn't want to see that artist or drive 1.5 hr away. I've asked about going to raves and that doesn't interest him.
I mention a trip to Washington in 3 months and... he's iffy.
Am I over thinking this? Am I right to kind of view from the sidelines and wish I'd get an invite? I feel like if I ask to go on the Las Vegas trip that he'll feel pressured. I'm happy he's going out with friends but I feel like he doesn't want to include me on big fun adventures.

I really liked Harry wells, and it took me a while to appreciate H.R. wells but I did like him. Sherloque wells was a fun one, and Nash was okay. Before I watched the crisis episodes, I was really hoping that somehow, all of these different earth Wells' would come together towards the end to form a sort of ACTUAL council of wells. Like maybe the hologram council was supposed to be a sort of foreshadow for a future council of wells we would come to know and love, but instead it seems they were all written out of existence, save for timeless wells. Though, I do appreciate that they were able to shed a little bit of light on the OG Wells we never got to know.
After that, it felt like Tom Cavanagh was only on set to awkwardly share the reverse flash role with Matt Letscher.
Then they also got rid of one of the best characters in Cisco. I had gotten slight spoilers when I glanced at a post about why Cisco left, so the moment I saw that Chester was a techy guy and had been welcome back to star labs, I totally saw how he'd eventually come to replace Cisco. And not that I don't like Chester, but he almost felt like a lesser "same character" to Cisco. Dude is half of a blackhole for a while, but once he's returned to normal he's a regular guy until the very last episode when we find out he has some kind of healing because of his "black hole dna"? I'm not familiar with the comic book character, but the guy was a literal black hole and that's almost forgotten about until the final episode?
Sorry for the rambling. I just finished watching the show tonight and am excited to join the conversation on this show. It's weird to binge a show for so long and not feel bummed when i finally finish it.

Next week, my dog (Margaux) and I will set sail from Echo Lake to Bend, Oregon along the PCT. While we've been training in Southern California for the last few months, this will be our longest trip to date. We chose this section because we'll still get the beauty of the top of the Sierra's without the snow conundrum...not to mention that the pooch wouldn't be allowed through most of the Sierra's.
For those concerned about my dog, Margaux is a 55lbs Golden Retriever, we've gotten sign off from our vet with all her updated shots, and has been training with her saddle bags and boots. We've been doing 10-15 mile hikes 3x a week in preparation. She'll only be carrying 10-15% of her weight in her bag (mostly her dehydrated food and little things that take room, but aren't heavy). I'll be using her as a barometer of when we need to stop for the day. We plan to keep it between 15-20 miles/day.
That being said, I still have some questions about our adventure...because of the snowpack this year, I'm curious about the snow conditions in Desolation Forest through Donner Pass. I haven't been able to track much down. Admittedly, I'm new to the FarOut app and don't know how to navigate the interface well. I'll have crampons, but i'm hoping to avoid bringing an ice axe.
TLDR questions: Has anyone else had any experience bringing their dog on part of the hike and can provide some learnings? Any thoughts on the snow conditions in Northern California? We'll be looking to get a ride from Reno to Echo Lake - does anyone know a service that provides besides uber? Just some questions that have been running through my brain as we pack up our gear.
Either way, we're beyond stoked to be joining the community and seeing some of your faces on the trail!

Ok. Long story short, my first time playing Katawa Shoujo and as I blazed through Act 1 getting all the Hanako choices, I've decided: "Yeah. Nah, Hisao. You gotta run to stay healthy." And guess what. I got Emi's path first accidentally. So, I stopped playing to decide whether to do her path or go back to do Hanako's which is the one I was gonna get if I just didn't run. Someone convinced me to do Emi's by saying it would make more sense to choose what Hisao I'd rather be and have the girl choose me, so I "Took it as it was" and let Emi's path take me through the game in relaxation.
As of now, I have gotten her Super Good Ending in my first playthrough, so I felt naturally very proud of myself by actively being smarter than whatever Hisao was telling himself he was, and then I did her Flawed Good Ending and Bad Ending next to fill in all of her progression and got my heart absolutely wrenched 😢 the Breakup in the Bad Ending reminded me of a breakup I had irl (Obviously I wasn't as stupid as Hisao is in this path for the reasons as to why it happened would be the same, but rather the way she worded it was very similar. Plus, Emi already reminds me of my ex, kinda why I was negating going through her path first), and as of now I have done her entire character progression and will give you guys my thoughts on it.
8/10 in my humble opinion (Very good, but still had details that bothered me)
Why I liked this path so much:
FIRST OF ALL, NURSE IS HOT, I WANT A PATH JUST FOR HIM -You guys already know how much i love Nurse, and he's in this path 24/7. His music is awesome, he's good looking, and he's playful af with both me and Emi, and actually gives really solid advice for Hisao's screw-ups throughout the path. I want to see him in other path even if his role is short, just one scene will make all the path worth it.
It feels surprisingly natural for a Dating Sim/Visual Novel -I haven't played a lot of Dating Sims, but I have a lot of experience with VNs. Danganronpa is my favorite game of all time ffs. Anyway, the way they went from friends teasing each other, to eventual flirting, to kissing, to fucking, to official A Grade Meet My Parent kind of partners felt very natural and realistic. It almost felt like i was actually progressing with someone controlling Emi behind the screen. This is always a plus for me. It gets me more invested in the story.
Rin's role in this path is very substantial when she's not the main focus -Obviously I haven't done Rin's path yet, but she's objectively best girl. I'm gonna leave her for last since I know her path is the hardest to do, but as it is in Emi's path, I loved how she played her role of weird, interesting and oblivious best friend and her interactions with Hisao alone in this path had me rolling in the ground. It's like I could do just a compilation of them talking about nonsense when Emi's not around.
Misha's role, while short, does help the path substantially -It would be understandable she'd be the most realistically reasonable to understand Emi, since they are extremely similar if you discount the trauma. Both are cheery, loud and very intelligent when they want to be, yet still stubborn af. It just felt right for me to Misha being the one giving Hisao's advice in the other two endings.
Emi is a joy to be around -This isn't even a surprise, if you like playful teasing flirting, this path is just wonders, which is my case. I love to both say: "That's cute thank you" and be able to flip someone the middle finger off playfully to demonstrate affection and Emi's path is full of that. Her trauma was perfectly executed and her character development too, it reminded me a lot of me, I don't tend to ask for help much often because I want to be able to handle things on my own, just like Emi, but now being on the other side of the spectrum controlling Hisao, I will try to be more open to help. It inspired me to let some people in on what I do.
This path is kinda easy if I say so myself -You only get to screw this path up like two times to get the bad ending and it's in Act 3. I literally just went to the choice of life and death like: "I think if I go after her I won't get a lot of return or info out of her, plus she'd probably be pissed at me. I think talking to her mom is smarter, maybe she'll let me in on something as well. As I knew it was the exact right call to get a straight good ending, even when characters like Nurse said something like: "Oh, I'm surprised you didn't go after her, even though you made a heck of a smart move" and then I'm like: "Bitch, respect my choice, I am confident things will work out in the end and when they do, I'm just gonna laugh at Hisao's atupid inner voice who's saying that i did the wrong call". So, yeah, I got the good ending first try and the mid ending second, but every choice before her mom's house's choice is just irrelevant. You can choose whatever and you still wouldn't screw it up, which is great when Emi's path is by far the one people get the easier and the most.
Things I didn't like:
Hisao looking like he has only two brain cells when talking to Emi -Jesus christ, I was surprised Mutou even called Hisao a smart dude. He said so many dumb shit on this one that honestly doesn't fit as much as it would fit his Act 1 behavior. It truly doesn't look like the first act guy, if you take a closer look, but it's disguised really well, so I gave that a pass.
No Hanako -She's the only girl who's not in Emi's path and I was trying to get her path, it was just a slap in my face tbh at this point. It doesn't hinder the path for me but it makes me a little sad.
The Sports Shack Scene -I know it's supposed to be uncomfortable, but holy shit, I didn't think it was THAT uncomfortable. Especially since the last H scene still has anal involved and it's the best one in the path imo (No I didn't hate the scene just because it's "Let's fuck on my dad's death birthday", it felt earned and that's fine for me). The second H scene had me rolling in shame, especially since I still feel like Hisao was drawn kinda badly in that one. Not at all how I imagined people would draw him as.
Some of her sprites mismatch the descriptions Hisao has of her face -Sometimes Hisao would say things like "She's angry" and then she has a funny smile sprite. When she says "Get out of my house, Hisao!" Her face looks like she's ready to get in bed with him, I just thought that was kinda wtf
Lastly, the Yuuko subplot kinda went nowhere, so why have it in the first place -Like it was obvious that the book thief was Kenji, but I wanted to see if she would figure that out on her own, but they just kinda drop the whole storyline after the second time it's mentioned. I feel like it would have been way much interesting if it actually resulted in something apart from Emi's story that could steer us away from the drama a little bit.
FINAL VERDICT
This path is very good for a first run. It has its flaws, but it's objectively good for people starting the game. Next I'll do Hanako-Shizune-Lilly and lastly Rin. And I'll wait sometime before playing the game again to get it out of my brain for a little bit and start freshly on Hanako's actual path. This time I won't run, guys. I promise I will keep Hisao's heart from almost dying this time 🙏

Hi all - in the process of buying a new home and am having trouble deciding if I should buy down my interest rate.
The home won’t be built until October and I have an interest rate float down 30 days before settlement. Is it likely rates could hit 6.99 or lower by October of this year? Or should I spend the money to buy down now?

I always thought of this song being about a drug dealer, or a consumer being stopped and questioned if he used drugs, alcohol or similar substances and police being brutal and abusing their power. Now a very interesting line to me "is that the mouthwash in your eyes?" Mouthwash contains alcohol in it so a common excuse when people fail the breathalyzer is to say because of the mouthwash. So the cop sarcastically says "is that the mouthwash in your eyes?" refering to the drivers eyes being glazed over. This is a very clever line that I didn't understand the meaning of at first but now that I know what it's about it's hard not to point it out. Now we obviously know that the driver is at the side of the freeway in the car. My question is why is that? I think it's an easy assumption to make that the "Mr jack" is waiting to make a drug deal. But later in the song he mentions the time being "7am, came to take us away" line that kind of confuses me because this is the time when the trafic is the busiest so a drug deal awaiting to happen doesn't make much sense to me. Then the "little men big guns pointed at our heads" line. I'm not that knowledgable on this topic but from what I've gathered I saw that guns are not used in drug related stops and arrests. So then that makes me think that the Mr.Jack is not a drug dealer but a different kind of criminal. This one is I'm pretty sure the most common interpretation of this song but there are some other theories I saw going around.
Another theory someone had was that somebody, or a group of people had a flat tire and had to pull over. They're on the side of the freeway waiting or looking for mr.jack who could be their friend or possibly a tow truck so they can get back on the road. And cops stop by and help them out only to find out some drugs in their car, and that's why they get arrested. This seems like a fun theory but I don't think it's as likely to be the meaning as the first one I mentioned.
Another fun theory I saw was that "Mr.Jack" was the cop and he was waiting on the side of the freeway in the car waiting to pull someone over, I think the lines "Protectors on your back" "Lights are on your track" best support this theory. Then the "You must now face authority, you're nothing like me" I think this line talks about the misuse of the justice system and how the cops get away with so much stuff that they shouldn't be getting away it. That's why he says "you're nothing like me" since they get a lot more leeway in general.
This theory thinks of Mr.Jack being a metaphor for a car jacker, hence the name Mr.Jack. I like this one but it doesnt make sense to jack a car on the side of the freeway especially at 7 am which is the most busiest time of day for traffic like I said before so it doesn't really stick the landing. And police using their guns also doesn't quite line up so I don't think this one alligns with the story as much as the others do.
I'm not sure what to make of this, I know that a song can have multiple meanings but for me it doesn't really make sense as a complete timeline no matter which way you slice it. Tell me what you guys think about this I'm really interested what you have to say. This is one of my favorite songs lyrically and musically, but it's also very cryptic once you deep dive in. At first you assume it's just a pull over and police being brutal but once you start looking at the details it's not so easy to decipher exactly what's going on.

So this one will be a little long, but bear with me. Nobody else I know has the answers. I've been having RAM problems since late January and have gotten slightly worse since. That's where this all started from, but that's technically a different problem. Yesterday, after I was testing my computer's performance with a program recommended by a friend because I was having performance issues with games yesterday (probably due to the new NVidia driver and I hadn't rolled back yet), my computer started acting strange. I don't think it's the program itself, but I thought I'd mention it just in case someone here's like "Omg don't use that!". I received an error pop-up (which happens occasionally since the Memory problems started and it said "Fatal error detected" at the top of the window with the message: "Failed to extract _bz2.pyd: decompression resulted in return code -1!". Discord crashed either before or after this popup, so I just re-launched it, but it was asking me to sign in again (It's never done that). I signed in and changed my password just in case (to change my token for security reasons) but all of my settings were reset and every channel I visit sends me to the default channel for newly joined members. I noticed my C Drive was full (either before or after the Discord thing) when it had roughly 20-40GB beforehand. I tried cleaning up the disk and I cleaned up some site settings in Chrome, since I was told that YouTube needed more memory and that I was running out. Site settings was using 4.5GB, so I just cleared them all. It would've been too tedious to go through each one, since there were so many. Afterwards, I tried clicking on files in my C drive, but windows file explorer would freeze and I'd have to re-launch it. I checked my system restore points to check if I could go back, but the 2 made last week were gone (possibly due to low space?), so I just went to bed after moving files over to make space. I woke up and found out some sites weren't popping up in my search bar, so I went to check my history and found out most of my history was gone. It goes as far back as March, but there's plenty missing in between (one day only had like, 3 tabs open for example) and I was incredibly confused and devastated, cuz I was planning to go back and recover some tabs I lost a day or two ago. I did manually clear history in Chrome but only for the last hour or 24 hours. Keep in mind, I didn't touch anything in Opera GX besides trying to import bookmarks again, since it got reset too for some reason and there was absolutely no history at all prior to today for some reason. I don't know what to do or what even can be done. I'm defeated and at a loss. I only got this computer 2-3 years ago.

I was referred to neuro-ophthalmology from my ophthalmologist because he couldn’t figure out why my glasses couldn’t ever keep up with my declining vision, and I can’t keep migraines under control. The Oph and N-Op both ran a battery of visual tests as well as brain MRI and have not been able to find any cause for my symptoms other than a note of demyelination on my MRI.
I started doing some research on what demyelination meant and, among many other things, came across multiple sclerosis, and after researching every single thing I could find related to demyelination, the puzzle pieces of my symptoms fit MS closer than anything else I had read about, so I brought my concerns to my N-Op and she immediately told me it wasn’t MS without listening to my concerns or looking at any of my test results. She prescribed me medication for my migraines and ignored my vision concerns and scheduled a 3-month follow up with her nurse practitioner. Every 3 months, I have to increase my dosage on the migraine medication because it isn’t working. I ask about my vision, they still don’t know what is causing it. I ask about more information on what’s causing any of my symptoms, they still don’t know. I again mention my concerns about MS or any other possible inflammatory condition, they tell me no.
I have no other option for a neuro-ophthalmologist as she is the only one in my entire state.
I finally had a spinal tap to check my CSF, and after they ran that test I found out they STILL elected to skip the MS panel, but I called back and begged them to run it. I got my test results back today and found out they still only ran PART of it! I do not understand why they are refusing to listen to my concerns.
Can anyone here look at the lumbar puncture results and tell me if you see anything that backs up my concerns? I just got my results today and my doctor likely won’t get in touch with me to discuss them for over a week.

I'm new to the game and I basically play against myself when I have an hour in the evening, which usually means less than 20 squad points. I played Millennium Falcon against Vader in his TIE Advanced, as they're both 7 squad points with full loadout. The Falcon didn't hit once, which makes me think I don't know what I'm doing with it.
How would you loadout the Falcon against just Vader? (Note that I do not have Bistan, but only the rebel cards from this purchase and core set.)
For reference, Lando was pilot with Han, Chewie, engine upgrade and concussion missiles. Vader had fire control system, afterburner, shield upgrade, and lone pilot skill.
I'm open to any other advice.

I (42F) am in a fantasy football league with my siblings, father, cousins and close friends. We have a large and very competitive league. It's been going on for over a decade. We have our annual owner's meeting every year the 3rd Sunday of June, but have had it earlier only when no one would be available that weekend. The meeting is for rule changes and draft order. We also celebrate my brother, and our 4 other close friends who are in the leagues birthdays as they are all that week and fathers day. Kids and spouses are always included. I've been married for a decade and have a 7 year old. The league and the owners meeting has never been an issue.
My in laws (parent in laws and my 2 brother in laws and their families) are not present in our lives on a regular basis. His brothers and their families don't come to our daughters bdays or see us on holidays and mail checks instead. My parent in laws decided to move to FL permanently after our daughter was born. Then they decided to summer north where we all were and then last year decided they would no longer do that.
My parent in laws were last up in Nov 22. They saw my daughter once, and spent the wkend with my husband and I for a wedding. They were supposed to see my daughter the day before they left after she got out of school. The day off my MIL said she wanted my husband to take her and FIL to their hotel from his brothers so she could relax and she would see our kid another time. Thus breaking my daughters heart when she got out of school when she found out that daddy wasn't taking her to see them. Hubby was pissed.
I had a miscarriage in Oct 22 and other than my MIL, the rest of them acted like I was never pregnant and questioned why I wasn't at my niece's (husband's brothers daughter) bridal shower after just recovering days before from complications.
My MIL text me a passive aggressive paragraph telling me they will be here from the 14 till the 24th and want to see us more than once. First off FU lady. We always make time for them, but it's them who always have plans. It's them who for some reason prefer to have each kid visit them separately. I responded to the text that we are wide open after our kid is out of school/I'm done with work, and that the only day that I'm not available is the 17th of June but my husband and daughter would be free. Apparently that was wrong because she contacted my husband right away and he wont tell me what she said.
He gave me crap about how not seeing them for work is one thing...but I retorted that I've had these plans set in stone, that we already had to move the date cause it was the only one thst worked and I'm not barring him on that date from seeing them. I also stated that I'm not canceling all of my plans for their entire stay in case they want to see us.
This was 2 weeks ago.
So onto how I may be the AH Tonight he told me his brother said they were having a father's day party and bday party for his dad that weekend but didn't know which date. I reiterated that I have plans that day but he and our daughter would obviously be going to his brothers house. He said but it's his dad's bday. He isnt happy and hasn't spoken to me since.
All he wants is his family's attention and they never give it to him or our family unless it suits them or for Facebook picts.
But I feel like I am the AH for not putting what he wants first. But to be honest if this was a death in the family it would be one thing or a serious family emergency, it would be different. I have a hard time prioritizing his family in any way when they make no effort with us at all. But maybe I can't see that I'm wrong.

I f18 need some advice. My bf ( also 18 ) and I have been dating for nearly 4 and 1/2 months. It's been rocky to say the least. Within the first 24 hours of us getting together, I received death threats from his ex. She mocked my disability ( I have seizures ) and criticized my appearance, saying and I quote " I look like a down syndrome [email protected] ". I know, she's lovely. She threatened to burn my house with my dog and disabled mum in. At one point, I told him that I felt there were three people in the relationship and how I was worried over his ex that he continued to talk to. It lead to a massive argument and left me feeling like 2nd best to her. ( does that make me a green eyed monster of jealousy? ) eventually after a while of arguing and my mental health spiraling, he finally blocked her. Or so I thought at the time. She then sent me messages on another account of hers and threatened me again and called me toxic for asking him to block her. I've made it clear, he can talk to anyone but I don't feel comfortable him speaking to her as she emotionally manipulated him and was just a horrid person. A few weeks ago, he was feeling unwell and wanted me to reply to his friend ( who is also friends with the ex😬 ). We have both mine and his fingerprints on each phone, we have always been open like that. I replied to the friend and saw 8 ball pool at the top of the messages. I was confused as he says he doesn't really like the game and only really plays it because of me. I got curious and scrolled up. I saw he said he was speaking to the ex in the chat. I was fuming to say the least. I waited, and pulled him aside and asked if had been in contact with her. HE LIED AND SAID HE HADNT SPOKEN TO HER SINCE HE BLOCKED HER. I revealed what I saw and he tried to spin it on me for snooping. I quickly shut that down and told him we had always been open and he agreed. I told him the only reason he was annoyed is because he had been caught. I made it clear that I felt betrayed as he lied to me which is my biggest no no. He then revealed he was communicating with her on other platforms, where he had previously blocked her. His excuse is he needed someone to talk to. He eventually did admit he knew what he did was wrong but he didn't seem too apologetic about it all. We had had an argument a few days before hand and I was mentally trying to recover, so we didn't speak much not to mention I've been quite busy recently. He then said he hadn't technically lied as I had found out. I won't lie, I was really low and debated self harming, which I haven't done in a long time. This is has understandably really annoyed my mum. Now, he knows all of this and basically shrugged it off and made it clear he wouldn't block her. She remains unblocked. During the first few weeks of the relationship, there was a lot of pinching from him, which left me with a lot of bruises that concerned my mum. After many conversations, he finally stopped ( mostly ) pinching me. But, then started squeezing and bending my hands, especially if I pointed out flaws on my body. ( I had surgery on my right hand 18 months ago due to a lump on my wrist, so this can be really painful )Now, I'm a curvy girl. I'm what could be classed as fat, something which I do say sometimes. I'm proud of my body, and I'm not going to sugar coat my weight. ( pun intended ). Fat is just a word and it DOES NOT define me. Now, I tried to communicate about the pinching, which was as useful as a chocolate tea spoon with him. So instead, I started pinching back and when he would say ow that hurt id respond by saying now do you understand my point. This has seemed to be effective. It's not something I'm proud of but I'm not going to play helpless victim and tolerate being hurt. Another issue I have is I spoke to his mum about some of my worries. He didn't like that. And after one of our arguments he cut himself. Then after about two days was making jokes about it to me, and showed me. Before this, I had no knowledge he had hurt himself.This put me, again, in a bad mental space. I tell my mum everything. She knows everything that is going on and thinks I need to leave while I still can. It isn't all bad though. He can be really sweet. We go on nice long walks and he's got this habit of kissing my hand, which makes me melt. He went on holiday and brought back the cutest bear that had a lovely personal message on. He is respectful of boundaries in the bedroom which is of course really important but more so with me due to my past. And in his own way I really do think he cares about me. I love his big goofy smile and I really do think we could work. When things are just me and him it's great but when we are around others, even if it's family he can be a right muppet. But I trust my mums opinion. So now I'm in a catch 22. I don't really want to lose him but I don't want the relationship to become toxic. I love him and his family. His family are pretty much on my side and keep telling him he has to sort stuff out.
I haven't obviously managed to explain everything, as there is a lot to unpack. But that's the general twist of our relationship. There is some things that should be noted. I was SAd by a friend of the family when I was 8 and it continued until I was about 13. My mum found out after I tried to take my own life when I was 15, before she became sick. It is something that does very much still impact me. I suffer with anxiety, depression and PTSD because of it. I haven't been close to men since it happened until my bf. This is my first relationship with a man. I have previously dated women. I mentioned earlier my mum is disabled. She nearly died when I was 15 and I'm a young carer because of this and haven't spent all my time with him like he sometimes wants. When I go over to his, I set off at about 7, as I normally cook tea at home. I then normally leave his at about 1pm the next day so I'm not home at an unreasonable time, so I can help out with things that need doing. Another thing is my dad died when I was two, so there isn't a lot of support. His dad died in early December 2022, something that is still quite recent and very much impacting him. I do wonder if that's why he behaves like this. But, being said, it's no excuse. And he refuses to get help, which I have said he needs to do.
I am worried he will find this and kick off for exposing private things as he has done previously when I have told my family why I'm so stressed but I don't know what to do. He told me it's private stuff and he doesn't want everyone knowing his personal business. To an extent I understand. But confiding in my family isn't like I am calling him all the names under the sun for the sake of it. It's people I know, love and trust.

I guess all that's left is; am I pushing him too much and making something out of probably nothing/am I the a-hole? And is this relationship worth the fight because right now, I really don't know. Hello Reddit! It took me a little bit to move forward with this post but what do I have to lose by simply asking? Not a thing, I could only gain something by doing so, someone once told me closed mouths don't get fed.
Hello, I am looking for a mentor who can provide guidance for starting and managing a successful business. It has been my dream since childhood, but after my father's suicide in 2018, I lost motivation and was in a dark place for sometime only existing simply hoping to make it through the day one day at a time. However, I don't want to let his death hold me back anymore, and I'm ready to start living my life again and I dont want one tragedy to prevent me from living the life i want.
I would prefer a mentor who is located in Utah to allow for more direct interaction and possible face-to-face meetings. However, virtual mentorship is also acceptable. I believe that virtual communication only provides about 60% of the information and overall value compared to in-person conversations, even if they are infrequent. This is due to the lack of non-verbal communication cues. I would prefer to absorb as much knowledge from whoever would be willing to share it and learn everything that I'm able to from someone instead of leaving half the wisdom I could garner from them on the table.
Coming from a family that is not very wealthy and with no history of entrepreneurship only employment, I have had little to no exposure to the world of business. This is why I am seeking a mentor - someone who can provide advice and guidance, share their experiences, and help me navigate the challenges that come with starting and running a business.
I would like to learn everything from the basics of setting up a business to the more complex aspects of running and growing it successfully. As I said before, I want to start living my life again and am motivated and ready to put in the work necessary to make this endeavor a success, even if that means I have to fail many times before I am able to do so. By finding someone who is willing to mentor me, I am hoping to minimize the chances of multiple failures since much of what I have read on entrepreneurship has to do with perseverance. I am going into this expecting that I will fail at some point and not let it stop me. Currently, I have a full-time job and occasionally work on weekends because the company I work for is very busy at the moment. Therefore, scheduling may be difficult at first however, if I find the right mentor and have complete trust in them, I am willing to resign from my current job and pursue a full-time career as advised by them, when the time is right and they think I am ready. However, I refuse to leave the company I currently work for high and dry; they have done right by me, and they deserve the same in return, so I won't leave without them having found a replacement first.
If you are an experienced business owner or have significant experience in this field, and are willing to share your knowledge and insights, I would be extremely grateful. If you believe you can help me on my journey and are willing to do so, please let me know. I am a quick learner and consider myself intelligent, but at 27, I don't consider myself wise yet. As the saying goes, "A fool thinks himself to be wise, but a wise man knows himself to be a fool."

Hello there, my name is Bino (21M), your friendly neighborhood DM from Germany! I have been regularly DMing for the past 1.5 years and I'm on the search for a new (and possibly for a long time) party member to play with!
The important infos:
Time: The session is usually every second Friday, starting at 18:45 (UTC+2 because of daylight savings) and usually takes 2,5 - 4 hours, depending on me or the group. We play over Roll20 and use Discord for talking and everything else.
Age should be above 16, everyone in the group is 19-21 male.
Size: We are 3 players and 1 DM so far
Microphone quality: Please have a decent enough microphone, with which we (the other players) don't hear background noise/ close to none. It would be greatly appreciated.
The campaign is already ongoing for half a year now and you will be joining in the late mid-section of it. I expect this campaign to still go for 4 sessions, +- 2 sessions, depending on the party.
We have a healthy mix of roleplay and combat (not so much exploration, as it is mostly an urban setting, but that will change with my next campaign).

The setting and what happened so far (This will be mainly player knowledge and to pique your interest, we will talk about PC knowledge during character creation):

The main location of the campaign is the city Oron-Zenthral, located in the centre of The Old Continent. Consisting of 6 islands flying over a mountain, it is a brawling hotpot of people, where rivalry for power can be seen every day.
The players met at a pier of the sky-port district, where a woman was running away from a dragonborn. A killing blow was landed on her and she let go a black stone. The party tried to help her, but she had died. They now battled the dragonborn, who was a mercenary and wanted the stone for payment and later on interrogated him. They then let him dissolve in acid.
Next the party went to a magic shop in the district and waited at the plaza nearby, because that's where the trade between the dragonborn and his client would have gone down. They chase a noticeable woman with her 2 guards, but she escapes and one of her guards falls off of the edge of the island. Wanting to interrogate the last guard in a quiet corner, the group gets ambushed and almost killed. The warforged of the party recognizes the opposing ambushers as comrades the dragonborn has told them of, but they have to let them escape. Badly beaten and thoroughly bruised, they go their INN, to find rest. The next day, one of the party sees a letter sitting on a winfowsill and opens it. The letter is from the Family Draw, a local noble family, who deals in intelligence and other mercenary work. The family offers the 3 of them a trade: The family gets to experiment on the stone, in exchange the party gets that info, protection and other work if they so desire. The players accept by meeting the contact person in "The Hive", who brings them to the family, where the group meets a researcher of the family. The old man of drow descent tells them, that for the experiments to commence, he needs 3 items, of which the party gets 2, involving a heist in a library and a dungeon crawl in the city-sewers.
Mr. Nazach (the researcher) assembles his machine and finds out various information and even a legend around this magical jewel (slightly abbreviated): "Two young brothers, silver and gold respectively, once fought over the Jewel Of Dragons, fighting so fiercely, that they split a mountain in half. Being in such a battle-rage, an unknown party could sneak into the battle and steal the jewel". The party also learned, that combined with the "Crown Of Dawn", the jewel and the crown would become the Crown Of Dragons, which is a powerful item, which lets you open up portals to other realms and mind-control masses of people. Following this information, a party member (I'm looking at you Ziraelle) gently cast Sleep on the old gentleman, bringing him to sleep and giving the party a window to flee the building, where the family lives.
The next step was, to steal the Crown Of Dawn from the famous church of the city, where the first and only king of the city lies dormant (dead, but dormant sounded better). The party entered the cathedral and swiftly got out again, by setting a nearby stable on fire! Out in a nearby alley, where they wouldn't be spotted, they took out the crown and the party's sorcerer (looking at you again, Ziraelle) quickly destroyed it. Why you ask? Because the crown that was being displayed, was a fake!
But inside the crown was an old note:"Dear brother Albion, as you may have sensed, this is a fake. I have taken the Crown of Dawn for myself and will not give it back. Bring me the Jewel Of Dragons and we shall be siblings again. You know where to find me. Signed DG" Who could this man with the initials be?!
After having such an exhausting day, the party decided to rest and research about the newly found letter. Descending onto a lower island, the one party member spotted a fire on the island below: It was an Inn, in which they slept last night. 2 of the members rush in, the other 2 try to help outside. During this encounter, one party member sadly died in the fire, whilst the other 3 barely escaped death.
After a week in the local hospital, all 3 recovered well and set out to finish their plans, now with one member less.
After looking in the city library again (the same they stole from) and going through a city register of all citizens, the party's monk couldn't find any information regarding DG, but instead for Albion, which sadly didn't help much in the current situation... They now went to a contact the monk "I'Mok" had and went to the slums of the city on the peak of the mountain. There, they had a barfight with criminals and got little information. After sleeping (heavily drunk) through the night, they set out for adventure the next day: They decided to go in underground of the slums, trying to find the info they desire there. Which is where we are right now! The party of 3 entered a mining shaft, which was a tip, which the bartender gave them and went right in. They just traversed a pit of quicksand and are now standing in a corridor, where mystery and uncertainty lies ahead.
