2023.06.07 03:43 Expensive-Two-8128 My mind cannot be changed: There has never been a better, more worthy leader to trust COMPLETELY with BILLIONS (and soon-to-be TRILLIONS) of our hard-earned money — Entrepreneur.com Article by Ryan Cohen, May 4, 2020
A note before RC’s article below: If you are ever fearful, uncertain, and/or doubtful about GameStop’s ability to overcome the parasitic criminal shorts, JUST REMEMBER: THIS is the man we’ve entrusted with BILLIONS of dollars. Read it, read it again, and then watch the FUD completely evaporate Link to original article: https://archive.is/eYGpg By Ryan Cohen May 4, 2020
Everything I know — from empathy to the principles of making money — I learned by following in the footsteps of my late father, Ted Cohen. We spoke for hours every day. He was, and always will be, my best friend, advisor and biggest advocate. A successful glassware importer with an impeccable work ethic, my father never missed a day on the job. If he were here today, he’d be worried about the millions of unemployed and struggling businesses across the country. The warehouse workers, drivers, construction workers and small-business owners — those are the people he respected most. Looking back on his life and influence, the following five principles he showed me were critical to my success building Chewy.com and investing.
Watch your expenses Disciplined capital allocation is one of the most important skills for running a successful business. Thanks to my father, I had the privilege of learning this firsthand. He kept track of every expense —his power bills, daily gasoline prices that impacted transportation costs, the individual prices of hundreds of glassware products that he sold. My father also kept tabs on Chewy’s metrics. He memorized the key performance indicators in both of our businesses.
At Chewy, we had maniacal discipline when it came to how we spent money. The company-wide culture of frugality came from his example. Free cash flow was our unwavering governor of growth. We grew Chewy from $200 million in sales in 2013 to $3.5 billion in 2018 while spending only $130 million in capital, all of which went into opening distribution centers across the country and acquiring new customers.
Delight your customers My father always repeated this quote from his own father: “If you take a carload of this (pointing to a pallet of glassware) you’ll make more money. But if you take a carload of that (pointing to a different pallet), you’ll make less money, but you’ll keep the customer. So, take a carload of that.”
When we started Chewy in 2011, selling pet food online wasn’t a novel idea. The field was crowded with competitors, including Amazon. But our mission was to delight customers in a more personal way. We believed combining the experience of the neighborhood pet store with the convenience of shopping online was a key differentiator. The focus was fast shipping, competitive pricing and providing customers with a hyper-specialized experience. My father showed me how building lifelong relationships with customers was far more valuable than optimizing for short-term profits.
Be the person others want to follow My father led by example, but not in a deliberate way. It’s who he was. He never patronized anyone. He admired the blue-collar worker. I watched him roll up his sleeves and help his employees move shipments of glassware from trucks into the warehouse, then put his suit jacket back on, shirt drenched in sweat, and do administrative work. I’ve never seen anyone work harder.
I was fortunate to find employees at Chewy who worked relentlessly to grow the company from a three-person operation to a household brand with more than 10,000 employees. We didn’t disrupt the pet industry by accident. Our team made huge sacrifices. We opened our first fulfillment center in early 2014, and everything from the warehouse management system to the Wi-Fi would constantly break down. The team worked 16-hour days for weeks until our supply chain was humming. Everyone from the fulfillment staff to the directors and executives were committed to Chewy’s success. You don’t get that level of dedication by leading through fear. My father always said, “You catch more bees with honey than with vinegar.”
Take the long view My father was never looking to make a quick buck. He had no interest in material possessions. Every year, through thick and thin, he invested his savings into the stock market. He believed the real money was made through time in the market, not timing the market. When I was 13, he gave me a chart comparing real estate to stock market returns since the 1920s. Real estate annualized returns were around 4 percent, and the stock market was around 9 percent. It didn’t take long for me to figure out which I preferred. I’ve been investing ever since. My father never invested in any fancy funds or paid management fees. He bought blue chip companies and held them forever. His 20-year annualized stock returns were over 10 percent. He never borrowed money or paid interest.
As we scaled Chewy, many advised us to slow down and raise prices. We disagreed. Key to our success was obsessing over customers and market leadership. Over the long term, customers and profits intersect.
Trust yourself Entrepreneurs don’t operate with a handbook. My father taught me how to be independent and trust my own moral compass. He encouraged me to separate myself from the herd and think critically. When I told him I had no desire to go to college, he shrugged. Whether he agreed with my decisions or not, he supported me unconditionally. Letting me make my own decisions sowed the seeds for me to become an entrepreneur. The confidence to never compromise my vision of building Chewy into the largest pet retailer came from knowing if I failed, he would always love me.
For 45 years, he was the first employee to open his office and last one to leave. He showed me how perseverance and discipline ultimately pay off. Not only was his work ethic unmatched, so was his commitment to family. He gave me unconditional love and showed me how to be a father. Above all, he taught me that the best decisions come from heart, instincts and empathy.
Dad, I will forever be grateful.
Ryan Cohen is the founder and former CEO of Chewy.com, a company he started when he was 25 years old. In 2017, Cohen made history when he sold Chewy to PetSmart for $3.35 billion in the largest ecommerce deal in history. In 2019, Chewy went public at a valuation of $8.7 billion.

2023.06.07 02:55 turtleguy2412 [Chapter 7] Going on a Trip in our Favorite Rocket Ship
Welcome to the endgame, my little woomies.
It's time to chase Grizz into the final frontier - S P A C E ! ! !
A rocket has been built, and it will take you to the moon. IF... it can get there in one piece. There isn't much fuel, and since rockets can't be built in a day the construction might be... a little haywire. Once the launch videos hit the airwaves, Grizz is sure to send some form of interference. Defend the ship for the entire launch, or else... we might find out how well Inklings can survive in the vaccuum of space. (Shhhp I know that New 3 already did it but I kinda dislike that mission and specifically designed this map to be a counter to that one)
Map gimmicks:
It'll take 12 turns for the ship to reach its destination. Survive until then.
GrizzBots will spawn on random tiles. They will act like Salmonid (This is a Salmon Run style map), though they will additionally target the fuel ports (Black Circle things) and will take out fuel spheres (Golden Eggs) if they can reach them. The fuel can be returned to the ports if the thief is defeated. If more than 12 Fuel Orbs are out of the ports at a given time... GAME OVER.
The map is set on a cylindrical rocket. Since there is no gravity, you can use the entire cylinder for movement. This map wraps around, from column A to column L. Attack, Turf, Specials, Subweapons... all of it can wrap around like any other form of move.
Tiles F16 and G16 connect to F13 and G13. (The doors can be traveled through)
Tiles A29 and L29 connect to A26 and L26. (The doors can be traveled through)
Another mechanic! Whatever could I be hiding? How sus of me. Wink.
WAVE 1: What is described above.

2023.06.07 02:21 Ritterbruder2 Instrumental case in Indo-European languages
I've been studying Russian going on for two years now. Of course, the instrumental case was a huge learning curve for me. Among its many uses are:
- Instrument of an action (name sake of the case)
- Agent of a passive voice construct
- With numerous prepositions "with", "between", "over", "in front of" etc
All of these functions appear to be shared in the (few) other IE languages which have an instrumental, like Sanskrit.
However, there is one important function of the Russian instrumental case which I cannot find being used in other languages. I like to think of it as "instrumental of association". When A is somehow associated with B, then B must be in the instrumental.
For example, in all of the following expressions, the italicized word would be inflected in the instrumental case:
- I want to become a police officer when I grow up.
- Smoking constitutes a bad habit.
- I consider myself an experienced driver.
- Kevin McCarthy was named Speaker of the House.
- We chose this company as our supplier.
- Please keep the door closed.
Even my Russian textbook never explained it. Instead it has you rote-memorizing certain verbs pertaining to association that must always take an instrumental object (e.g.
to become, to constitute, to name, etc).
Is this function of the instrumental case found in any other languages?

2023.06.07 02:21 NoSneezePlz Bloons TD 6 - Update Notes! Version 37.0
| https://preview.redd.it/0ko9r0ktoh4b1.png?width=840&format=png&auto=webp&s=d366457be60997a8f03ca838d5c3eacef9cacf8d Bloons TD 6 v37.0 - Update Notes! Rolling out now on iOS, Android, Steam please restart your storefront or be patient if it does not appear for you, these updates can take some time to be rolled out to every region due to how the storefronts are set up. Check out the more awesomer update video here. Key New Features - New Paragon - The Magus Perfectus! (loves casting spells) Some of you know we teased this last year, but we needed more time to balance the art and design required to make this extra special, so we are very pleased to get this live! Wizard Monkey’s Paragon is designed to be a higher level strategic Paragon with powerful ability usage similar to the Doomship.
- The core of the Magus is a toggle to and from a Draining Beam which deals very small single target damage but absorbs graveyard mana as it damages and destroys Bloons
- While toggled off from the Drain Beam, Magus attacks with a powerful Arcane Spike that deals massive damage to MOABs and revives Bloons it slays, while a Dark Phoenix circles overhead attacking with Firebomb breath and a radial fireball attack
- Phoenix Explosion Ability: can be cast to consume the Paragon’s entire graveyard to set all Bloons on screen on fire for 30 seconds and summon one Zombie ZOMG for every 9000 graveyard mana consumed
- Arcane Metamorphosis Ability: can be used to consume all graveyard mana and transform the Magus briefly into an alternate form which decimates everything with a flame cascade attack; Metamorphosis lasts longer the more mana it consumes
- Magus was designed for armchair play so it will fill and consume graveyard mana on its own, but our goal was to create more actively controlled Paragon for those who will enjoy microing between Beam on and off and choosing which awesome Ability to unleash and when
New Awesome - Happy Birthday BTD6 - On June 14th, BTD6 will celebrate 5 years of monkeytastic fun and strategy! We hope you’ll join us for the main menu changes, skinned Collection event, special Questing, and general celebration. Thank you for five amazing years and we’re looking forward to all the years ahead!
- New Hero Skin - Jiangshi Sauda, a fun new cross-cultural look for Sauda brainstormed by the art team, mixing inspirations from a favorite show and Chinese folklore
- New Map - Erosion
- Community designed advanced map Erosion by “I am not an artist” ~ u/TheWiseTroll
- TheWiseTroll’s original concept proposed land and water but when thinking about map colors and the little stories we think of behind each map, the concept of the polar bear walking back with the shrinking ice was too compelling to do anything else
- New Quests
- Birthday Party - Pop the Party Bloon as many times as you can before it escapes
- Blade Sauda Nowhere - Try out Sauda and learn some of her skills
- Patch’s Cheap Chimps Challenge - Beat Logs with as little cash spent as you can
- Striken Bad - Defeat the BAD on round 100 using First Strike. The spelling hurts us, too, you’re not the only one - but we had to do it!
- Least Cash and Least Tier Boss Events
- We’ve heard feedback about and have been wanting to shake up Boss rules, so here we go!
- Applying new victory conditions to Boss Events completely changes the focus while still needing the damage output and type to handle each Boss
- Time still matters, as the secondary time score will break any ties
- New Trophy Store Items
- Heroes: Geraldo Pack Mule pet, Quincy Spec Ops Drop In placement
- Monkeys: Sweden Village Flag
- Bloons: Party Hat Bloons
- Game & UI: Vortex Avatar, Sunset Samba 64 Mix music track, Quincy Arrows banner
- Nexus.gg Creator Supporter Avatar - show your support for Content Creators by using the Creator Support button on the Settings screen and purchasing any IAP
- Limited Time only {trophy items if there’s a seasonal}
- 5 Year Anniversary Avatar, 5 Year Anniversary Banner
- New CT Team Store items
- Base Props: Treasure Chest
- Icons: Overclock icon, Archmage Staff icon
- Frames: Bloon From The Dead frame, Mage Hat frame
- New Slider
- Everybody loves sliders, right?
- After lots of discussion on the team and a fair few player requests, we’ve added a ‘Projectile and Effects Scaling’ accessibility option to main menu Settings
- This is primarily for accessibility to minimize the size and brightness of projectiles and effects, especially when the screen is crowded with Monkeys and Bloons
- This is not directly a performance improvement feature, so please do not expect the game to run noticeably better - just noticeably cleaner
- We tried not to remove key game state indicators but this is ultimately in player control - if you adjust the slider and effects and projectiles make it harder to play the game, please reset the slider until the game is working the way you want
- It’s also really fun for silly screengrabs, so please post your favorites!
News - Anniversary Giveaways! https://preview.redd.it/27pjluypoh4b1.png?width=350&format=png&auto=webp&s=265a9a9a1456e7323d224938edcbaa995cd35d3c We would also like to formally announce that we will be doing a week of giveaways on our Twitter starting next Monday NZT to celebrate the BTD6 5 year anniversary! 5 winners will be picked randomly each day for 5 days to win an awesome prize from our merch store. This will be exclusive to Twitter so make sure to follow us here to be involved! Game Changes / Additions - New Party Time game theme event!
- Refactored how leaderboard scores are stored so that we could add Least Cash/Tiers ranking options for Boss Events
- Bosses on spawn will now clear the map of all existing projectiles

- Chromebook: Game no longer crashes if attempting to login via webview

Balance Changes Boomerang Monkey This part has to be included along with the Lych Soul rework with Paragons which is finally making it in this update after necessary delays. As Boomerang Paragon’s knockback hits so many times so quickly, we need to make it more reasonable when applied to targets that aren’t immediately destroyed. - Boomerang Paragon knockback amount reduced 3 > 1
Bomb Shooter MOAB Assassin fills a useful role of a pure long cooldown ‘single target assassination’ in the game, but when compared to something like First Strike it feels a little lacking that it is unable to carry damage through MOAB Layers - x4x MOAB Assassin ability passes through MOAB layers
- x4x MOAB Assassin ability explosion centers around the impact target
Tack Shooter Blade Shooter has always struggled to find much value without MK or as a step to Maelstrom, so to give it build value on its own we feel like this should be a part of the base value on the upgrade. - x3x Blade Shooter pierce increased from 6 > 8
Ice Monkey Lowest tiers of ice monkey are far too effective for their cost against ceramics, with this scaling well all the way to round 100, we feel like ice duration against ceramics needs to be reduced to counter this but for now this reduction will only apply until T3. - 000 Ice Monkey freeze duration reduced by 50% on ceramics
- All T3 Ice Monkeys increase freeze duration on ceramics from 50 > 100%
- 203 Icicles crosspath now gains camo prio
Glue Gunner The Bloon Solver’s rework has been very popular, however, we’d like to have a better lead up into the new mechanics by introducing this earlier at the tier 4 now. - 4xx Bloon Dissolver now creates puddles on track leading up to Bloon Solver, puddles deal 1 damage, all other stats and crosspath benefits are the same.
Sniper Monkey This will allow Cripple MOAB to take out regular MOAB layers in one shot until round 100; for such a slow attacking single target tower we feel this will help top path flex, even if mostly for show. - 5xx Cripple MOAB damage increased from 80 > 280
Monkey Buccaneer Reworking Grape Shot crosspathing as it gains far too much crosspath value by T2 but then is lacking in purpose at higher tiers, double shot will only work as one extra grape however Destroyer will now apply its full attack rate buff to the grapes and Flagship will equip aspects of Grape Shot on the mini planes. - 210 Grape Shot total projectiles reduced from 10 -> 6
- 310 Destroyer also reduced from 10 > 6 grapes
- 310 Destroyer now increases grape attack rate twice as much, matching increase to the regular attack
- 410 Aircraft Carrier planes radial attack now fires an arc of grapes instead of darts
- 410 Aircraft Carrier planes radial Emission Angle 360 > 90
- 410 Aircraft Carrier planes radial projectile count 8 > 6
- 410 Aircraft Carrier plane grape projectile speed 100 > 200
- 420 Aircraft Carrier planes radial projectile art: dart > hot grape
- 420 Aircraft Carrier planes radial damage type Sharp > Fire
- 400 Aircraft Carrier plane radials damage 1 > 2
- 4xx Aircraft Carrier missiles now follow tower target priority
Monkey Ace Spectre is shifting a little of the ceramic bonus around into basic all damage at the cost of reduced pierce, which should make up for lack of single target damage while also making the pierce crosspath more necessary when being used for cleanup focus. - xx4 Spectre Dart damage increased 3 > 4
- xx4 Spectre Dart ceramic bonus reduced 2 > 1
- xx4 Spectre Dart pierce reduced 15 > 10
- xx4 Spectre Bomb damage increased 2 > 3
- xx4 Spectre Bomb ceramic bonus reduced 4 > 3
- xx4 Spectre Bomb pierce reduced 30 > 20
Heli Pilot Even with the map-range advantage, rotors are weak compared to any other constant AoE circle like this. Chinook feels like it’s near a place we are happy with now, however we want another tiny nudge on cost while keeping cash generation value the same. Pushing some higher values on the last Comanche Commander changes as the missile attack is effectively such a small portion of the tower’s total damage late game. - 302 Razor Rotors will now benefit from the faster firing crosspath
- 3xx Razor Rotors cooldown rate 0.75 > 0.5
- x4x Support Chinook price reduced from $10500 > 9500
- x4x Support Chinook supply crate cash generated reduced $1650 > 1,550
- x4x Support Chinook max uses per round reduced from 3 > 2
- xx4 & xx5 Comanche mini's follow the target priority set on their main Heli
- xx5 Comanche Commander missile damage 7 > 15
- xx5 Comanche Commander missile moab bonus 5 > 8
- xx5 Comanche Commander mini's missile dmg 5 > 15

Mortar Monkey As the Rapid Reload crosspath has actually fallen behind in value compared to Burny Stuff for top path Mortars we want to try a slight stun duration increase as this buffs the base path with a larger benefit to Rapid Reload mortars as a stalling option. Mortar consistency is lacking at x3x making it tough to spend on even though x4x is fairly good, so some of the T4 rate is shifting down to help out with this. As the camo property has grown quite weak and currently Signal Flare is considered the best decamo tool, we want to push back slightly on its cost and by reducing the blast radius of the decamo area while emphasizing crosspathing for effectiveness there. - 4xx The Big One stun duration non-MOABs increased from 0.5s > 0.75
- 5xx The Biggest One stun duration MOAB increased from 0.3s > 0.5
- 5xx The Biggest One stun duration BFB increased from 0.2s > 0.3
- 5xx The Biggest One stun duration DDT increased from 0.2s > 0.3
- x3x Heavy Shells attack delay reduced from 1.08 > 0.81
- x4x Artillery Battery attack rate buff reduced from ¼ to ⅓ (remains the same rate: 0.27)
- xx3 Signal flare cost increased $700 > 800
- xx4 Shattering Shells price reduced from $11,000 > 10900
- xx3 Signal Flare decamo radius reduced from 50 > 43
- 103 Signal Flare decamo pierce increased by 5 > 10
- xx4 Shattering Shells burn DoT deals moab bonus +5
Super Monkey As Engineer sentries do this already, newly spawned Mini Avatars from temples will now by default match the target priority of the temple. - 4xx Sun Temple's Magic Sacrifice mini Sun Avatars when placed will spawn with the same target prio as their parent tower
Ninja Monkey We’re changing the Ninja Monkey Paragon’s focus as a fighter against camo, as we feel like a greater strength and tactical value against camo will be the full reveal of all camos rather than all camo removal. - Ascended Shadow now grants global camo detection for all your towers
- Ascended Shadow no longer strips camo from Bloons with every attack
- Ascended Shadow main attack gains bonus to camo +6
- Ascended Shadow Flash Bomb Explosion gains bonus to camo +20
- Ascended Shadow Flash Bomb Shurikens gains bonus to camo +16

- Ascended Shadow now deals 25% damage to all non-Boss MOABs that spawn
Alchemist Alchemist Transforming Tonic is in a weird spot with the transformation unable to attack through walls when the base alchemist is able to. Also with this, including a QoL fix for the T5 that currently prevents transformed towers from functioning with target priority. - x4x Transforming Tonic transformed alchemist can now ignore line of sight
- x5x Total Transformation towers transformed by the x5x will keep their Target Priority
Druid While the tornado doesn't do anything to MOABs, it still spends itself on them which wastes a relatively long cooldown, so addressing this flaw. Avatar of wrath doubles the base attack speed before any scaling is applied, but this hasn’t ever applied to the 205 Lightning, so taking care of that as well. Housekeeping - even deep in the forest, it does actually make life better. - 3xx Druid of the Storm’s Tornado no longer targets MOAB-class Bloons
- x3x Druid of the Jungle no longer pops Lead Bloons without 130 crosspath
- x3x Jungle Vine follows target prio of tower instead of strong
- x3x Jungle Vine defaults tower to strong priority when purchased
- 205 Avatar of Wrath base Heart of Thunder attack rate increased 2.3s > 1.15
Spike Factory We’ve heard the feedback, so Spiked Mines get a tweak to get more mines exploding but with less pierce on each, to overall increase quality of life in more frequent use but less wasted pierce. This will help out with some of the problems it has scaling into late game super ceramics. - 4xx Spiked Mines pierce increased from 12 > 20
- 4xx Spiked Mines explosion pierce reduced from 40 > 30
- 4xx Spiked Mines DoT damage increased from 1 > 10
- 5xx Super Mines explosion pierce remains at 60
- 5xx Super Mines DoT damage increased from 1000 > 2500
Monkey Village A minor QoL for cheap Monkeyopolis creation, we included a small base amount of cash production to the generation formula. - xx5 Monkeyopolis income formula now includes a base +$2500 minimum
Engineer The 005 crosspath fix in the last update left XXXL Trap slower than previously even if crosspathed to 205, so we are increasing that base 005 slightly to match up the 205 crosspath again so that it isn’t any slower than before. - xx5 XXXL Trap attack cooldown reduced from 5.8s > 4.6
Beast Handler As our newest tower to be added to BTD6, we went over feedback for every path and made a large number of adjustments addressing a variety of points. - 3xx Great White thrash rate benefits from speed buffs

- 4xx Orca thrash max extra damage from merge increased 40 > 60
- 4xx Orca max attack rate buff from merge increased 0.37829 > 0.38
- 4xx Orca thrash radius increased 20 > 24
- 5xx Megalodon price reduced from 55,000 > 45,000
- 5xx Megalodon thrash radius increased 30 > 36
- 5xx & x5x Beast handler paths are now overclockable
- x4x and x5x Max Merge Bonus: Overkill damage on MOABs now distributes to the children of that target
- xx1 Gyrfalcon path deals +1 damage to Regrows to stop accidental infinite regrow farms
- xx3 Golden Eagle pierce increased 12 > 15
- xx3 Golden Eagle pierce range increased 24 > 30
- xx3 Golden Eagle ceramic pierce penalty reduced from +3 > 1
- xx3 Golden Eagle Max Merge Bonus: Now grabs MOABs with pierce penalty +14
Gwendolin Removing the stacking aspect of Gwendolin’s burn damage over time, but increasing the damage as she levels up so that it actually scales up in power now. - Lv6 Gwendonlin main attack DoT stack count 0 > 1
- Lv6 Gwendonlin main attack DoT damage increased from 1 > 2
- Lv9 Gwendonlin main attack DoT damage increased from 1 > 4
- Lv10 Gwendonlin main attack DoT damage now increases by 1 per additional level
Adora While they are complicated individuals, Adora can now fully appreciate the sacrifice of the newest Monkeys in the struggle against the Bloons. - Lv7 Blood Sacrifice can now be used on Beast Handlers
Admiral Brickell We aren’t happy with strats that start looking like exploits with frequent sell-replace loops. - Upon Selling Brickell - all of her placed Mines are now expired along with her as well
Psi Psi’s stalling out of the end of round is an odd mix of useful / annoying / out of control, so we are for now capping this to a 3 seconds of overtime stalling. Psi’s Psychic Blast ability also has weirdly low pierce for a long cooldown ability with no damage, we are increasing the base pierce greatly but it no longer increases in pierce at Lv7 since the extra pulse brings more pierce anyway. - If no Bloons are left unpopped on screen aside from ones Psi is currently holding & destroying, these Bloons will be destroyed after a maximum of 3 seconds
- Lv3 Psychic Blast pierce increased from 50 > 200
- Lv7 Psychic Blast pierce increased from 100 > 200
Event / Boss / Relic / Knowledge - All Lych Soul variations can now be stunned/slowed by paragon tier upgrades
Looking Forward Five months of 2023 done and dusted, which feels to us like it has zoomed by, perhaps because the Auckland office where the BTD6 team is based has only just reopened after the severe flooding at the end of January. All of Update 36 and the majority of Update 37 were completed while again working from home, but we’re very excited to have the office repairs done, the flood wall almost finished, and the ability to work shoulder to shoulder again on fun new things for the monkeyverse! Here’s the latest gaze into the crystal ball: - Update 38 Key Content
- New Boss - Phayze: another all new Boss concept and play style, not giving any other hints apart from the name itself
- Summer fun: a new Brickell hero skin and a waterpark map aimed toward Intermediate to help keep northern hemisphere summer cool
- Quests: continuing to build new quest system features and adding a few new Quests to the list
- Update 39 Key Content
- Map Editor: under construction since last year with internal systems testing happening during 38.0 development, we are super excited to put map creation tools in player hands on as many platforms as possible when it goes live
- New Hero - Spirit Walker: another unique design that we’re sandboxing already to make sure it has as much balance and art iteration as possible, again no hints other than the name
- Update 40 Key Content
- New Paragon - Monkey Sub: we’ve tagged sub as the next Paragon, so tell the Navarch to stop hoarding all of the Portable Lakes!
- Stretch Goals - Boss Rush Team Event and CT Themes: lots of unknowns 3 updates out but we have strong plans for a new Team event and new parameters for Contested Territory that will make each CT more dynamic - anything that we don’t get done by end of year will have strong groundwork for next year
- Console
- Getting closer to submission on Xbox and PlayStation but this has been slow going. We’ve added another programmer and are working even more closely with platform partners to get through our last issues and launch as soon as possible, but that’s likely at least another 2 months. Switch is still a consideration depending on response to Xbox and PlayStation, as it will require additional bespoke development.

2023.06.07 02:18 JPJonsen Lowers and “2023 assault weapons”
Does one technically need to have full constructive possession of all parts required to build out a “2023 assault weapon” or does a lower alone that could hypothetically be built into a 23 AW meet the definition?
Some portions of bill seem to point to a single part (lower) that could be built into a 23 AW being considered a full 23 AW. Other portions, seem to point to only full possession of everything required to assemble a 23 AW as being considered a 23 AW.
Assuming constructive possession in either scenario by “upon enactment” (i.e. today, at some opaque point in time)

2023.06.07 02:17 Ritterbruder2 Instrumental case in Indo-European languages
Is this function of the instrumental case found in any other languages?

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d5lPencsa54 The world-famous political prisoner King U combats Florida's hidden Antebellum policies Now representing John Dobbs attorney Mr. Reres Sr. Update: By Mrs. Celeste Dobbs
THIS IS WHY THEY DON'T WANT ME IN A COURT ROOM
The world-famous political prisoner King U combats Florida's hidden Antebellum policies John W. Dobbs, Florida inmate no. C00618 aka Universal aka King U I'm a political prisoner based on 4the fact that my imprisonment is not by legal construction. But instead based on the preferences of people who have obtained social and public support by trickery. And this support has the effect of placing them with the full might of the U.S. Government enforcing their favors and my illegal detainment. An unconstitutional union of Florida officials are secretly exercising Antebellum practices and are using intimidation amongst their peers to exercise their wills. King U John W. Dobbs John W. Dobbs Florida DC# C00618 9th Judicial Circuit Court of Orange County case# 48-2006-CF-015201-O The listing of events is compiled from several of John. Dobbs’ prior efforts to get justice. The uncontested facts hold that: Petitioner and his then girlfriend Deann Washington were visiting the State of Florida, when they stopped at a topless bar called Thee Doll House. Inside the club the couple met William Troy IIII and briefly engaged in a not at all hostile, but not quite polite conversation.
At closing time, the couple left the club and sew Troy with 3 or 4 other men, they were intoxicated. Petitioner’s vehicle and the vehicle transporting Troy’s party was parked six parking spaces apart. One or more from Troy’s party yelled to the couple something to the effect of they needed security to walk them out. Initially the statement appears lighthearted. John is entering his car when Troy’s friend and employee Andre Blanco starts to approach the passenger side of the couple’s vehicle. John’s girlfriend being the passenger, points out that one of them is walking over. John asks her to stay in the car, leaves the driver side, and walks around the back of the car to meet him. When Andre Blanco arrives, a fight initiated between them which all parties and witnesses perceive as a fist fight. The fight takes place close to the rear passenger side of John’s vehicle. Almost instantly. Andre Blanco is Knocked down and Francisco Gotay approaches John evades the punches and strikes Francisco Gotay with what all parties and witnesses perceive as fists. After being knocked down Andre Blanco swiftly recovers and attacks Petitioner from behind. John’s girlfriend exits the vehicle and enters the fight to help John, as Anthony Riollano and William Troy IIII approach. The couple hears someone yell ‘get her ‘ or get the girl.’ It’s around this time that one of them appears to get seriously injured and John concedes to starting to use his pocketknife, as Deanna Washington is grabbed by Anthony Riollano and tossed to the side ending her feeble attempts to ward them off. Next Riollano goes after John approaching John from behind, while he was confronted by at least one other of Riollano’s party, grabs John from the side by his shirt collar and strikes him on the head and neck several times. As members of his party feel they are unable to continue, Riollano, not knowing why the fight has stopped, but recognizing that it has, stops hitting John. Both Blanco and Gotay notice they are bleeding and don’t know why.
John gets up and the couple get in their car, and William Troy falls to the ground due to stab wounds. Andre Blanco and Francisco then realize they were stabbed. As the couple leaves the parking lot a truck, they believe to be occupied by one of their assailants try to run them off the road. Hanzel Holiday a valet from the club across the street, was not a witness to the incident, yet claim to have struck John’s vehicle twice in order to run the couple off the road, because his supervisor, Phillip Allen Westfall, the valet for Thee Doll House told him to stop their car. On third attempt Holiday notices John with a gun pointed in the direction of his attack, so he stops pursuit. William Troy died as a result of his stab wounds. John received multiple injuries six cuts. While John claims to have seen one of them swinging something shiny, which he perceived as a knife, and security for the club, Justin Idle, claims to have seen one of the men hitting John with what he believes may have been a key. All witnesses deny seeing John with a knife during the altercation. John, the only African American male in the fight, was also the only man arrested, and accused of a criminal act. Blanco, Gotay and Holiday each have multiple felony convictions, Troy had been convicted of battery on a law enforcement officer: and on the night of the incident Blanco was on probation. John who himself had one prior felony conviction, alerted the arresting office of his self-defense claim. Sign his petition on amku.org

Frequently Asked Questions
If Florida ‘ Stand Your Ground Law ‘ is equally available to citizens under Florida jurisdiction some of the questions that arrive basic on the evidence are:
1.) Why was he the only man arrested for a fight that all witness sworn stated as a fist fight between him and a least 4 intoxicated men who relentlessly approached him?
2.) Does race have anything to do with it?
3.) Does he have the right to protect his girlfriend for what can be reasonably preceded as acts of aggression?
4.) How is it possible to find he didn’t act in defense of himself and his lady, when no reasonable evidence existed that the men who approached them might no harm?
5.) If the statement (you need security to walk you and your girl out) can be perceived as a threat how is it not evidence of his innocent?
6.) Why wasn’t Andre Blanco arrested for violating; for his part in the altercation being that he was dunk and on probation in a state were mere police contact usually results in violation?
7.) Why did the prosecutor allow Andre Blanco to change sworn statements from proceeding to proceeding without explanation?
8.) If the only evidence of aggravated battery against Andre Blanco comes from actions, Andre Blanco testified there was no evidence of, until after Blanco ran up grab him by the back of the neck and started hitting him; How is that not self-defense?
9.) If the only evidence of Aggravated battery against Fransico Gotay comes from actions Gotay testified occurred only after Gotay ran at him swinging to hit him; How is that not self-defense?
10.) If the only evidence of aggravated assault against Hansel Holiday comes from actions Holiday testified occurred only after Holiday was attempting to strike his car and run him off the road for the thirty time; How is that not self- defense?
11.) If Andre Blanco testified that immediately after being hit with what seems like a really hard punch, Blanco gets up runs grabs him by the back of the neck and starts hitting him; and, Fransico Gotay testified that immediately after Blanco falls from being hit with a good punch, Gotay runs up and starts swinging at him. and, Riollano testified that at the time that Riollano approached him and started hitting him in the neck and head, he was still fighting at least one of Riollano’s friends. And, William Troy enter the fight sometime in between. How can they say the fights were one on one.
13.) Why were Fransico Gotay, Anthony Riollano, and Hanzel Holiday treated by the State Attorney’s Office as if their attacking the couple at the couple car was lawful when they claim to have no knowledge of why the fight started or who throw the first punch; Thus, no knowledge of whether they were in the right or wrong?
14.) How is it that he was convicted of murdering William Troy and his conviction is upheld when the only evidence is that William Troy was the 3 or 4 men to enter the fight against him, and his claim to have stab Troy in self-defense?
15.) Why was the jury led to believe that he had to try to avoid the danger before he had the right to stand his ground?
16.) Why wasn’t the State required to answer any of these questions on appeal?
17.) Why wasn’t he granted an Evidential Hearing basic on any of his claims in the Federal Court?
18.) If the police was called before anyone was believed to have been stabbed and Deputy Herbert Mercado testified at the Adversary Preliminary Hearing referring to him as the victim twice.
Doesn’t that mean that the recordings of the 911 calls that were destroyed were evidence of his actual innocents?
19.) Does this mean that Florida law enforcement knows that he is innocent?
20.) Does the wealth of William Troy’s and Anthony Riollano’s family's have anything to do with it.
21.) Is there a conspiracy to deny a innocent man his rights?
22.) If a white man fought off 4 or 5 drunk black men, who told him he needed security, and surrounded him and his girlfriend, outside his car in the parking lot of a strip club, at 2:00 in the morning; Wouldn’t he be a hero?
23.) Are Clerks of Court being paid to sabotage cases in Florida. a.) A Clark of the court filed the unsigned Charge Information. b.) On Direct Appeal they was no judge signature on the ‘Denial .‘ c.) It was a Clerk who allowed incorrect DOC number to remain on his docket for months despite the number of complaints. d.) It was a Clerk of Court that removed 15 pages of his ‘Argument' from his petition for Federal Habeas Corpus. e.) And now the Clerk of Court who denied his State Habeas Corpus without any reason again in the Direct Court of Appeal.
They didn’t put the initial provocation instruction in George Zimmerman jury instruction.
Read proof of his innocents on his website
americanmekinguniversal.org and/or amku.org read court transcripts, and subtitle; Must Read, John's story in his own words " American Me Law vs. Law Enforcement " and give him an emergency release. Too many Florida officials are manipulating the system solely for their own personal prejudices and then having justice denied to avoid lawsuits. A favor for a favor tradition, Regardless of constitutional propriety. Many have gotten more severe sentencing when facts are manipulated at trail. Some were just been plain railroad. This system within the system is so embedded that the Feds are scared to touch it, especially because of the financial ramifications. A federal investigation is sorely needed, men like my son who have been ignored and lack opportunities to received justice in Florida that only money can buy. Thank You

2023.06.07 00:43 RetroSilicon MR762 versus M110A1 SDMR - Accuracy, Precision and Twist Rates
| This is an analysis of the Old vs New MR762, compared to the new SDMR, in terms of accuracy, precision and ballistics. This will be a dynamic post, and I will update it as new information becomes available to me. INTRODUCTION TO THE M110A1 I was privy enough to see the disassembled differences between the MR and the SDMR. I've been trying to understand why HK went to a Medium Contoured barrel when the harmonics offered so much on the heavy 1:11 twist barrel. Well, turns out the Army themselves went with a medium contoured barrel. So why the change? They're making the MR barrels on the same assembly line as the SDMR barrels, just with a different twist rate. Both barrels are RH Twist 4 Land Groove, and both use the same materials for barrel construction, HK's French Cannon Grade Steel. I cannot confirm personally if the SDMR is chrome lined. And some details still are considered sensitive and confidential. The new M110A1 SDMR is a 16.3" Medium Contour Barrel in 1:8 twist that fires M118LR exclusively for a full 2-rotation of the projectile, with a base velocity of 2379ft/s. It uses its own proprietary gas block and barrel nut, compared to the commercial MR762. M110A1 Barrel Nut The barrel nut has me interested, along with the different gas block. I would like to see the inside of it and its design compared to the MR gas block, and understand what changes were made for the SDMR. M110A1 Gas Block There are currently too many unknowns when it comes to the gas block. It is beefier than the MR, and only has one single roll pin. Gassing will expectedly be different. As for the extension up top, this is unknown at this time. MR762 Old vs New Barrel Profile The old heavy barrel was 2lbs 6.2oz. The new contoured barrel is now 1lbs 14.5oz, as shared by CTYatty who took some awesome photos of barrel profile details. ( ctyatty). This makes a difference on the warfighter who has to carry it, and for faster dissipation of heat soak. MR762 Old vs New Barrel Weight As for the change in twist rate from 1:11 to 1:12, verus the SDMR using 1:8. That is more involved, and I will reference images I got from said forum member, and my own research, which is modified and originally taken from my initial question to this on Reddit: Short Barrel (16.5") Long Range: 1:11 vs 1:12 to reach a kilometer? : longrange (reddit.com) BARREL CONTOURS & TWIST RATES Heckler & Koch moved from a fantastic 1:11 Heavy Barrel in their MR762 line of DMR rifles, to a 1:12 Medium Contour, as the photo shows. The Berger Stability Calculator shows the 1:11 is more effective offering a more stable round versus 1:12. My question is, what are the advantages of using a slower 1:12 twist rate with a lighter barrel versus the faster, heavier 1:11 twist rate? And by extension, what's the best route to go to maximize the effective range of a .308 Win round in the MR's barrel profile? As far as I've learned, the Slower 1:12 twist rate is a negative, not a positive. The M110A1 DMR, G28 DMR and MR762 with heavy barrel are designed to have an effective range of 600-800 meters, and can reach more than 1000 meters at the right altitude. Can this same barrel in 1:12 and lighter weight reach out just as well, but using a different bullet? The M40 had a 1:12 twist rate and was designed to use 168gr right? So then the same way of asking this question is, why did they chose 1:12 and not 1:11 for the M40, and subsequently, why 168gr and not 175+gr at the time for use with 1:12, other than using a 24" barrel for two complete rotations? I've begun answering my question, learning that the FN SCAR 17S is also a 16" barrel in 1:12 twist, and using the data from Hornady's website: http://www.shooterscalculator.com/ballistic-trajectory-chart.php?t=13aee2da REF: 168 gr ELD® MATCH TAP® AR™ - Hornady Law Enforcement The TL;DR answer: the difference is negligible. - Muzzle Velocity - 1:11 2507 fps vs 1:12 2500 fps
- 500 Yard Velocity - 1:11 1914 fps vs 1:12 1908 fps
- 1000 Yard Velocity - 1:11 1425 fps vs 1:12 1421 fps
- 1100 Yards (1000M) - 1:11 1344 fps vs 1:12 1340 fps
Altitude: 6476ft TEMP: 75F BAR: 30.16Hg HUM: 16% Hell, even at 1400 yards before the round hits transonic, its 1147 fps vs 1144 fps. So back to the original question: - Does changing from 1:11 to 1:12 make a difference on the 16.5" barrel? No, not with the Hornady TAP ELD AR round at my altitude of 5200-6200 feet.
- Was there a valid reason to switch froma Heavy Barrel to a Mid Contour barrel? Yes, it shaved 1.1lbs from its weight.
- Was there a valid reason to switch from 1:11 to 1:12 twist rate? It's not worse, but it's not better using 168gr or even 175gr .308. One answer is, modern match-grade rounds were being over-spun and not reaching their best potential from a 16.5" barrel. This thinking could be in line with historical US weapon systems like the M40A3 which features a 24" 1:12 barrel versus the original M40 with a 1:10 twist.
- Working theory: HK's new Mid-Contour 1:12 Barrel changed the bullet stability for modern FMJ and Match Grade rounds, attempting to prevent over-spin and possible bullet destruction from the hot rounds on the market today >> It hasn't fully answered my question, but I'm now able to quantify more and more data because of it: Bullet Gyroscopic Stability Calculator (bisonballistics.com)
H&K 2022 MFD MR762 LRPIII with newer gas block, clearly and effectively cycling Hornady TAP ELD AR 168gr, and producing Sub-MOA 3-round shot groups. https://preview.redd.it/cgf06dmq6h4b1.jpg?width=1440&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=e3ff0a0806f9e5f63e7c22e7c5102e1a1fafd9c5 The German Military selected the 1:11 heavy barrel for the G28 DMR to push standard 7.62 NATO 150gr FMJ (M80) rounds to 1.5MOA. That was the standard required by the Bundeswehr. After years of use and changes to bullet manufacturing and ballistics over the last 20 years, HK may have found better ballistics from a 1:12. So why 1:8 for the M110A1? They want two complete rotations of the projectile from the 16" barrel, just like the M40 had 1:12 for a 24" barrel. They want to maximize bullet stability from the M118LR 175gr at any altitude and in harsh or cold conditions where air density is at its worst to give the best precision possible. And since the M110A1 SDMR will only be using M118LR or lighter as used in military service, they basically aimed to push M118LR to its limits of spin rate before fragmentation i.e. "over-spin." This is over-spin: Reddit - Overspin Video ANALYSIS OF THE NEW MR762 What does this mean for the new 2021+ MFD MR762 with Medium Contour 1:12 barrel? - It has a new gas block, allowing for more gas to cycle through the system, and in effect, maximize all modern .308 rounds on the market. The new MR is designed to run even the lightest .308 rounds for maximum effectiveness, and not having failures to feed as seen in the first generation of MR762s which were sensitive to what ammo they used.
- By switching to the 1:12 twist rate, the new MR can better utilize lighter ammo at and under 168gr, and better utilize M80 ball ammo. In so doing, because it is pushing a lighter round, it needs to push hotter for spin rate balance. So using hot consumer ammo such as Hornady A-MAX or Hornady Black, will have better ballistics.
- By being lighter, and treated as a Match-Grade rifle, a lighter barrel will cool down faster between rounds. If treated as a combat rifle, the MR will overheat faster than its previous version. The MR, by name, is designated a "Match Rifle" and if treated as such, will gain advantages in its new profile. But despite this, its metallurgy can take quite a beating. Just expect some heat shift if used heavily.
CONTOURED BARREL THERMAL CHARACTERISTICS by @JRB A lighter barrel has a lower total heat capacity because: - It has less mass
- It has less surface area
The lighter barrel will cool faster because it has a lower heat capacity, due to having less surface area than a heavier barrel to retain heat. Meaning that if you had a light barrel and a heavy barrel that were otherwise the same length and material, and you raised the temp of both to 250 degrees, the lighter barrel will probably cool to 100 degrees faster than the heavy barrel in most normal environments. In real world use, this means the light barrel will also get to a higher temp with fewer rounds fired, because less heat capacity equals less heat energy required to elevate the temp. But for a DMR -- with a very slow expected firing rate and emergency firing rate -- the lighter barrel will likely not heat up enough during normal Designated Marksman use to cause this from happening. So if the necessary accuracy standard can be achieved with a lighter profile barrel that can also sustain the expected emergency firing rate with issued ammo, the reduced weight from the heavy barrel profile is well worth the trade-off in total precision max possible fire rate. REAL WORLD BALLISTICS I will modify and tweak this as time allows. But for reference, here are ballistics from various rounds from a 2012 MFD MR762 Heavy Barrel with 1:11 Twist: - Federal Golden Match 175gr - Single Failure to catch and chamber a new round, Solid Groups
- Winchester M118LR 175gr - Malfunction, Jam. Failure to chamber a new round.
- Hornady TAP ELD AR 168gr - Does not chamber a new round, Solid Groups with 1MOA capability.
- Norma Golden Target 175gr - Solid Groupings, no failures, 1.5MOA demonstrated capability.
- Hornady TAP ELD Precision 168gr - Runs hotter than the AR ammo, unreliable groupings.
- Federal Berger Juggernaut 185gr - Runs hot, requires greater rifle control to maintain precision.
10-round shot groups from a 2012 MFD MR762 DMR, which is not as forgiving to various ammo types compared to the newer MR762 LRPIII despite the same 1:11 twist. https://preview.redd.it/bu0vkhdx6h4b1.jpg?width=1280&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=a65674d03cb8e07ed3c80dc17ff212790b3ba053 CONCLUSIONS So with all this information, we can conclude that the new M110A1 SDMR was designed to push M118LR 175gr under any condition, at any altitude, at the sacrifice of some MOA and ammo sensitivity like we see in the first generation MR762 (2MOA was the contract requirement). The new MR762 from 2021 onward is designed to be much more flexible in the ammo it runs, and designed to not require expensive match-grade ammo to get solid performance from it. I wish to try Hornady Black 168gr from the new MR to see its performance. I invite anyone with an MR to show their 10-round groupings on paper at 100 yards to demonstrate what their rifle can do, whether it be the 1:11 twist, the new 1:12 twist, or any service members with an SDMR willing to show their 100 yard groupings. Please ensure you share: 1. Which profile barrel you have (or twist rate) 2. What ammo you used for your MR or SDMR 3. What temperature & altitude you were shooting at submitted by RetroSilicon to u/RetroSilicon [link] [comments] |
2023.06.07 00:42 KubaBVB09 Orlando Through the Years: Eatonville
I love seeing posts on here that are more than "what was that boom" or "visiting your town what should I do" so I figured there's no better way than doing something than being the change you want to see. If there's interest I want to see if I can do a series of posts highlighting the history of various places in the Orlando area from historic aerials. It's part of my job and I love seeing the changes throughout the years.
Here's a look at Eatonville, centered around Kennedy Blvd between Keller Road and Orlando Avenue. Eatonville was incorporated in 1887 as as one of the first self-governing all-black municipalities in the United States. For those who are new to the area or don't know, author Zora Neale Hurston grew up in Eatonville.
Do you have any memories of the Eatonville of the past?
Eatonville Through the Years:
https://imgur.com/a/OpKMy0j Eatonville, 1940 - E-W road is what will become Kennedy Blvd. The road branching off to the north will eventually be covered by I4.
Eatonville, 1954 - Future Kennedy Blvd is still seen as is the road that will become I4. The new road shooting off north from Kennedy on the west is S Keller Road.
Eatonville, 1957 - Kennedy, Keller, and Pre-I4 are still seen. The construction on the south is a new subdivision of homes joining the new Lee Road. (Baltimore Drive, Alfred Drive).
Eatonville, 1980 - I-4 has bisected the community. Keller and Kennedy are smaller versions of their current day extent. The Lake Fairview area north of Lee Road has been completely developed by this time.
Eatonville, 1995 - Wymore has been completed as well as the beginnings of Maitland Blvd. No offices in the vicinity of Keller yet but the rest should look very familiar.
Eatonville, 2007 - Completed Maitland Blvd as well as the familiar offices along Keller up towards the Orlando Ice Den. Developments along Orlando Avenue are most evident.
Eatonville, 2023 - For Comparison. The original town still stands out from the surrounding suburban development but Kennedy is only a shadow of the important road it once was.

Colorado River Indian Organization, Sani Bitsuie, Ayawamat Sekaquaptewa, Hastiin Todicheene,
v.
The State of Fremont
I. Question Presented
Whether WSB-05-12: the Arizona Solar Power Act violates Article III, Section 9 of the Fremont Constitution.
II. Background
The Fremont Assembly Assembly passed WSB-05-12: the Arizona Solar Power Act, ordering and allocating funds for the construction of solar farms in Mohave County and La Paz County of the Arizona Province. The Colorado River Indian Organization (CRIO), a nonprofit organization operating in La Paz County, and three individuals residing in La Paz County brought suit claiming that the Act is unconstitutional under the Fremont Constitution and therefore unenforceable. For the reasons outlined in this petition, the act violates Article III, Section 9 of the Fremont Constitution and therefore this writ of certiorari should be granted, and a preliminary and permanent injunction should be granted against the enforcement of the Act.
III. Analysis
Separation of powers is encoded as the law of the state by the Fremont Constitution. Article III, Section 9 of the Fremont Constitution establishes that “[e]ach bill passed by the Legislature shall be presented to the Governor.” (Fre. Const., art. III, §9). The intention of this section is to give the Governor a limited and qualified role in lawmaking.
Section 3, Subsection 12 of the Arizona Solar Power Act provides that “[i]f… the Governor fails to submit a report, the Assembly may designate his responsibilities… to the Lieutenant Governor of Fremont or to the Speaker of the Assembly of Fremont, who shall be required to submit the report in his stead.” Pursuant to Artice III, Section 9 of the Fremont Constitution, this is plainly prohibited. Relying just on the text of the Act—the Court can determine that this subsection attempts to give the Legislature the authority to bypass the limited role of the Governor in lawmaking by allowing the Assembly to designate the Governor’s responsibility to another elected official without his approval. The provision in giving the Assembly sole discretion to change statue, undeniably violates a plain reading of the Fremont Constitution.
Section 4, Subsection 2 of the Act provides that “[t]he Assembly has the right to, by passing an amendment to this bill at any time, halt construction for any reason.” Section 4, Subsection 3 of the Act provides that “[t]he Assembly has the right to, by passing an amendment to this bill at any time, cancel the construction of any one of the solar farms for any reason.” For the same reason as above, these subsections of the Act violate Article III of the Fremont Constitution—they give the Assembly sole discretion to change statue, without presentation to the governor. The respondent may argue that these subsections simply provide that such amendments can be made, of course requiring presentment pursuant to the Fremont Constitution. It is hard to believe that such a plainly obvious provision would be included in the bill, especially given the language of these subsections, “[t]he assembly has the right… at any time… for any reason” being written in a way that seemingly attempts to leave the authority exclusively and definitively to the Assembly.
In various provisions, the Arizona Solar Power Act violates Article III, Section 9 of the Fremont Constitution. No bill passed by the legislature, even with approval for the Governor, can attempt to override the authority of the Governor and confer the sole right to the Assembly to make law.
IV. Conclusion
For the reasons this petition outlines, WSB-05-12: the Arizona Solar Power Act violates the Fremont Constitution and this petition should be granted.

2023.06.06 23:47 Horse_Bacon_TheMovie Are there orgs that operate in the physical world that also rely on UX? (i.e., construction, engineering, sciences, manufacturing, aerospace, etc.)
I've been looking to go a bit niche with the next phase of my career. I realize my interests are in making products that deal with the real and physical world. I know companies like Caterpillar have UX teams, but I don't know if they are working on products used in the field or sales websites or enterprise tools.
I'm doing my own research, but I'm curious if anyone else has experience in this area or has some idea of orgs I might want to look into.
Related: does anyone here have any HMI experience? Is HMI under the umbrella of UX or is it a separate branch on the HCI tree?
Thank you

Hi.
I'm applying for a role as a junior adviser at KPMG in Luxembourg and tomorrow I take what they've called the business interview
Its an hour long with 3 people present but I have absolutely no idea what it is and was hoping some of you might know what I'm refering to and would be kind enough to tell me what to expect, i.e the nature of the "business" interview and what kind of questions are typically asked.
All constructive contributions welcome.
