2023.06.07 03:56 duru93 Veteran Seeking Advice
Before I start, thank you in advance for reading this and for any assistance you may provide.
I'm an army vet, I was airborne infantry and did five and a half years in the 173rd and the 82nd. In 2014 I had a bad jump, messed up my hip, had a long recovery, and never fully healed. In 2016 I began having chronic pain running from my lower back to my right knee. In 2017 I was med-boarded because I was so debilitated from my injury. Since 2016 I've had doctors and physical therapists in the Army and the VA tell me that nothing was wrong and that I shouldn't be in pain. For the past 7 fucking years I have been in pain, waking up every day angry that I was alive because it was another day I was in pain. Like a 6 or 7 out 10, and trust me, I know what a 10 is. I spent every day drinking myself to sleep or more recently getting stoned to the point I was non-functional, all so I could have time out of pain and decent night of sleep. I have been depressed to point of being suicidal almost the entire time. The VA was useless, and particularly my most recent doctor was the worst. I never saw him more than 5 minutes, he would tell me nothing was wrong and rush me out of his office. On two occasions he outright accused me of faking my pain. Last week I finally turned to a private practitioner, who after a 30 minute conversation figured out that my sciatic nerve wasn't moving the way it should and that was the source of my pain. He did one deep tissue massage and showed me a stretch and I have been almost pain free for an entire week. I haven't needed drugs or alcohol since then. My depression is gone, and I have my life back.
Now to the point of this post. My life goal right now is to ruin my VA doctor's career. This piece of shit should not be treating anyone. I'm seeking any and all advice to accomplish this goal. If you know of something to help, please let me know. I'm a member of the DAV, but all I know about them is that they can help me file claims. Thank you again
Tldr: I've been in pain for 7 years, my VA doctor is a piece of shit, I want to ruin his career.

2023.06.07 03:54 haste18 Hayya Tourist Visa - Can anybody explain this to me?
I got a Formula 1 ticket for Doha in October. I booked my accommodation. Then I apply for a Hayya Tourist Visa A1 for my wife, she needs one. I upload my accommodation which clearly shows I will stay there in October and apply for the visa. Visa gets granted and I pay for it and receive the visa. The visa says I have to enter before 6th of August 2023.
Nowhere it states on the Hayya portal that when you apply for the visa and pay for it that you will have to enter Qatar in the next 30 days.
The FAQ for the Tourist Visa has 3 questions. The whole system is so unclear. Support via email responds quickly, but their level of English is horrible.
Am I the dumb one here or is this system just faulty? Why approve my visa with accommodation booked for October and then tell me to enter within a month from now? Why?

2023.06.07 03:53 Hav0Cal Just want to share this.
Just feel the need to share this. Took me about 30 minutes to write. I know it's not the most elegant or masterful literary piece ever but I think it's ok. Then again, I barely had the strength to struggle through skimming over it for typo's...
Love is the scariest drug. No one warns of it. None are prepared for the addiction and withdrawals of love. Many fear poking themselves with needles of heroin or morphine. Most fear taking high doses of diphenhydramine. We’re always told to never snort coke, or smoke crack. To never cook meth. But no one warns of love. It’s funny that the most emotional writings, enthusiastic paintings, and heartbreaking songs are all the result of love. Love isn’t a fine white powder, or a bud from a plant. Love won’t leave tar in your lungs, or leave you hallucinating. No. Love is… far worse. Love is dangerous. Deadly. Love will paralyze you with the most painstaking and joyful delirium of your life - better than any high - and drop you flat on your fucking face. But you will want and need more. Love is never enough. Love will make promises that no one could keep. Love will lead you to decisions that will change lives. Love will kill. Love will break you down and build you up over and over and over again, until you are broken beyond repair. Love will fool you. Love will feast on anyone like the parasite it is until it has killed the host. Physically or mentally. Love will never apologize or say sorry, and will never forgive you. Love will tie you up and leave you to drown. Love will betray you. Love will take the form of the prettiest girl, the sweetest guy, the most luscious scent, and your wildest hopes and dreams. It will cower in the shadows, innocently devouring you. It may take days, or years. When it has control - when you are at your weakest - it will strike, and consume you whole. It will tear apart flesh from flesh and bones from bones. Love won’t cut your heart out. No. Love will trick you into carving your chest open with a rusty, dull blade, smashing your ribs, and tearing your beating heart out with your bare hands. You’ll look at it. You'll think of what it once was, and what it’s become. You’ll admire the black, pulsing, oozing decay. It will stop throbbing. And you will die.

2023.06.07 03:53 fafik90 Chicago Consulate Appointment Question
Booked an appointment to the Chicago Consulate to get an L Visa. All appointment slots are listed as 9:00 - 14:30. There is not choice in selecting a specific time. Anyone have any experience in going to their appointment? Can you just show up anytime during the listed hours? Looks like they have near 300 spots left each day for the next three months even including tomorrow so I assume they don't have many people coming.

2023.06.07 03:52 jurassicparkk I want to quit my corporate job and be a waitress. Am I crazy?
I’m 30f, worked in corporate most of my 20’s. I recently moved from a job I was in for eight years into a new one with better pay a few months back. Except it sucks. It’s a toxic culture, my anxiety is through the roof, and it was sold as vastly different job description. My probation is up end of June, I want to quit before then because I don’t want to give four weeks notice, and find casual work.
Only issue I have is I head to Europe mid July and back end of august.
Would I be crazy, as a 30 year old female with no real waitressing experience (customer service yes) to do this? Anything casual would do. I feel like I’m at the end of my rope and that I just need a break to reassess everything.
The other option I have is to hold out til Europe, and then email my resignation the day I leave, thus my four weeks is while I’m away. (If it works like that). It feels abit unethical…but they sorta deserve it.
Id also have to sort casual work out when I come back.
I just feel really stuck.
I’m not sure if I’m about to completely fuck up my life or if this is the best thing for me. Has anyone ever done anything like this?

2023.06.07 03:51 Individual-Singer-60 38F and 38M Is he pulling away or just my insecurities
New relationship is he pulling away or just my insecurities?
I’ve been seeing a new guy for about two weeks. We talk every day throughout most of the day. The first few times we hung out we spent over 8 hrs together. After our second date we spoke about what we were each looking for and we’re in the same page. That evening he texted me and let me know he deleted his dating profiles. We’ve discussed wanting to see where things go with us and that neither one of us is seeing anyone else right now. He has been very affectionate verbally and physically when we’ve been together and in conversation. However the last time we saw each other—two days ago, he came over after work on a Sunday. We had planned to cook, but asked if se could just order food. He had been at work since 5am and I agreed it was a long day and would rather order in. He kissed me hello and we ate while watching a show. He payed down with his head on my lap and held my hand but after about 30 min moved to the other side of the couch (I have a sectional so it was the separate couch) for the duration of the movie). After about an hr he moved back and was holding my hand and snuggling a little but then got up and said he was going to head home. He kissed me quickly good night. He texted me when he got home and we talked a bit more before bed. We’ve talked in the two days since, but he seems more distant. No affectionate words and more short, but still talking throughout the day. I have to leave to go out of town for five days on Friday and asked if I would see him before but he said he couldn’t because of work. I know things have been stressful this week—he has a 4 year old daughter as well, but he feels like he is pulling away. Am I reading too much into this? He has made the first moves—introducing me to friends, removing dating profiles, etc. my insecurities are saying he is second guessing. I realize it’s only been a couple of weeks but could really use some advice.

2023.06.07 03:51 ifyoureoffendedgtfo Cast shaking & bonded betrayal
Species: cat
Breed: tuxedo cat
Age: 3
Spayed
Body weight: 10.7 lbs
Hx: no prior health concerns, broke her radius/ulna, surgical repair with plates
Clinical signs: cast shaking
Duration: 30-60 second intervals
Location: U.S.
My sweet, little kitty girl (3f) badly broke her radius/ulna and had plates put in last Thursday. She has a cast and gets a bandage change in a few days. Last dose of buprenex was today. Gabapentin Q2-3x for the next 7 weeks.
Does shaking her cast indicate more pain? It’s occurring a lot more today compared to since her accident. It’s short bursts of shaking it and sometimes a chill/shiver runs thru the rest of her body. I asked my vet before surgery (bone reduction cast was on). We got side tracked before it was addressed.
Has a great appetite/thirst and is voiding properly. She’s very snuggly after I get home from work but isn’t today and is napping in her sister’s closet bed right now (she misses her, see below).
She is bonded with another cat (2f) who has been hissing and swatting at her (and me) since the surgery. I’m keeping them separated and I’m always supervising my injured girl. It appears normal from google and due to meds changing her smell. Is there a possibility my younger cat will always be like this when her sister is healed? She’s (2f) always been the more feral of the pair. I have an anxiety disorder so, I wanted to check in and hear your professional experiences. Thank you.

2023.06.07 03:51 starcat_the2nd Asked chatgbt to turn distractible into a SCP
Item #: SCP-XXXX
Object Class: Euclid
Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to be contained within a soundproof and electronically shielded containment chamber at Site-██. The containment chamber is to be equipped with audio monitoring devices to detect any anomalous activity. SCP-XXXX is to be stored in a locked and sealed soundproof case when not under testing.
Due to the memetic properties of SCP-XXXX, personnel assigned to its containment must undergo regular psychological evaluations and memetic resistance training. No personnel with a history of attention deficit or hyperactivity disorders are to be assigned to SCP-XXXX.
Description: SCP-XXXX is an audio recording identified as the "Distractible Podcast." It is an anomalous podcast series hosted by individuals known as "Mark" and "Bob," with each episode ranging from 30 to 60 minutes in duration. SCP-XXXX exhibits a number of highly unusual properties that affect both the hosts and listeners.
The primary anomalous effect of SCP-XXXX is its extreme ability to distract and divert the attention of individuals who listen to it. This effect is amplified in individuals who already possess a predisposition for distractibility. The content of the podcast is intentionally designed to be highly engaging, frequently shifting topics and employing rapid-fire humor, sound effects, and tangential discussions. These elements work in tandem to captivate the listener's attention and prevent focused cognitive processing.
Listeners often report losing track of time, becoming disoriented, and experiencing difficulty in completing tasks while listening to SCP-XXXX. The distractibility effect persists even after the podcast is paused or turned off, leading to prolonged difficulty in concentrating on other activities.
Furthermore, SCP-XXXX possesses memetic properties that make it highly contagious. Listeners who have been exposed to SCP-XXXX are more likely to recommend it to others, resulting in rapid propagation of the memetic influence. The podcast has gained a significant following and has been downloaded millions of times.
Addendum XXXX-1: Incident XXXX-Alpha On ██/██/20██, during a routine containment inspection, a security breach occurred when Junior Researcher ██████ unintentionally activated the playback of SCP-XXXX while performing maintenance in the containment chamber. Due to the containment breach, SCP-XXXX's memetic effects spread throughout Site-██, leading to a mass distraction event. Multiple personnel became incapacitated, and a number of security breaches occurred across the facility.
After █ hours, security personnel managed to regain control of the situation and contained SCP-XXXX. A thorough review of security protocols was conducted, and additional measures were implemented to prevent similar incidents in the future.
Addendum XXXX-2: Experiment Log XXXX
Experiment XXXX-01: Purpose: To assess the long-term effects of exposure to SCP-XXXX. Procedure: D-Class personnel D-2534 was exposed to SCP-XXXX for 24 hours. Results: D-2534 exhibited extreme difficulty in maintaining attention and focus for several days after exposure. Cognitive impairment was observed, and D-2534 displayed a marked decline in performance on cognitive tests. Conclusion: Prolonged exposure to SCP-XXXX amplifies the distractibility effect and results in significant long-term cognitive impairment.
Experiment XXXX-07: Purpose: To examine the effects of SCP-XXXX on individuals with attention deficit and hyperactivity disorders. Procedure: D-Class personnel diagnosed with ADHD (D-3867) listened to SCP-XXXX for 15 minutes. Results: D-3867 experienced an intensification of symptoms associated with ADHD, including heightened restlessness, difficulty concentrating, and increased impulsivity. These effects persisted for several hours after exposure. Conclusion: SCP-XXXX exacerbates the symptoms of attention deficit and hyperactivity disorders, making it highly detrimental for individuals with these conditions.

2023.06.07 03:50 Spittin_mad1968 Rental Restrictions changing by HOA Board in Florida
I have a townhouse unit in Florida that currently has rental restrictions in place - rentals must be for a minimum of 30 days and each unit can only rent 4 times per calendar year. I'm ok with these rules. However, the Board is proposing new restrictions to include a minimum of 90 days and only a 5 units (10% of the complex) can be rented out at the same time.
This percentage rule is highly restrictive and positions unit owners who rent against each other. In essence, if I miss the window of rental opportunity and 5 other units have contracts in place for that same time period, I have to let my unit sit empty and not generating income. Can the HOA do this? These rules were NOT in place when I bought the unit, can I be held to the new rules? These new rules will also be a barrier to selling the unit if I choose to do that.

2023.06.07 03:49 pugdogsarecool Please help me with my mom
This is a long story so buckle up. I've always had a bad relationship with my mother. I'm her youngest child she had on accident when she was 41. (I'm 22 now) my siblings are both 30. She's always treated them so well. She'd never out right say she didn't love me but she'd always say "I have 2 kids I love so much" "my 2 kids are everything to me" and stuff like that. After my older siblings moved out (I was 12 at the time) my dad left her after enduring her abuse for 20 years... but he didn't take me with him. Which may have been for the best as my mom had convinced me he was an addict and I was scared of him. My mom would sit in her room and scream for hours on end calling him every name in the book. It was super scary to see because she wasn't talking to anyone. I'd just be in my room and hear her screaming like she was dying for HOURS everyday when I came home from school.
Soon this escalated to her hitting me everyday and then telling people I would hit her? She'd scratch her arms and say I did it in a rage when even when she was hitting me I never hit her I'd usually just take it until she'd start choking me and then I'd push her away because I didn't want to die. She's broken 3 of my toes pretty badly from stepping on them on with all her body weight and when I cried she laughed and said I deserved it. Cps showed up twice and ultimately made things worse as when they left she'd freak out at me and call me a liar and say im "evil and not of Jesus christ" my moms a mormon but she really doesn't practice very religiously. We only went to church sometimes so I never took it super seriously but she'd act like we were a super Christian godly household.
She would take me to so many therapists and psychiatrists saying that there was something wrong with me. The psychiatrists were very prescription happy. But the therapists always tell me when I was alone with them that my mom was seriously mentally ill. When they'd try and have her work on herself too she'd rage quit therapy and go find another one. Last time I talked to her she was telling me about how hard it is having a mentally ill child "I've spent so much money on therapy and pills for you! My other children didn't need any of that!"
I ended up going to live with my dad when I was 14-16 but my step mother took issue with me. To this day im unsure why. I was always nice to her and helped around the house, did well in school. She was constantly mean. So they sent me back to live with my mom and the cycle of abuse with her started again.
I got through my senior year and she kicked me out without notice on my 18th birthday. I was going to move out once school was out but she demanded I left sooner. So I did. I had to live in my car with everything i owned for a week before I found an apartment. She told everyone that she kicked me out because I hit her and threw a book at her face and that just didn't happen. I did throw a book but it wasn't at her or anywhere near her.
Shortly after my senior year I ended up getting pregnant. Really stupid move on my part. I still feel guilty and it's been 3 years. I tried my best to keep my birth son but i was homeless and working 10 hour days at 7 months pregnant. So I ended up asking a nice infertile couple who I knew were looking to adopt if they would adopt my boy. They did and they have been amazing. At first my mom was like "oh my daughters so great she chose life" and all that BS. (I'm not pro life. Just her) The adoption is open so we both get to see him sometimes and she's kind of like an extra grandma to him and I'm like an aunt maybe? But it eventually turned to her shaming me for being an unfit mother. Calling me fat because of baby weight. Shaming me for getting pregnant by a guy who hit me. (He didn't start till after I was pregnant)
It's gotten to the point where she legitimately tries to make me jealous by going on about how she's my birth sons favorite person. I've never seen them together and if that was the case I wouldn't care but her trying to use my baby as a pawn weirds me out so much. He's only 2! She also didn't see him for months because she told his adoptive parents "you guys seem stressed Maybe you should give him to someone better fit to parent" when the adoptive mom was struggling a bit caring for a new born because it's so hard!
She's taking my siblings to Italy this summer for a big trip and told them that she can't take me because I'm mentally ill. I told her very respectfully that I was very hurt I felt like the "redheaded step child" to which she just said I was a spoiled brat and she doesn't owe me anything and that it's my own fault I'm "miserable" and that ill never heal unless i got on medication again and stop blaming her etc. She has them over every weekend to do stuff and not me.
For the most part I'm no contact with her. I still am around my siblings. They have helped me immensely and I love them. But I just am so lost on how to handle my mom. My son's birthday is on the 3rd and she's gonna be there. I'm so nervous. She makes me physically ill to be around. She's accused me of hitting her even as an adult and runs around like she's a victim of abuse. She tells people that I hit her and her stories don't line up at all and are so blatantly fake and then says the stories I've told of my childhood are made up in my mind because I'm mentally ill and that I abused her from the ages of 10 and up. Even sometimes tries to shame me for temper tantrums I had in my terrible 2's.
Idk whats wrong with her. She's been diagnosed with autism and depression but that's it.

2023.06.07 03:49 Delicious-Schedule-4 Sanity check for a demoralized newbie: am I a slow responder, impatient, or training wrong?
Hey everyone, hopefully this doesn't sound too cliche (new climber complains about not enough finger strength, what's new). I've officially hit a year of bouldering, extremely consistently indoors 3 times per week for 2.5-3 hour sessions, and my progression of strength has really confused me. I came in with an athletic background and calisthenics training, could pull just under 150% BW for one rep. It took me about three to four months to climb some juggy indoor v4s consistently, with some gimmicky v5/v6s thrown in (dyno, coordination, one move wonders). In those three to four months, I didn't really do any other training, but my pulling strength exploded: I tried a one arm pullup and one arm chinup one day and found myself doing it out of nowhere; I was able to front lever for 3-5 seconds when I struggled with a tuck front lever before climbing; and I could now do 30 clean pullups, whereas before I maxed out at 16. However, I noticed that my finger strength was still relatively weak and I was especially weak on crimps: on v3 crimp problems (vertical climbs that were extremely straightforward but with 1.25 pad holds) I was often shut down. I couldn't hang bodyweight on a 20 mm edge; in fact, even hanging bodyweight on a large campus rung (~32 mm) I could only hang for about 7-10 seconds max.
I made a post here for advice on how to close the gap between body and finger strength and the message was basically to start focusing more on crimps and try low frequency and intensity hangboarding if I felt like I could handle the volume. For the last 5-6 months, I've been doing exactly that: dropping my ego and working on v2 to v3 crimpy problems which would become multi-session projects. The people I climb with, who started around the same time as me +- a couple months, were flashing these problems or even using them as warmups or for eliminates (they are comfortably climbing v5/v6 now). I continued to tell myself to be patient, that fingers take longer to train than other muscle groups, and that by just climbing, I was improving my finger strength and technique and this would pay dividends later when my fingers were at the level that I could leverage my pulling power on hard climbs. I also did about 1 light hanging session a week, usually on a campus rung where I would either no hang on a smaller rung or hang bodyweight on a medium rung.
However, very recently I came home to boulder with a friend that I began my climbing journey with (I had moved away after a month for a job and continued bouldering there). My friend had also continued climbing, but less serious than me, with month-long breaks in between and closer to 1-2 times per week. We both concluded I had probably put in more than twice as much time in as my friend had, and my friend rarely climbed crimps and never did any directed finger training; I have always also been thinner (5'9'' at 135ish lbs). When we climbed together, we could see the difference in the movement on the wall: I had better footwork and technique, understanding of body positioning, and route reading, but once we figured out the actual moves, it seemed that there was no difference between the moves that we both could or couldn't do in terms of holding onto the wall. We were curious to see our difference in finger strength so we decided to test it with simple body weight hangs on a hangboard (he had never used it and didn't even know what a half crimp was so I had to teach him). I still couldn't come close to hanging on a 20 mm edge, and could hang for about 3-5 seconds on a 25 mm campus rung body weight. My friend could hang for 5-7 seconds on a 20 mm edge, and 3-5 seconds on a 19 mm campus rung body weight.
We were both shocked at the results, and I'm more than a little dismayed. My finger strength hasn't had absolutely zero progression in the last six months and I'm sending those v2-v3 climbs after multiple sessions, which is great, but in the context of everyone I've climbed with, it seems I'm putting in so much effort for very little results. On top of that, my climbing sessions have also been pretty frustrating and not fun, as the climbs I'm doing are really not very complex or interesting, and yet I'm still falling repeatedly because literally 1% of my body is not strong enough to do the climb. People tell me I'm strong, I feel strong, but on the wall, I just feel so weak and it leaves me so disappointed. A lot of what I enjoy about climbing is the engagement of your full body and the sensation of floating and control, and I leave each session frustrated at the lack of this feeling, and also annoyed at myself for even feeling frustrated--I realize I'm a new climber, being weak is normal, and I might be taking things too seriously, but I can't seem to help it. I also can't escape the nagging feeling that things will just get slower, as strength gains are generally fastest at the beginning, and then tail off over time. If I am just really genetically poor in the fingers, I don't know how long I can just continue to be frustrated in the hopes that one day it all pays off. It's honestly made me question my future in the sport, even though I love the idea of it so much.
Sorry for the long post, but this has been weighing on my mind for quite a while. Am I just training wrong, is everyone around me just coincidentally super good and I'm impatient, or am I just doomed to lagging finger strength because of genetics? Maybe some combination of all three? I would appreciate all perspective you might have, whether it's training-related or mental-related, as honestly both seem to need assistance at this point!

2023.06.07 03:49 Hot-Chemistry4708 Down 18 pounds in 30 days counting cals, with a catch
I'm feeling proud of myself and wanted to share. I made it down from 255 to 237 in 30 days. I'm a 34M 6'0".
I used to be much more athletic, but a few untreated injuries have caught up with me over a couple years. Once I got to a point where I could work out again, I went in pretty hard. Strength was coming back, but I couldn't get the weight down. So I asked my doc for blood work. And it showed I had excess glucose, and am likely at least a bit insulin resistant.
I had already been counting calories and working at like an 800 cal deficit/day. And there were days when I felt awful. Once I knew what was going on with my glucose, and adjusted my diet to ditch high g.i. foods, I started consistently feeling more energetic, and was even able to drop down to 1800 cal/day without feeling hungry. Just prioritizing protein, and finding the balance between fat and carbs that won't kill me.
All of that to say... TALK TO YOUR DOCTOR. Weight loss should absolutely be viewed through a medical lens, and just getting some lab work can make your journey more efficient and rewarding.

We worked with hundreds of entrepreneurs over the past 4 years, and we were able to fulfill the demands of our clients, whether they needed 1 Virtual Executive Assistant to win at work and life or 100 Virtual Executive Assistants to do marketing.
We have worked with clients in every niche you can imagine, from solopreneurs doing $30k a year to SMBs doing $10 million a year.
By taking over the client’s usual tasks, they were able to launch new products, increase their marketing efforts and finish work on time to be with their family.
Alright, but there’s a lot of Executive Assistant companies out there what separates you from them? Our VAs are not paper pushers. They can do it, but it’s not what they are good at. They are executive assistants, here to make your life easier and your business more efficient. We are not looking to input some numbers and call it a day, we are looking to actually help, and as help we mean we work side by side with the VAs to finish the tasks that you delegate to them, provide daily reports of work, time tracking, KPIs and many more.
Full Time Virtual Employee for just $99 a week? Why are you massively underselling yourself? The cost of living in South Asia (India Nepal Philippines) is not that much. An average employee brings in $200 a month for example. Our team members are not rocket scientists, they are not engineers either with 20 years of experience, they are executive assistants who are here to assist you in business and free up your time.
Not quite enough? We have worked with hundreds of entrepreneurs and small business owners in almost every niche you can imagine.
Still not enough? You won’t find a similar service for this price anywhere on Earth. Guaranteed!
Our VAs have got the knowledge and the skill, and (most importantly. in our opinion) the need to be the best at what they’re doing. Our main priority is to build a long term relationship with our clients and grow together, if you are looking to hire someone, not just to finish some projects but to work side by side with you to grow your business from Day 1 and decades to come. you’ve come to the right place.
Wait, wait? Do you even have a website? We do.
Offshorewolf.com, not just that but we also have 417 employees in South East Asia.
Stand out from the crowd
Guess what most successful people have in common? Many people buy clothes, carats, cars and gold but the most successful people in the world buy time. 2023.06.07 03:47 Zipity130 VERA
Had a VERA call today about my HLR duty to assist. While on the call I asked her what they meant by the duty to assist. She advised that there was information that they did not consider during my last supplement. She advised that it takes 30-120 days. She said the longer it takes just means a big payday. Makes me think I might get a big payday. But on the other hand you can never tell with the VA. I wonder if she read something that she couldn’t say out right. Always make you wonder.

2023.06.07 03:47 Ok_Zone_8027 A student did not join the class and marked it as the teacher didn't join the class
I was supposed to have a trial session with a new student and this student did not reply to any of my messages when I ask him about his target and background and did not reply to my other messages, and did not join the class as well. I was waiting for the whole 30 minutes in the meeting room and I was sending him messages asking if he is okay and is there any issue joining the class, but no reply and the next day, the student has selected that the teacher did not attend the class and didn't give a proir notice. I can't accept this as the outcome, because it will affect my profile. What will happen if I declined it and when it goes to the dispute settlement?

2023.06.07 03:46 Iceblader Are you afraid of reaching an old age?
The other day I asked a friend how she would like to remember her life when she was 70 and she replied that she doesn't plan to live that long, at most a little past 30. That seemed...bad to say the least. Anyway, I know that there are people who deal with depression and other mental problems, but these types of thoughts do not seem right to me regardless of the person's condition. I have also noticed that lately the culture of "don't worry, die young" is expanding, by which many get carried away and do not take advantage of their youthful years.
Would you like to grow old?

2023.06.07 03:46 SweetVCupcakes Seeing Exact Apartments Before Signing Lease
Hi everyone! I have seen the discussion of whether you should be seeing the exact apartment you will be getting before you sign the lease on here multiple times.
Personally, I have never been able to see my exact unit before signing the lease. I typically get to see a show unit and then sign the lease. Luckily, I haven’t had any issues so far with the units I’ve received.
For those that saw their exact units before they signed, how did you manage to do that? Additionally, what if the unit is currently occupied? Also, how likely is it that you can see the unit if you are looking 30-60 days before your lease is up?
I feel like being able to see the exact unit may work if you’re moving in within a short time and the unit is (recently) unoccupied.
Thank you!
