So, I made a post here a bit ago about my ethnicity and my place in this religion, and everyone was so helpful, thank you all. Another question for other Norse Pagans I had was, how do you think we could better explain places like South America, Asia and Africa? I know a lot of Vikings stayed mostly in the north, but I always wished there was more explanation of the south. I always came up with ideas of how Jötunn could be around areas like Africa, maybe with darker skin and could shift into creatures like lions and rhinos rather than eagles and wolves. But then again, idk if it’s my place to come up with stuff like that. I always thought it wasn’t too far off to think that Odin had visited places like that, and for example, the Incan or Egyptian gods were just Odin but with a different name (not to mention the fact Odin has many, many names, so I don’t think it would be too far off) then again, Is it my place to think of stuff like this? I don’t want pagans like me who have history in places like South America, Africa or India to feel left out or less important than people who live in places like Norway, Sweden or Germany. Sometimes it can kinda feel that way, feeling like the place my heart belongs (Peru) isn’t a place covered with snow that has arctic wolves, reindeer and ravens, but a place with llamas, crocodiles and jaguars, pepper trees and español. Are we as important? Is there a way my religion can explain that environment and it’s creatures, it’s people? (Sorry if this sounds like a rant, but any advice is appreciated)

If you don’t already know,(in my experience) ”popping your neck” becomes much more difficult after a decompression surgery involving c1-c4. but I have found 3 different methods of doing it each with limited results.
Method 1 roll your neck for 6-8 rotations,this method is effective but is not satisfying . Opposed to one big “pop” you have hundreds of near non-detectable pops.
Method 2 place you hands around where you jaw meets your neck and act like your ripping off your head, cantering your head side to side increases the likelihood of it working. This method is extremely unreliable but very satisfying, with one or 2 big pops.
Method 3 get a gulf ball, lay on your floor and roll the golf ball up and down your neck. This method doesn’t release any pops but eases neck pain significantly.
I’m no doctor, so take this with a grain of salt.I encourage anyone to share anything they find helpful when popping their necks, pre and post op.

I recently rescued a reactive dog that we’ve been working on with a trainer and behaviorist. He’s the sweetest dog but was raised during Covid with some bad trainers that used choke and shock collars.
Anyway, I walk him during off hours for everyone’s sanity. I walk out of my condo and this man jay-walks across our VERY BUSY street with his demon chihuahua directly towards my dog. My dog then freaks out and proceeds to lunge almost chomping the chihuahua’s neck.
I apologize and tell him my dog’s a reactive rescue. This man proceeds to tailgate me aggressively for the entire block as my dog is constantly looking back while I try to get him to keep moving.
I turn to the man and tell him to give me some space given my dog’s behavioral issues. The man proceeds to tell me I should’ve crossed the street when I saw him coming, like what??? I’m going to cross a busy 3 lane road just because you don’t know how to properly walk a dog in the city? Christ.

Is it just me who thinks these things need a nerf maybe I’m just bad at this game. But seriously the fact that they heal at the rate they do is absurd and really frustrating to deal with. Anyway if there is a better way of killing them that isn’t a salt morning star please let me know.

I just wanted to drop a line to say I wish somebody had clued me (38m) into the fact that so many posts here are actually cam girls or scammers or, perhaps worse, real folk feigning long-term interest just to up and vanish like a fart in the wind. I have been making my own pizza from scratch lately. I got the recipe off a Basics by Babish episode (which I believe was inspired by/copied from J. Kenji Lopez-Alt) and it's simple: 500g bread flour, 16g kosher salt, 1/4 teaspoon active dry yeast, 350g water, mix until no dry clumps remain, let sit 24 hours, then bake on an olive oil coated sheet pan with associated toppings.
This creates a thick dough which is light and tender, which is exactly the size and texture I want. It's like eating pizza off a breadstick - a plain breadstick, thus the "meh". And since the dough is so thick, even flavorful sauce and toppings don't quite balance the basically flavorless crust, if that makes sense?
I'm happy with my homemade sauce and toppings. I just want to add some more flavor to the dough. I tried adding some garlic powder to the dough for #science, and...yeah, don't do that. I love garlic and would probably be happy with just lots of garlic flavoring, but I'm open to other non-spicy suggestions that don't destroy my dough.
I'm a noob at bread making but I do have a stand mixer, so I'd be fine with a different dough recipe made the day of that incorporates butter or fat or something.
I'm definitely not worried about a diet-friendly pizza, here. Give me delicious yumminess please!

This is an update (hopefully the last update!) in regard to the "Battery Danger" message I experienced. Here are the prior posts:

Update 1 on 15 May 2023
BLUF:
I now have the car back with a new battery. The EV Concierge is reimbursing my fuel expenses while I had the rental car (which was also taken care of).
Potentially helpful background:
I traveled out of state to find & buy the Bolt EUV (with S&S and SC). I purchased the car in Feb 2023 and DCFC'd it 4 times on the drive home immediately after purchase. Since I've been home, I charged up to 80% nightly with the 32A / 240V charger that came with the car.
When this event occurred, I still had about 140 miles remaining even though the picture shows "Low".
What I learned when I picked up the car:
The car was towed in, horn still going off, on 10 May 2023. The tech disconnected the negative on the battery to get it to stop and parked the car in the far corner of the lot. The next day, Thursday 11 May 2023, the tech saw error code P0BBD (Hybrid Battery Pack Voltage Variation Exceeded Limit).
Apparently what happened here is the battery has contactors and all of those disengaged as a safety mechanism when the car saw this code. The horn goes off - possibly with the hope of draining the 12V battery if no one is around. If this were to happen while driving, the assumption is you'd still get the notice and you'd slowly lose propulsion power - so you'd have enough time to pull over and gtfo.
Anyway - the tech followed diagnostics and a bulletin had him contact Technical Assistance Center (TAC) for further direction. TAC had him put together a report and scheduled the local field engineer to come out ASAP which ended up being Monday morning. The field engineer had a device that plugged into the engineering port (on passenger side) to stream data to engineers in Detroit. It was then decided a battery replacement would be the resolution and the bad battery would be carefully packaged, crated, and sent to LG.
When the new battery was installed, the coolant was also replaced and the battery was programmed remotely by the engineers in Detroit (I think).
The tech also put the car on their DCFC which performs an isolation test and rebalances cells. He said it's free to use and it wouldn't hurt to do it monthly (the battery doesn't need to be at a certain level - just needs room to charge).
Let's get nerdy:
I got a copy of the diagnostic report it showed the following:

• Battery 1 & 8 @ 3.80V
• Battery 9 @ 3.85V
• The rest of the 32 batteries were at either 3.82V or 3.83V

He pointed out battery 9 as the outlier and said especially since it's in the middle of the pack so it's not near anything that would cause the increase in voltage.
I looked up how thermal runaway happens here are 3 possibilities:

• Overcharging: Charging a lithium-ion battery beyond its recommended voltage limit can cause the deposition of metallic lithium on the anode. This can create microscopic metal dendrites or "whiskers" that can penetrate the separator between the electrodes, causing an internal short circuit and leading to thermal runaway.
• Overdischarging: Discharging a lithium-ion battery below its recommended voltage limit can also lead to thermal runaway. Overdischarge causes the formation of copper or other metallic deposits on the cathode, which can cause internal short circuits upon subsequent charging.
• Elevated temperatures: Lithium-ion batteries are sensitive to high temperatures. Exposure to elevated ambient temperatures, excessive heat generated during charging or discharging, or external heat sources can increase the internal temperature of the battery. If the heat generated exceeds the battery's ability to dissipate it, a thermal runaway reaction can occur.
  • This can happen on batteries with higher voltages because they will discharge faster (more watts / more heat) compared to the other batteries.

One of the key reactions that can occur during thermal runaway is the breakdown of the electrolyte. The electrolyte in a lithium-ion battery is typically a flammable organic solvent that contains lithium salts. When the battery undergoes thermal runaway, the high temperature can cause the electrolyte to decompose or vaporize, releasing flammable gases such as ethylene and propylene. These gases can further contribute to the heat buildup and increase the severity of the thermal runaway event.
As the temperature continues to rise, the decomposition of the electrolyte and other active materials in the battery can accelerate. For example, the breakdown of the cathode material, which often includes a nickel-based compound, can release oxygen. Oxygen can react with other battery components, such as the electrolyte or the graphite anode, resulting in additional heat generation and the production of more flammable gases.
The release of flammable gases, combined with the high temperature, can create a self-sustaining chain reaction within the battery. The heat generated by the exothermic reactions can further accelerate the decomposition of the electrolyte and other materials, releasing more gases and causing a feedback loop. This feedback loop leads to an increase in temperature, pressure, and the release of additional flammable gases, exacerbating the severity of the thermal runaway event.
In closing:
I learned a lot and ordered an OBD reader from Amazon.
Bonus
The tech informed me if I were to try to change my own 12V battery whenever it needs it, there are some contactors that disengage and make a noise when the negative side is disconnected (always remove the negative side first). When putting in the new battery, if the contactors don't re-engage, you may need to have it towed in.

Hi everybody, I have a pretty big record collection and I try my best make good use of them. I play a record almost everyday, even if it's just a song or two. I love my records very much but since I have so many, I often have trouble deciding which records to play.
Sometimes I'll wake up in a Beach Boys mood so I'll spin some Beach Boys, but then The Beatles will be staring at me telling me, "Hey, remember us?" Then I'll remember that I haven't played Tarkus by Emerson Lake & Palmer in a long time which then makes me think about going through a progressive rock playlist. Then I'll start thinking about starting with Pink Floyd, but then start wondering if I should go for early 1967 Floyd or slap on Meddle and call it a day. But then thinking about 1967 makes me think about Sgt. Pepper and since it's June, it would make sense to give it a spin, but I'm still in a Beach Boys mood and don't really feel like slapping Pepper on the turntable yet.
Then at the end of the day, The Beach Boys 2020 has been the only record on the platter all day! Long story short, sometimes I have trouble deciding what records to play, what do you guys do? Somedays I feel like a groovy DJ from the 70's spinning record after record on this continuous epic playlist, but then somedays I end up playing side 2 of a record on repeat throughout the day because I just can't think of what to play. I also play records while I work on important things like college work and usually I end up going through 3 or 4 LPs like butter, but then when I have free time just to listen, this is where I start trying to make the most of my free time by choosing the best records to play, but end up overthinking it and keep side 2 of Miles Davis's Milestones on repeat. Let me know your thoughts, how do you make your playlists?

Agila landed hard. She had dug her heels into the loose gravel of the ravine as much as she could during her descent, but it was a long way down. Didn't hear a snap, she thought. Good sign. She stood up and looked out into the darkness of the Green sea. The trees at this level of the forest were no taller than those outside this cursed place, but the bark at their bases was coated in a strange turquoise moss. In between and among other plants she did not recognize, ferns danced and wobbled in a peculiar fashion. Just like..
"Sea weed," Feraz said, landing dexterously beside her. "I worked on a skimmer airship for a time, harvesting it from above the canopy. Healers pay well for it." Agila blinked. The man was only slightly taller than she was, salt peppering his short beard and shoulder length brown hair.
"What did they use it for?" she asked.
"Never got the chance to ask," he replied, kneeling down and stripping a thin piece of bark from a sapling to tie back his hair. That's a good idea, Agila thought, and did the same. Her hair was longer than his, and a bright fiery red. A shot rang out above them, and another body tumbled to the forest floor. Feraz scanned his hazel eyes over the forest in front of them and continued.
"Whole airship crew got nicked in transport," he said, sighing. "We all knew the risk." He must have been desperate, Agila thought. Harvesting from the Green Sea without the blessing of the crown was treason. She was no stranger to desperation, and she knew the advantage of numbers in situations like these.
"Agila," she said, holding out her hand. Feraz broke his stare on the forest and looked over at her hand, a smile creeping up on the corner of his mouth. "I know who you are, Darkmoon," he replied, then reached out and clasped her hand. "Feraz. I take it this means you're open to a partnership?" His smile remained, but Agila could sense something barely masked in his expression. His hand began to shake before he withdrew it. He's terrified.
"We have a better chance together," she said. "Terms?"
Feraz tried and failed to contain the relief in his sigh. He flinched as another shot rang out above them, followed by the sickening thud as the body of the final prisoner hit the bottom of the ravine. Seven prisoners. Feraz and Agila alone had been brave enough to face the forest.
Or foolish enough not to choose the bullet.
"We keep our hands to ourselves," Feraz started, listing his first term to their partnership. "Except in cases of medical distress, of course," he added.
"Agreed," Agila said, nodding and feeling more than her fair share of relief. It wasn't that Feraz was ugly; he was clearly strong, and his high cheeks and square jaw were visible beneath his beard. He was, however, probably twice her age. She was happy to have one less monster to worry about in the depths.
"We stay within earshot of each other," Agila said, listing her first term. "Getting separated would probably get us both killed." Feraz nodded, returning his eyes to continue surveying their surroundings. "Agreed," he said. There was a moment of silence.
"Anything else?" Agila asked. Feraz met her eyes, uncertainty peeking out from behind his mask of stoicism.
"We share resources, and keep no secrets," he said, hesitantly. Agila winced. "No relevant secrets," she countered. "If it pertains to our shared survival in even a remote sense," she said, reaching her hand out again to seal their contract. "I can agree to that." Feraz stared at her for a moment in contemplation, then reached out and shook her hand.
"With the prowess as my witness I vow to uphold these terms," he said. Agila had heard the phrase only once before, but luckily remembered the appropriate response.
"With the prowess as my witness, I vow the same."

While considering that violence against members of the LGBTQ+ community is at an all time high, and carrying something such as pepper spray for self defense would be highly recommended, under no circumstances should a firearm be brought to a pride event.
It will simply be used to create even more rhetoric for the Right against queer people, allowing them to promote even more violence against us. And while it would be a good idea for American queers to arm themselves in case if severe civil unrest, it has no place at Pride.
