Last week, u/ExistentialPuggle posted an amazing list of things to do in Baton Rouge that weekend and a lot of people got excited about all the fun things going on, while others shared adfitional events happening around the city. One Redditor commented that they didn’t realize how many great things Baton Rouge has going on and this is something I’ve noticed happening a lot, so my goal is to let people know all the great things Baton Rouge has to offer and hope they share it with others.
Adam Knapp, BRAC’s new president, said his biggest concern is that compared to other cities like Lafayette and New Orleans, Baton Rouge does not have “insane community pride” and looking at this subreddit proves he’s right. I know its hard to be proud of this city. I know we’ll never be #1 on any positive list and am use to scrolling down to the bottom lists to find us but I’m a Baton Rougian for life and try to find as much pride to have in gvis city as possible.
I’m usually a lurker and not much if a poster, so it might take me a few tries to get the format right. Also, with Reddit deciding to compleywly fuck over 3rd party apps, I’m not aure how easy posting will be once Apollo no longer exists.
The places I’m currently looking for events are news sources, local magzines, the library and local wbesite. If you have any other recommendations on where to look, please share.

Idk maybe I’m helping one person. I thought for Collapsed Mine I could play no cards, but move Nightcrawler. Turns out no, moving Nightcrawler or Jeff means you did something, so your turn wasn’t skipped.
In hindsight it should have been obvious based on the wording of the location, but I also haven’t dusted off my Move deck since before Collapsed Mine came out so until now Collapsed Mine has just been “don’t play anything” lol

Transit authorities all over the world employ technology to interact with hard-to-reach audiences and make sure that every passenger impacted by significant network updates has the opportunity to voice their opinions.
Consider that you ride one bus each day. It picks you up from near your home and drops you off close to where you need to walk to get to work. Afterward, the bus doesn't arrive one morning. The service to your station has been altered according to your transit company.
The scenario mentioned above is precisely what public participation procedures are designed to avoid. Community meetings, stakeholder workshops, and other public forums have been used for years by transit agencies and MPOs around the nation to get direct feedback from local citizens on service modifications.
The central focus of designing a distinctive planning tool is to ensure active participation of stakeholders. It promotes open communication among citizens and facilitates interaction between residents and decision-makers in the transportation sector. This is achieved through various features such as public view, commenting options, mobile commenting, etc.

Map view and Public commenting

The maps were created with the general public in mind. It is known as "public view." Planners can narrow down the vast amount of information at their disposal to the most important elements of a plan, such as transit lines, stops, on-demand zones, and the hours and frequency of operation, when that information is accessible to the public. Public users can engage with the map, zooming in on specifics and browsing through various parts of their neighbourhood, just like agency workers can. After that, if enabled, the general public can post comments directly on the map (like Google Docs for transit). Then, planners may quickly share optimised input with other stakeholders by exporting these remarks as a CSV.
Planners can also use annotations to draw attention to particular elements of a plan or solicit feedback on specific modifications. Instead of holding one or two in-person town hall meetings, government organisations can establish a time for public commenting, after which they can turn off public access and consider all feedback before moving forward with their plans.
Map View:
In a transportation or ride-sharing app, a map view typically allows users to visualize their current location, nearby vehicles, and available routes. Here are some features that could be included in a map view:

• User Location: The map can display the user's current location using GPS data, providing an overview of their surroundings.
• Nearby Vehicles: QRyde is a ride-sharing platform where the map view can show nearby available vehicles, including their real-time location, type, and other relevant information.
• Routing and Directions: Users can input their destination, and the map view can provide directions and recommended routes based on traffic conditions, distance, and estimated time of arrival.
• Real-Time Updates: The map can continuously update the user's location and provide real-time information about traffic congestion, accidents, or any other events that may affect the travel experience.

Public Commenting:

Public commenting is a feature that allows users to provide feedback or share their experiences with the service or specific locations. Here's how public commenting can be implemented:

Bringing more voices to the table

While both online and in-person hearings are useful for gathering feedback, they exclude those who are unable to participate in a live meeting. While fliers posted at transit stops can reach a wider audience, they typically only allow for one-way communication because few commuters are eager to carefully examine a physical map and submit an email outlining their ideas in the middle of the trip.
Riders may quickly scan a QR code on their smartphone to see an interactive map and write comments while on the move thanks to agency staff members who can download the code and add it to print fliers. An agency's community engagement toolset must include resources like map view, real-time updates, review, ratings, etc.

New player here! Two of my friends are higher level than I am and have power armor, and one of them gave me a power armor chassis and three pieces of raider armor for it. I have full raider for it plus the pieces they gave me. I have another friend who should be joining our group soon and I am wishing as a way of spreading the kindness to get them a power armor chassis as well. It will be a while before either of us can use the power armor but it would still be nice to have to accompany my other two friends and help them. Just wondering if anyone knows any locations for power armor with preferably raider but I’ll take anything, I’ve checked a few locations they apparently used to spawn in but can’t find them, and am wondering if the uncompleted suits still spawn anywhere or if you have to craft them? Any help is appreciated!

I was watching very old episodes of This Old House, season 19 from about 1997. In one scene they are going through a garbage bin talking about recycling some different items that are in it. At the 3:32 mark Steve Thomas goes “What about this old computer?“ and picks up an Amiga 500 and quickly dispatches it to the trash haul. Ooof. I bought mine in 1988 and thought it was pretty funny to see one whizzed by the screen really quick as a piece of junk.

I ate a piece of bread yesterday.
And I can safely say I regretted it with all my might. I instantly got sleepy, I felt really bloated, had a strange feeling in my gut. But most importantly - I had heart palpitations. To explain that feel, It's basically as if my heart was beating 2x more prominently, the rhythm was normal but it felt like my heart was going to jump out of my chest. (Besides that I was okay, I felt good - Normal day.)
I have been eating GF for a while now and never experienced this. But I noticed whenever I eat even the slightest of gluten I get one of these "symptoms", sometimes I can't fall asleep even.
I maybe could be allergic, I don't know.

Each faction was going to need an encampment, and Mordecai decided to start there. He placed each one on opposite sides of the cavern at its widest point, approximately midway between the entrance and exit. He’d sculpted the cavern to have interesting terrain, so the widest point was a touch off of the center.
He was only going to do part of the work for the encampments, leaving the customization to the laganthros who would be playing the parts. For the moment he started by clearing out a circle of terrain for each side, with half of the circle being carved out of the wall behind them and the other half being out front. The sub-caverns created this way were 20 feet tall, giving them plenty of room to build as they liked.
Now he created small gardens for a new set of mushrooms, special breeds for use as items. The first set of cultivated fungi had their use based off of their normal appearance:
Broad-capped mushrooms were reinforced and designed to be readily broken off to be used as shields. A variant of Morels whose craggy nooks could be used as shelving, trumpet-shaped mushrooms that could be used for a limited time to greatly amplify shouted words, bell-shaped mushrooms that would actually chime when a living creature approached, squat trunk mushrooms that could be grown small or large to act as stools or tables, plus some cupped shaped ones that could easily become actual cups or bowls. He would create more as requested, he couldn’t think of everything himself that others might need, but the goal was to make it so that the two factions had almost everything they needed to equip themselves and to build.
Mordecai ventured further afield with his next set of mushrooms for gardening however. The living crystal had given him an idea when he’d considered the problem of making normally metal items. The mushrooms in this field grew in a variety of shapes but were very heavily infused with living crystals and all grew in spreading patterns. The outer heads are where the crystal would concentrate the most, eventually causing them to crack off on the outermost edge. The resulting material could be knapped much like flint or obsidian to a razor-sharp edge, but over the next couple of days would harden to a toughness more like that of nephrite, i.e. true jade. Jadeite was the more common stone called jade because of its similar appearance, but it was not quite as tough or as hard as nephrite.
It wouldn’t cover everything metal could do, but would be more than sufficient for making weapons if napped, or for anything from art to tools if shaped only after it was fully hardened. Empires could be founded without advanced metallurgy if they had access to even normal nephrite, let alone what could be done with this crystal.
He also altered some mushrooms to sit more ‘in between’. With a more lightweight infusion of crystal for structural support, it was not hard to create fungi whose various parts could be used as raw construction material, whether akin to ropes or materials that could act like wood, if a touch spongier.
Now that he had raw materials down, it was time to call in his troops. Most of them were simply going to be the strongest of the laganthros in their respective specialties, though he did have a couple of additions to make.
The right side encampment was the easiest to assign, calling up some ‘light cavalry’ mounted on polecats, and some aerial cavalry in the form of mages mounted on dracobits, with scouting/infantry support from rangers bonded to caracals.
The left side he gave to ‘heavy infantry’, though he had to make their mounts first. The Riverbridge gifts and trades came in handy here as there had been some farm animals included, and before long he had his porcini boars. And he had them live up to the pun too, growing the squat mushrooms from their thick hide and fur, forming a natural saddle shape as well as extra protection for both the boar and the rider. It was admittedly a more outlandish hybridization than, say, an owl bear, but at least he’d be able to adjust and fix any issues that cropped up.
For support, he gave them various rabbats as ‘falconry’, providing both scouts and an aerial force, and sharpshooters of both archery and gun varieties. The guns were one of the few things that absolutely had to be made out of metal, he couldn’t find a way to reinforce any form of crystal to withstand the shock pressure of the firing chamber. Maybe as a deeper dungeon they could create a heavily enchanted crystal if they wanted to, but it didn’t seem worth the effort.
And the final creation for this level he made as support for both sides, though purely defensively. To take the place of guard dogs, he altered and enlarged some badgers, creating two colonies of Giant Badgers. He only had to alter their base personalities a little, most badgers were quite capable of being social and of being aggressively defensive, he just had to tighten up their pack bonding and ability to work in groups. He also made sure that they were completely immune to all fungal spores and toxins to be found in this dungeon, which also gave them a general boost against toxins and diseases. Dungeon creatures may not have to eat, but it feels natural for them to do so and he wanted to fit them in here with the ability to eat any mushrooms.
Once he was certain that everything was settled well enough, he met with the leaders of his two factions in the safe-space camping spot at the level’s entrance.
“So, what do you think of your enclaves?” Was what he started with, and that led to a couple of hours of discussions, questions, and answers. When all that was settled, Mordecai moved on to making sure everyone was on the same page concerning rules.
“I want this to be a bit more free form than what we’ve done before. You don’t absolutely have to fight any dungeon challengers, but you do have to play the part of a warring party on high alert and be highly suspicious of intruders.” He grinned at them. “If you need to, you can take some acting lessons from your cousins on the third floor. Might make for a good part of that training exchange I set up previously. But you don’t have to let them pass by either. You can deny them passage, you can demand tribute, you can form alliances, or otherwise act how you like. This should all be very dynamic. The only rule I make absolute for you and yours is that this zone right here is a safe space for them. Mind, I am only being so nice here, the ‘wildlife’ won’t be burdened by that obligation, but generally won’t have a reason to attack this location anyway.”
“And when there aren’t any challengers?” Asked one of the troop captains.
“Mostly up to you for the details, I just want at least some of you to be training against each other most days. You’ve been very diligent in forming your own schedules before, I don’t see any reason to change that now. But I’ll let you know if I spot anything I think can be improved on. Similarly, I expect you to let me know if there is anything I can improve. I think I’ve balanced your forces, the forest is heavy enough to keep the mages and dracobits from dominating the battlefield, but if your battle practice shows that I need to change that balance, I want you to tell me.”
The rabbit folk talked with each other for a bit, then when they had reached a consensus turned back to him. “We’re satisfied with this new role my lord. There are a few who have decided they aren’t quite comfortable here after all, but we can find some other recruits to fill their spots so you don’t have to worry about it.”
“Excellent. Oh, one final thing, as a default no one is to support the boss fight.” Which was a change from most of the previous floors. “The exception is if your enclave is assaulted. If that happens and you survive, then you should rally at the final chamber for the floor and support the boss or bosses.”
“Oh, what do you have planned for our bosses?” Came the excited query.
Mordecai smiled. “Well, I’ll show you before too long. For now, you should know that they are not going to start out the brightest and could be hazardous if you get too close, so be very careful if you do end up supporting them. And their names will be Sarcomaag and Klastoria.”
“What is up with those names?” Kazue’s voice asked in his head.
“I’m just having some fun messing around with relevant words.” he replied before focusing back on the faction leaders. “I think they’ll be an interesting new challenge for people who get this far.”

While the two dungeon cores had fun finally building out their fifth level, the rest of the world continued about its business. Their wife was finishing her preparations to come back home and bring Kazue’s father with her, including a quick side shopping trip that she was very careful to not let them in on, which was much easier to do while they were distracted.
Traveling south from the capital city was a merchant caravan with a champion as part of its escort. They moved slowly of course, but by the time they had to start setting up camp the last spires of the city’s central keep were lost over the horizon behind them.
News of their existence was beginning to spread in earnest now, and some of that news even managed to get their names right. The oddness of a dual-core was going to stir curiosity at the least, but it was Mordecai’s name that would serve as the biggest catalyst for making their life more interesting, in differing measures of good and ill.

I got diagnosed with bipolar and the meds (Wellbutrin is the culprit, but I’m on others) make me so goddamn horny. I want to fuck. I’m an evolutionary biologist, and I know I was literally DESIGNED to fuck. Why does it hurt???? Why do I have to get high to fix it??
I’ve thoughts for years and years that it’s my hymenal tissue. I got a Zhumell Z10 for $550, and all the optics look great. It’s my first telescope, and I hit an issue I was not expecting; the base doesn’t swivel. The wood warped so bad that its just grinding together so bad its easier to just lift the telescope up and turn it. Obviously, when I try to do 300x zoom on something, I can’t find it, and if I do I can’t track it at all. How would I go about getting a new one/ fixing it?

I’ve talked to everyone and made sure I didn’t put it in a chest at home or anything…what did I do? Is there something obvious I’m missing or did I just bork my whole game?

I’m a 22 F ; my ex bf lied about getting tested regularly & ended up giving my me this virus as well the clap. As of now I’ve been dealing with it by myself for what will soon be 8 months and so far I’ve had to turned down a number of people when it comes to letting them get to know me or them wanting to have sexual relations w/me. I even had to reject the boy I really cared about due to fear of infecting him and the possibility of getting rejected by him if he found out. I’ve done research and I take all the vitamins needed for my immune system to fight this. I’ve even made an oil based concoction to apply vaginally to help get rid of the gws ( mines are extremely tiny - imagine the size of poppy seeds & there are very few thankfully)
However I’ve only gotten one dose of the hpv vaccine shot since finding out I have this. ( I don’t have insurance anymore nor can I afford it get another shot at the moment)

• My question is : how do you disclose to a person your condition in a way that they will actually want to give being with you a chance ??

I would never endanger a person sexual health due to my own sexual frustrations like my ex did me … But I would like to start dating & having sex again .

• side note: my ex try to deny giving me both of the infections only to later admit he did know something was wrong with his “manhood” before we had sex - he just don’t know actually what & even after I expressed my concerns of something being wrong with me before I got my results back - he apparently was still making plans to have sex with others that whole week! . ( SO HE A TOTAL PIECE OF SHIT)

Suddenly came back to me but in pieces. Song salt arts of with a melodic piano then a sample of someone saying something around “all the ng’s in the hood know what I’m talkin about” then returns the piano with the beat. Towards the end someone states (and mind you in not 100% on the exactness of it) “Everyone craves warm and closeness. And they’ll have to live in a different world.” Very gravely voice. The piano beat kicks up again for a bit then fades out. I faintly remember there being a channel on YouTube which it was on with an anime photo (go figure right since that doesn’t narrow it down at all) and I believe the photo was a white background with a black art style of a character it believe I check all of AnimeVibes and didn’t find it. Tired searching through every method I could think and care back empty handed.
I should also not the one speaking sounds like a radio host from older generations, not sure if it’s his tone or just a feeling like it was said over an older crt tv

Just wanna vent out my frustration regarding government application process.
Marami na akong nabasa dito about sa pag-aapply for government position and took those tips and advices. Alam ko na naman na kung wala kang backer, less chances of getting hired even none. But you know I still gave it a shot. Anyway, I applied for MedTech sa government hospital and provincial health office. Yes, i applied for 2 positions kasi nga based sa qualification reqs, qualified naman ako so go lang. Submitted my application last March. Received a text message inviting me for a written exam on May 31. Few days after, received another message inviting me for an interview. Of course I was very happy kasi akala ko talaga binasura na yung application ko. So here comes the interview day, schedule from text message was 9am. Pagdating ko, marami na ring ibang applicants na different positions rin. The interview started at around 10:30am na. Nakakadisappoint kasi wala man lang nagsabi na can you wait for another hour kasi we’re still preparing. But if you think about it, they messaged the applicant for the interview 3 days ahead. So dapat at least nakapagprepare na sila. Nakakainis lang na yung applicants grabe yung effort for the interview tapos yung interviewer ganun na lang. It didn’t end there. So the interview started. Since panel interview, edi di ba by batch, they did not set a specific duration per interview. Dapat planned yun lahat para ma accomodate lahat ng applicants. I came to the venue before 9 am. Got called at around 4pm na. And it got worse when our interview started. So after introduction of the panel, bigla ba naman sinabi nung head ng panel na wag namin habaan yung mga sagot namin kasi nga raw hapon na which means uwian na and maghahanda pa sila ng dinner pag uwi nila. What???? During the interview, they weren’t even listening to us. 3 of the interviewers went to the head’s table and they were talking and laughing while the interview was going on. While I was also talking, yung may additional ka pang sasabihin pero the head of the panel cut me off and called the next applicant who was sitting next to me. I only managed to say “I”. Then there was this one applicant with promising experience so they stopped questioning the rest of us and focused on that applicant. So we were like having a lecture there, listening to one person. But yun nga hindi naman magets nung panel pinagsasabi nung applicant kasi she was explaining about her job description sa previous work niya with medical terms and the head of the panel cut her off and said na wait lang kasi nanonosebleed na siya.
Ganyan ba talaga yung interview sa government? Wala man lang isa sa panel of interviewers na from that field. They were very unprofessional. Lastly, the head of the panel asked me why i left my previous job so I answered something about wanting to reflect and focus on my future plans. Then she answered me na after the interview, I’m gonna have to reflect again and they laughed. I was so pissed. Went out of the venue at exactly 5pm. There were still applicants waiting outside to be called.
I’m sure as hell na I’m not getting the position kasi super obvious na nila dun sa isa na manok nila.

This is a bit of a long post. Speaking honestly, I dismissed this game for many years. I thought it was primarily aimed at a younger audience and I turned my nose up at it. Then I decided to try it because my ex got me into it. We played a few games of duos, but my old PC was really poor and it was laggy. It didn't help that I was playing on an American server either, but it was mainly down to my PC being old and unreliable. Then I bought a new gaming PC and I play on max settings now and I've had so much fun! It's proof that you shouldn't judge something before trying it yourself.
I thought I wouldn't be able to completely finish the battle pass tonight and I would be a bit short, but someone on YouTube told me about the XP from the UEFN games and that got me over the line to level 200. I haven't purchased Save the World yet, but I might get it next season at some point. I've had five crown wins which I know isn't much, but I'm still trying to get better and improve. I've had 21 solo wins in total. I mainly stick to Zero Build as I find standard build kind of difficult. I'm playing with a controller, but I guess I need to get used to crafting more. If it wasn't for Zero Build, I don't know if I would have kept playing. I really hope we get a ranked version of solo Zero Build in the near future. Team Rumble was useful for completing quests and I like the chaotic nature of that. Goes quick too.
So for my first ever season, I've really enjoyed it. The neo-Japan theme is super cool. I miss the kinect blades. I understand some players were glitching with them, but they could have been patched rather than being taken out of the game completely. Maybe Epic tried that though. They were my favourite mobility item. I probably won't miss the ODM gear, but I am a big fan of the Eren skin. The only negative I have is the overclocked pulse rifle was crazy overpowered. I get that it's something you have to fight for and whoever ends up with it deserves it, but it did feel quite broken on a one on one.
So yeah, I can't wait to wake up in the morning and get stuck into the new season! I'm keeping my fingers crossed for a One Piece collaboration as I'm a massive fan of that. I want to thank my ex again for getting me into this awesome game. I wish I could have played with her properly on duos. Maybe one day. I don't want to end this post on a sad note lol.
