Oi mates. A couple of weeks ago I bought me some KayZeds. And I like 'em, they're real good. I'm glad to plug them in me phone and listen to some Scarlet Fire. But I'm not too keen on plugging them in my laptop's jack.
I bet some of you already know the problem. The noise of static. Specifically in the right bud, for some reason. But it's quiet enough to be tolerable when I turn on my music, movies, games, etc. But it gets worse.
When I touch the bud (KZ ZEX, the one with a metal shell) it's like when you touch a plug of some speakers when they're on, but not plugged in, and it's picking on your bioelectricty. I hope you know what I'm talking about. When I touch the bud's shell, I literally can feel electricty with my fingers. And I stick these things in my ears.
Sometimes static becomes actually loud and it gets to the point where that right earbud zaps my ear. Literally. I'm being electricuted. Thank goodness there's not enough power to hurt me.
And I even know the source of these problems. It happens when my laptop is on charge, which occurs pretty often since the battree in it is getting tired (after just a bit over two years of using it, I guess it says something about me or the quality of my computer).
So, I'm getting to my main point: Anyone knows some cheap but good dongle I can use for my laptop? Like, not some kinda cool DAC like FiiO's BTRs, because that a bit over my league. Just a simple dongle.

Disclaimer:

1. While there were plenty of cool things to praise, this is a useful CRITIQUE thread, so I'll start it as such.
2. Every single CA trailer has had "sus" things that made it into the game despite assurances by diehard fans that its "just a preview build bro dont worry about it bro"

Hopefully this thread can be something that CA can actually use and not immediately ignore due to overwhelming negativity and toxicity.
I'll start
Battle Physics critique and suggestions:

1. Soldiers Crowd-Crush and clip inside each other constantly, turning melee combat into a blobby awful mess.
   1. How to Fix: This isn't inherently a matched combat issue - rather CA needs to increase the collision bubble so soldiers give each other more space when milling about and not stabbing a foe. I've made mods that fix this before, its very easy.
   2. CA should Take a look at Divide Et Impera for Rome 2 for proof of non-blobby matched combat. Or also, Warhammer; its possibly the only modern total war that does this properly; even when fighting intensely, models give each other enough space to not blob and clip inside each other.
   3. At all costs please avoid the Troy problem where any unit not in Hold stance instantly becomes a cronenberg abomination of limbs and flesh.
   4. Un-armoured soldiers getting pin-cusioned by arrows and being fine: drastically increase arrow lethality, drastically decrease accuracy and rate of fire. Un-blocked arrows really should just kill an unarmoured model on hit. If a naked trooper eats an arrow he should go down, simply bad for immersion otherwise.

Soldier "Robotic-ness" critique and suggestions:

1. Units are too synchronised and robotic in how they move around and their idle animations etc. They look like the Tomb King Skellingtons from warhammer III, but like, with flesh.
   1. How to Fix: IMO CA should add a randomised 0-2 second delay for each model responding to orders given to its unit. This keeps them snappy for gameplay purposes, but fixes the robotic perfection issue.
   2. Give soldiers more idle animations and have them play way more frequently.
   3. Make soldiers dirtier. They look too clean. I'm not saying people never bathed back then, but for aesthetics the soldiers simply look way too clean and shiny.

Anyway that's basically it for me. Game looks decent, 100 Australian dollarydoos is fuuuuckin expensive though for a game with only 3 factions and 9 subfactions, so we'll see, I hope this game doesn't crash and burn though.

Hi, I'm playing csgo on a Microsoft Surface laptop 3 and it was fine until I got the new 31.0.101.2121 update for the Intel Iris Plus Graphics that is in the laptop which got my game to juste freeze completely, but audio still works. I managed to change the game from fullscreen to windowed and windowed fullscreen, and it works but is either really uncomfortable or really low fps because of the high quality of the windowed fullscreen. I tried to go back to the older version (31.0.101.2115) but the problem is still there. I tried to search for others driver but I cannot find any list of the updates for this driver. Can someone help me?

I recently bought 4 fans for my pc (one coolermaster mf140 gen 2 rgb 3pin and three coolermaster mf200r addressable rgb fan 5v/3-pin). I have an asrock fatal1ty 990fx professional motherboard. All I really want is for these fans to light red. Is this possible with my motherboard, and if yes, could you provide links to what I need? Thank you.

Where are we all going to sleep? If FarReach left, then it's just us, and we don't know this Starbase and we don't have any money! This was a terrible idea, what the hell am I doing?
You are doing what you need to do.
Brave talk from a bunch of atomic scale machines. You don't need to worry about where you're going to sleep tonight.
We will think of something.
Wait. You don't know either? What the hell? You Nanites are the ones convincing me to 'act like an Empress' and all, and now FarReach left, Captain Q'ari was declared unfit and almost everyone is afraid of me!
We will admit that we are... slightly... out of our depth. All of our collected memories come from Empresses who were well established in their position, with hundreds of people in their retinue. We are not familiar when the Empress has... three people who are going along with her and no home.
Then why did you have me do all that stuff?
We figured it would all work out.
At this point, I get too frustrated to argue with the Nanites inside my body. I look around for a place to sit, and come across a cafe. Finding an empty table, I sit heavily. Omar and the others joins me.
I look around at everyone, "Okay, so time for a sitrep."
Omar begins. "We're on a foreign Starbase,"
"As Their rulers, the Builders" Ava adds.
"But most of us don't have any Builder powers yet" Um'reli chimes in.
Ava raises a finger "That will come later as the Nanites grow and come online."
Omar looks out at the restaurant "We don't have any money and any place to stay."
We all look out into the passing crowd, ignored. This sucks. I didn't expect everyone to be frightened and leave. At least I have some friends here now.
Um'reli looks over at me with a strange expression. "Um, Melody?"
I look away from the crowds of people and face her. "What's up?"
"Melody. You have a Voice that can make people do whatever you tell them to do. Just..." She shrugs "Tell them to put us up in the fanciest Hotel this place has!"
Ava's face brightens. "Why are we worrying about money Melody? Just make people give us stuff."
Now they're thinking like Builders.
Ugh, really? Just go around and yell at people until I get what I want?
Empresses since the beginning of time have done as much.
As we are sitting there discussing options, an Azurian, probably an employee, walks up. "So, are you going to order something, or just take up a seat that a paying customer would use?"
"Oh, Sorry." and I start to get up when Ava and Um'reli look at me.
"Right, right. Um. B̶̭͝r̶͚͑ȉ̴͇ń̷̝g̸̼̑ us some menus please."
The Azurian reaches into a pocket on their apron and hands over four menus, turns and walks away quickly.
Ava looks down and grins. "I can read it!, Um'reli, Omar, can you read it yet?"
Omar and Um'reli look down as well. Omar squints at it. "Kind of? It's like it's...burry, but I can get the idea of what they're offering."
Um'reli moves the menu back and fort like she's trying to get it in focus as well. "Yeah, it's not all the way there, but it's definitely not just gibberish anymore."
Ava's face falls. "Too bad I don't know what any of it is. Just because I can read 'stir-fried laut over Grebian grains' doesn't mean I know what it is, or if it's good."
This time it's my turn to be sanguine. "I've had at least one meal and a snack here, and I haven't had anything bad yet. I'm sure it's all good. Just pick whichever one has a cool sounding name."
Everyone takes a moment to study the menus while I look around more. On the one hand, It's nice that we can just sit here and be ignored. On the other though, I don't want to be ignored! It turns out I really really like being worshipped. That worries me a little bit.
Oh well, survival first, worship second. I guess I'll have to just... tell people to take care of us for a little while. I don't really like that idea though... Ugh, I was hoping people would love me for me not because I told them to love me.
Ava loves you.
Are you sure? It feels like she loves the power I have.

Apparently my face is so shocked that Omar looks over. "Uh, Melody are you all right?"
"Oh sorry, yes I'm fine. Um, do anyone else's Nanites... talk to them?"
The blank stares give me all the answers I need.
"Okay so maybe it's an Empress thing or just because I've had them longer, but my Nanites... talk to me. They give me advice, tell me about things about the Starbase and about what previous Empresses did. That kind of stuff?"
"Is it... good advice?" Um'reli is asking very carefully.
"Ehhhh, sometimes?
Hey! All of our advice will get you to where you need to be.
Oh, so I need to be getting ready to order some poor Aviens to give us all dinner for free, then going to find a hotel and ordering them to give us a couple rooms for free?
If it's in the name of assuming your role as Empress, then yes.
I'm not so sure.
The Aviens server walks up. "Have you selected what you would like?"
T̶̍ͅḧ̷͎͓́͂i̸̧̋͜ş̸̡̀ ̶̥̃̆m̷̛̤̦̊ě̶̤â̵̦̚l̵̪͊ ̶̛̫̙i̴̳̊s̷̘͂ ̵͈͖̈́ḟ̷̪̔ͅr̴͓̀é̴͇͝ȩ̵͛̓.̶̗̊̋ͅ I say to them. They nod and take a pencil out. "What will it be then?"
After our order has been placed, we're left alone again. While we wait, I notice that two Aviens are sitting near us, watching us while they eat. One of them finally makes a gesture at the other, and they indicate no, but the first stands up anyway and approaches us.
"Uh, pardon my interruption" They say kindly "But are you by any chance that person who says they are the new Empress?"
I look up at them. They seem to be legitimately curious, I can't detect any sarcasm or malice in their body language. "Yes. I am the Empress Melody."
At confirmation, they relax visibly. "Oh wonderful Empress. I'm so pleased to see you out among us. We were at your speech earlier this afternoon, and were so excited."
Oooh, this is nice, I love a good compliment.
"I'm so glad that you came" I answer warmly. "It makes me feel good when I see residents who are happy to see me."
They nod vigorously. "Yes, I can't wait until you eject those cursed Mariens out into space and return Reach of the Might of Vzzx to Aviens hands like it was meant to be."
Omar, Ava, Um'reli and myself blink.
"Oh uh, really?" I say, weakly.
"Yes. It's far past time they get what's coming to them." And with that, they return back to their seats, and with a little wave, finish their meal.
Omar, Ava and Um'reli look at me. "Oh no, no no, you can't pin this on me, I didn't say anything!"
"Okay, but you're not actually going to do that are you? Space all the Mariens?" Omar glances back at them then at me.
"Of course not! I would never!" Why would he even think that I'd do that.
You don't have to space them all. If you did a few though, it certainly would make people realize you're someone that shouldn't be underestimated.
No. No. I am not going to space anyone!
Before this line of conversation goes any furthers, the Azurian arrives with our food. After they place the steaming plates down, they give me a little ticket and walk off. Turning the ticket over I see that it's the bill. Normally, this meal would cost... oh my... sixty Skys? Is that a lot? But on the bottom is says the amount due is 0 and that the meal is marked complimentary. Whew. At least it doesn't seem like anything bad happened as a result of that. With everyone else already eating, I get started.
Like I said before, I haven't had a bad meal here, and this is no exception. All of the food was amazing. Everyone agreed too. I'll have to see if I can remember where this place is, I want to come back - and pay them next time.
Mindful that I used the Voice to order them to give us dinner, we don't dawdle. After we eat we get up and begin to wander the promenade. I never really went further than the docks and the administration offices so I don't know what else is there. We take in the sights for a little while and then Omar looks at me again.
"So Melody, where are we staying tonight?"
"I have no idea Omar, have you seen anything that looks like a hotel?"
He shakes his head. "No, but I wouldn't know what I'm looking for."
Me neither. Who would though? "Wait, I wonder if the people who work in the Administrative offices might know. They would have to host dignitaries wouldn't they?"
"Yeah! Let's go rough them up again!" Ava is cheering. I look over at her with a stony face and she pouts.
"Uh Melody, you said that the Gate has been closed 'for three generations.' We're the first visitors in a long time if they live for anywhere close to as long as us." Um'reli, with the splash of cold water again.
We continue to walk around for a while, Ava spies a place that's selling clothes and drags us all there. "Look at this fabric! It shimmers, and is so soft" She's rubbing it against her cheek. "Normally, if you have something that shimmers like that, it's rough and scratchy. I need this. Melody, buy it for me please."
"Buy it Ava? I don't have any money."
She waves her hand dismissively. "Use your Voice to make them give it to me."
"Ava, I feel bad enough that I got us dinner for free. I'm not about to make them give you clothes. I'm trying to be a good Empress, not some kind of tyrant."
Ava pouts and puts the shirt back. "Hmph, you're no fun. What is even the point of a power like that if you're not going to use it."
She's right you know.
You always take her side.
Because she's got the right idea.
I can't stand it anymore. "I'm going to go ask the Administrators. At least the they might know where a Hotel is. I guess I could use the Voice to just ask random people, but I'm trying to not just make everyone do stuff for us if I can avoid it."
Ava looks over. "Are they going to be okay with seeing us? You did kind of threaten them and make them show you where the Throne was."
I flick my hand out dismissing the comment. "It'll be fine. Probably."
We work our way to the Administration offices. The barricade is still up, but it's not manned anymore. Huh. I wonder if they figured since we had our confrontation now that everything would be over with. I hope the Administrators aren't still mad-
I never got to finish that thought, because as I pushed open the door and walked in, someone behind a barricade made up of chairs and tables from the offices shot at me.

My son had a fever a few days ago for about 24 hours. Armpit temperature was max 38C. He was tired for a day but otherwise fine. His older sister had already been sick with cold symptoms (no fever) for a few days. His dad also came down with similar symptoms as sister (clogged nose, headache, wet cough). Now I (mom) also have the cold symptoms.
My son hasn’t gotten the cold nearly as bad as us, maybe a slight runny nose. However he has developed a rash that to me looks like chicken pox. First we saw a few dots maybe two days after the fever left. Then more came. He says they don’t itch. They’re a lot on one of his arms, a few on his other arm, a bit on his back and I think a few appearing on his face. Nothing so far on the legs. He says they do NOT itch. Although I have seen him scratching once or twice. He’s a picker though and some are scabby so maybe that’s what he’s a doing.
He has had two doses of the varicella vaccination. Last one was Feb 2021.
There are various other things im considering this could be as well… we have been traveling and are housesitting right now. No signs of bedbugs but im paranoid it could be that. Also we are in Crete where they have biting midges. One of the homeowners is extremely bothered by them so they have plug in repellents they said we could use. We initially turned them off but then I could feel myself getting bitten and we plugged it in again. I haven’t felt bites since and never got a mark myself.
Or is this just a normal rash kids get after a viral infection? Covid perhaps?

Oris Introduces A Very, Very Purple Hölstein Edition 2023 Aquis, The First Without A Date
For the fourth year in a row, Oris has announced its 2023 Hölstein Edition. Every year on June 1, Oris releases a 250-piece limited edition to celebrate the registration of its company in its hometown of Hölstein, Switzerland, on June 1, 1904. And this year they have for the first time used their Aquis diver for the special edition. And boy, is it special. First of all, it’s the first Aquis with no date. But, more importantly, it has the purpliest purple dial you have ever seen.
Other than the purple dial and lack of a date window, it’s an Aquis. 41.5mm wide, steel case, gray ceramic bezel insert and 300 meter water resistance. Introducing the watch, the co-CEO of Oris said in an interview that the purple as a dial color and a no-date Aquis were options fans have been asking for from Oris. I get that fans were asking for a no-date option. But purple? So many people explicitly asked for a purple dial? While I find that hard to believe, I won’t complain - it looks amazing.
Inside the watch is Oris’ caliber 400 with a five day power reserve, for which Oris promises 10-year service intervals and provides a 10-year warranty. On the caseback, there's Oris Bear diving in his scuba gear.
The watch will be limited to 250 pieces, available on Oris' website from June 1 for CHF 4,000 (~$4,400), a slight premium over the standard Oris Aquis Date Caliber 400. It’s a very nice shade of purple and it’s cool to see Oris have a bit of fun with watches, introducing this after the controversial Kermit Pro Pilot.

Hamilton Gives Their Groovy 70s Inspired Pan Europ Automatic The Ultimate 70s Color - Beige
Let’s say it again, all together - the 70s were the coolest era of watches. I know you don’t agree. I still think they were. And the good people over at the Swatch Group agree with me. That’s why in 2011 they revived the 1971 Pan Europ Chronomatic, which was one of the first Swiss-made Hamilton watches, equipped with the now legendary Calibre 11. The success of that model led Hamilton to add a simplified non-chronograph version in 2014, a day-date Pan Europ Automatic. And now they are putting out two new versions of that watch, both in very 70s colorways - a light green and a beige sunray.
The cushion-shaped steel case is 42mm wide and has a a polished unidirectional rotating bezel with a burgundy aluminium insert, with numerals indicating 5-minute increments, and marked with one-minute differences for the first quarter-hour. Despite the rotating bezel, this is not a diver, as it only has a 50m water resistance.
Other than the new colors, the dial remains the same, with two cutouts at 3 o’clock for the day and date indicators. The rectangular, sloped hour indices (with middle Super-LumiNova stripes) as well bulged-in the inner bezel ring with the minute track are all very 70s. The nickeled hour and minute hands are also coated with Super-LumiNova, and the second hand is lacquered to match the bezel colour and the markings on the dial.
Inside is the H30 movement, based on the ETA C07 series (Powermatic 80) calibre, an evolution of ETA’s 2824-2 calibre. You can get the watches on a green or beige soft touch leather racing-style strap, closed with a pin buckle, with an additional brown or burgundy NATO textile strap, depending on the dial colour.
The watches are now available as non-limited editions, and the price is EUR 1,195.

IWC Slips White Dial Into The Familiar Mark XX To Celebrate 75 Years Of The Mark Series
If you want an IWC pilot’s watch you will go to their boutique, admire the craftsmanship and impressiveness of the Big Pilot, and you will then buy a Mark series watch, because you are likely not built like Arnold Schwarzenegger and can’t pull off a car wheel on your wrist. Ever since 1993, when IWC launched the Mark XII as a replica of the Mark 11 made for the British Royal Air Force, the Mark series has been seen as the entry-level model in the Pilot’s Watch series, and now IWS is releasing an update to last year’s Mark XX with two new silver-white editions.
If the Pilot’s Watch series of IWC often brings to mind the oversized, almost provocative Big Pilot model (and we mean the real one, not the smaller, simpler 43mm version), there’s another watch that, even though more discreet, might be of even greater importance… The Mark series. First introduced as a watch for the pilots of the British Royal Air Force, under codename Mark 11, it has later become one of the most classic series of the brand, with the launch of the Mark XII in 1993, as a replica now also intended to civilian amateurs. Now known as the entry-level model in the Pilot’s Watch series, this no-nonsense watch entered its Mark XX version last year, and IWC now releases two new silvery-white editions.
The Mark XX measures 40mm wide, 10.8mm thick, 49.2mm long and has a screw down crown giving it a water resistance of 100m. Most of the steel case is brushed for a rugged tool-watch look, with a couple of polished accents. As for the dial, no surprises. It’s all very much Mark series, with a clean layout, highly legible markers and tracks and a time-and-date display. The Mark XX brought some minor evolutions, such as slightly redefined numerals and indices improving time reading and contrast. The two new references get silver-plated dials, blackened hands and black tracks – except for the indices marking the quarters, which are white and luminous.
Inside, the Mark XX has the biggest improvement over the predecessor. Instead of the past ETA and Sellita movements, the XX gets the calibre 32111, a movement made by ValFleurier and also used in the recently launched Ingenieur.
When the brand says they are releasing two new references with white dials, they mean that the only difference is what kind of strap you get them on. You can have it on a black leather strap (IW328207) or a 5-link stainless steel bracelet (IW328208).
The new IWC Pilot’s Watch Mark XX White Dial is available now through all priced at EUR 5,700 (incl. taxes) on leather, and EUR 6,800 (incl. taxes) on steel bracelet.

Arken Unveils Their Second Act With The Dual-Time Equipped Alterum
Arken is a U.K.-based microbrand that released its first watch last year. It was a titanium diver called the Instrumentum. It came just in time for summer and as a integrated bracelet sports watch, at the height of the integrated bracelet sports watch craze, it sold out instantly. It’s not that weird that it sold out so fast, considering it had a titanium case, a depth rating of 300 meters and a shockingly low pre-order price of just $500. Here they are, back this year with their second watch and are jumping on another trend bandwagon - the GMT - with their titanium dual-time travel watch called the Alterum.
The Alterum carries over a bunch of the Instrumentum, but this is a much more elegant watch that looks way more expensive than it’s price point. Gone is the aggressive bezel of the diver, replaced by a fixed brushed bezel without any markings. Kind of weird for a GMT… It’s measures 40mm in width, 46mm lug to lug and 13mm in case thickness, but since the bezel is 38mm wide it looks much smaller than it actually is.
Also carried over is the unique handset (although smaller and less aggressive) and distinct hour marker layout intertwined by its own solid track line. Accompanying the handset is a colored lollipop GMT hand and a pair of AM/PM indicators that correspond to each hour hand. The date is at six o’clock and is managed by the screwdown pusher located at four. The main highlight of the Alterum’s dial is its frosted texture, one of which comes in an anthracite gray with an orange GMT hand and another with a black dial and a blue GMT hand. You are completely free to call me crazy, but this watch is giving me Vacheron Overseas "Everest" Dual Time vibes with the orange hand, textured dial, pusher at 4 and even the bracelet.
Inside is a modified Miyota 9015 that the brand calls the ARK-9015DT. And it’s not a slight modification. It has an additional additional 12-hour hand and two AM/PM indicators that work in tandem with each hour hand, which helps a lot since the bezel does not have any markings. The movement also has some peculiarities you won’t see in others. Rotating the hands clockwise moves the entire handset, including the GMT hand, as well as both AM/PM indicator discs. However, moving the handset in the opposite direction will lock the GMT hand and its corresponding AM/PM indicator (left of the dial) allowing you to set the time difference between your local and home times. With the time difference adjusted, you can now adjust the hands moving forward to the correct local time. Since it’s such a weird movement, it can’t exactly be called a caller or a flyer GMT movement, but rather a combination of both.
Arken is offering the Alterum publically via a pre-order with either a grey or a black dial, and both will come on a quick-release nylon strap for $700 on release day (July 1, 2023) or $745 thereafter. Additionally, the brand will offer other versions of the Alterum via a private members-only platform that has been established for those that bought the Instrumentum last year. These include a black dial version with a black cerakoted case and a version with a white dial. While not specifically limited, each of the given colorways will be produced in runs of 200 units, and deliveries are expected to start no earlier than January 2024.

Isotope Teams Up With Watch Customizer Seconde/Seconde/ For Limited Edition Hydrium Diver, A Memento Mori Watch Without A Skull
Seconde/Seconde/ is a brand name for Romaric André, a former financial auditor who has in recent year profiled himself as one of the leading vintage watch customizers, known especially for replacing hands with those of his own design. He has worked with a whole slew of brands, including Vulcain, Nivada Grenchen, Louis Erard, Bamford and H. Moser & Cie, creating watches that take the original and update it with fun. His latest collaboration is with the UK based Isotope, a brand known for their strong visual design and accessible prices and together they created a Seconde/Seconde/ version of the Isotope Hydrium dive watch.
The Hydrium comes in a 40mm stainless steel case with a unidirectional bezel, screw down crown, sapphire crystal and 300m water resistance. The dial is a matte black with a raised lacrima in the center of the dial and a railroad-style minute track printed along the periphery in white with small bright green blocks to denote the hour markers. At the top of the dial is Isotope’s original logo, although it has been overhauled by Seconde/Seconde/ and given a number of bright green updates. The actual letters of the Isotope name have been rearranged to spell “OTOPSIE” (autopsy), with green arrows pointing to where the letters would go if the logo were to be printed normally.
While autopsy might sound a bit morbid, the brand points out that this is a memento mori watch, without a skull. Additional reminders of your mortality are the hands. While the hour and minute hand appear in Isotope’s classic i-shaped format, the bright green seconds hand has a shape that mirrors the appearance of a failing heartbeat on an ECG machine.
The new Isotope Hydrium Seconde/Seconde, a limited edition of 50 pieces, is offered on a quick-release soft black leather strap with a signed microblasted steel buckle. Inside is the Swiss Landeron 24 automatic movement, which follows the same core design as the ETA 2824 or Sellita SW200 but better decorated with perlage and Geneva stripes.
The Isotope Hydrium Seconde/Seconde/ is now available from the brand’s website and priced at GBP 900 (excl. taxes).

H. Moser & Cie Revamps The Streamliner Flyback Chronograph 2.0
Despite being made in just 100 pieces and just before the pandemic, the H. Moser & Cie. Streamliner, a luxury sports watch elements with an unusually fluid shape, was a huge hit for the brand. Since January 2020, the Streamliner has evolved into a collection with time-only, tourbillon and perpetual calendar models. It is now time for the Streamliner Flyback Chronograph to undergo a slight update, entering its 2.0 phase.
There aren’t any huge updates here, but still welcome. The originality of this collection is intact, with its rounded curves. 42.3mm in diameter and with a relative thickness of 14mm, it features a cool radially brushed finish on top. The dial, apart from a single detail, hasn’t changed. It retains its fumé funky blue colour, tachymeter scale on the periphery and hands with Globolight inserts. The one detail that has changed is the logo, which is now made using transparent lacquer… almost like a secret signature, a reminder of the pre-eminence of the product.
Inside the case is the same calibre HMC 907, a movement that is also known as the AgenGraphe and that has been developed by talented movement maker Agenhor. The architecture, an automatic column-wheel chronograph with an innovative horizontal clutch with a friction wheel (to avoid any issues when the teeth intermesh and reduce unwanted jerks), is the same as before, but the power reserve is now boosted at 72 hours. It has been refreshed with new decoration, including Moser stripes angled at 45° and anthracite grey rhodium plating on the bridges and main plate.
Now available and part of the permanent collection, the Streamliner Flyback Chronograph Automatic Funky Blue 2.0 is priced at CHF 45,000.

Watch Worthy - A look at an offbeat, less known watch you might actually like

The new Tool Watch Co. Diver is a lot of watch for not a lot of money
The Tool Watch Co. Diver will be available as of today through the company’s Indiegogo crowdfunding campaign. During this period, you’ll be able to order the watch for US$295, and after that, the Diver will cost US$500. Even at its regular retail price, I think this watch delivers a lot of value for its money. But especially at that lower introduction price, it feels like an absolute steal. A titanium dive watch with an automatic movement, 300m water resistance, a sapphire crystal, a very decent titanium bracelet…should I go on? I think that’s really impressive for less than $300!

Trying to move my basic home network into either a pfSense or OpnSense build. I need 1g LAN + 5g wifi capability (using a 5g router as a AP) and also want to run IDS / IPS at some point. I also want to run some kind of pihole and probably most importantly a firewall rule that will force all clients to use this pihole or derivative and not allow them to use their own dns servers.
I'm looking at the hardware now and it seems you gotta spend almost 1k to get a 6 core i7. I have some spare hardware at home I think I could use... just buy a mini-itx motherboard and it would be superior to this. For example I have, lying around, a 3600X, 5600G, multiple samsung pro NVMe's and SSD's, atx psu's, g.skill 3600CL16 32GB ram kit, patriot 4400CL14 16GB ram kit, cases, multiple Noctua coolers (including an old d14 that will passively cool those amd cpu's just fine) etc etc. Power usage doesn't matter but I can undervolt them anyway.
I'm wondering if I go this route... presuming I buy an intel 4x1gbps NIC... what do I do about the ONT ethernet connection from the fibre converter box? Do I just plug it into LAN 1 on the NIC or do I need some kind of adapter? Is coreboot hard to flash or even required vs good old AMI bios?
The advantage of a custom build is I could do other stuff like hosting a Plex server (currently mine is a remote leaseweb dedi), print server, or anything else.
What I don't want is to buy a Protectli and then at some point it's running out of cpu power and then I'd have to completely reinstall and set up my network.
I also live in a neighbourhood that a paedophile lives in. He's been convicted 4 times, including two prison stints, and every time he comes out my wifi comes under attack and I have to remove the wifi extender from my network because it seems to run separately from my router (for example last night there were 4 clients on the extender network list despite I only have 3 wifi clients in my house, all 4 had different ip's and mac addresses to the clients shown on my router wifi list). If they gain access to my network and use it for...their crimes... I'm liable because it's my network. Maybe that explains why I'm so paranoid atm.
I would like to disable DHCP completely and give each known client it's own static ip. I have two TV's and a gaming PC on LAN, and then a phone and an ipad and a kindle on wifi.
Does all of this make sense? Custom vs appliance? It would be so much simpler just to not bother with wifi at all but this makes life difficult.
From what I gather, I need.
Fibre > custom firewall / Protectli etc > 1g LAN Switch (any recommendations?) + wifi router in AP mode > clients.
I have a basic 4 port netgear switch but I'm not sure if it's good enough for this usage?

Digital AV (Wii U):
Plug a pair of headphones or computer speakers into the Wii U gamepad.
If you are trying to connect to TV speakers or a receiveamplifier you may need to use an adapter.
This should eliminate any lag that would result from modern TVs spending time processing the video and forcibly delaying the audio.
Analog AV (Wii/Wii U):
Find the white and red cables coming out of your Wii's AV port, unplug them from your TV, then plug them directly into a pair of speakers or an amplifiereceiver.
If you are trying to use headphones you'll have to plug them into one of the above-mentioned devices and/or use an adapter.
This should eliminate any audio latency that would result from the Wii converting a digital signal to analog, the TV converting the analog signal back into digital, then converting the audio back into analog to reach your speakers/headphones. (Plus upscaling and processing and whatnot)

The Wii U gamepad's audio output is a female 3.5mm jack.
The Wii's audio output is a pair of male RCA plugs. (red and white plugs)
Audio Devices:
Most TV speakers or amplifiers/receivers have female RCA jacks as audio inputs.
Most computer speakers have female 3.5mm jacks as audio inputs.
Most headphones have male 3.5mm plugs as audio inputs.
Your objective is to connect one of the sources to one of the audio devices with as little analog/digital conversions or processing between the two as possible. That is how you get good latency!
Why?
Rhythm Heaven has very precise timing windows for successful inputs.
The only way to reliably hit these windows is to stop watching the animations and start listening to the music.
So as a rhythm-deaf epic gamer you have to learn to stop relying on visual reflexes and pre-emptive button presses and start trusting the beat.
But you can't do this if there still is a delay between button presses and on-screen action.
So eliminating latency is really, really important to maintain trust between the player and the game!
Also it just feels better. Whaddaya gonna do.
