I don't really know if I want advice or just a place to vent but whatever. I'm feeling really shitty right now and need to get all of it off my chest and hope I am not being crazy or awful. For background, everyone involved including myself are 25F. Ariel and I became roommates in college and lived together for a year, and then later Belle moved in to take the place of one of out other roommates. We became friends when Belle moved in to our apartment but we really became a trio a few months later. We have a shared group chat we all talk in pretty much daily and do regular facetime calls since none of us live near each other. Ariel and Belle are closer than I am to Belle but I am pretty close with Ariel. I talk to both of them on a daily basis in our group chat, but talk to Ariel more outside of the group chat. Ariel and Belle have both separately visited me (I live in a different state), with Belle visiting me in Fall 2022 (this is kinda relevant). The three of us also went on a girls trip about a year ago. A little more than a year ago, Belle got engaged to her long term boyfriend and it was very exciting. From early on there were discussions about bachelorette and general wedding details. Bridal party stuff was never mentioned, Belle always seemed pretty lowkey about adhering to wedding traditions so I didn't think much of it. I also didn't want to ask since I wasn't sure what she was doing, but I assumed if she was doing that I would be one. In retrospect, I admit this wasn't a fair assumption. It was either December or January, a good 6+ months from the engagement, when groomsmen were brought up for the first time and I privately asked Ariel about it. She told me that Belle asked her a while ago to be a bridesmaid. I felt really caught off guard; I'm not a Karen, it is totally up to Belle who she chooses for her wedding party. I also found out it was pretty small too (4 bridesmaids and 4 groomsmen), and I was also in a wedding in November and recently asked to be in another one, while Ariel has never been in a wedding. Ariel is also quite frankly a better bridesmaid than I would be: she follows wedding stuff, is super organized, and is local and able to go to more pre-wedding events. I also know Ariel and Belle are closer so I am not surprised she asked Ariel. I just felt kinda shitty, like this was being kept from me on purpose, especially since Belle came to visit me for a weekend and we talked wedding stuff and there would've been time to mention this to me, but whatever I too hate confrontation and awkward situations which is why I am here. I def was a bit insecure about it and vented a bit to Ariel when she told me, but after that I let it be. Belle made a choice, I can't even fault her for it. I have my own insecurities and that's on me to deal with. She did have a bachelorette and I was invited. It was fun. There were a couple other girls there who weren't part of the bridal party which helped, except I knew one of them was a pity invite which def got to my insecurities of being like that too. I wasn't able to make it to the bridal shower because it was too far away. Meanwhile, friendships are fine, no drama there. Since I am not local, I stayed with Ariel and rode with her to the wedding. I felt awkward with her talking about bridesmaid stuff but whatever. She had to get there the day before for the rehearsal and everything. I felt a bit awkward about being with Ariel but not invited to the rehearsal especially since some people invite out-of-state guests to that, but another friend of ours (Snow) stayed with us at the hotel so we hung out. Snow and I hung out before and during the wedding when Ariel was doing bridesmaid stuff. Here is the thing tho, Snow is a college friend but not a close one. Ariel and Belle know Snow better than me, and aren't the biggest fans of her but she was invited anyway. Our other old roommate, who again none of us are particularly close to, was invited as well and the three of us (me, Snow, and 4th roommate) hung out during the wedding. I hate to say it, but that made me feel even shittier like I was cast aside to hang out with the rejects. During the wedding, one of the groomsmen was kinda cute. I thought he was flirting with me and was into that, but he was flirting with Ariel and they ended up making out a bunch. I let me insecurities get the best of me and took advantage of the open bar, got drunk, cried a bit in the bathroom because I was feeling so shitty, and then made out with a random person (I am not proud of any of this). I don't think my jealousy was detected and it all worked out. I did hate Ariel a bit when we were driving back as she was talking about how she, and I quote, "didn't realize she was one of Belle's top four friends and thought she was fifth or sixth" which made me feel like garbage. She talked a lot about wedding stuff and the grooms family and I was soaking in hungover jealousy. Now the wedding was weeks ago so aside from hearing about it when the professional photos come out (which honestly I am dreading a bit), I thought I was in the clear and my jealousy would be better. However, Ariel and the groomsmen hit it off, went out, and are currently on a date doing the deed. Now, I am not delusional, I don't know this guy at all, am not mad or jealous of her being with him or whatever. It's just...I haven't had sex and until tonight Ariel was my only friend in the same boat. I am happy for her but its hard being a virgin at my age and feeling like shit about it. Having someone close to me who understood was nice and made me feel less alone, and now that is gone. And now it just feels like her and belle are going to go off and be BFFs who have sex and I will be the virgin loser with no friends. Plus, she met the guy because of Belle and that's always gonna be a part of it, which makes me feel like I'm being shut out of this friendship. All this jealousy and insecurities are building up and I don't know what to do. I don't want to say anything because I feel like saying something will push them, especially Ariel (I am about to move to her city and was looking forward to hanging out with her more) away but I am worried about keeping all these feelings in. And I hate having these feelings in the first place, because so much isn't valid and it's stupid and illogical and I hate them so much. It just feels like I will never grow past the insecure 12 year old who didn't have friends and was left out and I know thats not true (at least I pray to god it's not) but I don't know how to handle it. I hate to say this about a friend's wedding, but it feels like it's gonna haunt me forever and I hate how stupid that sounds. I just wish I didn't have these feelings.

Hi Reddit! Buckle up because this one is a doozy. Apologizes in advance for any typos or grammatical errors, I cannot sleep at night and I am here now. Here is the situation I (20F) have been seeing (26M) since we meet on a dating app back in November 2022.
We went on our first string of dates in December 2022 while he was in my hometown scoping some things out. That was all very fun, I felt so calm and comfortable with him. As an anxiously attached dater (who is doing her damn best at becoming secure), I was shocked to feel this way and relatively secure with someone, especially a man. We had both expressed to each other we wanted relationships.
26M moved to my city January 2023 for work. This is where things started getting different. He was acting a little more distant, I assumed it was just stress. He was telling me about how he was a bit worried and stressed. He was moving away from his hometown and away from family for the first time and was waiting on lots of money to be reimbursed to him for moving. On top of taking on a new big task at his job. Understandably stressful.
Spoke to him a few weeks later trying to have a “what are we?” type of conversation. I didn’t get to tell him what I was thinking or that I really wanted a relationship when he had told me his dating intentions has changed. Lots of stress and big changes to his life, he just thought it would be best if we stayed casual, but threw in at the end of the conversation that potentially there could be a relationship in the future. Well that little glimmer of hope left me to hold on. That conversation really took me a back though.
For some more context on the life changes, he initially was thinking he would be in my town for a few years but shortly after moving to my town learned he would be leaving by the end of December this year.
Dating causally has never really been my thing, but I really wanted to try and make it work. It has never really been my thing because I am put up A LOT of guards to try and protect myself. This wasn’t something I realized I was doing until a couple months into this causal relationship.
Anyways back to the story, since him moving here and that January conversation, he has not been treating me the same. I get it, different dating intentions than before and the meeting someone new butterflies have probably worn off. However, I was, and to extent still am very much emotionally invested into this man. Hell I was getting ready to the “what are we?” talk.
We have been seeing each other since then though about once every two weeks. No more physical intimacy though, not even kissing, occasionally cuddling. I really like him and genuinely care about him. We do not keep up a whole lot of talking and connection in between dates but a text or two a day. He really seems to show up for me more when we are together in person though.
He has gotten word that he is to move likely before the end of the month back to his hometown. I am happy he gets to be back home but obviously upset he is further away from me. He sent me a text telling me about him needing to move for work again as I was boarding a plane to go on a transcontinental vacation for a few weeks. He doesn’t know exactly when he is moving yet, as it is being paid for by his work. I may or may not see him in town again as I will still be on vacation.
Honestly, I am down to do long distance with him. We need to hash somethings out before we do decide to do that and set some ground rules. A big thing I think would be for us to be exclusive. I want a relationship, I do not think I ever fully convinced myself I would want to casually date him. I want to date date him. I was trying to gear myself up to tell him that and that I want to support him and his carrer, even though it can be chaotic and he is likely going to be forced to move within the county a couple more times in the next couple years. I understand that his carrer is extremely important to him. On the other hand I also wanted to say that I am going to need to be able to develop myself, finish my education, and have a career myself independent of his but I think we could make something work if we both put in effort.
I was thinking I had at least another five months to spend with him in my town but that’s not going to happen. I honestly cannot believe I didn’t tell him this sooner but I was nervous because I really do like him, it’s not in my character for me to get cold feet like this. I regret it immensely, almost to the point I am having a hard time enjoying my vacation now. I cried for a good part of last night as that’s when it all hit me. this night so far nothing, so I am proud of myself for that :)
He is a hard guy to read emotionally sometimes and I just worry that I care about him a lot more than he cares about me. I also do not want to try and change him or force him into a relationship for my pleasure and sake. That’s unfair to him.
For some more context his hometown is about a three hour flight from mine and not very accessible by any other means. I have worked it out that I could see he likely as often as every other weekend if I wanted to.
I tired to express to him a few months ago that when he were to move I would be down to do distance and I could see him often as my family comes from some money. However, I was being vague about it and I think he misinterpreted that. I didn’t really want to correct him as I do not like talking about my family’s money situation. I will say, I also do not do all that bad for myself either, especially as someone who is 20. I could fund these trips myself if it came down to it as well.
I feel like a bitch for having all the causal dating guards up and not really being my true self as to not get hurt (I am going to be hurt anyways so do not know why I did that) anyways, I feel like the guards suck the life and personality out of me and I guess I just wish I could show him more of the true me. I did not do anything I do not agree with morally, or being rude. Just holding back some feelings as to not smoother him. I really tried taking them down about two months ago after realizing this, it’s been hard but of course how that I finally feel like I am getting close to doing it, he is leaving town.
While we have been seeing each other causally, I have been on probably two dozen first, second, and the occasional third dates but I still keep thinking about this guy.
So Reddit, What do I do? Tell him how I feel even though I feel it likely that my feelings aren’t going to be reciprocated?
If I do want to tell him, how do I tell him? Do I hope that he is home when I get back? Do I leave him a voicemail? Express mail a letter from the other side of the world?
What do I tell him and what should I do?

Hello moms, I need your help/guidance. I have been with my husband for almost 8 years and married just over a year and am at a standstill.
We have a 4m old son together. I, unfortunately, lost my high paying remote job a couple weeks before our wedding date last year. I thought I’d be able to find work again quick bc I have my MBA but I got pregnant a few weeks after we got married and my first trimester was a nightmare to say the least so I haven’t worked since April 2022.
A few job opportunities fell through last minute for me so I didn’t work the entire time I was pregnant. My husband was never pleased with this, though I tried my best to keep up with all the household duties in return.
My husband works remotely as a software engineer and makes around $135k and we live in a rural part of AL, so you’d think finances wouldn’t really be a struggle for us. Technically it’s not, but I think a part of him felt used or taken for granted because I never found work even though I tried and have always been thankful and appreciative of him.
To make matters worse, the first few months our son was born he was not supportive. He barely helped me with our son. He said it wasn’t his responsibility and I think he felt detached bc if my son wasn’t sleeping or nursing he was crying. Which of course is typical of a newborn but my husband failed to really understand that. I would beg him to feed our son or hang out with him and he just wouldn’t.
Only recently we started going to couples counseling and he agreed he would start watching our son for 1 hour a day. He hasn’t done this consistently but at least does it maybe 4-5 times a week. The problem is once his hour is over he doesn’t think he has any more responsibilities with our son.
Today, my mother-in-law watched our son for a few hours and it was the first time since my son was born that my husband and I got alone time. That almost didn’t happen tho bc his friend is in town visiting and he wanted to hang with him instead. Priorities right? He did end up taking me out to a bar and grill type place for a drink and appetizer, which was nice I suppose. But after we picked up our son, he went to dinner and hung out with his friend, and he’s still doing that right now as I’ve tried for the last 2 hours to get our son to sleep.
Normally, I’m fine with him hanging with a friend, but it’s just frustrating living with someone who is supposed to be your spouse but chooses to hardly ever be around you. I understand him working til 4:30ish every weekday but after that he rarely spends time with us. I just don’t know if this is normal. It feels lonely honestly. All my family lives on the west coast so I’m really here alone just for him. I understand we are under the same roof everyday which can be tedious, but to be fair, his office is downstairs and I’m upstairs all day so there is a little bit of separation.
Even if we work on our relationship though, I can’t make my husband want to spend more time with me or our son. I just don’t know what to do. As a SAHM I feel stuck and don’t know if anything will actually ever change. I also don’t know if it’s normal for a spouse/new dad to be this way. Any help, advice or suggestions are welcomed. I fucking hate myself. With a passion. I look back on my entire life with regret. I’m 21 years old and I feel like a lost scared child. My social anxiety is through the roof. Something as simple as going for a grocery run comes with unbearable levels of anxiety related to how others will judge me. Meanwhile, I’m extremely judgmental and I hate myself for that. I grew up without friends. The few that I have made throughout life always seem to leave me or lose interest and have better things to do with their lives. Knowing and hating myself so much, how can I blame them? My entire time in elementary school and high school I ate lunch alone and stood in the corner alone watching other kids play at recess. I’m lonely beyond belief. I just want someone to like me for me, no strings attached. I’ve grown up the product of overbearing parents that spoiled and shielded me from any discomfort encouraging my lack of social skills and life experiences. They are more supportive than anyone you’ll ever meet, but I just end up hating them for it. Their love sickens me. I crave it from anyone else. I blame them for the way I am and I hate myself for that too. I have jealousy for almost everyone I see. Appearance, relationship status, happiness, I covet the whole 9 yards. I hate my appearance. Even after losing 60 pounds and maintaining a steady 140 Ibs, I lack the resolve or energy to build any muscle and maintain a below-average face. I have become a hopeless romantic. I dream of being in a relationship with someone. I feel like it’s one of the few things left that might bring meaning to my life. It’s one of the only reasons I keep going. But my standards are way out of my league and I care too much about physical attractiveness (I am extremely attracted to smaller skinny women which in all honesty are often in the higher leagues of dating) how could someone who hates themselves so much ever be in a healthy loving relationship though? Not to mention that my looks, social anxiety, and lack of independence aren’t doing me any favors. I’ve been around every dating app you can think of for the past 6 months with not a thing to show for it. The one girl I did talk with for a few weeks left without comment as soon as I sent her pictures of my face. (This was on my birthday no less so that quickly turned sour) I’ve been trying like hell to reinvent myself. Back at the beginning of 2022, I became greatly unsatisfied with my life. I realized had I died today my regrets would be boundless, and that in a way they already were. I worked to move out of the terminally online state the pandemic had put me in. Got my first job, started driving, went to community college, and did weekly therapy, heck I even did weekly ketamine treatments, but the hole in my heart just grew deeper. This year I’ve pushed myself to get out of the house and out of my comfort zone more than ever going to concerts, meetup events, and joining a social bowling league, but I’m still stuck in the same pit of loneliness. I feel dead inside like a jealous husk walking among the living. I can see a small improvement but I’m so fucking done waiting. I feel like I’ve worked my ass off and the ends don’t justify the means. If you could tell by now I’m an impatient perfectionist (yes I hate myself for that too) and I cannot accept a mediocre life. My ambitions and expectations for life leave me disillusioned with reality. My problems are nothing compared to others. I feel like a spoiled brat who needs to just accept that the world is full of suffering and life is not fair but I can’t. So what choice do I have? End it all? I have so much I wish I could do in this life. But I also know myself well enough to know it’s all a pipe dream. I’m at the end of my rope, I just don’t know what to do anymore.

In June of 2021, a new company, Texas Sigma Partners LLC, moved into the little town of Winnsboro bringing opportunity for growth both physically and financially, as well as high paying jobs for the citizens of Winnsboro and it's surrounding residents. Most positions were filled fairly quickly and production started up.
TSP is a sister plant, subsid if you will, of the south Tx Sigma Agriculture that brings in well over 6+ million in revenue each year while researching , manufacturing and producing the most up to date, highest quality organic fertilizer that's available in North America. At this plant specifically, its comprised of chicken litter (poop) , natural molasses, and a binder ingredient that consists of things like bacteria, carbon, etc. All organic according to their website.
Very shortly after production started, about 27 older, long time citizens of the town started complaining of an "odor" emitting from the building, and having a hard time breathing and or enjoying their homes. Around this time, unfortunately one of the portions of the plant caught fire and caused one of the scrubbers to go out. During the fire, no one including WFD was worried due to their not being any major chemicals in the building that would explode, unlike many other plants located in Winnsboro. The group of boomers though, didn't let the opportunity slide. They managed to call and complain to TCEQ, the environmental QC of Tx, so much so that they were forced to run air , water and other tests. A few of them flooded the City Council meetings with lack luster tantrums filled with misleading or even half truthful information stating that the plant is in so many violations and a nuisance to the town, and even shutting business down. They continued to demand that the City Council shut the plant down or remove it, which is something they have no control over.
TCEQ ran every test they could think of and found that TSP was in fact in violation of a few codes and things but nothing worth an immediate shut down. Stuff like a few extra parts per million over allowed standards. Sigma immediately began the process to remedy those mistakes so that production could continue and no one would lose their jobs. Part of that of course, was getting the equipment replaced that "happened" to catch fire, ironically, the same equipment used to decrease the output of stench associated with the chicken litter. This is where it starts to get wildly interesting.
At this point, the boomers refused to let it go. They ended up hiring an "outside party" to come in and tests ALL SORTS of stuff. Run off water, air quality, you name it. And wouldn't ya know it, the results came back that TSP was in massive amounts of violations. Shortly after, the ring leader of the "sick " boomers, and a few other people, hired a Tyler law firm and proceeded to sue Sigma with the ultimate goal of a complete shut down and financial restitution for their "troubles" and "injuries". They went to court and the judge (Wood County) ordered that TSP operations be temporarily suspended until the remedies were complete and or further testing could be done with clean results.
TSP did just that. Spent well over a million on new equipment, new scrubbers, filters and even went as far as to raise the steam stacks (during processing, the mixture is heated to help combine ingredients. Not burned, just heated which emits mild steam that then leaves the stacks) so that it was high enough not to cause odor for the city. Now , in order to have the final stack test done, the plant has to be operational for 45 days. The judge granted them to do so for that. And the complaints started pouring in again.
I am going to list some facts real quick to help paint a picture.
-TSP is located in the designated industrial complex of Winnsboro in the furthest building from town.
-They are neighbors to multiple fowl smelling plants including a milk/cheese/dairy plant called Keller's Creamery (which sprays rotten/spoiled milk onto its surrounding fields), a twice weekly active Sale Barn that sees thousands of farm animals a week, a stone manufacturer , a feed mill that houses Ammonium Nitrate , the Cities Rodeo Arena and so many other things.
-Winnsboro and its surrounding counties have over 100+ dairy and chicken farms that residents of the area have described smelling for over 20+ years.
- The area is also known for its vast expansion of hay fields that are regularly sprayed with potent manure through the year (fertilizer) to promote growth.
From what I have been able to read on public forums, it seems the complaining group continued to complain about it way past the plants operational hours, and even during the time when they were completely shut down by the injunction. Recently , now that the plant is operating in prep for the test, someone was observed ranting about it on a Sunday morning. The boomers were still convinced that the plant was operating and continuously tried to convince others with zero proof. A resident posted the open/close hours and expressed that it couldn't possibly be the plant because they didn't operate on weekends, and the boomers continued to ignore the facts and attacked the resident. One of them, the above mentioned ring leader, has just recently said she is having to have "major heart surgery because of the fumes from the plant". When questioned by what I believe to be the same resident of the area , they became defensive and argumentative. Over the last few weeks, I have seen several new commenters that are for the plant and its workers show up to discuss it on the forums.
Get this though, the suit was filed on 04/25/2022 claiming Injury/Damages. That was over a year ago and if I have my time line correct, they were barely operational if at all. And no one has complained about it , other than the boomers about the smell. I have TONS of questions.

1. How can you file a suit for injury/damages when no one had been injured at the time, just "annoyed"?
2. If the plant and its fumes are truly that toxic, why hasn't any of the staff been affected or sick yet? Should they be questioned or had physical's done for their own safety? Some of the contributors to the forums have worked their for over 6+ months. They are perfectly healthy.
3. Winnsboro is made up of over 3000 active residents, so why only 27 plaintiff's if its causing quality of life to be essentially non-existent?
4. Why is this an injury/damage suit instead of TCEQ violations/environmental havoc/EPA suit?
5. Where even is the Environmental Agencies if this is a toxic plant harming people?
6. Why would the residents complain about the smell of a chicken litter plant when surrounded by countless chicken and dairy farms already? I have noticed several citizens have mentioned its not worse than those and most hardly even know the difference.
7. Is it legal to claim that the plant is causing you to have heart surgery without substantial proof of that? To add to that, wouldn't you assume that your medical records would be subpoenaed during an injury trial? What's the consequence for lying?
8. Has there been an investigation into the where-a-bouts of the complaining citizens the day of the fire? Could they have caused it on purpose?
9. Why in the world would residents try to run a business out of town that offers growth and financial gain?
10. Wouldn't you want and welcome outsiders to your town to generate revenue and what not? Do they not know that attacking whoever they don't like with lies and excuses causes the town to have a bad rep? Aside from the fact that there are more churches than stores in the whole town which proves they are set in their ways.

With all this , even as little information that is here, I believe it's safe to say that something isn't adding up here and it needs to catch widespread attention. From the info I have gathered, the plant has not purposely done anything to anyone and they have made overwhelming efforts to fix what little mistakes were made and be in total compliance. Additionally, considering the geographical and agricultural area the town sits in, its possible the "bad odor" residents keep complaining about may not in fact be from that specific plant.

With Reddit going public soon and the way Admins are making me nervous, I finally got around to snagging abuseinterrupted.com and I am looking into migrating the subreddit posts, etc. over there.
I'm not about to lose over a decade of my work over someone's whims. The reason I even have a subreddit in the first place is that Google cancelled my beloved Google Reader (with Google Notes) integration, and I didn't have time for writing anymore what with being a new parent.
I don't have a 'plan' other than to not lose my work and the resources I reference, maybe build out some digital downloads, and actually put together better videos as resources (versus me ad hoc during the pandemic).
This is all very provisional at this stage. But for those of you that have a favorite post that was a life saver or that you forward to friends, my goal is to have it preserved on a platform within my relatively complete control.
That said, I am not a tech person, and it looks like Reddit has revoked Pushshift's API access, so if anyone has ideas for archival, I am literally all ears.

He's got a theory that part of the reason why Reddit is cracking down on API access is so that there isn't open access to Reddit's complete data set (such as deleted posts and comments) as there was with Removeddit, etc. It allows Reddit to have admin-level privileges and access to information without it being essentially open to discovery. Which is a decision that actually makes sense to me from an Admin perspective with their going public.

Me and my (ex)friend are in our 20s. Anyone can apply to annex their land into Qarsherskiy's overseas territories and appoint a leader. Qarsherskiy has a few problems though and isn't all perfect. A few problems include:
-Qarsherskiy isn't recognized by any country and the Qarsherskiy Passport is useless because of this
-Qarsherskiy had to fight a group of neo-Nazis but the USA would've invaded and shut Qarsherskiy down so they could only use water balloons and nerf guns, which are harmless, and it took 2 months for Qarsherskiy to win
-Alawite separatist movements with plans to overthrow the sultan exist, and you've probably seen the alawite separatists on Tiktok working with Atheists and Christians to make videos doing shirk and worshipping Ali, Kanye West, Bashar Al Assad, and Isa (PBUH).
-Qarsherskiy's sultan is 17 and a Muslim convert, and it has been hard for him to study the deen as Shi'a and Sunni Muslims constantly argued and tried to get him to side up with one or the other, creating confusion in him, despite being a Sunni
-The Ahmadiyya/Qadiani community in Qarsherskiy is trying to destroy the country because they are labelled as kafirs by every based Qarsherskiyan.
-Qarsherskiy's internet prominence has shrunken by 48% and few people support or even know about Qarsherskiy
-Despite defeating the neo-Nazis, Qarsherskiy still deals with "lone-wolf" neo-Nazi attacks on their trade routes that connect Qarsherskiy to the USA and Canadian global market economies
-Qarsherskiy's Autonomous overseas province of IslamOhio Beach on the coast of Lake Erie between Vermilion and Lorain, Ohio has been under surveillance by the police due to suspected smuggling allegations as locals exported Opium poppies across Lake Erie to Canada. (It also has a problem with a struggle to fairly elect a new local leader but that's being worked on.)
