Temp plate lost - half way across country

As the title reads, I am halfway across the country and I lost my temp plate. Picked up a trailer in OR (USA) and am NH bound, problem is we drove through a severe thunderstorm in Nebraska and lost our plate at some point. What can I do? I don’t have time to wait for a temp plate to be mailed out, I haven’t registered the trailer yet as I have not made it back to my home state either. I have a copy of the CO and my purchase and sales agreement with me. I would like to NOT be pulled over… any advice?

Hello Reddit Community. First time I’m posting via this Reddit channel and I could use your advice! Your insights and comments will be appreciated
Here is my situation:
I own a condo in NY (Queens borough) since 2002 that I’ve lived in and still live in for most of those years. From that perspective its been good for me. However, I purchased a condo specifically to have flexibility with renting when and if I needed to. I had moved out for a few years but had to return and I then had to deal with my tenant who would not get out and so it turned into a whole eviction process. An eye opening process especially here in NY.
I know that I want to move on from living in the condo as I have contemplated a change for a while. I’ve lived here many years and feel its just time for a change. Additionally, my immediate family who live in pretty close proximity to me (Parents & brother) are all moving to Florida soon. Being close to them was a pretty good reason to be nearby but with them leaving, that’s one less reason to stay where I’m located specifically. With that said, I have been on the fence about my options:
#1) Sell the Condo – Sell it outright and use the proceeds to rent temporarily somewhere until housing prices cool and buy then or buy investment property
#2) Rent the Condo – This would mean I move out, buy a new house but keep the condo and rent it again
In either scenario, I would be moving to Long Island, NY to be closer to my kids. There are pros and cons for each option which I will spell out below. I have been leaning towards a sell and getting out before what seems like an eventual downturn in the market. I want to make a decision by June2023 which is less than a week away
Note: Refinanced to a better rate when 20 yrs was left on mortgage to a 20 yr loan (rate of 3.875%)

Decision - Keeping Condo & Rent It
Pros
- Through Rental, tenant will pay off my mortgage over time (10 years remain)
- In 5 years when the mortgage is down to half amount for example, I will prob have the flexibility to just pay the remainder outright and have a unit free and clear
- The maintenance costs are a bit crazy to me but not necessarily out of the norm; There is an assessment that has just been levied for some major repairs and a 10 year loan has been taken out to do the repairs and minimize the per unit owner cost to a manageable size; That assessment is increasing maintenance to $1,256 p/month. A lot more than my PITI costs combined.
- The condo charges a $250 sublet fee for renting out my unit; That would bring my total monthly expense over $2600; Based on what I researched I could get for rents in this area, not sure I can get $2600; Even if I could I would just be breaking even with no cash flow; Wont include amount needed for potential vacancy; The sublet fee kills my flexibility
Decision - Sell Condo
Pros
- Would probably get top dollar on sale of home selling now; if there is a downturn it can be MANY years before I can get the money I would be able to get now (anticipate $425k to $450k)
- Sell and use part of the money to buy new home for myself and/or use the money on alternate investment(s)
- Keep the money liquid for opportunities that come up in the next 1 to 2 years
- Free myself from the politics of the condo board and how the complex operates; A lot of the issues are financial in that over the years money has been collected and not well managed or spent which is why HOA fee is so high; this provides a level of inflexibility on managing expenses which I have limited control over
- Don’t have that much left on mortgage; selling now would mean investing elsewhere via new long term mortgage at todays higher interest rates (albeit at smaller mortgage amt since I would be able to put down a larger down pymt); Additionally, at todays market prices, I would not be able to get a unit like this one for the price I paid over 2 decades ago and for the interest rate I have now
- I have been wanting to build a real-estate portfolio and my thought has been that this would be my 1st unit in that portfolio and I should keep it & build from there; Selling would mean starting from scratch instead of building; However is this Condo Unit really a good investment? I'm doubting that based on numbers

Components can be hard to source in large quantities, especially now that PC sales are on the rise with everyone working from home. I am exhausted. I am wired. I am hungry. The bronchitis from a month ago is back and tearing up my lungs. My body is in full on revolt. I am deleriously, ecstatically happy, and for the first time in a very long time I look at the future not with fear, or with indifference, but with hope and excitement. The last week may well have been one of the best weekends of my life. I am bursting with so much joy and love of the beauty of the world and the people in it, and gratitude for the people in my life and the gifts they have shared with me, that I can barely encompass it.
For nigh on a decade, I have predominantly been motivated by fear. Fear that if I didn't fix what had gone wrong in my marriage, I was a bad person. Fear tht if I didn't change in the way my husband needed me to to become the person he needed me to be, I would lose him, and it would show me to be a bad person. Fear that if I lost him, I would lose everything that mattered, I would be alone, unloved, unworthy of love.
Fear. Fear may be the mind-killer. It may be the little death that brings total obliteration. But it's a great motivator. Through long, painstaking, difficult effort, three steps forward, two steps back, I ground out a new me. A me with skills i'd never had, with a capacity for self-reflection and acceptance that I could never have conceived in my twenties. A me who (unlike twenties me) could stand for what I wanted and take the risk of loss, but also a me who (unlike the me of my early 40s) could be flexible and compromise rather than clinging for dear life to the boundaries that I'd carved in stone because I hadn't had any and could no longer tolerate hteir absence. A me that could blend self-care and compassion and care for others. A me who could be open with almost anyone about almost anything, but who didn't need to force that openness on people who didn't want it or couldn't share it.
It took me too long; I changed in the way my husband needed me to, but too late, and by then he needed something else, and the person he needed had become incompatible with the person I needed to be. But we both loved each other so much that we kept trying, and it didn't work, because it couldn't work. I grew into myself in order to save my marriage, and in the process lost it, and it sucks, but it's ok.
And yet, still, in the year since we agreed to stop trying and transmute the deep love we have into each other into a friendship (instead of a failing attempt at a partnership) --- in that year, every intrusive thought, every self-talk on long walks, every middle of the night ranting at myself when I cannot sleep, has been about my marriage, about the feelings from it that were never resolved and which likely can never be resolved. I have been stuck, half in the door to the relationship, half out, unable to move, or progress, or imagine any future --- the future I had hung my hat on for decades was gone, and while that decision was right by the time we made it, it meant there was nothing. A good job, a great circle of friends, a loving family household, sure, all of those are great, but they're no basis for building a future in the absence of the relationship that has been the focus of my adult life; nothing is such a basis.
At Coachella this year, a little bit before the start of Monolink's set, I ate some mushrooms. I peaked during the amazing visuals of Eric Prydz's set, enjoyed the acute comedown during Calvin Harris, stayed up all night, euphoric as fuck. It was a great time.
But --- i've been on the outskirts of rave culture for long enough to know that psychedelics are not just for partying. I had an intention: it is time to close the door, to be fully outside, to let the past be the past. I want to maintain a friendship, sure, but it has to be a friendship among friendships, not a primary friendship, and I have to just let the intrusive thoughts and the feelings and the what ifs go.
So the next night, still in the residual euphoria, I looked out across the crowd at the massive robot statues on the grounds, and they became security guards, blocking the door. And even now, a month later, when the intrusive thoughts come, the guards are there, tall and bright in my mind, warning me away. Do not enter, they say. The path is barred. Once in a while they don't succeed, but the overwwhelming majority of the time they do, and the intrusive thoughts have reduced.
I came home from Coachella knowing I had done it: I had hacked my mind, successfully, and the ensuing month --- a month where I had the worst cold in a decade, and bronchitis, and the most stressful work project since Borland kicked my ass to the curb so many years ago --- has proven it. The euphoria got lost in the cold, the stress of the project was brutal and overwhelming --- to the point where I got called out, in a way, specifically because the way I was interacting with coworkers was drawing complaints --- but the security guards are still there, a seemingly permanent addition to my cognitive repertoire.
But still, I could not see a future. Just an endless present, comfortable but unsatisfying, stretching until I die.
I'd been toying with the idea of going to another festival, Lightning in a Bottle --- an electronic music festival with hippie-spiritual aspects run by the people who run a specially curated stage at Coachella (the same stage I went to to bawl my eyes out after Porter Robinson's set this year) --- for years, but it never felt right, and I didn't want to go without a crew. (I increasingly don't want to go without a crew, but that's a tale for another day). This year, as I was still riding the euphoria from Coachella, things coalesced: some friends were going, I could camp with them, if I went this year, I'd have a crew. So I bought a ticket, took the time off work, and then promptly put the whole thing aside to focus on 70 hour work weeks while recovering from a terrible sickness.
I wasn't sure I was going to use psychedelics until I got there; my mindset in most of May has been ... incompatible with successful hacking or, honestly, joy. But I stepped onto the festival grounds on Wednesday and --- festivals are such a muscle memory for me that i was instantly refilled with the joy of the last festival, and the one before it, and the one before it; when i am at a festival it is as though i am at all festivals i have ever been to, one continuous time, the energy stretching across and among them, and it hit me, i was home.
(This didn't work last year at Hog Farm Hideaway or at California World Music Fest, and it's curious to me why, but that too is a topic for another day).
We set up camp -- me, my friends, one of their friends, some of her friends --- and started the weekend. The festival is sprawling (my campsite was at least a mile, possibly a mile and a half, away from the venue, with continuous campsites between) --- and, unlike Coachella, the festival isn't really about the bands per se; it's about a series of curated experiences to which the bands contribute. And the vibes --- the vibes, oh my god the vibes. Almost everyone is on, engaged, connected. I got more hugs from random strangers last weekend than I have over the past five Coachellas combined.
The production value isn't as good as Coachella (but very few are), but the curated atmospheres are stellar. And I love touches like the mid-festival fire pit, or the wierd martian dance party hangout, and the art design of the woogie at night was amazing.
I tripped twice last weekend (once planned, once a spontaneous last minute decision that may have been one of my best decisions of the weekend), and I rolled once.
I went into it with the intention of figuring out what the rest of my life looks like, and that didn't happen, but that was kind of a tall order, right? Insane, really.
But I also went in with the knowledge --- if i'm going to use these substances to hack my brain, the place i'm going to do it is at music festivals, and both so I can do it alone and so I am not a burden on my friends when I do it, I have to develop certian skills --- the skill to manage my reaction when i get overstimulated, the skill to go off and find a calming place when the feels get overwhelming, the skill to navigate to the bathroom when i need to, the skill to have a good time and not freak out when i get seperated, the ability to keep enough of my wits about me to be a good member of the crowd and not do super stupid stuff that's going to attract attention I don't want. My friends were kind enough to give me a safe space to develop those skills, and by the end of the weekend, I had. And at the same time ...
I had a couple intersections with the spiritual aspect of the festival. Not many, as that's not really what my friends wanted to do, and sharing the experience with them was more important than having my own experience in many ways, but some. An opening cacao ceremony I barely remember except for the bitter taste of the cacao and the sense of peace and focus it provided. A shiva ritual with tone meditation. And the fire pit, late sunday night, where the fire took on the aspect of the sacred fire that burns in everyone's heart, and i could gaze across the fire and see it, feel it, beating in everyone. (Something I did again, sober, last night, at the fire pit with my household-family).
I do not know who I am, not for real. I know the terrified child who hid behind being the smartest kid in the room so hte other kids would leave him alone and his mom and stepparents would take him seriously (and who stepped up to take care of his mom every time her relationships failed); I know the man who was afraid to not be the person he thought his husband wanted until that was unsustainable, the man who would not compromise with his husband because he'd been pushed to the point where the meagre boundaries he was clinging to were both essential and all he had, and the man who out of fear transformed himself into something close to a healthy adult (for someone else, not himself) --- but none of these are the core of me. They are masks I have worn, roles I have inhabited. I do not know who I am, and that used to terrify me, but now it does not.
I know that a big part of me is the part that connects, that seeks connection and forges conneciton and helps others find connections. I call myself a Bondsmith in cosmere fandom not because of any affinity to the known powers of bondsmiths, but because of an affinity to the act of bringing people together, of forging tribes and protecting them. And I know that a big part of me is the person who can sense, even if he can not always see or describe, the sacred fire of love and beauty deep within the core of us all, hidden and encrusted over by hurt and fear and rejection and loneliness and self-doubt and self-loathing and the drudgery of day to day life, and who seeks to bring it out and help it flower.
I do not know what I am going to do. I do not know who I am going to find that the rest of me is. That is a problem for tomorrow --- the metaphorical toomrrow, the immediate future stretching before me.
But ... I have spent a decade developing the tools for self-reflection and self-evaluation and self-change. I have learned this spring that I can use immensely powerful chemical tools to hack new neural pathways into my brain, to heal myself, and to help me discover who I need to be and what I need to do. I have a safe and loving community who will support me in it, and a job (for now) that will pay for it, and no need to worry about forcing myself to be who anyone else needs me to be --- I can find out who I need to be, and then I can decide what to do about it.
For the first time in more than a decade I am excited about the future, hope that I can be, and my future can be, something fantastic and fulfilling and full of love and joy and peace.
And I have so much gratitude, proximally to the friends who helped me this spring, more broadly to the friends who carried me through the darkness, and with whom I hope to celebrate the light.

Fear. Fear may be the mind-killer. It may be the little death that brings total obliteration. But it's a great motivator. Through long, painstaking, difficult effort, three steps forward, two steps back, I ground out a new me. A me with skills i'd never had, with a capacity for self-reflection and acceptance that I could never have conceived in my twenties. A me who (unlike twenties me) could stand for what I wanted and take the risk of loss, but also a me who (unlike the me of my early 40s) could be flexible and compromise rather than clinging for dear life to the boundaries that I'd carved in stone because I hadn't had any and could no longer tolerate hteir absence. A me that could blend self-care and compassion and care for others. A me who could be open with almost anyone about almost anything, but who didn't need to force that openness on people who didn't want it or couldn't share it.
It took me too long; I changed in the way my husband needed me to, but too late, and by then he needed something else, and the person he needed had become incompatible with the person I needed to be. But we both loved each other so much that we kept trying, and it didn't work, because it couldn't work. I grew into myself in order to save my marriage, and in the process lost it, and it sucks, but it's ok.
And yet, still, in the year since we agreed to stop trying and transmute the deep love we have into each other into a friendship (instead of a failing attempt at a partnership) --- in that year, every intrusive thought, every self-talk on long walks, every middle of the night ranting at myself when I cannot sleep, has been about my marriage, about the feelings from it that were never resolved and which likely can never be resolved. I have been stuck, half in the door to the relationship, half out, unable to move, or progress, or imagine any future --- the future I had hung my hat on for decades was gone, and while that decision was right by the time we made it, it meant there was nothing. A good job, a great circle of friends, a loving family household, sure, all of those are great, but they're no basis for building a future in the absence of the relationship that has been the focus of my adult life; nothing is such a basis.
But --- i've been on the outskirts of rave culture for long enough to know that psychedelics are not just for partying. My new job was out of town, and car was something I wanted for a while, just didn’t need it up to this point.
I used to go by buses but the public transportation in my country is trash. I used to wait sometimes hour+ for my bus at the end of the day. Coming home hours late. I hated this, and I knew I should get a car.
At first I was scared to get a car so I didn’t even try to manifest it, I used to be scared of driving (had license for a while already) so I tolerated the buses.
Until one day, I waited for a bus for two hours (!!) and it made me CRY, when I finally arrived home that day I decided that’s it, I need a car. I started picturing myself driving a car to work, and I asked my father to help me find one online because I don’t know anything about them.
And the saga started. For almost a month every car I found attractive were sold before I was able to come over and see it. Or it wasn’t relevant to me, etc. it made me nervous. People around told me it takes 6 months in average to find the best car and get to buy it. No. I was furious. I didn’t accept it.
I remember myself crying in my father’s car because we missed another nice car and I was frustrated, until I’ve decided “that’s it. I surrender. I let go. If there’s a good car I should have, it’ll come to me”. Just like I did with my job.
I’ve decide to have fun. I added my job to my nav app and I acted like I use it when I go on the bus. I enjoyed the ride and tried to remember the way as I am going to drive it soon. I made a playlist for my drive.
A week later my father texts me about a car that is being for sale and he’s there looking at it right now, and it looked perfect for me. I agreed on the price and two days later it was mine. That easy. No effort at all.
I took a moment to realise it was the manifestation because I was upset but I wasn’t hopeless.
So it is two times that this method of surrender and let go works for me.
Recently I’ve discovered that some time ago I’ve scripted myself having this car for fun, so there’s also that.

 | This is an update (hopefully the last update!) in regard to the "Battery Danger" message I experienced. Here are the prior posts: submitted by Fainman128 to BoltEV [link] [comments] Original Post on 10 May 2023 Update 1 on 15 May 2023 BLUF: I now have the car back with a new battery. The EV Concierge is reimbursing my fuel expenses while I had the rental car (which was also taken care of). Potentially helpful background: I traveled out of state to find & buy the Bolt EUV (with S&S and SC). I purchased the car in Feb 2023 and DCFC'd it 4 times on the drive home immediately after purchase. Since I've been home, I charged up to 80% nightly with the 32A / 240V charger that came with the car. When this event occurred, I still had about 140 miles remaining even though the picture shows "Low". What I learned when I picked up the car: The car was towed in, horn still going off, on 10 May 2023. The tech disconnected the negative on the battery to get it to stop and parked the car in the far corner of the lot. The next day, Thursday 11 May 2023, the tech saw error code P0BBD (Hybrid Battery Pack Voltage Variation Exceeded Limit). Apparently what happened here is the battery has contactors and all of those disengaged as a safety mechanism when the car saw this code. The horn goes off - possibly with the hope of draining the 12V battery if no one is around. If this were to happen while driving, the assumption is you'd still get the notice and you'd slowly lose propulsion power - so you'd have enough time to pull over and gtfo. Anyway - the tech followed diagnostics and a bulletin had him contact Technical Assistance Center (TAC) for further direction. TAC had him put together a report and scheduled the local field engineer to come out ASAP which ended up being Monday morning. The field engineer had a device that plugged into the engineering port (on passenger side) to stream data to engineers in Detroit. It was then decided a battery replacement would be the resolution and the bad battery would be carefully packaged, crated, and sent to LG. When the new battery was installed, the coolant was also replaced and the battery was programmed remotely by the engineers in Detroit (I think). The tech also put the car on their DCFC which performs an isolation test and rebalances cells. He said it's free to use and it wouldn't hurt to do it monthly (the battery doesn't need to be at a certain level - just needs room to charge). Let's get nerdy: I got a copy of the diagnostic report it showed the following:
I looked up how thermal runaway happens here are 3 possibilities:
As the temperature continues to rise, the decomposition of the electrolyte and other active materials in the battery can accelerate. For example, the breakdown of the cathode material, which often includes a nickel-based compound, can release oxygen. Oxygen can react with other battery components, such as the electrolyte or the graphite anode, resulting in additional heat generation and the production of more flammable gases. The release of flammable gases, combined with the high temperature, can create a self-sustaining chain reaction within the battery. The heat generated by the exothermic reactions can further accelerate the decomposition of the electrolyte and other materials, releasing more gases and causing a feedback loop. This feedback loop leads to an increase in temperature, pressure, and the release of additional flammable gases, exacerbating the severity of the thermal runaway event. In closing: I learned a lot and ordered an OBD reader from Amazon. Bonus The tech informed me if I were to try to change my own 12V battery whenever it needs it, there are some contactors that disengage and make a noise when the negative side is disconnected (always remove the negative side first). When putting in the new battery, if the contactors don't re-engage, you may need to have it towed in. |

Just curious because I love my job. I’ve been an account executive for about 1.5 years and love it.
I work from home and don’t spend everyday selling selling selling. A lot of my sales come to me because of my set of accounts. I haven’t hit over 100% and my management understands because they say I’m in a tough market.
And the other people on my team are in even better positions. There accounts produce a lot more than me so they are chilling chilling.
Anyways just wondering if anyone has a similar experience? What industry are you in? Is it pretty low pressure?

Chicago and Milwaukee are a melting pot of European clans, And recently the ancient, Odin was forced into retreat as the Anarchs cast him down from his Ivory Tower. House Carta was the Primogen of Milwaukee, until she broke off and has become an Anarch sympathizer.
Odin and his Gangrels had intermingled in native tribes since the days of Leif Ericson.
In session -1 we can talk about the flavor of the expansion. Perhaps with the nomadic Nature of the Hells Angles who's Harleys are made in a factory here, your group is a biker gang. Or a Coterie looking for a business expansion! The Cams have been forced to retreat from Chicago and Are losing ground in Milwaukee. Madison is just a short drive away.

I am a returning WOD Storyteller, getting started with v5. I have been DM/ST since 1999 for multiple systems Including WOD 1 and 2.
The Story sets its place in the suburbs in between Madison, Milwaukee and Chicago. Your group will be tasked with expanding Kindred into Madison in the post pandemic era. Madison is booming and growing rapidly. Govenor Scott Walker's tax policies lured several tech giants to this College town. Traditionally shifters and shamans have made thier home in Wisconsin. Chicago and Milwaukee are a melting pot of European clans, And recently the ancient, Odin was forced into retreat as the Anarchs cast him down from his Ivory Tower. House Carta was the Primogen of Milwaukee, until she broke off and has become an Anarch sympathizer.
Odin and his Gangrels had intermingled in native tribes since the days of Leif Ericson.
In session -1 we can talk about the flavor of the expansion. Perhaps with the nomadic Nature of the Hells Angles who's Harleys are made in a factory here, your group is a biker gang. Or a Coterie looking for a business expansion! The Cams have been forced to retreat from Chicago and Are losing ground in Milwaukee. Madison is just a short drive away.
The great Lakes and the Mississippi River are host to dozens of tribes of Natives. Near-by House on the Rock was featured in Neil Gaimons American Gods. Gary Gaigax and his family are from the Madison Metro, and there is a Playboy Mansion on Lake Geneva. Immigration up and down the Mississippi River is ancient. From the Acadians settling Louisiana from nearby Ontario, to Vikings who longshipped to the Duluth shores. Piracy and Huck-finn, Little house on the Prairie and Laura Ingalls Wilder. Religious cults and a history of serial killers enough for an album called Wisconsin Death Trip

I got a call from a guy claiming to be a rep for Rogers offering me a deal to switch from Fido to Rogers.
The deal was iPhone 14 Pro 128gb with unlimited calling and texting +30gb Data with a 2 year contract.
Seems like a good deal not too over the top…
I never gave this guy anything other then my email, address and name.
I never gave him any codes.
First he says that he will set me up and ship me the phone, when I get it I am to call in and actives it and at that time they will apply the rebate for the phone and the plan.
He says to me at one point he made a mistake and if I see a email from Fido I am to ignore them just delete them, a email from Rogers will also come just follow that email. Oh and he will remove my Fido account online so I won’t have access to the MyFido until I get my new phone.
The first email o get from Fido says my password has been changed. Ok that’s fine I expected that.
So far so good.
Except things don’t feel right, I read the email from Fido and Rogers and have a closer look at the email it was sent from.

So I call him back with the number he provided me for activation, and he answers with his name, not the usual sales pitch when your call a call centre “Hello, thank you for calling Rogers how may I help you today”
So right away the red flag goes up in my mind, but I play it cool and tell him I got a email from Fido saying I was getting the wrong iPhone.
“ NO NO NO sir that’s not correct our system is not setup yet, but Rogers and Fido are the same company so they share a distribution centre and all phones are sent out from the same place”
“You will get the correct phone no worries, you see Sir ok?”
Ok so at this point I am sure this is some sort of scam but can’t figure out what it is yet.
I call Fido support and spend 20min trying to get though to someone, end up hunting up and calling Rogers support same deal, I try Fido again and I have to wait for a callback…
Finally get though to a Fido representative and they are dumb as shit.
I explain that I think there might be some sort of scammer, and now it looks like I am on the hook for a $2500 iPhone..
The lady on the phone says she can’t stop the phone it has already been ordered, well wtf, she says she will lock out my account until it is resolved and she will send my issue up the ladder for an investigation but it will take 2-4 days.
Well what happens if I get the phone tomorrow I say to her and she says don’t worry just send it back you won’t be charged OK fine that kind of made me feel OK.
The next day I get the phone and it is an iPhone 14 promax one terabyte model worth $2400 Canadian so I called up the “activation number” and and tell the guy I got the wrong phone he says no that’s not right sir let me check into it I’ll get my manager put me on hold, another guy gets on who sounds exactly like the first guy says. Hi sir I am the manager how can I help you I explain to him, I got the wrong phone and he says oh sorry sir. Well I’ll send you a shipping label and you can print it out and will ship it back in your proper phone will come on Saturday.
OK, OK so maybe this is a scam and this was just someone who fucked up and sent me the wrong home still don’t know if this was a real deal or not.
But then I’m like let me check on the return shipping address oh wait, this isn’t going to some warehouse. It’s going to someone’s house.
Oh here it is. Here’s with a scam is she sends me a shipping label and I ship out the really expensive phone to this guys house and as soon as it gets shipped, he disappears telephone numbers disappears. I can’t get a hold of him but lo and behold I’m now responsible for this phone and I have to pay for it.
But I’m not shipping that goddamn phone out to anyone. I’m gonna walk right into Rogers or Fido fucking corporate head office and put it down on their desk and say give me my goddamn money back and you got a find out who in your call-center is scamming your customers out of high-end top-of-the-line iPhones
Because there’s no way this guy was able to do this unless he had access to the Fido or Rogers activation system internally because the reset my password and I have two factor if indication on my password for my photo, so the only way to reset it without me having to approve resetting through authentication is if he could override that internally.
So this point I have his address I have two telephone numbers associated to him. I’ve looked up both telephone numbers and they’re associated to a nonexistent call center. Basically a company that sells numbers to people and re-sells numbers to people so these are all fake numbers OK.
At this point I have still not got a callback from either Rogers or Fido in regards to this whole issue so because I live in Vancouver and because the addresses in Ontario, then I should be contacting the RCMP and getting them involved with commercial crimes.
And since I’m really frustrated and I know that there’s gonna be a lot of people out there that can get scam by this guy. I’ve gone to Reddit to let you all know that this is going on right now because trying to get any help from Rogers or Fido is fucking ridiculous.

So I got an oil change since it was half off for the day. (Valvoline) And obviously when a company does some sort of promotion like this you are to expect them to try and sell you a bunch of extra stuff. But I had the guy try and sell me a $50 cabin air filter, but that wasn’t even the craziest part, another worker lied about on of my lights being out after getting home and inspecting it myself.
Then the guy that tried to sell me the over priced filter tried to sell me a “Power Steering Fluid Change” ($130). Now I’m no expert, but I am pretty sure the 2010 Toyota Prius is an EPS system, correct? I even asked the guy about it and he said that my vehicle had it “sealed”. I wasn’t doing it anyway, so I looked everywhere online and still can’t find anything about getting your power steering fluid changed on my Prius.
Does anyone know anything about this? Or was this place literally just trying to rob the blind on their oil change “sale”?!
