2023.05.30 15:53 Ragnar292922 Leaders
Hey has anyone figured out how to identify leaders on other teams to trade for? I’m about 13 years deep in my franchise. I draft really well, also traded some contracts that I couldn’t resign for 1 round draft picks (about 5 in the last few years). I have good coaching chemistry in the mid 80s that are well rounded. With at least one vet coach in each team. But I have noticed that winning games on sim tends to go way better when you have a high locker room chemistry. When my team chemistry was in the mid 80s my team was unstoppable. Currently over the last few seasons it’s dropped to 60 which makes me think is the reason my team is struggling to win even though my line chemistry are all plus 5 and none of my players are lower then 83. Any suggestions ?

2023.05.30 15:52 keynehayek Should I Expect a Gift from My Brother/Best Man?
This is something that has been tearing me up for the past couple of weeks. My brotheBest Man put in the least amount of effort possible to help with the wedding, which sucks because I made him Best Man because I thought it would bring us closer together.
For my wedding, my brother was MIA. I ended up having to plan and finance my bachelor party. We almost didn't get our tux rentals in time because he wouldn't enter his dimensions in a website (I also paid for all the tux rentals). A week before the wedding, he called asking what I wanted for a wedding gift because most of the items on our registry had been purchased. I told him it was his decision and he could do whatever he wanted. His response was "Can I give you cash? Do you need cash? How much do you need?" His best man speech was basically 3 minutes reciting my resume "he went to X Elementary followed by Y Middle School and then Z High School. We both went to college at..." During the reception, he pulled our photographers aside for 30 minutes so they could take photos of his family for their Christmas card.
After our honeymoon. we went through the gifts and it was odd that we didn't get anything from my brother. I wasn't expecting a massive check or some elaborate gift. I just wanted a card acknowledging the wedding and wishing us future success. It's been a month now and the only communication i've gotten is a text saying "has the photographer sent back my family photos?". Do I even approach him about this? I don't feel like there's a scenario where I feel good about things. Either he didn't get us anything and it was intentional or he forgot to get us something and he needs a nudge for him to remember.

2023.05.30 15:51 KaizokuFeet Strength and Toning without Hypertrophy (Question/Help)
I was listening to the Andy Galpin series (still working on it, TBH) and I always thought bigger muscles was from lower amount of reps and higher weight (i.e. 3-5 reps for 3 sets of high level of weight)
Am I right in understanding it's actually the opposite? If that's the case - my goal is to increase my strength (Not massively, just...I'm kind of weak right now.) and tone up my muscles - I don't want big muscles - so I should be doing higher weight and lower reps?

2023.05.30 15:50 Glad-Conference-5229 everyone around me calls me slow and stupid. everything i do seems to be stupider than if someone else at the same time had done it. i cant bring myself to believe im smart and i cant get myself to study now. im not sure what to do to help myself.
ive been forever called things like slow, autistic, r-word, idiot, etc. by my close ones. it's gotten to a point where it's like the most prominent jokes about me to a lot of people. i know its jokes but i think im a highly sensitive person and it does mess me up.
i was a 3.9 student in high school and i took a lot of AP classes that i passed with mostly 4s. i remember when i told my sibling about being accepted to a good university they told me it was probably from affirmative action and that i wasnt the smartest one to be accepted. i know i wasnt, but i cant deny the college offer.
in my first semester i was doing really, really bad. i was dealing with depression from change, and i couldnt study and i couldnt keep up with the exams. i was on a pre-med track and i had the resources but i just never passed my exams, the highest i got was a 50% and i had the lowest final exam score, i dropped and got out with a 3.4.
i basically left the idea of being pre-med because it was too hard, i got into coding and im fine here but i feel like im still incompetent. that i had to drop a career path because it was too hard for my little brain. and i feel incompetent in my new major too, because in that intro to programming class, some of my project partners took over the work when i couldnt get it, and that makes me feel behind even though i actually had more resources than them.
and a lot of the people here in this major were actually pre-med as well but left because they were not interested, not because they couldnt do it. i did better and i got a 3.9 this semester but it doesnt make me feel much. im taking a calculus summer class to catch up but its accelerated and i feel behind no matter what. i feel stupid no matter what.
i feel like i cant grasp the material, i can never understand the material, and ill just barely get by. i have no motivation or pride in myself to feel like i can even do anything. i feel like im mentally challenged and it doesnt help when i say these things and the only response i get is for therapy or adhd medication. i just want to feel competent for once but i cant because of the people around me. i think im begging for attention here. i just want to have something good about me said for once, im so tired of being called nothing good.

2023.05.30 15:50 GimmeDaLoot10 Time to Move?
Had my performance review last week. I work at a medium size regional firm (about 550 employees). Was told that I am exceeding expectations, but promo won’t happen this year due to seniority….been here 2 years and have my license. All seniors in my office aren’t even taking the exams.
Feel like I’m being underutilized and severely underpaid now. With a top bracket raise I’m looking at $71k, going into my 3rd year as a licensed tax associate.
Time to jump ship? Id like my chances at big4 as I tend to skew towards a high performer if money is involved. Any tips on getting into Big4?

2023.05.30 15:50 shortpositivity My stupid body refuses to sleep more than 7 hours and it’s really hurting me
I am in my teen years where I’m still growing a lot. I usually feel the best with around 9 hours of sleep, and I need 8+. For the last month or so, my body literally refuses to sleep properly. Since it’s summer break, I should be able to sleep 9 hours a night, but for some reason it’s not possible due to my internal body making its own decisions. I may get headaches or feel tired during the morning/day due to this. Part of my eye has been red in varying levels (gets redder at night) and it’s not getting better probably due to sleep deprivation. I just want some proper sleep, that’s all. At first, I thought it was the early sunrise and light from it, but now I doubt it. My environment is not very good and I can’t really sleep early, but I will give it a try. I exercise daily, go outside, and feel tired; I fall asleep In around 10-20 minutes. I can’t control my diet, but I eat very high carbs and fiber, and try my best to get enough protein. I’m not obese or fat in the slightest bit. I couldn’t really go to bed earlier than 11:30 last night, and I slept at 12, hoping to wake up in 8-9 hours. Instead, I got very bad sleep last night. For some reason, for as long as I can remember, I get nights every few months where my mind is “clogged” and I am stuck in thoughts to the point I cannot sleep. This is not a problem since it rarely happens. So it happened last night and I woke up at 7, and I currently have a headache and a stomach that feels as if it has gotten no oxygen or something. I doubt it’s sleep apnea since waking up too early has been a recent problem, and also I rarely wake up in the middle of the night.
So what might be the problem and what should I do if I want to fix this. It makes very angry and annoyed every morning. I will start using a sleep tracker secretly to check how I’m sleeping. But what do I do since I would like to sleep around 9 hours a night for my health and well-being, instead of letting my body restrict me to 6-7.

2023.05.30 15:50 catscantrolldice How to deal with problem characters?
Hi everyone! I've been dm'ing for my friends for over 4 years now but in my upcoming campaign I've invited three newer players to my group. Friend Alpha is someone I've played with many years ago, but Alpha played a rambuctious murder hobo (think link smashing pots in shops). The other potential problem player is my wife.
I ran a one-shot involving each player individually prior to the campaign. This was when I ran into some red flags.
My wife's character approached a castle gate manned by two guards. She rolled high on a perception check and realized that there was a necromancer and a small pack of zombies hiding in the woods looking to ambush the guards. She told the guards that she heard wolves off in the direction that the zombies were. While the guards went to investigate, she snuck through the gate and left the guards to their fate (they happened to die but that's besides the point). When I mentioned to my wife that this was very much an evil act (she figured her character was chaotic neutral) she shrugged it off and said "it's not my problem".
Friend Alpha went the Skyrim route and tried to pickpocket a shop keeper. He was then caught, and then went on a chase sequence trying to out-run the guards. He was eventually caught, and Alpha was upset that he was "being punished for playing my character".
How do you all deal with players like this? The other players as well as myself do not want to be in a party where this is a regular occurrence. These players' playstyles will definitely clash and I don't want this campaign to be run into the ground before it even starts. I preferably want to still play with all of these people, especially since Alpha and my wife are new to the game and are obviously good friends otherwise.

2023.05.30 15:50 Forsaken-Bar-4896 Advice on whether my workplace is operating in a legal way?
I have been working for a fairly popular international hospitality/entertainment chain since late last year and as much as I love my job and the people I work with I believe it to operate in a totally ridiculous way. I basically want to ask have I got any grounds to take this matter higher, or are they within their rights?
First off I got the job on the understanding it would be a full time role. It wasn’t until after my interview and at the start of my induction when I went to sign that I realised it’s actually a zero hour contract and when I pointed this out the management insisted I would still get full time hours. As a new 23 yr old graduate desperate to get out of late night bar work, I thought anything has to be better than this so I took the job.
My hours vary massively week to week, sometimes I get 25, sometimes I get 45. I don’t mind this too much as the busy weeks usually make up for the quiet ones when it comes to my wage. We are paid slightly above NLW now too which is nice. Except it makes no difference because the extra money I’m getting paid now means I’m just slightly over the threshold to have to pay tax.
The problem comes with how the shifts work week by week. We only get our rota 3-4 days before the following week, which honestly I’m used to having worked in bars and restaurants since I was a teen but the rota also features ‘standby’ shifts. I was never informed of these until after I signed my contract and had my induction. On average I get 2-3 standby shifts a week as well as regular rota’d shifts. These are either day or night standbys, if you start at 10am - you find out the night before at 9pm if you’re needed, if your start at 5pm you find out by 1pm that day. Even then sometimes they won’t call my standby but ask me to ‘please keep an eye on my phone unless it maybe becomes busy and we need you last min’. (Spoiler - most of the time it gets busy.)
Unfortunately due to the nature of the job though and how easily it can become unmanageably busy, often even when our standby shifts aren’t called we get desperate messages last minute every other day saying we need someone in asap. I don’t live round the corner from my work so I often find myself frantically trying to find transport and I’m always stressed and on edge. People tell me well ‘just don’t respond’ or ‘it’s their problem if they haven’t staffed properly’ but we’re in the middle of a cost of living crisis and frankly I need the hours as it’s hard enough as it is. There are times when I will be on site on my own (you need at least 4-5 staff members to operate at capacity) and suddenly due to online bookings (which are totally out of our control and can be on as short notice as 15 mins) I will be stressed and frantically having to call my manager to get cover. It’s not unusual to be asked to come in and then be asked to leave after a couple hours ‘because they’re over on staffing budgets’. Almost everyday is carnage and there’s no time to keep on top of any maintenance or proper cleaning on site as it’s so unpredictable. My managers and supervisors are perpetually burnt out and having to take breaks and get shifts covered and they then get chastised by higher ups, all of whom frankly have no idea what it’s like on site.
It’s impossible to have a routine or ever plan when you’re constantly at their beck and call. More recently we’ve had a team meeting in which we were encouraged to take more walk in bookings. When we said ‘but it’s such an unpredictable job you could end up taking a walk in and then being caught out by online bookings.’ We were told that in that circumstance we can just get staff to come in last minute. We were also basically told we need to get more reviews and deliver an even higher standard to service in order to achieve this. More recently I have been getting more and more shifts where I simply won’t get a break and I’m expected to be fine with this just because ‘it’s busy’ and that ‘they’re not allowed to spend anymore on staffing.’ Ive just got done from a bank holiday weekend with two almost eight hour shifts, both of which I didn’t get a break on. Baring in mind each guest pays almost £30 for a ticket at the place I work it just seems ridiculous. I know that their other sites have this standby system too as when you look through reviews from previous employees online this is the main reason stated for them leaving so management can’t be unaware of the issues.
What’s more is the workplace has such high expectations and standards for their staff. They’re so anal about online reviews and their 5* reputation as a company, we get pandered to about well-being and we’re told they care about us as employees but it certainly isn’t reflected in the way they operate. Almost four months ago we were told we were getting private healthcare entitlement but despite our managers enquiring, we’ve had absolutely nothing back from higher ups about how to access this. As well as this our working conditions come with no windows and no air conditioning, it’s starting to become unbearably warm with all the equipment and computers on top of the rising summer temperature outside.
I’ve tried to google about whether they’re within their rights, but honestly I just wondered if anyone has any advice about how I could go about trying to improve things? Do I approach higher ups? Is it futile and do I just focus my energy on getting a new job? Sorry this is so long I just feel at my wits end.

2023.05.30 15:50 Jaie_E The democratic party of Wisconsin does a little bit of trolling
" The Little White Schoolhouse, where a group of Whigs, Free Soilers and Democrats met to form a new, anti-slavery party in 1854, had been moved several times before, and the building’s owner, the Ripon Chamber of Commerce,
said the new location would make it easier to accommodate visitors when Republicans hold their national convention in Milwaukee next year. But the National Register of Historic Places was not impressed,
telling officials the schoolhouse would be delisted. The episode sparked a minor controversy in Republican Party circles around the state.
Whatever the logic — more parking, a planned visitor center with actual bathrooms in an old bank building next door — this piece of GOP history now sits across from a vape shop, near a car dealership, a Culver’s restaurant and a sewage treatment plant. For Bachleitner, chair of the Fond du Lac County GOP, it seemed evocative — not so much of the party’s history as, at least in Wisconsin, its decline. “It kind of looks like a circus show now,” he said. “You might as well put the world’s largest yarn ball next to it, or cheese curd.” When we met one recent morning at the plot of land where the schoolhouse previously stood, strips of caution tape dangled from posts beside a rubble-strewn pit, tread marks in the grass. “It’s so degrading,” Bachleitner said. lmao, get owned. I'm not a democrat but I have to hand it to them this was pretty funny and is made more funny by how upset the GOP is over it.

2023.05.30 15:50 charliechar99 How to communicate with a client?
I just got my first client. He given me his company profile ppt and told me to do what I can. Check the narrative of his ppt. Which I did. Very minor errors and formatting. I senf a screenshot of my work, I change the font color to make it appealing to the eye, made their message more direct and easy to digest. Had their message be more advocative in tone because they are a recyable product company.
I did all that. However he said it's already a very old ppt and may have a lot of errors. There really isn't any more. My issue is that it's really outdated. It looks outdated. So I took the liberty to make the ppt on canva. It looks better and organized. So I did two things. The first task was very easy but I don't know how to convince him that his task only needed minimal help and he didn't really need a copywriter for it? I still want to be paid but I'll feel bad if I get paid for a job that took less than 10 minutes to accomplish. Considering it's a 12 slide ppt.
I don't demand a high pay cause I am still a very fresh copywriter. However I feel like it's my duty to go above and beyond my tasks as a copywriter to make any problem of my client easier. Especially now considering my feelings towards my work about the first task.
How do I convince my client to accept the new ppt instead because it's more organized and overall better?

This is used to determine the Call or Put Premium associated with the pricing of options (implied volatility).
- Directional Bias: Ranges from -100 (bearish) to +100 (bullish) and accounts for RSI, price trend, moving averages, and put/call skew over the past 6 weeks.
- Priced Move: given the current option prices, how much in dollar amounts will the underlying have to move to make the call/put break even. This is how much vol the option is pricing in. The expected move.
- Expiration: 2023-07-07.
- Call/Put Premium: How much extra you are paying for the implied move relative to the historic move. Low numbers mean options are "cheaper." High numbers mean options are "expensive."
- Efficiency: This factor represents the bid/ask spreads and the depth of the order book relative to the price of the option. It represents how much traders will pay in slippage with a round trip trade. Lower numbers are less efficient than higher numbers.

- Why isn't my stock on this list? It doesn't have "weeklies", the underlying is "too cheap", or the options markets are too illiquid (open interest) to qualify for this strategy. 480 underlyings are used in this report and only the top results end up passing the criteria for each filter.

- E.R.: Days unitl the next Earnings Release. This feature is still in beta as we work on a more complete list of earnings dates.
- Why isn't my stock on this list? It doesn't have "weeklies", the underlying is "too cheap", or the options markets are too illiquid (open interest) to qualify for this strategy. 480 underlyings are used in this report and only the top results end up passing the criteria for each filter.

2023.05.30 15:50 WanabeInflatable Isn't antifeminism of MRAs overrated?
It is commonly assumed that MRAs are bad because they are against feminism. But feminism is also against MRM, so MRA claim that they are merely defending. I made a little experiment on MR sub and asked if they could be friends with feminists. I've got a lot of hateful replies, but also roughly half replies were positive:
If by feminist you mean, believe that men and women should have equals rights nothing more, sure why not.
If she supports men's issues and rights and is about equality as feminists are supposed to be. Then there is no problem.
I'm both feminist and MRA. Why would there be a problem? There are bad people on both sides, but we need both men and women to change this world.
the problem is radicals in both movements igniting conflict on purpose instead of concentrating on solving issues...
I already am friends with a feminist.
I am. If we leave behind the terms, and ask eachother: "do we want equal rights? Do we want to reduce inequality?". Most will answer yes. I find that if we argue on the basic ideas instead of using terms like mens rights and feminism, usually we agree far more than we disagree. It's like loaded terms gives loaded responses and assumptions, and usually we agree on an egalitarian approach, but said person sticks with the term feminism because they belive it means equality. I highly reccomend trying it: if u have a friend who proclaims feminism, ask to have a conversation without terms from modern feminism and mens rights, and focus in the core principles of what equality is
If we could maintain a civil discourse I'd love to talk. It's when one side or the other starts as hominem attacks that I decide not to speak
I tried to be friends with one and tried to put differences aside, they told me they hope I get raped for disagreeing with them.
Well, if she isn't a radical 'kill all men' kind of feminist, then sure. I am not actually opposed to feminism, so it would not be a problem with me. I see myself as a feminist as well, in the way that I think men and women are equal in value. Men have problems, and women have problems. I think MRA and feminists should actually work together, as both strife for equality for the genders. It is a noble thing from both perspectives. Sadly, both sides have radicals and sexists among them.
I am feminist, who: doesn't approve of bodyshaming men ('small dick energy') hate that men are being drafted to war. Women should be too, or nobody should. there are male victims of DV, they are even less believed than women does care about men's mental health, for men it is harder to seek help. when a 15 year old boy has sex with his 30 years old teacher, it is abuse. He is not 'lucky' And yes there is some misandry in feminist movement, and those radical feminists (I rather call them female incels) are quite loud. But it is like 1 in 10, rest of them is nice I think your view is distorted, you are seing only the crazy ones Most of my feminist friends are nice to their boyfriends and certainly don't hate men
I only quoted first level comments, there were also people who defended Askfem for actually mentioning real issues men face.
Takeaway:
Do MRA hate feminism? - Yes some of them do. But roughly half of them wouldn't hate feminism if given opportunity to reconcile and stop hostilities.
Would you personally be interested in bringing some people out of antifeminism?

2023.05.30 15:50 ThrowRA_Nightmare 27M - 35F - girl is crushing on me - where do I go from here?
27M — I live in an apt building and about a week ago, a maintenance staff pulled me aside and said “you have an secret admirer she saw you and said damn he’s hot”
I laughed and he told me who and I recognized her car, which she has a smoking hot Mercedes AMG, I have one too!
Well, a few weeks later, today we leave the garage like the same time and end up going several miles in the same direction. I rolled down my window beeped and gave her a thumbs up about her car. She just kinda smiled / acknowledged it and gave me a high beam flash.
I blasted ahead and she caught up and was driving hard, it was awesome! We drove as a pack for about 10 miles and I had to exit — when I did she gave me a triple high beam flash to say “good bye”
I found which unit she’s in and I’m wondering how weird it’d be to just go say hi?
Like knock on the door and say “hey, just wanted to introduce myself!”
Creepy? Too forward?
Maybe it’s more appropriate to just leave a friendly note on her car complimenting it? That way it’s not too sexual / on the spot and I could always play it off that I just liked her car?
FWIW, I’ve never seen her in real life as far as I can recall. Clearly that is… I know her car and yes saw her on the road, but window tints…
