Sarah Aubrey who is HBO Max’s head of original content, would become co-Chief content officer of HBO, sharing the position with Bloys, whom she will report to. Aubrey would also serve as head of scripted content for peacock, reporting to Susan Rovner. This means she would become Chairman of US Networks for Discovery NBCU. Casey Bloys would stay on as head of HBO but would report to Mark Lazarus instead of Berwick. Cartoon Network President Michael Oulween would also add programming oversight of Universal Kids Temporarily until the channel shuts down. Oulween would also oversee kids and family content for peacock. Jason Sarlanis who oversees the T-Nets as well as HLN and Investigation Discovery and Howard Lee who oversees the D-Nets and TLC would leave the combined Company as their roles would be redundant. Sarlanis and Lee’s roles would be assumed by Berwick. Pola Changon, who oversees TCM, would report directly to Casey Bloys as the Channel would be put under the HBO group. WBD US Networks Chairman and CCO Kathleen Finch would also leave the company.
Susan Rovner who is the chairman of entertainment content for NBCU television and streaming would also add oversight for creative strategy for original entertainment for all of WBD’s cable networks (with the exception of HBO, which will be continued to be run by Casey Bloys and Cartoon Network, Boomerang and Adult swim, which will be continued to be led by Michael Ouwleen, as well as TCM, which will be continued to be led by Pola Changnon). She would also lead content for the combined HBO Max-Discovery+-Peacock streaming service (which would continue to have the peacock name). All of them would report to Mark Lazarus will be Chairman of Discovery NBCU television and streaming as would NBC News head Cesar conde. Rashida Jones is president of MSNBC would continue to report to Conde as would CNBC president KC Sullivan and Telemundo Chairman Beau Ferrari. Now here’s an interesting one. Corie Henson who is currently executive vp of entertainment unscripted content for NBCU Tv and streaming where she oversees reality programming for all NBCU’s of cable networks and streaming service Peacock, would also now oversee all unscripted content for the now former WBD Networks. In addition, Henson would also become President for the D-Nets, TLC, HGTV and Food Network with Henson overseeing all aspects of Discovery Channel, Travel Channel, Science Channel, Animal Planet, Investigation Discovery, HGTV, TLC and Food Network including programming and development alongside Susan Rovner in addition to her new role as EVP, unscripted content, Discovery NBCU taking some pressure off Berwick. Henson would also absorb Rod Aissa’s role of oversight for unscripted lifestyle and documentary programming in addition to her current role overseeing reality and talent completion and game show programming, meaning she would oversee all types of unscripted programming for the company. Aissa would leave the company as a result. So, Henson’s position would be, EVP, unscripted content, Discovery NBCU television and streaming, and president, D-Nets, TLC, HGTV, and Food Network, reporting to both Berwick and Rovner. Betsy Ayala and Loren Ruch, who oversee Food Network and HGTV respectively would stay on and report to Henson. For streaming JB Perrette, who serves as CEO of Global streaming and Games, would leave the company, and be replaced by NBCU direct to consumer and international chairman Matt Strauss who would also replace Gerhard Zeiler as international chief. Strauss’ new position would Chairman and CEO of streaming and international networks, Discovery NBCU, where he would oversee the non-Sky international networks reporting to both Mark Lazarus and Sky Group CEO Dana Strong. Kelly Campbell would stay on President of Streaming and Direct to Consumer for Discovery NBCU. Lisa Katz, who oversees scripted content for all NBCU’s broadcast and tv networks and the peacock streaming service, would also now oversee all scripted programming across all WBD cable networks (with the exception of HBO of course). Katie Hockmeyer, who oversees late night programming for NBC as EVP of Late night would now add oversight of all late-night programming across of the cable network portfolio as well as peacock, including Bravo and HBO, which include shows like Watch what happens live, Real time with Bill Maher and Last Week Tonight with John Oliver. Hockmeyer would report to both Frances Berwick and Casey Bloys. Jen Neal, EVP, Live Events, NBCUniversal Television & Streaming, would now oversee live events for all former WBD Networks (except HBO). Alex Wellen, Global President, and General Manager for Motor Trend Group would report to Casey Bloys as the entire Motor Trend group would also be put under the HBO Umbrella. So, Casey Bloys’ HBO unit would consist of HBO and its sister networks, TCM, Magnolia Network and Motor Trend. NBC Sports and WBD Sports would be merged into one company keeping the NBC Sports name with NBC Sports Chairman Pete Bevacqua becoming Chairman and CEO of Discovery NBCU Sports. All would report to Mark Lazarus who would be Chairman Networks and streaming at Discovery NBCU.
Warner Universal Pictures would be led by Donna Langley as Chairwoman, with Peter Cramer becoming chairman of Universal Studios, Michael De Luca and Pam Abdy becoming Co-CEOs of Warner Bros Entertainment, James Gunn and Peter Safran remaining as Co-CEOs of DC Studios, and Peter Kujawski continuing as chairman of focus features. Margie Cohn would stay on as president of DreamWorks Animation which will merge with Warner animation group and Chris Meledandri will stay on as CEO of Illumination. All would report to Langley.
Discovery NBCU content studios would be the television unit for the combined company. The division would keep the Warner Bros Television and Universal Television and Universal Content Productions names like how Disney keeps ABC Signature and 20th television names. Warner Bros Domestic Television Distribution and NBCUniversal Syndication Studios would be merged to create Discovery NBCU syndication studios, which would serve as the broadcast and cable syndication and television distribution unit of Discovery NBCU studios. Tracie Wilson, who currently serves as Executive Vice President, NBCUniversal Syndication Studios & E! News, would become president of discovery NBCU syndication studios and E! News. The combined arm would have a variety of first run syndicated shows including Maury, Jerry Springer, Extra, Access Hollywood, the Steve Wilkos Show, Judge Mathis, the Ellen degeneres show, the Jennifer Hudson show, the people’s court, the Kelly Clarkson Show and more. It would also serve as the distributor of Off network syndication reruns of shows produced by Warner Bros TV and Universal TV including the law and order and Chicago franchises, The Big Bang Theory, Young Sheldon, Friends, The Office, Parks and Recreation, Smallville, The closer, Rizzoli and Isles, Full House, Dateline and more.
All these executives would report to Jeff Shell, who would become CEO of Discovery NBCU (the name of the combined company). Warner Bros Discovery CFO Gunnar Wiedenfels, would continue in his role as CFO for Discovery NBCU. Discovery NBCU would have its headquarters at 30 Rockefeller plaza at the comcast building in NYC. Shell would continue to report to Comcast CEO Brian Roberts.

Some context first: we have been together for 5 years and we have had our ups and downs, we even almost broke up 2 years ago because I kissed another girl something I have deeply regretted. However, after the break I can't stop thinking about her and how she is coping with it. I am certainly a wreck and this thought didn't come to me after she did something. It was very out of the blue, I just thought that I am still young and I want to live my life to the fullest and have experiences not with just one woman.
Anyway, now after half a day of being on a break, I can not get my mind to decide. I still love her and want to be with her because we do have fun when we are together and I miss her so much. On the other hand, I don't want to reach a certain age and have regrets about my younger years. I'm losing my mind. I booked a therapy session with a counselor to try and cope with it and maybe get some answers(I have never gotten therapy before).
Also my girlfriend doesn't have any close friends. We go to the same university-different faculties but on the same building- and I was her only company there. I am afraid that she will become a loner and be miserable and I can't stand that thought. Can you guys give me any advice? Even your personal opinion on the matter, I need a different perspective.

So it's been really a fascinating few weeks, months, years really. I don't need to get into everything that has happened, but what I want to talk about is Google's position, and what they can possibly do to get out of it.
So a few years back, there was controversy over Timnit Gebru - a Lead Engineer and Ethicists at Google who wrote a scathing paper on the ethical challenges of LLMs - this was in 2020. The drama of that was intense, and I wouldn't throw anyone under the bus, but it ended with Timnit "resigning" (she gave an ultimatum and Google was like "we'll take that as a formal resignation").
During all of this, tech journalists around the world were really laying into Google - they were being sexist, racist, inconsiderate of the ethical ramifications of their actions, and were trying to move too quickly. Google spent a lot of time after that really trying to convince everyone that they were taking their time, that everything would have serious ethical oversight, and they wouldn't release anything they thought wouldn't meet their standards.
Oh how things can change.
We all know what happened with OpenAI, and they have had plenty of controversy about their models. But it seems like in reality, all those ethical concerns about LLMs and image models? No one cares. Well not really. Now the language has changed and all of Google's restraint and caution seems like hubris and a company that cannot ship (which isn't entirely unfair).
Google can't make everyone happy, so what does Google do next? Google still has stellar research, they are still the leaders - do you think Google is going to switch gears entirely, and start throwing things out?
I feel like Demis Hassabis knew this was going to happen when he did that Time Magazine article. He was begging everyone to slow down - I wonder if he thinks that now with this pressure, Google will start being... Reckless?

I rented a car for 3 months here but I ran over a wall and damaged one of the rear lights and the rear bumper.
I know that if I deliver the car like this I will be charged 4 times more than I should.
So I decided to go to a car parts and acessories shop to ask for a budget for the exactly same parts of the car that were damaged.
What left me worried was the fact that they asked me for the plate of the car. Does the shop has to inform the rental company after the change? Does the "car history" gets an update or is does the shop just asks for the plate in order to see the brands and types of the components of the car?

Hello everyone! A few months ago we moved to the Netherlands because my husband got a job offer in a local company as a qualified employee (1-year contract). After he started working for the company, strange things started to happen that are more like discrimination than normal working conditions. For example, when my husband fell ill and could not go to work because he felt very ill, the company informed him in writing on the second day that he was not allowed to be sick for more than 2 days in the company.
When public transport strikes started and for this reason, my husband could be half an hour late for work (like 1-2 days per 2 weeks), the company informed him that they were not interested in the strike issue, he should buy a bicycle, and get to work by bicycle (the distance to and from work is 70 kilometres !!!!). We do not understand if we have any form of protection and if this is the norm or discrimination in the Netherlands. Yes, we understand that the only option in this situation is to find another job, but I am very worried that this company will do something even worse, which might affect my husband's career in the future.
Maybe you can give us some advice or tell us if there is any protection for workers in the Netherlands in these cases or if it is better to leave the job on your own (which of course will put our financial situation at risk, since we have just moved to the country and started to pay rent, but we just cannot see any other way out of this situation).

Lost their contract.
Just been informed today, my training is now cancelled, I started March 2022 and passed my theory in November 2022.
We've been fobbed off with delay excuses since April 2022, had to push them at every stage.
Told in December 2022 that my/all practice training was on hold until talks with the DFE were concluded.
Asked to fill in a form 3 weeks ago to express my interest in completing the practical training.
This company did not deserve the contract, its obvious they struggled to meet their obligations from the start.
How is this not in the media, I'm betting hundreds if not 1000s are now in my position.
Promised a new career but let down at the last stage.
Is the DFE going to appoint anyone to help us complete our training?
Trouble is to start a bootcamp you must have not passed any theory tests or the medical. So am I now in an impossible situation?

Posting this here to hopefully some more attention to this issue. Framework as a company has been touted as being user serviceable and easily repaired.
There currently is an issue that if a user leaves their laptop for days to a week it is possible the RTC battery will drain and the system will be unable to boot without being plugged into usbc. Sometimes It requires disassembly and pulling the RTC battery to get it to boot. This is quite a bad design flaw and you may not be able to boot a laptop.
Below there is a rework guide to fix this in the circuit of the mainboard. I'm decent at soldering and have the necessary equipment to fix this but it is honestly beyond my skills i've replaced 0402 resistors but this was always on circuit boards where the value is much less than a laptop mainboard.
Framework has stated in these threads that they will not fix it and that the rework is up to the user and the cost is up to them. This is a horrible stance for a company to take and not service and fix their product with such a bad design flaw. This puts them right there with apple hopefully Louis will see this and maybe Linus and they can put pressure on them for not fixing their product.
Anyways disappointed framework user here and i likely won't buy from them again with how they've handled this issue.

This from someone paraphrasing the goings on of a recent Woodside Circulation Committee meeting:

1. No repair of the main landslide will begin before the slide stops moving, and it is still moving. Caltrans will be evaluating the roadway tomorrow to see if one lane can be opened.
   
2. Woodside plans to install traffic signals on the narrow portion of Old La Honda Rd (OLH) to insure conflicts are prevented (it will be a dedicated one lane road). The signals will be timed with sensors.
   
3. Signage will go up in several places advising bicyclists that they should avoid OLH and Kings Mt. Rd for their safety. However, there is no legal way to prohibit bicyclists unless the road is fully closed. Woodside has been contacting any biking clubs that they know of. They have also asked Santa Clara county to do the same. They are requesting that people spread the word to any bicycling organizations that now is not a safe time to be on these roads.
   
4. A stop sign will be placed on Kings Mt. Rd where the narrow bridge has become a one-lane bridge.
   
5. A potential smaller slide was identified on 84 and they will forward the photos to CalTrans for evaluation.
   
6. The town has contacted Apple and Google to update their mapping programs. Waze is already updated.
   
7. Mutual aid from CalFire (or other jurisdictions) will help with responses time for medical emergencies.
   
8. Weight and size limit for trucks on OLH and Kings Mtn Rd will be added to avoid stuck trucks - permit needed to pass those roads, enforced by Sheriff (possible inspection for erosion)
   
9. The town, local politicians and the circulation committee understand how inconvenient the situation is and are making this work a very high priority.

So I’ve decided to build my current truck as an autobot however I’m struggling to decide whether i should use an existing G1 autobot who we haven’t seen in live action yet, (leaning towards trailbreaker) as they would appear in live action, or just creating something completely from my head, in G1 trailbreaker was a Toyota hilux my truck is a GMC sierra I know not the same but as many GM vehicles have been used I feel he would likely be a Sierra 4x4. I just want opinions from other transformers fans, on which route would be cooler to see!

We already do have that happening and have rate limits for bots.

Bigger and better models, saying better because training for more data matters more at this size regime than actually scaling up much more
You mentioned not having as much transparency about model training. But will you have a public link to watch a model train live once you've committed to training? Like how the 20b model had a page where you could watch it train live.

Hi, I am sales representative for a company who sells clothing and jewels. I am about to start travelling a lot here in the US. My boss asked me to find a good insurance company who can assist me with my case. Any suggestions?

A little background on our AAD/O365 tenancy:

• We have domainA as our primary domain. This is used for SSO, our primary email addresses, etc etc.
• We acquired another business. One of their domains (domainB) was listed in the previous parent company's AAD/O365 tenancy. The previous owner removed it from their AAD/O365 tenancy, freeing it up for us.
• We ran through the O365 "Add Domain", and set it up for Exchange Online. We updated our public DNS records, and it shows a nice green check-mark (Healthy!).
• When viewing domainB in our tenancy, we see MX, TXT and CNAME records all have status OK.

 
However, when we go into our Exchange Online admin portal, it is not listed as an Accepted Domain.
 
We waited several days just to make sure there wasn't a delay on Microsoft's end, which has been known to happen.
 
In the olden-days, the "classic" Exchange Online control panel had an option to manually add an Accepted Domain. That functionality has been removed; the process is now to run through the Add Domain wizard.. which reports everything is good, but we do not see domainB listed in our Accepted Domains for Exchange Online.
 
Exchange Shell can handle this with New-AcceptedDomain for on-prem Exchange; but that command does not exist for Exchange Online.

• A friend has loaned cash to a business, its a Ltd company in the UK & has one active director. The friend is not a director or employed by the company the money was loaned to.
  
• The loan was provided to cover the purchase of a property outright at auction as the money was needed quick.
  
• What is the correct treatment in the accounts for this type of loan? It is a long-term liability and repayable in full, interest-free.
  
• Should this be posted as a loan to the director? It wasn’t a personal loan to the director but a private loan by an individual to pay for acquiring another asset? Thanks
