Hyundai dealerships in westchester county ny

A 2017 Hyundai Santa Fe 3.3 L with only 150,000 km's (kilometres) on it just suddenly died on the highway while driving. No oil or engine lights warned of anything - no knocking sounds or loud noises - there was still oil in the car - next oil change was due in the next 1000 km so it was being maintained regularly. Sitting at a Hyundai dealership waiting to be diagnosed but suspect its the same thing everyone is talking about online. Other than the lawsuit filed in Canada (via Montreal) does anyone know or experienced the same thing? Has Hyundai helped at all with the repairs?

I recently got a quote for a Hyundai Kona SE for 0 down payment, $403 due at signing and 403 monthly payment. I am trying to lease in NYC/NY. I hadn’t made my purchasing decision and the dealer came back at the start of new new month saying over 2500 would be due at signing and the monthly payment was up.
Am I missing something here? How can these payments be so variable? What could have caused this or am I just being worked?

Hello All, I have a 2022 Hyundai Santa Fe XRT and I recently started to notice that my car is leaking oil (Felt like an oil). Everyday I see spots of oil on the floor at front of the engine. I checked the oil level and there’s still some oil in the car. I called my Hyundai dealership right away to schedule an appointment. They kept giving me the run around for a week. Then they finally told me “Sorry, we’re busy and we can’t get you a sooner appointment” soonest available appointment they had available was mid July. Fortunately, I was able to find a sooner appointment at a different Hyundai dealership. The appointment is in 10 days.” Also, I checked the blue-link app. It shows oil level as “Ok” This new issue with my car is making me very worried. Is this something very serious?

I've been shopping for a car at dealerships and these fees are getting out of control. I've come across dealership fees in the 4 figures, electronic registration fee, document fees, delivery fees (for vehicles already on the lot), and other creatively named BS fees.
I thought I'd found a good price on a used vehicle, but the fees took it from 18k to 21k before tax.
Tax, tag, and title vary by the customer or county, and that money is going to the government, not the dealership. I get that.
Anything else is just additional profit for the dealership, though.
I'd love to see a law requiring them to only advertise the final before T,T,&T price. I can't see why anyone, other than dealerships, would be against this.
Am I missing something?

Hey all. Just wanted to post my personal pistol permit process timeline in Erie County, NY.
6/18/22- Submitted packet to Pistol Permit Office. 4/10/23- Detective called me and my references on this day. 5/23/23- Permit issued but never received letter, no restrictions. 6/6/23- Went to Pistol Permit Office and picked up approval in person.
Good luck to everyone still in the process. Stay patient. In the meantime I’m going gun shopping! Thinking a Springfield XD9 for the first one.

Dad got back from the CPO dealership it was bought from, that also did the update today. Said that he was told the update will only prevent the car from being stolen via the immobilizer if the remote is used to arm - if any of the keys are used to lock the car, it won't be armed & can still be stolen via the USB ignition exploit. Is that correct?
ETA1: Guess I'm just confirming that what applies to a 2018 Kona also applies to a 2013 Elantra.
ETA2: Just ran a test where I unlocked the car with a key, sat down in driver, started car with that key, opened the window, stopped car & pulled that key from ignition, opened & shut the door, stuck my hand with that key out the window & key-locked the car from outside keyhole, pulled that key out, waited >30 seconds, stuck that key back in ignition & tried to start car, alarm went off, no-start. Stopped alarm with the remote, which I didn't touch until that point.
Also tested the same thing but without the 30 second wait, and the car restarted without alarm. Dad & I should have tested both ways before going to the dealer, because we can't remember if that was how it always worked. I almost always unlocked with the remote & locked with the remote or the power door lock on driver panel. Dad only used a key for consistency with other vehicles.
My conclusion from those tests is that it's possibly better than the spiel. If the alarm is armed 30 seconds after locking by key, and the car won't start WITH the key without unlocking the doors first to disarm, why would the armed car start with anything but the key in ignition turner instead?

My Hyundai Santa Fe (46k miles) has been making this slapping/ bumping sound in the front right suspension for a while, and the sound is now beginning to occur on the front left as well. I hear it when coasting and braking at pretty much any speed. I don’t have a video of the sound yet, but it’s more of a rumble sound than a clunk. All of the suspension components feel tight when I jiggle them by hand, but obviously my hand can’t put out the same force that the 5,000 pound car can.
Here are my findings from todays inspection
Oil or grease slung around the inside of the front left rim. I forgot to check the front right. I had to rush to put everything back together because it started raining.
Both front cv axles make a clunking sound when I jiggle them. The right side is substantially worse than the left. (The video is of the right side. Both front tires are also worn all the way through the tread on the insides. They are about 60% worn over all
I’m hoping someone can help me figure this out! The dealership said it’s because the tires are worn but even after rotating them, the sound still comes from the front end

Obviously, if I can save the money by doing the leg work myself I’d like do. But the internet is kind of vague on the actual steps of going about it.
Can anyone tell me if it’s worth subverting the dealership?
Is it worth the extra fees to just be done with it?
The buyout quote is $16k — do I get approved for a loan before I go?
I’m naive and I just really don’t want to be taken advantage of if I can help it.

She displayed a deep committed to her family. This includes being the loving wife to inventor, entrepreneur and American icon Thomas Edison. She was also a loving and dedicated mother.
In addition, Mina demonstrated a strong passion for her community with the endless organizations that she contributed a tremendous amount of time and energy.
Mina was born into an entrepreneurial family on July 6, 1865. As the Miller family continued to grow, Mina was the seventh of eleven children born to inventor Lewis Miller and Mary Alexander. Her parents had a love for education. Mina attended and graduated from Akron High School in Ohio. After high school, she went on to study at a home and day school in Boston.

Chautauqua Institution sets on the shores of beautiful Chautauqua Lake in southwestern New York State. The Institution was originally called the Chautauqua Lake Sunday School Assembly. The Multiple Achievements of Mina Miller

Marriage to Thomas Edison

When Mina Miller met Thomas Edison, she was promised to her gentleman suitor, George Vincent, the son of Bishop Vincent. Edison learned that Mina would be staying the summer at Chautauqua, he arranged to spend time there to win her and meet her family. Thomas Edison’s hearing was badly compromised by this time from when he was a child so he taught Mina to send and receive Morse code. That summer, he used it to ask her to marry him. He tapped “Will you Marry Me?” on Mina’s hand, and she said “Yes.”
The next step was getting permission from Mina’s Father Lewis, to which Thomas wrote this:
“I trust you will not accuse me of egotism when I say that my life and history and standing are so well known as to call for no statement concerning myself. My reputation is so far made that I recognize I must be judged by it for good or ill. I need only add in conclusion that the step I have taken in asking your daughter to entrust her happiness into my keeping has been the result of mature deliberation, and with the full appreciation of the responsibility and the duty I have undertaken to fulfill. I do not deny that your answer will seriously affect my happiness, and I trust my suit will meet with your approval.”
This letter won the approval of Mr. Miller. The date for the wedding was set for February 24, 1886, hardly more than a year after they met. She was only 20 years old. Oak Place, the Miller home in Akron, was to be the site of the wedding. Father Miller and his Mary Valinda spared no expense in seeing that the nuptials were an occasion to be remembered.

Managing a Home Full of Staff and Children

When Mina and Thomas Edison got married she was much younger then her husband. She became the stepmother to his three children. Still being young herself she was not fully ready for motherhood. However, Mina Miller Edison took charge of the household. Often times Thomas was not around due to his work. This left Mina in charge of hiring the house staff as well as raising the children. Furthermore, she gave herself the title of “home executive”. Mina also held ownership of Glenmont. The home she shared with Thomas. Owning and managing her own home was the first of many successes for Mina.

Children of Her Own

Two years after their marriage Mina and Thomas added to their family with their first child, Madeleine. This started the same pattern of children Thomas had with his first wife. Their daughter was soon followed by two sons, Charles and Theodore.

Madeleine Edison

Madeleine was born on May 31st, 1888, the first child born to Mina. She was born in Glenmont, the Edison Family home in New Jersey. Madeleine married John Eyre Sloane. She married him in the Drawing Room at Glenmont on June 17, 1914. Madeleine and John had four sons, who happened to be Thomas Edison’s only grandchildren from either marriage.
Madeleine briefly ran for Congress in 1938, she sadly lost. During World War II she gave much of her time to blood drives for the New Jersey Red Cross. She also administered the Edison Birthplace in Milan, Ohio after her mother’s death. She died on February 14, 1979.

Charles Edison

Charles Edison was born into the Edison Family at the Glenmont on August 3, 1890. He married Carolyn Hawkins, whom he had met in 1912 then married on March 27, 1918. Finally, he became president of his father’s company, Thomas A. Edison, Incorporated, in 1927. He ran the company until it was sold in 1959.
Charles is the best known because of his second career, in public service. In the mid-1930s he served in the cabinet of President Franklin Roosevelt. First as Assistant Secretary of the Navy, then as Acting Secretary. New Jersey voters elected him as their governor in 1940. He also founded a charitable foundation that now bears his name, the Charles Edison Fund. He died on July 31, 1969

Theodore Miller Edison

Theodore Miller Edison was the last to be born at Glenmont on July 10, 1898. He attended the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, from which he earned his physics degree in 1923. He was the only member of the Edison family to graduate from college.
Theodore did work for his father’s company after graduation. After starting as an ordinary lab assistant, he worked his way up to technical director of research and engineering for Thomas A. Edison, Inc. He eventually founded his own company, Calibron Industries, Inc. Also, he built his own smaller laboratory in West Orange. Theodore earned over 80 patents in his career. In 1925 he married Anna Maria Osterhout, a graduate of Vassar. He became an ardent environmentalist. Theodore lived in West Orange with his wife Anna until his death on November 24, 1992.

Mina’s Step-Children

With the marriage between Thomas and Mina, she took on his three children from the first marriage. Marion, twelve years old, Thomas, Jr. ten years old, and William Leslie eight years old. She continued to struggle with her relationship with her stepdaughter. Mina’s stepchildren did not take education as seriously as she did. They believed that Edison’s fame could make their future for them. Finally, due to this belief, Mina’s stepchildren went on to live less acclaimed lives as the other Edison children.

Marion Estelle Edison

Marion was the first born of Thomas Edison’s children. She was born on February 18, 1873, and gained the nickname “Dot” as a child after Morse Code. In 1895 she married Karl Oscar Oeser, a German army lieutenant. They lived in Germany through the First World War. Unfortunately, her marriage ended in divorce in 1921. Finally, she then returned to the United States, where she died on April 16, 1965.

Thomas Alva Edison Jr

Thomas Alva, Junior, was born on January 10, 1876. He had the nickname “Dash” after Morse Code like his sister. He went on to marry stage actress Marie Louise Toohey in 1899. However, the marriage ended within a year. He next married Beatrice Heyzer. Thomas Jr sold the use of his name to advertise “quack” medicines and dubious inventions. His father disapproved of this and eventually asked him to change his name. Thomas Jr. briefly went by the name of Thomas Willard. His efforts at inventing and starting a mushroom farm failed. Finally, he died on August 25, 1935.

William Leslie Edison

William Leslie was born on October 26, 1878. He went to school at St. Paul’s School, Concord, New Hampshire. Then also attended J.M.Hawkins School on Staten Island. He later studied at the Sheffield scientific school at Yale. William soon married Blanche Travers. William Edison served in the military during the Spanish-American War in 1898. He also served again in the First World War. Like his brother he turned to farm life, breeding chickens. Finally, he died on August 10, 1937.

Chautauqua Institute and Mina’s Influence

Mina’s father’s love for Chautauqua was passed down to his daughter. Mina dedicated herself to many organizations locally. She supported many land and wildlife conservation. Often times Mina would donate her own funds to projects for Chautauqua. Mina became a trustee of the institute. Others involved in Chautauqua held Mina in high regards. Also much like her father, Mina continued her involvement with her beloved Institute until her passing in 1947.
Mina was active in many different organizations and clubs including:

• The American Red Cross
• The Chautauqua Association
• West Orange Community League (President From 1912-1919)
• National Audubon Society
• Chautauqua Bird and Tree Club
• The John Burroughs Association
• The Daughters of the American Revolution
• The School Garden Association of America

The Thomas Alva Edison Foundation

After Thomas Edison passed away, Mina started The Thomas Alva Edison Foundation in his memory. The foundation combined both Thomas’s and Mina’s passions. Mina’s love for education and Thomas’s love for science. However, later on, the nature of the foundation changed. It was no longer dedicated to advancements in science and education. Finally, it became a foundation aimed at preserving Thomas Edison’s name and accomplishments

Went to multiple Toyota and Hyundai (rav 4/ Highlander & Santa Fe/Tuscan hybrids) dealerships to test drive cars listed in their inventory on their websites. Either have 0 hybrids and are on back order for 1 year + like Toyota rav4’s, hylander hybrid 3-6 months. While I confirmed I was coming to look at Hyundai Santa Fe Was told Hyundai had one hybrid Tuscan to test drive, had been to so many dealers and got confused on the packages. Wanted a hybrid suv with sunroof. Was told the model w/sunroof was 6 months on back order implying non sunroof model is available. I totaled my car (other drivers fault) so didn’t necessarily have 6 months to wait, well it’s the xrt not a hybrid. I have had it 3 days I feel like I was explicit in wanting a hybrid then realized when looking at gas/mileage it’s regular fuel. What do I do? I feel so dumb.

Hello all! Apologies if this sort of question comes up a lot. Three days ago i closed on a used 2021 Rav4 from a Hyundai dealership (i’m in Alberta). Budget was around $35k; the car’s price $36,500. Test drove, all was fine, started to talk numbers. I put 10k down + 5k trade-in, if that matters. They presented all the add-ons - a $3600 package that includes oil changes; another $1500 for car protection (paint, 3M tape, etc) - I rejected all but the mandatory admin/financing fees.
Met finance mgr who tried to upsell oil changes again, plus other stuff, but i said no. I was there over 4 hours, in and out of the mgr’s office, waiting for financing approval and such. I even complained i was tired and hungry, hoping they’d speed things up. I tried to keep vigilant on the papers, and even spotted some extra charges they casually tried to slip by me. Finance mgr said they’ll gift me some of the protection for free anyway, like the 3M tape and some coating or the other.
Eventually signed everything, awaiting pick up in a few days. Was so busy over the next 2 days, I only just now brought up the bill of sale to go over again. I saw car price was set at $41,000! Looked around and saw that they still added the protection and maintenance packages ($5,100!!!) which I declined several times. I should’ve known as the bi-weekly payments were way more than I’d estimated.
It goes without saying - I messed up big time. I was not sharp in looking over the documents and somehow missed this glaring addition. Financing is processed, bill of sale signed, auto payments start in a week, i pick up the car tomorrow. While i await the finance mgr who’s away from office till later today, i’m here asking for advice. Can anything be done at this point?? Thanks in advance for any suggestions.
Oh and I put down $1,000; have not paid the rest of the $14,000 including trade-in yet. Also, I was given 8.99% interest rate “because the banks typically don’t give less for purchases less than about $35k”. Well turns out my purchase was for 41k so…
(I messed up and am well aware, so dear Redditors, have mercy!)

Another last edit; I'm gonna get it changed somewhere locally or myself. I was only going to dealer for the recall too.
I got the new Santa Fe and it's time for an oil change and I made an appt when the levels were around 20% but seems like based on the length of my driving, I am already at 10% but the appt is still couple weeks out. Like idk why but most Hyundai dealers in NJ are fully booked until end of July to Early August. (O.O)
Should I just get an oil change somewhere local and then have Hyundai change it again when it's time for appt or they won't change it if it's recently been changed somewhere else? I even checked dealers away from where I got my car and still same scenario, everyone is booked up.
I know it's a weird question but it's worth asking at least lol.
Edit 2: I meant 10% as in oil quality, not level. If I was down to 10% oil level then I'd not be on reddit asking and I'd be running to the dealership.

I love playing basketball once the weather permits. Sometimes, it's tough finding a game nearby. I'm sure other people out there have had the same problem. I am hoping we can all use this group to post games or find games easily. Sportsmanship, safety, finding competition at your skill level are important. I'm not good at using reddit so any advice how to make this work ia welcome.

I live in Utah and a few weeks ago, I went to a Hyundai dealership in Washington state to lease a new car, as that was the only place I could find a particular trim/color that I wanted.
I got a 3-day trip permit from WA state to drive the car back to Utah, and since then, I have been unable to get the car titled and registered in Utah. Because the dealership is out of state, they just said they would give me the paperwork I needed and I could go in person to the Utah DMV to handle it myself.
They mailed me the MSO and the odometer disclosure statement, but the DMV says that because this is a lease, I need POA from the leasing company in order to title the car in Utah. The dealership thinks that is incorrect.
The dealership had me sign in Section 6 as the Owner on form TC-656 Vehicle Application for Utah Title. I thought this was weird as I'm not really the owner of a car in a lease. The DMV is expecting to see the leasing company as the owner listed on the form and their signature, OR they said I could sign for them as long as I had that POA I mentioned earlier. The dealership is insisting that this is wrong and they have never encountered this situation before doing other out of state deals, but admitted they don't deal with Utah much...
At this point I'm 3 weeks into a lease for a car that is sitting in my garage that I can't drive, and the dealership I've been dealing with hasn't inspired much confidence that they know what they are doing. Has anyone dealt with this situation before? Any advice on what needs to be done?

Here are all of the new US CHAdeMO (Leaf fast-charging) stations that rolled out in May 2023, according to the U.S. Department of Energy.
There were 124 "new" CHAdeMOs added in May. To put it in perspective, there were 112 CHAdeMO chargers added in April. I think the pace of CHAdeMO rollout has stabilized, while the pace of CCS rollout is still increasing. This makes sense given that only Nissan still makes a CHAdeMO car.
Some of these chargepoints will be "refreshes," e.g. the provider replaced them with faster chargers etc. Some may be incorrect. This report is only as good as the Alternative Fuels Data Center data.
We all know that CHAdeMO is a legacy format and will eventually go away, but clearly Nissan and their partners are continuing to support it for the time being. This shouldn't be surprising. After all, you can still buy a new Leaf.

Here are all of the new US CCS (Level 3 fast-charging) stations that rolled out in May 2023, according to the Department of Energy. These chargers are suitable for most new EVs on the market, except for:

1. Tesla drivers who haven't bought the official CCS adapter yet. Certain older Teslas need additional work done to accept the adapter.
2. Leaf owners like me, and some owners of older cars that also use CHAdeMO. If you drive a Leaf, or an older CHAdeMO car, see my matching post in leaf.

Some of these chargepoints will be "refreshes," e.g. the provider replaced them with faster chargers etc. Some may be incorrect. This report is only as good as the Alternative Fuels Data Center data.
There were 222 CCS charge points added or refreshed in May 2023, which is up from 171 in April. For comparison, there were only 74 new CCS charge points in May 2022. Things are speeding up.
"What about CCS charging at Tesla superchargers?" Tesla is in the process of rolling out their "magic dock" for non-Tesla cars, but so far in very few locations. If they start doing this at scale and reporting it to the Alternative Fuels Data Center then it will be reflected here.
"What about Ford vehicles with NACS (Tesla) plugs?" They are not on sale yet. Current-generation Ford vehicles have CCS plugs. The next generation will have NACS (Tesla) plugs, but will also support CCS via an adapter.

Hey! Just purchased a new 2023 Hyundai Tucson Hybrid SEL Conv the other day and now I'm posting here at 3am with buyers remorse. I financed the car for $680/month (5.9% for 60 months. Im aware that dealerships don't take returns but I'm messaging you all to see my options. I could afford the car but I will need to budget and I feel that if I need to budget to afford this car then maybe I shouldn't have the car haha. It seemed like a very doable payment at the time but now Any advice is massively appreciated! I have no other loans or debts
