So my favourite passive aggressive thing to do when tables don’t tip/leave less than 10% is ask if everything was ok with the service and if there’s a way I can improve. I have checked disable full screen optimizations which may have increases fps. I bought a new PC about 3 months ago, everything is new. I mostly use it to play games and some 3D modeling but sometimes when I'm playing games they randomly crash or it just goes to a BSOD and I keep getting all these different ones, so far I've got:
-SYSTEM_SERVICE_EXCEPTION -MEMORY_MANAGEMENT (Haven't got this one in a while) -FAULTY_HARDWARE_CORRUPTED_PAGE (Most common one) -UNEXPECTED_STORE_EXCEPTION (Literally got it like 30mins ago) -SYSTEM_THREAD_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED What failed: Ntfs.sys (I just got this one while writing this post)
Sometimes I get like 3 in a row and sometimes I don't get any in a week, I don't really understand what could be doing them
The MEMORY_MANAGEMENT one I seem to have fixed by disabling background apps. And also I'd like to note that there was a time when games were using CPU instead of GPU, I fixed that by going to Settings > Display > Graphics Settings and then selecting NVIDIA GeForce Experience and setting it to High Performance
Some things to note: Graphics Card Drivers are up to date, I already did a fresh install of the OS, and it fixed problems for a while, but they came back. All the drive's health seems to be in good condition. I checked if the RAM had any problems (I've checked with Memtest86+ and with some CMD commands I found in a Windows website post) I'm also having some problems with the front USB ports, they don't recognize Pendrives and when I move with my headphones sometimes it just glitches out, idk if that has something to do, but this didn't happen before, it started happening like a week ago.

For example Cataclysm - the duration in the patchnotes is increased from 8 to 10 seconds and then you can spec for another 2 seconds.

I've read and looked at the specs so I know everything good about it but what maybe haven't I read?
Basically looking for a reason not to get it so I can get a A54 for now instead and save a few hundred bucks. I am someone who drops their phone. Maybe 3 times in 10 years but it happens and the phone always crops up with issues soon after. It's because I do deliveries with it so I'm constantly walking with it in my hand planning my next delivery. I think part of it is the case, it was a smooth plastic so I need a more rigid case instead but I think even so I'll drop it, it's just unavoidable. Dizziness, rain, uneven driveways/sidewalks, potholes, etc.

Tip: Crowd control is very powerful. With how many enemies get sent per wave on scav war or night 10, perks like arbiter or blitzer can rack up kills that go off the screen with good timing. Items like firebomb can completely nullify scav war, its powerful dot covers a large area and staggers scavs every tick, combined with remote bombs or impacts you can destroy most of a wave, leaving only fast (specs), tanky (sledgers), and super slow (stuck scavs or aws). Saving a couple explosives along with a perk that can group scavs like crosslink can clear the densest waves.
Trick: using matches on apostle will fully heal you after summoning, shrapnel device can lower damage on melee scavs which dave (and apostle in general) is weak at

Hello all!
You'll have to forgive my boring "tech-help" question but I am really at a loss here. Recently, Ableton Live 11 has, for lack of better words, completely broken on my computer. I will preface this by saying that I have changed NOTHING in either Ableton or my computer settings to cause this.
Here's what's happening. Every single time I open Ableton Live 11 it freezes and crashes. It does this regardless of whether it is a new blank live set or an old set I had created previously (and, yes, I have attempted opening several different sets so I know it is not a single corrupt file.
When I open the set my computer begins behaving like I'm operating on a computer with 256MB of RAM. My CPU shoots through the roof and Ableton is "Not Responding" within seconds of opening it.
My computer is a custom build with 32GB of RAM and all of the programs are operating off of a SSD so this should not be happening as the machine has more than enough power to operate heavy live sets.
When this initially began happening the first thing I did was to upgrade to the latest version of Live (11.3.2) to see if that would resolve the problem. It did not resolve the problem.
Equally interesting I also have Ableton Live 9 Standard installed on this PC and when I run this the PC operates perfectly normally. In addition to this, all of my other software programs on this PC are operating just fine as well. (Some heavy hitters too like Davinci Resolve)
I know the obvious solution is to contact support, but unless I am missing something... Does Ableton no longer have ANY tech support?? When I go to this page and click "Submit your technical support request" it just redirects away from the "Submit a Request" page so there is no option to submit a request! Unbelievable...
I'll end this by saying I am a professional musician by trade and I used Ableton Live every single day to make my living so I have to get this fixed ASAP. I have been getting by on Live 9 standard for the time being, but this isn't going to cut it for long.

With every new patch Riot introduces to balance out champions and items there are some unforeseen issues that creep up and cause disruption during gameplay. We have noticed that these issues which eventually get fixed clutter up the subreddit immediately following the patch.
We want to avoid this by having a single Megathread which will be posted after every patch so that you guys can report the various issues in one place. This allows Riot to easily keep track of the bugs by providing a central hub and also allows other users to confirm that they might have encountered.

Prerequisites to be noted before reporting a bug

1. A bug will ideally be accompanied with a screenshot or a video. This provides credibility to your report.

Following Varland's dominant showing against a potent Astros offense, arguably even more impressive given the immediate offensive explosion from Houston as soon as he was lifted, everyone is rightly asking "what should I make of Varland?"
I'm not exactly an authority, nor do I get paid to do this, but I have made some pretty strong, at times unpopular, remarks about Varland in the past (like saying two weeks ago that I thought the numbers favored Varland over Bibee). Given the interest in Varland and that the post I did on Liberatore went pretty well, both in terms of the reception here and how my "he's Logan Allen with a worse fastball and no strikeout upside" take aged, I thought I would make another.

Metrics

Given that we are still relatively early in the year, especially when evaluating some of these rookies, we have to be wary of sample size for just about anything we look at. Thankfully, we have already passed the fabled 400 pitch threshold for Pitching+, which is both empirically determined in terms of predictive power but still feels very arbitrary in terms of usefulness of the model, for Varland before this start.
With that in mind, I am going to focus more than some might like on Pitching+ because it has been the crux of my advocacy for Varland so far this year, given its power in small samples. Rather than tweak my argument now in light of his recent success, I'll try to be true what I've said all along and use Pitching+ as a good predictor of rest-of-season ERA.

Class Rank

As anyone still reading this post knows, the rookie pitching class this year has been phenomenal, with the Millers, Bradley, Bibee, and more putting on a show. Eury and the yet-to-be-called-up Gavin Williams are also guys who figure to line up as aces of the future.
Among such a prominent class, it's easy to miss someone who has been as unassumingly good as Louie Varland. By Stuff+, he's phenomenally average: 100. Among rookie starters with at least 10 innings, he ranks 15 out of 37, smack between the likes of Ryne Nelson (101), Brandon Pfaadt (101), Kodai Senga (99), and Hayden Wesneski (98). Try to contain your excitement at such illustrious company.
Similarly, he's 12 of 37 among rookies by ERA at 4.24. His WHIP comes in 9th at 1.24. Again, why do we even care about this "just a guy"-level starter? We start to see why we might on a metric like K-BB%, where he's 4th behind Taj, Bryce Miller, and Brown, which brings us to one of his big strengths.

Location, Location, Location+

Varland makes up for his exactly average Stuff+ with a really impressive Location+ numbers. Among the 26 rookie starters with at least 20 innings, to cut out a few low sample size data points, Varland's 106 Location+ ranks 2nd behind only Dylan Dodd, who barely qualifies at 20.1 IP and pairs his small sample 108 Location+ with an abysmal 79 Stuff+.
Varland's 106 Location+ and 100 Stuff+ are good for a 105 Pitching+, which puts him behind only Taj Bradley (106) and Bryce Miller (110) among that group of rookies. (Note: Bobby Miller has shown early returns on Pitching+ similar to Bryce, so it's not unlikely that he'll wind up ahead of Varland once we have enough sample to trust his numbers.)
Now, for context, other popular rookie pitchers in this group that rank lower than Varland on this list: J.P. France (105 Pitching+, small sample size caveat), Hunter Brown (104 Pitching+), Ryne Nelson (102), Bibee (102), Allen (101), where these all show their Pitching+ numbers. It is worth keeping in mind the standard deviation of the Pitching+ distribution at the player level, which is just shy of 5, when looking at these numbers. I wouldn't argue that a gap of 3 points between Varland and Bibee mean that Varland is an obviously better pitcher, but I think that it's at least fair to put them in the same tier based on their comparable Pitching+, K-BB% (18.9% for Varland, 18.4% for Bibee), and Stuff+ (100 Varland vs. 101 Bibee).

Comparison to Bibee

Diving into their numbers, Varland and Bibee look surprisingly similar, more so than I thought when sitting down to write this.
They:

• are 4 pitch RHP's with a 95 MPH fastballs and 84 MPH changeups (slightly less velo separation for Varland)
• have ~100 Stuff+ overall (101 Bibee, 100 Varland)
• have comparable scouting grades (60/55/50/50 + 55 command for Varland, 55/60/45/45 + 55 command for Bibee)
• have comparable Stuff+ by pitch (105/105 fastball, 111/107 slider favoring Varland, 93/86 changeup favoring Varland, plus a 90 Stuff+ cutter for Varland compared to an 84 Stuff+ curve for Bibee)
• have similar SIERAs (3.80 Varland, 3.99 Bibee) and K-BB% (18.9 Varland, 18.4 Bibee)

The biggest differences that jump out are the cutter for Varland vs. curve for Bibee and then Location+ (106 for Varland, 98 for Bibee), but beyond that, they look pretty damn similar, with the sum total of some of these slight differences adding up to Varland's slightly better Pitching+ at 105 compared to 102.

TL;DR

Varland is a promising rookie who Pitching+ has liked all year and who, despite getting less attention, might even compare out favorably against Tanner Bibee. I am high on Varland and see him as a legitimately promising rookie starter with high upside, and while I've potentially naively favored him over Bibee because of Pitching+ and K-BB/9 alone so far this year, a deeper dive into the numbers seems to suggest that the Bibee comp is reasonable and may even favor Varland.
Look to nab Varland in any redraft league where you like Bibee, which should probably be everywhere.

I’m going to try my best to explain what I've figured out so far in the best way that I can. I live in an exceedingly small and rural town about an hour away from West Wendover, NV and I work for the state transportation department doing road flagging mainly. Today I woke up for this work week in a much more spry mood than I usually do. I work 12 hour shifts, and due to financial struggles I took on a part-time job clocking in some hours stocking shelves at a local department store as well on thursdays and fridays. Though I quit because it was literally making me miserable physically and mentally to do so. My face looks like it's been through the wringer as well if you got a close up of me. I'm about 39 now. A tad-ish overweight (beer gut) and I don't usually take the time to shave. And my hairline has essentially been decimated by wearing hard hats slammed on my head for the last 12 years.
And this morning, you know, I didn't look that different. I really didn't. I'm not trying to oversell what I sensed was different about me. But the point I'm trying to make is that I sensed it. I sensed that something was off, something was different than it had been before. I went into work and I realized something that I had not realized in the 12 years I had worked for the state. Everyone at my office has a designated place to hang their hard hat and safety vest, except for me. Everyone there has a locker, except for me. Everyone has direct deposit set up for their pay check except for me. Today was payday for me after all, I knew it was, I had been expecting to see something in my bank account today, but it wasn't there. Actually if you'll let me go off on a tangent for a bit, I want to point out that I had to set up a password for my bank's phone app today in order to find that information out. I've had the same app on the phones I've owned since smart phones were widely adopted and I've banked online with the same company since Bush was still serving his second term.
And yet, the app on my phone today was acting as if I had never set up a password once during my entire time with this bank in question and demanded that I set up one now. Then when I discovered that my pay check had not come in at all, I discovered something else that's weird about my checking account now. The account's statement history is gone. Wiped clean, don't get me wrong, all the money that is supposed to be there is there. It's just that, all the history on the account that I know for a fact should be there isn't. The only activity present on the account states that it was opened about two weeks ago and that the money that's in there now was placed in there in a lump sum on wednesday (I am writing this particular post on friday for reference). It's bizarre. Freakish even. I have had this account like I said for nearly two decades. I asked my supervisor about the paycheck discrepancy. And he just sort of blew it off as a clerical error and told me to talk to payroll. And they said something was off about my paperwork. I've never had a direct deposit set up with them according to their records. Ever. And you know what? I can't prove that I did anymore now can I?
They said they would set one up for me and get the check sent out post haste, but I was still pretty creeped out by what was going on. I still wanted answers for some of the stuff I was noticing. I asked my supervisor later, demanded to know really, why I didn't have my own designated place on the hat/vest rack with my own label like everyone else? Why didn't I have a locker? He just stared blankly at me for a second and said "You know... I sorta thought you always did but now that you've brought it up... I'm not sure. I guess you've just never made a problem about it and so, I never did anything about it. I guess it's just one of those things that slipped through the cracks for us." Right. I suppose so.
It still doesn't make any sense to me. When I went home, I went and bothered my next door neighbor for a bit to ask him and his wife if anything seemed 'different' about me. He said that... well, he said that nothing seemed different about me but something certainly felt different about me. And more strangely than that, he and his wife felt the same way about themselves. They're both overworked restaurant workers suffering from the same effects a grueling work schedule can have on you. But today was the same story for them. They both felt great and "looked" great just like I did, although in reality they looked exactly the same as they had the day before when they fell asleep.
And he and her had the same issue with their paychecks today too. And their bank accounts. Oh and here's another kicker. His wife went looking around their side and backyards today. All their trees, while seemingly the same as they were the day before, they look as if they and their roots have been recently planted in the dirt they occupy. Like as though some heavy construction claw or scoop dug the patch of ground in their backyard out and planted a 50 year old tree there from somewhere else. Pretty much all the dirt around the perimeter of the house and the brick walls that separate each resident's property looked disturbed too. And they went with me, carrying flashlights, to check the dirt on my property as well. And yeah... it was the same situation.
When I asked where she got the idea to check the dirt on their property, she said she saw some other neighbors on our street seemingly doing the exact same thing. Another thing - our cars. I've owned a Pontiac just before they went out of business and they've owned a Ford Escape and a Dodge Charger for less than five years or there about. But, none of our vehicles have any maintenance records. I usually keep mine in my glove box but, it's not there. They said theirs are gone as well and don't know where they would be. Actually, I noticed today commuting to work that for a used beaten up Pontiac the thing sure drove, sounded like, and even looked like it was purchased fresh off the lot this week as though GM had never put the brand out to pasture.
It's strange. It only seems to be happening to our street right now, whatever 'this' is. Our little cul-de-sac is an island in an open land of sagebrush jutting out from the other few gaggles of streets in our town. It was supposed to have been a part of a larger, more robust development prior to 2008 however the global recession halted construction to what was already built and no further. And for whatever reason, it's like we're being targeted with this weirdness seemingly because our houses were the only ones that got to be built. I already sort of felt singled out living here since there are no streets or houses to our west, north, or east. But this... I don't really know what to think right now, I'm debating if I should even post this or not. I'm going to simply save this as a draft and then come back to it on monday. We'll see if I'm just going insane today or for multiple days. Wish me luck.
UPDATE: Alright so I got home around 10 tonight, or two hours ago to be exact. I would have discarded the thought if I didn't carefully read what I wrote on friday. It's monday now and uhhh... there's a street behind us to our east now. And I thought nothing of it when I saw it this morning while getting in my car. Nothing of it! It's always been there. Wasn't it? Wasn't it??? It had to be. I recalled vividly today when I saw it for the first (?) time about how exposed I would've felt living here if that street wasn't there. And then I read what I wrote on friday and there it was. The exact feeling I knew I would have felt if that were indeed the case only it was the case to myself on friday. I knocked on my neighbor's door again after reading that, but they're not answering. I know they're there, the lights are on and I saw some quick movements in their window blinds. I'm guessing they're as scared as I am.
As I walked back to my house I went into my side yard to round up a loose hose and then headed towards the back where the patio was. That's where I saw old Mr. Reggie, and waved at him. He was in his backyard on his patio, on his property that he's owned for the same amount of time that I've owned mine. And then I realized, smiling at him, I've known him for a very long time even though me from friday made it very clear no street his property currently sits on existed until today. And you know what? He's an old man, with grey hair, but from far away I'm not so sure. He looks pretty brand new when I think about it. When I really think about it. I'm not going to go to work tomorrow, and I'm not going to fall asleep for a while. You never know what will spring up overnight while you're dozing off or away.
I guess you could call our two little streets a boomtown, in that light.
