My sister and I are heading to Germany immediately following Thanksgiving and I want to see if this trip is too ambitious. The goal is to see a lot of Christmas markets. Secondary is additional sites in the cities. What are your thoughts?
A few notes:

1. The following SummeFall we plan to go Germany/Austria/Switzerland for secondary trip with more of our family. So we can see things we miss (in the Bavaria area).
2. We plan to have a car the whole time to allow for little side trips that the train schedules might not work. In the large cities, we'll just part at the hotel when going to the markets.
3. Instead of going to Cologne/Stuttgart - a backup option would drive to Dresden from the Dusseldorf airport. We recently learned of family who emigrated from Werdau, Zwichau, Saxony (but we can visit that another time)
4. Some of the cities are planned around when they were opening. We originally were going to end in Munich, but then would miss Nuremburg markets.

So I am returning to Germany at the end of the month, and me and my German partner want to build our first PC after I arrive. I am a little intimidated, as this will be my first every build, but it is a challenge I want to embrace.
There are websites that allow you to pick components and ensure they are compatible, but I am only aware of a few US ones.
Are there any recommended website that are based in/serve/deliver to Germany? Sites that will show if the parts you have selected are comparable? Should I just use the US website and see if they deliver (without breaking the bank?) For a bit more context, I will be in a smaller city in Bavaria.

So I would like to get rid of a few things about the old old house of my grandfather, prehistory: the house was built about 200 years ago, as far as I know there were often soldiers in WW2 and a few were often given shelter, one disappeared after a few days without a trace,It was also an old Restaraunt, About 40 years later my grandpa found an old cross in the garbage and decided to restore it, after a few weeks strange things happened, Mary and Jesus pictures started to sway without wind or any human influence, the whole house was shaking without wind that day or similar and in bavaria there are also no earthquakes, loud noises in the basement,My grandfather then mounted cross on a nearby tree, since then it is always foggy around the tree. My grandmother had cancer and died of it, she had a phone in her room which was only connected to the phone in the living room if she needed help, she could not call anyone else with it, a few days later when she died the phone rang in the living room with the number of my grandmother's phone, when you answered the phone you heard only breathing then it hung up, First there was no longer a connection to the phone downstairs, and secondly the contract of the phone was terminated. My grandpa then died December 2015. Now 2023 I myself have already experienced many things... Story #1 Me and a buddy went at 23 o'clock at night to the house to get something, We then got to the kitchen, to get into the kitchen you have to go from the hallway left through a door, we then closed the door behind us , suddenly someone knocked, we panicked but still decided to open the door but there was no one, suddenly there was a loud bang, we ran quickly back to the kitchen, after a few minutes we heard footsteps in front of the door,we then looked outside but again there was no one to see, we then heard someone from the hallway ran towards us but there was no one to see either, we ran directly home Story #2 I and a colleague have met in the evening and we where chilling in the living room, the living room is directly connected to the kitchen, after a few minutes we heard above us a loud bang and loud footsteps, my friend panicked and waited outside and I went upstairs alone, and have looked but there was no one to find Story #3 Once a friend and me decided to set up 2 cameras in the hallway, at the end of the hallway there goes a door straight into the stall and on the right a stair to the bedrooms and attics, my buddy pointed his camera towards the stairs and to the beginning of the hallway, and I pointed the camera from the beginning of the hallway towards the end, when we went to get both phones, both phones where on the floor with the camera pointing towards the ceiling, both video cutted off at the exact same time and both fell to the floor at the exact same time Story #4 Me and a friend went to the house at night, we wanted to film on the 2nd floor, at the top of the stair there are 3 doors, one at the front, on at the left and one at the right, we went to the right floor, at the door there is a chair to block the door, so we got in the hallway where at the end right and left are open doors, then went in and have not discovered something suspicious, when we looked at the recordings afterwards you saw in the left door a hand and a face, it was clear to see, but we checked the rooms and there was no one there, Sadly i dont find the recordings anymore Story #5
When my cousin and i where kids we sleept at my grandpas house, we then went to the toilet at night when we suddenly heard very loud scratching on the front door, we then thought we are pranking eachother but then it happened again at the time we where talking My mother has lived about 2 months after the separation with my father in the house because it is her parents house, she said after a few weeks she felt very uncomfortable, not welcome and always watched, she had many sleep paralyses and also heard footsteps, loud noises, etc. and then quickly moved out again. Things happend again and again, lights go on and off, doors open on its own, things lie on the floor, footsteps, voices, things are moving, most of the time the people are feeling very uncomfortable. At each visit strange things happen, will spend the days in the house alone and will take my camera and try to film something, I will post it here if some of you are interested. Breed: (Snow) Seal Lynx Point Bengal Cat
Body Weight: 5.8kgs
History: Gingivitis. General stomach sensitivity. He can yowl after eating and sometimes during eating. Can sound pretty strange and almost like a mating goal. In the past he had bright red blood in stool when food was changed. Vet advised diet change and held off on any further investigation. Now on grain-free, meat only diet.
Clinical Signs: Licking one specific area on chest/belly daily multiple times.
Duration: 1-2 months
General Location: Bavaria, Germany.
No veterinarian appointment made yet.

I'm reaching out in hopes of gaining some insights and advice regarding my cat's health. Lately, I've noticed a peculiar behavior that has been causing me quite a bit of concern.
My cat has been consistently licking a specific area on his belly/chest. It's become a daily ritual for him, and we've observed him do it around +/- 10 per day. The fact that he focuses on such a specific spot worries me.
What adds to my apprehension is the knowledge that snow bengals, like my cat, have a predisposition to cancer. I understand that it might not necessarily be the case here, but the association has certainly amplified my concerns.
I want to ensure that my cat receives the best care possible, so I'm turning to this supportive community for any insights, experiences, or advice you might have. Has anyone else observed similar behavior in their snow bengal or any other breed of cat? Should I be worried about potential health issues? Are there any preventive measures or specific signs I should be looking out for?
Of course, I now plan to consult my veterinarian about this issue.. Any input now could help guide me in the right direction and give me peace of mind.

Hi everybody, I am new to this sub, but as the title mentions, I am at a pivotal point in my career: to continue cooperating with the same company, I am asked to relocate to a soth bavarian city. It may sound a bit generic, but the reason of this vagueness is that the job will be remote anyway, I just need to be in Germany for tax purpose. At the moment I am in Italy and I am starting to look for an accomodation by the end of July- mid August. I decided to drop a message here to see if there is any suggested way to look for a flat to rent. Do you know or have experience with real estate agencies I can contact? Is it better to look for a flat once there or are there chances to find something from here? I am thinking about Rosenheim as the ideal candidate. It's not too far from the border, it seems nice and not too big compared to other cities. I live in the countryside and I don't mind a medium sized city, but if you have other suggestions feel free to share.

Lily: “So Wolfgang von Rittersbrücke—that means ‘Knightsbridge’—was born somewhere between 840 and 845. That’s year, not time of day. He definitely died in 919, and the records for that say he was ‘about 75’, so, do the math. We don’t know anything about his childhood or even who his mom or dad was. At least one of them was probably pretty important, because the first time we hear of Wolfgang is in 867, when he’s listed as a Graf, a count.”
Jack: “But he was like an über-count, because he had six or seven counties. Is that where we get ‘county’ from, here? Yeah? That makes sense. Wolfie owned pretty much all of the duchy of Franconia–”

Lily: “Well, not this king.”
Jack: “Instead, he goes and starts a war with the Archbishop of Mainz and takes over his county. You’d think that would get you excommunicated or whatever, but nope. Use it or lose it.”

Jack: “Fair point. But you see what I mean. Wolfgang just hires a bunch of mercenaries to support his own army, and takes both of them apart before they can meet up. He straight-up bribes Welf’s commander to look the other way, and Welf has to run away again. Finally, they meet up, but Wolfie’s ready for them, and he ends up capturing both kings. Parades’em through the streets of Frankfurt in a cage on wheels, lets the peasants throw fruit at’em.”
Lily: “That’s from a chronicle from a couple of hundred years later, the thing about the cage and the fruit. So, probably not true. But he did capture them both, and the king of Lotharingia had to pay Wolfgang like a year’s income to get his nephew Frederick out of jail, and King Welf? He lost his crown. Once he surrendered, the other dukes said no, you don’t get to be king anymore, and for the rest of his life, everyone made fun of him for losing two wars to the same guy in like six years.”
Jack: “They played for keeps: I was thinking they’d cut off Welf’s head, but I think they thought it was more fun to just roast him.”
Lily: “But we’re not done, yet. Next in line to be king is Ludwig’s other son, Anno. And we don’t call him Anno the First, because he was even worse at the job than Welf, so nobody ever named a prince Anno again after that. He tries to do the same thing to Wolfgang in the year 903, only this time Frederick of Burgundy declines to help, so Anno tries to solo it, and he ends up being captured in battle by a bunch of peasants, who Wolfgang all gave farms to. That’s four total king captures for Wolfgang, if you’re keeping score.”
Jack: “And they totally were. They kicked Anno off the throne, too, and gave the crown to his son—or maybe it was Welf’s son; we don’t know—Michael, who was only a six-year-old. So bad at being king, everyone else would rather have a first-grader. Welf and Anno had to sit at their own table in the castle cafeteria, having a big old pity party for like decades. Michael grows up, Wolfie gets old, and they’re like hunting pals: Wolfie threw him a giant feast when Michael got old enough to be king for real. Never gave him Frankfurt back, though, and I’m guessing Michael wasn’t nearly stupid enough to try, because he ended up being a pretty successful king.”
Lily: “Wolfgang was Michael’s chancellor for a long time, which is like the chief diplomat.”
Jack: “Keep your friends close, and your enemies closer, is my guess.”
Lily: “Duke Wolfgang founded a bunch of cities and castles—we marked them in red on the map, here—but after that, we don’t really know that much about him except that his son died. He was old, and really rich, and probably pretty happy, because we’d only probably know about bad things that happened. He lived to be seventy-five, which was very good for those days, and died in his bed in the year 919.”
Jack: “Everyone says he’s buried under the cathedral in Frankfurt, but that cathedral didn’t get built for another couple of centuries, so that’s probably fake news, too. Aaaand that's all we've got. I've been here for about a month and today when I was shopping at Rewe, a woman came to me with a thick accent and broken german, asked me to pay for the stuff she had picked up. Is such an incident common in Germany? I wanna know if she was really in need or there are just lots of beggers doing this Germany. Btw, It happened in a relatively wealthy city in the state of Bavaria.
