So im 18 and have been out of highschool for a year, (i was medically separated from the marines after 6 months) and currently working for a medium size GC that had 12 million in profit in a big city (Louisville kentucky) as a laborer, i plan on attending college for a construction management degree, in the mean time the company i am working for told me they will help pay for my tuition and start me an internship sometime after this summer (i do online school) i plan on getting my osha 30 soon and hopefully one day a PMP and CCM , everyone i have talked to says in theory my plan is good, any advice i can get or any warnings or forsight?

The past couple of days there has been a lot of controversy on this sub about how to pronounce this state's largest city. I do want to make a point that There is a definite generational divide in how that city is pronounced. My dad is in his mid-60s and he pronounces it looeeville. This is also how Muhammad Ali pronounced it. My dad and Ali were both born and raised in the city. However I myself am 23, And most people my age pronounce it looavull or something along those lines and while I live in Cincinnati now, I grew up in Louisville. What happened was sometime between the '70s and the '90s, a lot of people from rural Kentucky moved to Louisville for work especially when the coal mines closed down and they brought along their southern twang. Thus; the pronunciation of Louisville changed dramatically. The lesson is that language is not solid, it is fluid. Language and pronunciation changes over time, even in a relatively short period of time.

While a long ways away from happening, I've been looking at eastern Kentucky as a potential site of a life-commiting project. Before commiting fully, I need to know information only Kentuckians would know about their state. A survey, if you will.

1. Is there any demand for a new Zoo in the region, or interest? Research shows me the state really only has the Louisville Zoo and Newport Aquarium.
   
2. If a new Zoo was built, what would be the most effective price range, and what would you like the zoo to accomplish?
   
3. What are the reasons a new Zoo could fall apart if built and opened. Are there state laws I should know of?
   

I understand this is quite the strange request, but I have a dream, and I just need to find the place to make it happen. I understand this subreddit is not the overall voice of Kentucky, but any input/opinion helps.

Anyway, a bit about me: I'm just managing a bar at night running a bar program for a family business and then helping out at another place part-time. I enjoyed the warmer days, long walks that will be hikes soon, dark chocolate, dramas that explore the grey area of morality, cooking soups, most cheeses, lake days, long nights on the couch, and pretty much any card game. I'm easy-going and I enjoy good conversation. Hint: skip the small talk about get to the good stuff. It's difficult to make me uncomfortable.
I'm looking for a long-term thing - ideally a relationship. Distance doesn't bother me, but it might be nice if you weren't much further than a couple hours drive. I do quite enjoy a nice weekend getaway.
