Average Grapes Yield?
2023.06.07 03:10 TheRealBongeler Average Grapes Yield?
I can't find a whole lot of info on the yield for grapes. The Wiki just says "5+". I remember it not really being worth the time back in the day, cuz it was 2 tithe farm points per seed, but now that you get more points, I was wondering if it might be worthwhile? Any opinions on it post Tithe Farm update? I'm 90 Farming, and I've got secateurs and diary bonuses.
If I'm being honest, I'm an iron and really just want to get Wine of Zammy faster than tele-grabbing.

2023.06.07 02:51 fry0129 [Waybound] a story about Ziel. so much Spoilers, like so much.
Hi everybody this is my first real attempt at fanfiction, spoilers for Waybound obviously. I stayed up unhealthily late Monday night to finish the book like a lot of people did. And the next day did one of the most boring jobs, dipping shingles and hanging them to dry for eight hours. The good news is I had plenty of time to think and made this story. Hopefully, if the response is good there will be more. Enjoy!
The Silverlord Fereleigh stepped into the iteration and stretched her power, the Abidan had abandoned this universe, it was on the edge of its sector and they would have an easier time stabilizing all the other iterations in this sector if they abandoned it. Plus it had a high likelihood of becoming irreparably corrupted in the next century. This meant that it was the perfect harvest for the Vroshir. And only one person stood in her way.
He appeared as a young man with green horns and a grey cloak. In his hands, he held a massive hammer and a shield that looked as though it was made from a turtle's shell. Both resonated with different kinds of Authority. It was his armor that worried her the most though, it was pitch black and seemed to drink in the light of the nearby star. So this was one of those new reapers that she had been hearing about, he felt more like a titan to Fereleighs senses, with a deep connection to the power of the shield. The man looked at her with relief, “Finally,” he said, and his voice echoed across the void between planets, “ I would have gone mad if I had to write up one more trade agreement or negotiate one more peace treaty. I swear Eithan chooses those assignments just to annoy me.”
Fereleigh had admired The Mad King for centuries, to her he had been the symbol that all Vroshir should strive to be, and she had modeled her power after his. But instead of one great fiend bound inside her, she had thousands of lesser ones, she carefully cultivated them from corrupted worlds. It meant she had to constantly contend with thousands of voices inside her pushing her to destroy and cause chaos.
This meant that when she saw the armor of the man who had helped kill Daruman all of her fiends pushed her to smite the person who wore it from existence. The Mad King would not waste time on words, so neither would she. A swirling sun of screaming voices appeared above her and shot a beam of condensed hatred hot enough to make the close by sun seem like a flickering ember and it was enhanced by her silver crown, the authority of a Silverlord. This attack was as much spiritual and mental as it was physical. And the person who received it would have to fight off the combined pain and hatred of thousands of tortured fiends.
The man caught it on his shield, Fereleigh had expected that. She had defeated titans before and they were annoyingly hard to kill but as long as you kept them cornered, they usually didn't have strong offensive power. Still, she had expected it to do more than ruffle his hair. In the next instant, he was in front of her and swinging his hammer down. The blow carried far more offensive power than she expected, at least the equal to his defensive. And she felt the other deep connection to the way this man possessed, a connection to the power of the hammer. But not the hammer of The Builder or The Maker, this was the hammer of The Breaker, the Unmaker. It carried the power of a wolf. She could see why this man had been chosen as a reaper.
Still, she felt her defenses could take it. It might burn through some of her fiends but it would be worth it to eliminate one of Ozriels pets. For he had left himself open. In striking with his hammer he couldn't defend with his shield. She struck out with another of her beams of hatred and was already feeling satisfied with her victory when the man's shield flashed and its power was activated and a golden avatar appeared around his body, the avatar took the image of a man with a shell and tail. Whatever creature had died to make that shield had been thousands of years older than Fereleigh with a will that was so strong it would break a world just by existing in it. It synergized with the man's will and black armor so that even though it struck his armor exactly where she intended it to, this time it didn't even ruffle his hair.
And finally, Fereleigh realized her mistake. The mistake that would cost her her life. And it had been staring her right in the face. This man wasnt a wolf or a titan. He was a Reaper, and his hammer carried The Blessing of Ozriel. It slammed straight through her shields, many of which had been scavenged from titans, and destroyed thousands of her fiends in an instant as they swarmed around her to guard her. And then it crashed into her chest and she felt her Origin crack.
When Fereleigh finally stopped moving she found herself in the core of one of the moons that orbited the main planet of the iteration. She immediately looked towards where she felt the man had been then she realized that from some odd coincidence three of five moons had been in alignment and she blasted straight through two before stopping. It should have been more she new, but the attack had been focused on breaking her origin, not her body. And it had worked, she now only had acces to a fraction of her former power, and the only reason she had survived was her long experiance as a Silverlord and the many seals she had wrapped around her soul, all of which were gone now.
“Thats disappointing, I thought you would have died from the first strike, obviously I need to train more.” the green horned man was floating above her with his hammer drawn back for another strike, which Fereleigh new would kill her. She fled. She tore open a portal into the way and vanished form the iteration. Only to be spit back out hundreds of miles away. She felt what he had done. He had sealed the entire iteration from anyone trying to leave. She could probably undo the seals given enough time but the man had already caught up to her. So she slipped through the way again. Not trying to leave, only trying to move to a different location in the iteration, which the seals allowed. And so started a game of cat and mouse where Fereleigh tried to run and hide long enough to figure out how to dismantle the seals keeping her from escaping. If there was one advantage she had, it was that she was slightly better at spatial transportation than him, which allowed her to stay ahead
As she did she contemplated the mans hammer. Incorporating Reaper artifacts into other weapons was notoriously hard to do, even the Abidan struggled with it and they had the willing cooperation of the Reaper himself. The destructive authority embedded in them broke down almost all other materials they came into contact with, sure The Mad King and the previous Makiel had made weapons with Reaper authority, but that was The Mad King and Makiel, unsurpassed craftsmen, well, almost unsurpassed. That the man had incorporated such a thing into his power was astonishing, though he was obviously still struggling to bring out its full potential. The hammer itself felt like it had been with the man since he was very young. So it was a wise choice to use to command authority. And as Fereleigh looked closer she realized that embedded in the head of the hammer was a black arrowhead, and it contained the finality of Death.
While she contemplated this a battle continued to rage between the two ascended. As Fereleigh slipped between the world again she threw a grenade at the main planet of the iteration. Either the greenhorned man would quit battle to stop it from releasing its sun sized detonation. Or he let it land to continue chasing her, which would destablize the entire universe with the amount it killed. Only right when it was about to enter the planets atmosphere a script circle appeared around the planet. Trapping the grenade in time. Fereleigh cursed, of course he had layered defenses over the planet before she got there. Than the grenade disappeared and appeared right in front of her where its seals vanished and it detonated in her face. She screamed in frustration as fire washed over her. Luckily she had teleported out before she got more than a sunburn.
The fight continued like this for what felt like hours. But in reality was only a few minutes. She unleashed a luck spirit that loved chaos and would twist fate around whoever she wanted, to either make there fate lean toward positive or negative outcomes. She swung with a butchers knife that was made of a piece of the night sky of a far off world. She hurled a worn out fishing net that could entrap a skilled member of the fox division. He either broke with his hammer, guarded with his shield, or straight up avoided when he needed. He must have an incredible Presence in order to meet each attack with precisly the force required.
Finally he cornered her in spinning green scripts, and Fereleigh new her end had come. In one last act of desperation she burned all her remaining fiends, only a little more than a hundred at this point, to unleash one last hate beam that flew towards him. She expected him to summon that golden avatar of absolute strength, but instead he simply held out his black armored hand and let the attack hit him. Given his authority over protection plus his armor the physical part of the attack wouldnt do him much damage, though she saw a little smoke rising from the armor. Likewise his spirit was strong and unyielding, and was able to withstand the attack. But the mental component must have been agony, hearing those endless screams like nails driven into your head. But his hard expression didnt change and he floated forward until he was infront of her. In his eyes she saw the judgement of an executioner, and somehow she new he was aware of her great sin. The last word Fereleigh the Silverlord heard before her the hammer descended was, “You deserve this.”
……………..
“Wow, that was impressive and very cool. I mean you usually are. But especially today” Ziels Dross made a contented noise as Ziel himself gathered up what corrupted remains were left of the Silverlord and contained them in a scripted ball. When he returned to The Grave he would put it into an incinerator-like machine Eithan and Lindon had made that could be used to imitate Eithan's power and erase anything put inside from existence. It couldn't be moved easily and could only be used on relatively small things. But it was still very useful. Dross, seeing Ziels hard face chimed in again “ Oh come on you enjoyed it. I know you did.” He had. It had been nice facing a real opponent. Granted not one that had a shot of defeating him but still one that could surprise him, like that fishnet, that would have really slowed him down if he had gotten caught in it. He knew there were thousands of people out there that could beat him, but he mostly worked inside worlds and didn't face any real opponents.
So he had enjoyed it, right up until Dross had told him how the woman came to her power. She had purposely corrupted worlds in order to grow fiends. Sacrificing millions to gain a few hundred fiends that would serve her well. In the end, it hadn't been any trick that had allowed Ziel to push back her final attack. His wrath had simply been greater. Ziel knew he would need to have a long talk with Emriss after this. Maybe take some time to relax with his friend, teach Lirin a little scripting. This was the primary way the new Reapers resisted corruption. Because for all Daruman had been good and just once, he had always preferred to work alone. And when he became the vessel for a True Fiend, he had no one he trusted to help him. No one stood for him when it really mattered.
Still fighting a silverlord had drained him. And her attacks were potent. He wouldn't have liked facing them without his dreadgod shield. He looked down at his gauntlet and found the metal twisted and some of the paint flecked off. His mind and body were sore. So he finished repairing the moons he had destroyed and slipped into the way, the seals he had placed around the iteration dissolving before him. Little Blue would come and clean up the corruption that had drawn the Vroshir in the first place. Ziel needed to sleep
Ok, so this is my first story I'm writing following the group's adventures through the way. I hope to make one for each member of the group but I started with Ziel because he is my guy. I have no idea how far down the line this is timewise. But I think a little bit for Ziel to beat a silverlord. Even with some of Ozriels power, armor made by him, and a dreadgod weapon. Though i personally think one day Ziels hammer will be even more significant than his shield.
I made some additions to Ziels power. I think the synergy of Shield and Hammer Icons work well with him. And it gives him both defensive and offensive power. Plus he is a reaper, he should be able to hit hard. The Hammer has also been a symbol that has been with him almost as long as his desire to protect. So I think he would have about equal authority over it. Obviously its a different type of hammer icon than Lindons. The addition of the shard of penance to his hammer I think works(in story it was added by Lindon and Eithan working together. Since he killed a dreadgod with a splinter of Ozriels power I thought that would help him gain some control over it(like when Yerin killed Sesh with penance, though that was a much bigger splinter) and also he is Ozriels apprentice even before he ascended and I think would medidate in front of the real Paths of Heaven in the labyrinth(including Ozriels door) as much as he can. Making him better attuned to death. I know everyone in the group has different abilities but i feel like they should all be at least a tiny bit connected to the power of the reaper. Any questions?

2023.06.07 02:22 hahahahahaimsad PSA: It should take about 3 hours per day to achieve Double All-Star status
If my calculations are correct — and please correct me if they're not, since I didn't even know what the Altador Cup was until about a week ago — it should take roughly 3 hours of constant grinding per day to reach the Double All-Star rank in AC XVIII. This takes into account the 4 Bye Days, and assumes 23 days of full participation throughout the event. Here's the breakdown:
- Each game of Yooyuball is a fixed 3 minutes, maximum. You can bring this time down by 8 seconds for each goal you score, and since you need at least one goal to win the game (and therefore to submit it at all), you'll be operating at a max time of 2 minutes 52 seconds per game. We'll assume a generous 20 second delay in-between games too, just to account for any potential lag, delays, or other possible distractions that would take away from this optimal time. That would mean that each game, worst case, should take 3 minutes 12 seconds to submit. You can submit up to 35 Yooyuball games per day, so altogether, it should take you roughly 112 minutes — just under 2 hours — to slog through Yooyuball each day. This isn't even factoring in if you choose to score multiple goals each game, which would bring your time down even further from there. Doing this will net you 420 points per day, or 9,660 points total to spend at the prize shop when the event is over.
- For Shootout Showdown, it is fortunately a bit less cumbersome than the 301 game submission limit would lead you to think. The trick for this game is, you can end it prematurely after scoring a single goal; (the easiest way IMO is to use your mouse, click down to point toward the right end of the goal, and wait for the goalie to wander to the left to score a quick point) after 10 seconds have elapsed per game, such that the timer reads 50 seconds or less. Assuming a 5 second delay between games, each game of Shootout Showdown should then take you approximately 15 seconds max to submit, ergo 301 submissions should take about 1 hour, 15 minutes. This will net you 301 points per day, or 6,923 points total to spend at the prize shop when the event is over.
All-in-all, then, assuming it takes this much time for you to get through maxing both games each day, meaning no long breaks or outside interruptions between games, it would take you
187 minutes, or 3 hours, 7 minutes on average, to complete the Double All-Star grind. You would also end up with
16,583 total points to spend once all is said and done.
I'd include the other two games, Make Some Noise and Slushie Slinger in this post as well, but I don't plan on touching either of them for the duration of this event. I've never played either before, and am operating on the assumption that they'd each take longer than the rewards would be worth. But! If you're crazy and dedicated enough to try and max those out each day also, you could theoretically end up with
an additional 15,893 points, giving you
a total sum of 32,476 points to spend in the prize shop.
With that, good luck, everyone! I hope these numbers serve to help some players out :d

2023.06.07 02:19 maxsommers CNN Review: I hated 'The Little Mermaid' (i.e. why the pandering is never, ever, ever enough....)
The
title of this one intrigued me enough to give it a read, and to my complete shock
/s it seems that Disney's '''progressive''' pandering in their recent output
still isn't good enough for some of the people they're actively courting.
"The Little Mermaid" live action may have racial representation, changed plot points and song lyrics, but it's still problematic, sexist, and promoting violence and patriarchy, apparently.
The review in question:
Disney’s 1989 “The Little Mermaid” was at once a masterpiece of the brand and a somewhat cringey retelling of a very dark Hans Christian Andersen tale. The story of a mermaid who gives up her voice to be with the man of her dreams, it falls neatly into the Disney canon of plucky, curious teenage women, whose pluck and curiosity mostly end up leading them into early marriage. But it’s also a ton of fun, with a dazzling Howard Ashman/Alan Menken score, an iconic villain in Ursula whose look was inspired by the drag queen Divine and a hilariously menacing sequence about cooking fish.
Disney’s had decades to think about how to update “The Little Mermaid” for new generations of viewers. Which makes the dour, overlong, dimly-lit and still pretty sexist product they’ve just released completely baffling.
They’ve jettisoned the fish song, “Les Poissons,” purportedly deeming it too cartoonish (what?) but given a dull musical number to Prince Eric (Jonah Hauer-King). They’ve obscured the great Melissa McCarthy, playing Ursula, in a murk of bottom-of-the-ocean “natural light.” And they’ve retained the central plot, which confers happy-ending approval on a young woman making bodily-harming sacrifices in order to get the guy. Seriously?
I can report that the children in my small-town movie theater were checked-out at best. More than one kid was wandering among the aisles by the time we passed the 90-minute mark of the 135-minute affair, which begs the question: Who, exactly, is this movie for? Why does it exist?
This latest chapter in Disney’s never-ending quest to impose all of its hits on us again, in live-action format, is a profound miscalculation on almost every level, especially about how to revisit a beloved animated property that boasts some pretty problematic themes.
This feels lousy to say, because I was rooting for a huge success to follow the noxious backlash to the trailer last year: Some people apparently couldn’t handle the audacity of reinventing a cartoon character as a Black actress. But star Halle Bailey, in the role of Ariel, has nothing to apologize for: She’s the best thing about this movie. Unfortunately, that’s faint praise.
A lot of ink and pixels have testified to the value of Black children and their moms being able to see themselves in a Disney heroine, and that’s a powerfully admirable goal – as well as a long-overdue one, given the brand’s still overwhelmingly White majority of characters.
Unfortunately, director Rob Marshall’s approach sets a tone of violence at the beginning, rather than inspiration. The film kicks off with a sequence in which the crew of Prince Eric’s trade ship lean and leer over the edge, throwing harpoons at something in the water. A whale? A mermaid? It’s never quite clear, but the bloodlust certainly is. I can’t believe the kids in my screening had imagined a movie called “The Little Mermaid” beginning this way. Yikes.
Then there’s the running time: Two hours and fifteen minutes. The original was an hour twenty-three. The time expansion is such a comically bad decision, I still can’t get my head around it. Nothing little kids like more than sitting still for over two hours! Most recent Disney remakes have kept it at least under the two-hour mark, with the exception of 2017’s “Beauty and the Beast” and 2021’s “Cruella,” both of which were, at least, livelier than this one.
Everywhere you look, a detail about the movie has been slightly altered, but most end up being empty gestures rather than meaningful updates. For example, King Triton (Javier Bardem, who mostly looks bored) still has a bunch of adoring daughters who follow his every command, except now they’re a rainbow of ethnic diversity. So what’s the message here: diversity is good as long as patriarchy remains intact?
When Bailey’s Ariel gives up her voice in exchange for a human body, with three days to kiss the prince, she’s also given amnesia about the kiss part – which handily removes the fun from the original film of having her be an active participant in trying to get the smooch. And in this iteration of Ursula’s show-stopping number “Poor Unfortunate Souls,” they’ve removed the lines in which she smacks down Ariel’s doubts about losing her voice: “The men up there don’t like a lot of blabber. They think a girl who gossips is a bore. Come on, they’re not all that impressed with conversation. True gentlemen avoid it when they can! But they dote and swoon and fawn on a lady who’s withdrawn, it’s she who holds her tongue who gets a man!”
As Alex Abad-Santos of Vox tweeted, it’s “quite literally the best part of the entire song that crystallizes cynical Ursula’s worldview and, at the same time, shows us how she’s tricking Ariel.” Menken has said the change was made because the lines “might make young girls somehow feel that they shouldn’t speak out of turn,” which feels fairly patronizing; in my experience, kids are very good at knowing not to take a cartoon villain’s advice at face value.
That’s gone, but Lin-Manuel Miranda has added some new music, notably a rap song for Awkwafina as the seagull Scuttle, a number which is brief but so tonally different it brings the scene to a screeching halt. If there’s one unifying quality to all of these tweaks, it’s that they aren’t going to convince any of the 1989 movie’s fans that this one is worth their time or money.
More broadly, Disney’s painted the movie with the broad brush of corporate studios’ vision for What We Think Will Put Butts in Seats, which consists mostly of gloomy, under-lighted visuals (which audiences are, in reality, very tired of) and extensive action scenes. The 11th-hour standoff in which McCarthy’s Ursula grows to Godzilla proportions is so very dark here that you can barely see her, which begs the question of how much bad CGI they’re trying to cover up.
As Hollywood continues to wring its hands about the decline of moviegoing, “The Little Mermaid” doesn’t feel like it’s going to be an asset in that fight – let alone inspire many repeat viewings. (I imagine any parent who’s known the earworm of “Let It Go” from “Frozen” will know this is damning indeed.) Maybe a cool reception will inspire a little more introspection for Disney before next spring’s release of the next remake: “Snow White.” What could go wrong?
I feel like I've seen a few examples of this in recent times, like they're
almost close to getting it (beyond the obvious flaws like the crappy CG) but they're ideological tunnel vision is preventing them from seeing the forest for the trees, so to speak.
And meanwhile we continue to be baffled as to why Disney and so many others are pandering to this crowd when they will
never be satisfied...

2023.06.07 02:18 Intel81994 Crypto Ruined My Life and Career - Why I Became ANTI Crypto
Crypto user since 2014, not a noob. Started working in crypto in 2021 professionally - PIVOTED career to industry.
Worked for a major financial publishing firm (publicly traded) covering crypto for investment research.
Got most of my savings hacked via a crazy computer intrusion, Feds got involved, couldn't help, mental health went to complete shit, VERY dark days, almost 6 figures stolen.
Found out it was a vulnerability in a certain wallet that led to a data breach of my computer (not phishing like usually how people get hacked), but the amount stolen is apparently too small for attorneys to even take the case or try to prove.
To this day, no updates on the funds from the Feds.
Had heavy depression and even more fucked up at times. As you can imagine, if someone like me who is sophisticated can get hacked and completely lose it all with ZERO recourse, this ruined my entire idea of the industry and thereby fucked my career up mentally as I could hardly work in crypto without having PTSD.
I was in hell, had to sell my car to survive and pay rent.
Then, 2022 happened. Luckily I was too mentally screwed up to buy any crypto since 2021 so I stayed out of the market with any buys. The people in my firm kept shilling crypto and buying themselves...
Voyager went belly up, lost more there that I had stored but not a huge deal wasn't too much, only 6k or so and may get half back it looks like. Oh well, my fault. But they lied about FDIC insurance.
Luckily avoided FTX save for $500 dollars worth. Now saw the Atomic wallet hack this weekend... sad but obvious it was bound to happen. Not affected luckily. Many more such hacks and exit scams may be coming as market gets worse and macro stays bad.
To prevent my hack I would literally have had to have a compsci PhD from Stanford and then cybersecurity training. What the fuck?
And we want mass adoption and everyone to put their 401k into self custody crypto? There is a reason we use custodians, with armed guards, and insurance, and regulation.
Then, lost my job in the industry 3 months ago due to the market being shit and rate hikes. Saw it coming. But I didn't realize that being affiliated with crypto must be some sort of black mark on my resume?
Tech industry feels bad for me, the finance industry thinks it's a cute joke. Worse than being affiliated with Lehman Brothers or working in porn industry.
No one tells you hey kid, there is a serious career risk/political risk/person risk (kidnapping/violence) of working in crypto industry - but there is . It's clear where things are heading.
Maybe DOJ charges against Binance next. I interviewed with Binance last year when I was applying around. Also with Coinbase. Maybe dodged a bullet.
Can’t take the risk now. Unfortunately looks like industry US stateside has contracted sharply due to macro, layoffs likely to get worse, regulatory pressures - have to pivot industries in this economic environment.
Unfortunately my experience has shown me that crypto is mostly useless now except for crimes and actually it’s a major security risk for everyone / national security. Imagine if people across the country get mass hacked what that does for society.
Speculation is net negative for society. Meanwhile let's recount what good has crypto led do besides a few remittances and refugees being able to carry funds?
I don't know what to do to get my funds back since it's been over 1.5 yrs, this vulnerability was covered in the press so I could try to ask the wallet company to compensate my 75K + the 15K I spent in therapy from being so fucked up over it.
I think this incident caused some form of PTSD and there is zero mental health help for it. It's enough to destroy lives and could have killed me.
Not because it's much money long term, I've heard of people who lost far more but there is something extremely intrusive about a computer intrusion hack and never being able to trust anything.
I feel OCD compulsion to check all bank accounts multiple times a day and have flashbacks still and sometimes nightmares, no idea what to do to get past this. It's taking an extreme toll on my mental health still.
Honestly it's caused me to hate crypto. I now plan to write to my senators to ban it ASAP and I will get compensated one day for this + many more thousands of dollars for the mental anguish + therapy costs + lost time and wages.
If this sort of thing were to happen to others - some would either kill themselves or we'd have society wide turmoil. I wonder how many people offed themselves after FTX and Luna. Or Atomic. It doesn't deserve mass adoption in its current form - no way.
Funny that Coinbase thinks US not allowing crypto is a national security concern. I believe crypto is a legit national security concern.
Before someone victim blames me for exposing seeds or not using a hardware wallet (I have one, it was fine, my exchange accounts were fine).... FYI Metamask was caught storing seeds on the local drive and exposing them plenty of times.
This wasn't some DeFi rug pull or me being a degen. It was pure intrusion caused by a vulnerability in the wallet, it's a double felony as per DOJ to do that to a computer. No one deserves nor should expect to have an INTRUSION. Getting phished is very different and somewhat worthy of shaming someone for being a dumbass.
Now I have to pivot industries to survive, if I somehow land a crypto role now I would probably get laid off again because rates are staying higher for longer and I believe more dominoes will continue to fall for a while, and I can't afford another layoff anytime soon, due to this.
Honestly at this point IMO you have to be mentally ill to keep buying crypto. UST's yielding almost 6%, corporate bonds almost 12%, not to mention the capital gains in bonds one can get when rates drop.... why would you keep buying crypto? Yield is a function of risk, never forget.
Oh not to mention your bonds and stocks won't get hacked. And if they do, you're insured (SPIC).
I don't care what I have to do, if it's get the press to talk about my hack, or get CFPB to act, or DOJ. I don't give a shit.
I went to a top public US uni, am extremely hard working and sharp, and there is no reason I should be in this position in my late 20s due to this shitstain industry full of grifters and criminals.
P.s. To NFT grifters or influencers making shitcoins to rug people: AI (decreasing cost of compute, labor) + advancing forensics/ KYC + immutable public ledger aka blockchain will make it possible to retroactively charge criminals for billions of years. Most low IQ move ever. Better to raise $ off the blockchain and flee to Dubai.
Ironically, to commit crypto crime today, you have to be so bearish on tech/ the future to think you won't ever get caught. Definition of spazzed out short term thinking TikTok brain.

2023.06.07 02:17 eatsleepconcrete My body feels like it’s in limbo.
Just as the title suggests, I feel like I’m stuck in a state of limbo.
I’ve been with my fiancé for a year now and I love this man. I cannot begin with how much he means to me. Emotionally, he is perfect. He loves me so truly and I know he wants my happiness more than anything, including his own.
Physically, I don’t know what’s wrong with me. He was my first and I know in my heart he’ll be my last, something I’m perfectly happy with. If only I could orgasm, then I’d be euphoric.
When we first started being sexually active, I wanted it all the time. We’d go at it like rabbits until I was in actual pain from how often we’d go in a day. But, I wanted more. My sex drive was at an all time high and not once during those encounters did I orgasm.
The honeymoon phase slowed down into maybe once every other day, and it… I don’t know. Bothered me? He knows my drive is high, but he works very hard with his job, so I can’t fault him for being tired some nights.
When we do have sex, it’s usually a bit rushed into and I’ve had to warn him that he can’t just “put it in”, or else it hurts me, badly. He attempted to remedy this by giving me more oral, something I struggle highly with because it doesn’t… do anything. There’s no build, no anything. What’s worse is when I try to guide him I don’t know how because there’s nothing I can point out as “keep doing that” or “don’t do that.”
Yet, I do like when he does it. It turns me on that he’s willing to make the effort but I get so frustrated that it’s not going anywhere that I tell him to stop and move on.
I want to make it clear that I do enjoy sex with him. The act is more important to me and I love the intimacy it brings us. I can get wet on my own and I do experience arousal but if I so much as attempt to touch myself or look him in the eye, I can’t do it.
When I try on my own, when he’s not around, I can get off fairly easy, playing some little romantic sexy fantasy in my head that takes me like three minutes to finish. But, when he’s in the room, I take longer. It’s harder to focus. He’ll try to touch my leg or something and it throws me off, making me literally fight to get there. Sometimes I just give up. I no longer see my orgasms as worth it. I used to get off regularly (when single), nearly every night, and now… maybe once every couple months? Weeks if I’m lucky.
I am restating, he does try. This isn’t a case of “no effort, no outcome”. I just… I’m so broken from my own past experiences that I now feel like my own pleasure is exhausting. And it’s making me feel so stuck and empty.
We’ve tried everything. Toys, hours of exposure therapy, oral, guiding him myself, I just can’t. It’s like my body gives me just enough fuel to begin the act but breaks down at the starting line.

2023.06.07 01:53 krpfine What can a vegan eat & would meal pass be worth it?
Going to the park this Saturday for a friend's birthday. My girlfriend is vegan. I looked on the website and it says there are only 4 places with vegan options. Does any anybody know what they have for vegans? I can't find any good information. I'm also trying to convince her to get the $42 Premium All Day Dining with me because I think it's worth it to be able to try more things and you get drinks (non alcoholic) all day. We're not big riders so we want to have fun eating and walking around. I don't know how much food and drinks (non alcoholic) cost, but I have to think $42 per person will probably pay for itself. She's worried that she won't eat that much, but I think she could try more vegan stuff especially if I use mine on vegan food too knowing I can get that BBQ in 90 minutes, haha.

2023.06.07 01:43 tabatot Advice needed - choosing between 2 good companies
Can't choose between 2 companies
Hi guys! Sorry for the long post but Just wanted to get your opinion or advice. I am currently torn between 2 choices right now.
I am currently 28yo, single and currently employed under Company Day but was previously employed under Company Night. I am renting a place in Makati for 13k/mo includes parking and I spend around 4k on Gas. I had the junior role under Company Night which was about 6k less than what their offering now on the senior role.
I received an offer from my old boss from Company Night for a senior role, very similar role from what I did. Now, I enjoyed it but I enjoy my current work but the thing is, Company Day is full RTO while Company Night is only 2x RTO per week. Base pay from Company Night is lower vs Company Day. Below are the details:
1) Company Day
Compensation
- Base Pay: 66,XXX/mo
- Net: 54,XXX/mo
- Allowance(s): 650/mo non-taxable
- Monthly Total Take Home: 55,XXX/mo
- Yearly Benefits: Medicine & 13th month
- Annual Total: 773,XXX/yr
- Leaves: 12 per year available only after regularization
- Insurance: 160,XXX
- Follows PH Holidays
Culture
- Pinoy Culture, vertical management
- Blaming culture is present. No investigation whatsoever for any mistakes
- OT is expected but I dont do OT
- Career-growth is sort of hard because management most of the time doesn't allow internal movements due to staffing problems
- Very laid back in the morning but sometimes hassle in the afternoon. Pinoy time culture.
NO WORK FROM HOME.
DAYSHIFT - No issue working with day.
2) Company Night
Compensation
- Base Pay: 56,XXX/mo
- Net: 55,XXX/mo (with Night Shift Premium)
- Allowance(s): 8,XXX/mo non-taxable
- Monthly Total Take Home: 64,XXX/mo
- Yearly Benefits: Medicine, Xmas Gift, 13th month
- Annual Totl: 841,XXX/yr
- Leaves: 15 per year available immediately
- Insurance: 250,XXX
- Follows US Holidays (Approval to have day off on PH holidays)
Culture
- American/Western Culture, horizontal type of management
- Investigation culture is highly regarded to prevent mistakes from happening again
- OT is sometimes unavoidable but not encouraged. Most people time-in and time-out on time and doesnt work outside of working hours.
- Career-growth opportunity is immense. One can get hired internally to other business units and can sometimes be exposed to international projects/roles
- Very strict in time-in, time-out, break schedules.
- High importance on office related repetitive injuries
WORK FROM HOME 3x and RTO 2x per week
NIGHTSHIFT - Okay working 10PM to 7AM shift.
BURNING QUESTIONS IN MY HEAD...
Is the 14K monthly net difference worth the night shift? Or should I stay in Company Day? I've got good friends from both Companies and I enjoy working in both. Should I be practical and get the higher take home pay + less expenses due to WFH? Is taking a dip in the Base Pay really worth it considering its a night shift?

2023.06.07 00:53 SpideyFan914 I Just Caught Up on ASM: A Rant
Really, I just need to rant. I know most of this is old news now. But no one I know IRL reads these comics, so I gotta let it out somewhere...
I tend to binge comics every so often instead of reading month-to-month, as I find it easier to keep up that way (and single issues are no longer substantial enough to feel worth it honestly). So I last left off after Spencer's run. Read Beyond in two days, and then Wells' run (including most Dark Web tie-ins) in another two days.
So, first off...
BEYOND
I didn't hate this actually. There are times when it's a bit dull. I wanted more of a focus on Ben and Janine's daily life, but the story was primarily interested in plot plot plot. Even then, Ben's personality shines through and I really liked him for most of it.
The villains were pretty lousy. Doc Ock and Aunt May teaming up did not work at all, I'm sorry. I just don't buy that Aunt May would do that (and also I keep forgetting that she no longer knows Peter is Spider-Man, like I could've sworn she found out again at some point).
Queen Goblin is okay though, and I like that they play up the therapy angle here. The whole "Norman's Sins" thing is weird magic mumbo-jumbo, but if you just swap it around and use some basic science experimentation / brainwashing instead, it would work pretty well.
Benching Peter was ballsy and done in a pretty lame way. It doesn't really make sense he'd be in a regular hospital to be honest, like they should've figured out he was Spider-Man from every blood test. But at least they didn't pretend to kill him off or whatever.
Ben ultimately losing his memories... was an interesting idea for an issue or two.
Anyway, Janine is my favorite character for some reason. I've never heard of her before this (I thought she was an MJ clone for a minute). I understand she had a few appearances back in the 90s, probably in the Clone Saga. (I've read most of Spider-Man history, but the 90s Clone Saga is my biggest blind spot. Too many crossovers which I didn't have access to when I read all of ASM as a kid, so I just skipped it rather than stopping. Then as an adult when I did get access to those other books and read them up to the Clone Saga... I just didn't have the patience haha. I'll get back to it one of these days.) But yeah, Janine kicks ass here. I love the internal conflict, the genuine devotion to Ben, the willingness to throw down when shit hits the fan... She's great.
The best though was the single one-shot when Peter fights some weird demon thing in the hospital. It made no sense and came out of nowhere and I'm still not sure why it happened. But it was cool and the art was good and I like horror stuff, so that was neat.
Okay, main event...
ZEB WELLS AMAZING SPIDER-MAN
THE GOOD
I'm not above being able to compliment some things.
I like how he wrote Tombstone. Tombstone's plan to make Spider-Man beat up Rose for him is surprisingly solid and a well-done twist.
I also like Vulture's brief appearance, and how vicious he is. I'm a Vulture stan, and hate it when people treat him like a joke. So it's nice to see someone recognize just how terrifying and ruthless Vulture can actually be.
Hobgoblins... are okay. He kinda neutered Kingsley, but it's fun seeing Ned get brainwashed again.
Um, let's see, there's some other positive...
Black Cat shines throughout. I did not need Peter and Felicia to get back together, but at least I buy it when it happens. Even aside from that though, she does feel like an actual character in both this and Beyond, and not just Peter's ex who writers don't know what to do with.
Uh, the Celestial Gwen bit was interesting... I don't know how the main event is, but for a tie-in this was an interesting idea. The execution was kinda lackluster though. Like Peter sees Gwen and just acts like a good guy, and she approves, and that's it. It's not really surprising and doesn't say anything interesting about the character that isn't obvious. And then "bringing her back" for five seconds... I don't know how I feel about that, kinda weird... I wish Peter had stood up for humanity in general, instead of just showing how he's a good guy. Like, he should've told the Celestial to bugger off, and let it know that it is the villain here. It's weird that he doesn't defend humanity at all. Even his own good actions feel weirdly filtered through the need to impress a Celestial, which is just weird.
Hmm, that wound up being more of a bad than a good...
Oh yeah, there was that Living Brain story for the 60th anniversary. I like the idea of that story. Again, it kinda flopped in execution, coming off more as a parody than anything. Peter's friends definitely should've realized he's Spider-Man. And all the villains are so... odd. It's a parody that isn't funny, even though the idea is decent. Ock doesn't even reference that the Living Brain was once his minion! (Does he remember that?)
Okay, that was more negative as well... Okay.....
THE BAD
I'll start small. In that Tombstone story, there's a scene where Tombstone kidnaps Peter (not Spider-Man), and Peter jokes and makes fun of him, and then Tombstone goes, "You're weird." Tombstone should've figured out he's Spider-Man. I swear, I thought that was about to happen. Peter is not acting like a regular person, and Tombstone's not a goddamn idiot. I was waiting for him to be like, "Oh, it's you. You're Spider-Man. Good to know." That could've been a great moment, Peter's own loud mouth outing his identity, but naa...
Also, though Wells gets Tomby and writes him okay, Wells also dunks on my boy Richard Fisk. Why has no one taken Rose seriously since the 80s? He was such a great character back then. Now he's just another mobster. Has Wells even read those stories? He must have, since he uses Hobgoblin a bunch, and all those things were happening at the same time. Sigh...
Nothing with Norman works at all. I mean, look, I get it, this was a thing Spencer did. And it didn't work then either. And I do respect that they're actually exploring the concept and trying to make something out of it. But it just fundamentally doesn't work. When Ock became Superior, it worked because he still read like Otto. But this Norman... this isn't Norman. This is a new character who so happens to look like Norman and technically has his past. But it's just... not Norman.
While I'm at it... since I did read that Gold Goblin series as well.... Queen Goblin immediately loses all the intrigue she had in Beyond when she goes up against Norman. This just emphasizes the "Sins" thing, which is too woo-woo magical to make any sense or feel real or tangible at all. The stakes are unclear. It just doesn't work.
(On the other hand, the Mary Jane & Black Cat series is the most fun I had during all of this. Like, the plot is nonsense and it's a bit tied into the Paul stuff to really be recommend-able... but the writers there made the most of the shitty stuff they'd been handed and wrote a fun five issues. Good art too. S'ym is great.)
Oh yeah, the art is terrible. I'm not a JRJR hater -- he's hit-or-miss, for the most part. His work on Daredevil in the 80s is brilliant, and his Mephisto redesign is excellent, the only Mephisto that really feels like some otherworldly Eldritch horror. But this run... this is JRJR at his absolute worst. It's not good art.
THE DARK WEB
Okay, so... Like Beyond, I didn't hate this. I didn't like it much either, but it had its moments.
Rek-Rap is great. Just... just everything about Rek-Rap.
I like all the X-Men tie-ins too. In Dark Web, I mean. That one-shot issue shortly before Dark Web where fights Moira or... or whatever that was... That was dog poop nonsense boring shrug. But Dark Web has fun ideas that organically incorporate the X-Men.
I mean, it's really weird that you have a story where Goblin Queen and Queen Goblin are running around at the same time... They, uh, probably should have found a different name for Queen Goblin....... Can she just be the new Red Goblin, since the old one isn't coming back anytime soon? Or a new Menace? This is such a weird naming thing, and letting Peter (or was it Ben?) make a joke about it did not assuage that confusion...
But yeah, teaming up the two most iconic Marvel clones is such a natural move that built for some good drama, even if that drama is built on, um, completely character assassinating Ben...
Okay, here's a positive: the Chasm suit is cool. It's a good suit. I like the suit.
But holy hell Ben (literally?), this is waaaaaay off the deep end. Remember that time in the 60s when Peter lost his memories and teamed up with Doc Ock, but at the end he came to his senses before getting his memories back, because he's inherently a good person and knew this wasn't right? Why can't Ben get that treatment? I mean, okay, I guess he didn't just lose his Uncle Ben memories, but also kept a bunch of traumatic ones... except, apparently, he still forgot about getting killed and resurrected twenty-something times. I thiiiiiink that one's gone too... So he lost his most traumatic memories as well... So he really just has the, uh... mid-memories?
I like when Jean helps Madelyne. That was a good moment. Just gives her memories back, and then Madelyne helps them. Well done. Love it.
So, um, she can totally do that for Ben too right? Like, she's an omega-level mutant and just showed that she has this ability? Why didn't they just do that again? It's not like Peter would've been against it. Really doesn't make sense.... Heck, they could still do this. Ben is right there. Just... just ask Jean to give him his memories back. It's that easy.
Janine still rocks. I love the bit when she almost runs away, but gets recognized, and then comes back more committed to Ben than ever. Janine is an awesome character.
It's funny that there are like five redheaded women in this story, and they're all drawn exactly the same.
THE PAUL...
So...
That was stupid.
This most recent arc literally opens with a note from Nick Lowe, promising that they all really do care about these characters. See that, guys! They do care! Don't mind everything you're about to read, they promised us that they care! Not sus at all...
Making this whole thing a flashback was stupid. Like, there's this whole mystery box storyline... Then when you get to the reveal, it's just 90% an extended flashback, because there isn't really a good way to tie it into present day. It's almost like they should've just done this chronologically to begin with. None of their teases actually made me care. It's all just shallow "hype." (I mean they wanted it to be hype, but I wasn't hyped, so... Like I said, shallow.)
Who the hell is this villain? From the editor's notes, I've definitely read the story arc where he first appeared. I do not remember it. I do not remember him. He is so beyond forgettable that my brain hasn't even stored him as a footnote.
And he isn't fleshed out here either... Most of the time, I was just confused by who he is and what he wants. I'm not even sure how many of these villains there were. Are Rabin and the God the same? Wait, is Rabin the bearded guy? I think they said Rabin was someone else, Paul's dad or whatever... I don't know, I couldn't really follow it. It feels like remembering that forgettable story from Brand New Day era is essential to understanding this one, and I just... I don't. Bring back Freak. Bring back Paper Doll. Those guys I remember, not well but they were fun enough and had cool powers. But this guy? Who the hell is this guy? (And is it racist? It feels racist.)
At least set up the Mayan stuff earlier in the run... Like, with all the mystery box teasing, they didn't actually tease anything. Spider-Man vs Mayan Gods? That's your big story? That feels like something the 60s cartoon would've tackled in its weaker seasons...
Oh, and they Amy Ponded MJ. That was just dumb. This is the kind of random scifi poop that has nothing to do with reality. Good scifi challenges characters and forces them to reveal character in a way that relates back to the real world. Like Into the Spider-Verse uses Peter B Parker to mentor Miles and has both characters grow. The glitching rule is added in so that Miles will have to be the one to stay, so that it can remain fundamentally his story without snapping away the problems by having the more experienced Spider-Men do all the work. Or that Amy Pond story I referenced -- that's an amazing episode of Doctor Who (Season 5, "The Girl Who Waited," strongly recommend), because it challenges the Doctor's readiness to play with the timestream and bring along a string of companions, and it also challenges Amy's readiness to trust the Doctor and assume he always has everything under control. It feels organic to the larger scifi rules in play, and reveals a ton about both characters, with this tragic underpinning that is earned and emotional.
But this? This is just more pettiness. This is just the Spider-Man team not caring about the character (no matter what Nick Lowe says) and wanting to mess things up with MJ... because reasons. It doesn't tell us anything about Peter or MJ that we didn't already know. Heck, they don't even feel in character half the time. Or rather, MJ doesn't really feel like a character at all.
There's this one part where The MJ Who Didn't Wait and Paul get super bulk and Terminator-y during the flashbacks... and then like a page later they're normal sized again. What was that about?
The whole thing is also rushed, not that I wanted them to stretch this out any longer. None of the beats in the MJ flashbacks are fleshed out at all. We're watching a snippets montage of some story we'll never read. We don't get connected to any of the events.
I felt nothing when the kids vanished. I felt nothing when freaking Mary Jane Watson was stabbed to death. And I felt nothing when it was revealed to not be MJ but Kamala. Like, these are characters I traditionally care a lot about... and I just feel nothing and don't care what happens to them in these stories.
That Kamala Khan bait-and-switch? Damn, that was trash writing. I'm not up to date on Kamala's books either (I haven't been since Wilson left -- couldn't get into the following run). But to kill her off in someone else's book??? With none of her supporting cast, none of her villains, heck not even a real Spider-Man villain for that matter... (Again, who the hell is this stupid boring Mayan God guy? What is actually at stake right now? Does he have a personality? Motivation? Is he a racist concept? I'm still not clear on these things.) Kamala "dies" in the dumbest way possible. Well done, Mr. Wells. You aimed to write an incredibly stupid book, and you succeeded.
Heck, Kamala wasn't even a character in this arc. The last time I recall seeing her was during Dark Web. She isn't in ASM 21-25. She just shows up in #26... to die. That's so stupid. This character deserves more than that.
Also, MJ deserves more than this.
Peter deserves more than this.
Heck, even that Mayan guy deserves more than this. At least give him a personality.
IN CONCLUSION...
If any of you actually read all this... uh, I'm sorry? I just needed to vent and mark down some thoughts. Curious on other people's thoughts. I mean, I think I know most of them (I don't live under a rock and did have some spoilers going into all this).
Can we please just retcon all this already? Just do some time travel shenanigans and pull in MJ from before all of this. It worked for Doctor Who.

2023.06.07 00:29 FrownedUponComment Most pure beta male of 90 day fiancé?
2023.06.06 23:54 DeadlyHarvest Rachel Drori estimated net worth of $350m? Husband Avi Drori, Z'ev Drori father.
Rachel Drori (nee Bobnow) had a net worth of $350m prior to the Daily Harvest poisoning. On June 1st, 2023, Forbes published an article on the wealthiest women in the U.S.
https://www.forbes.com/sites/gigizamora/2023/06/01/kylie-jenner-rihanna-and-the-other-richest-self-made-women-under-40/?sh=3acbb02563c9 "Daily Harvest founder Rachel Drori was worth $350 million last year as a newcomer based on the $1.1 billion valuation by private investors of her meal delivery company. A June 2022 recall of its Lentil & Leek Crumbles bruised the company’s sales and helped knock down
Forbes’ estimate of the company’s value, along with lower comparable public company valuations"
Assuming the valuation was cut in half, this would put her net worth at $175m, not counting any money she made prior, her husband's wealth, and what her and her husband will inherit. A video of their wedding, which probably costs more than what most victims of the poisoning make in 5 years, can be seen here:
https://www.dailymotion.com/video/x4049ua Her husband, Avi Drori, also attended Columbia b-school. While there, in a published article dated November 2008 in the CB letter, Drori posited a thesis where Marvel Entertainment stock should be shorted (make a bet the stock will go down) and it is worth $18.
Cue the circus music. A year later, Disney acquired Marvel for $50 per share.
https://www.nytimes.com/2009/09/01/business/media/01disney.html
Amazing acquisition, returning $18b in movie revenue alone in the next ten years.
https://comicbook.com/marvel/news/disney-has-made-18-billion-since-marvel-purchase-2009/
Does it matter that Avi may or may not be a good investor? No. Avi could never work a day in his life and will still be one of the wealthiest men in the U.S. (even if he divorced his wife.) Avi is a trust fund baby but not just any trust fund baby. Avi's father is Z'ev Drori, the former CEO of Tesla and he sold his company Monolithic Memories was purchased by AMD for $437m in 1987. His Beverly Hills home alone is worth $30 million! Whatever his wealth was then, it is safe to say this smart man tripled it over the last 35 years. And that money is likely going to be split by two people, one of whom is Rachel's husband.
Article on Zev Drori as Tesla CEO
https://www.autoblog.com/2007/11/28/breaking-tesla-names-zeev-drori-as-new-permanent-ceo/ Why is this important? Is this a bad thing?
No, it's not a bad thing. It's a good thing that someone was able to create a company, then sell it and buy a massive home. It's impressive Rachel was able to build a food company all online and create mega wealth. But despite being wealthy prior to Daily Harvest (her name is connected to a expensive property in Manhattan) and despite the fact that her and her husband will inherit maybe hundreds of millions, Rachel is an a-hole. She lacks integrity and is not a good person, her actions demonstrate that.
She does have a chance to do right by everyone. I propose Rachel creates a $20m fund to pay for ongoing medical tests, research, and monitoring of all the victims using her personal wealth. Her father in law could kick in half this money. To put it in perspective, at Rachel's age, even if she only nets $150m from the sale of Daily Harvest, an inheritance of $100m, and this doubles every ten years, Rachel and her husband will have a combined net worth of $1b by 60 to 63 years old. She will be a billionaire while it is possible that victims have long lasting effects. We will need testing, blood work, exams, etc for years to come. She can pay annually $4m over 5 years. The interest she can make just in a 5% CD on her fortune pays for it in less than a year.

2023.06.06 23:13 OrderflowTrader ES Trading Plan for 6/7/23
| I share my plan for educational purposes and not as trade recommendations or ideas. Recap: In the plan for today’s trading session, I wrote that “Bulls can show their intentions (and strength) by keeping the market outside of the black expanding range above 4287.” My lone trade of the day came from a short of the black structure highs at 4287 on the first failure this morning. It’s always worth knowing if and when the odds favor consolidation/chop, and when that’s the case, I adjust my targets some. Balance/Trend: After flagging for a couple of days now (from the latter portion of Friday’s session through today), bulls returned today and pushed the market higher to close the session above the black structure that defines the expanding range. Considering that the market has fully backtested it and moved away, I effectively consider the structure to be invalidated and this to be a technical breakout. It doesn’t mean that it can’t still fail, but that’s my general outlook. Analysis: The market is currently in a post-rally consolidation phase which effectively amounts to a bull flag, and trading in times of consolidation is typically marked by random, choppy activity. Case in point: Today’s action began with a brief attempt to move lower outside of yesterday’s range, rechecking the poor low left on the profile at 4272, rallying 20 points, liquidating longs, rallying ~16 points, and then liquidating only to rally 20 points again. Plan - With the breakout from the black structure, support now rests at 4290 and stronger buyers will not allow the market to move back inside of the multi month expanding range
- Note: I would consider extending this support level lower to about 4283 for a broad support range. Retesting this level means a test down to the bull flag highs, another structure buyers would ideally defend
- If the market does break back into the “flag”, I would watch 4262 for support
- The market’s breakout last week broke free from a long-term balance zone that went up to 4243, which was also the previous 2023 high. If this area gets revisited, it would likely fill the gap that opened up on Friday down to 4240, and I would play these levels together for confirmation for long trades, potentially even as low as 4232
- Finally, moving back into the balance zone opens up the possibility that the market moves lower to repair poor structure from Thursday. This begins at 4219, which I would treat as a pivot (longs above, shorts below)
- Other potential support levels are 4204 (aqua trendline), 4192, 4177, 4165, 4122, and the gap from 4098-4111
- I am still considering 4305 resistance, though having been tested already it’s now weakened
- The next potential resistance level I am watching is 4317, a pocket of liquidity from 2022. I mentioned this previously, but I would be on the lookout for price acceptance here as opposed to price rejection, which would keep me out of the wrong trade
- Higher up, I will watch for potentially strong resistance at 4343, though with a break through of this level providing the potential for a move through the better part of the 4300s before the next resistance levels at 4384-90

2023.06.06 23:12 danktank_sublime How To Enjoy Marvel Snap
I posted this as a long comment in a big thread, but thought it might resonate with a wider audience....
I really, really enjoy Marvel Snap. It's the first mobile game I've ever played consistently. I am pretty shocked by the overall tenor of players on Reddit. Every announcement and update seems to be their "last straw" for their bad experiences with the game. I know, I know... vocal minority, but some of you REALLY seem to not have a good experience with the game? I find it puzzling. So want to share my experience, which is overwhelmingly positive, and maybe we can see what our similarities and differences are?
Here's How I Enjoy Marvel Snap:
I started playing during the Black Panther season, and I play only on mobile. I spend $10/mo on the Season Pass because I like the additional rewards. I chose to start buying the season pass in Silver Surfer season because I was playing daily so it really felt like the exchange was worthwhile. That said, I do not spend any additional money to get more gold or tokens or any special variant packages or whatever. I just slowly accumulate gold through gameplay to purchase cool variants when I get enough.
I am CL4700, and Series 3 complete. I probably play on average 30 matches a day, I'm guessing?Maybe more some days if all we are doing is laying around with our phones out or I have a long commute that day?
All cards acquired since I began playing were through opening Collector's Reserve boxes as I climb through the CL. I don't save the Reserves for specific updates or new seasons, I open everything as I go, and my primary focus is collecting credits by completing my dailies and upgrading cards to increase CL and open more reserves. I am indifferent to upgrading my cards for specific borders or trying to get splits, I actually usually stop at Legendary or Ultra for most cards and focus on upgrading new cards and variants. I am focused entirely on upgrading cards not for aesthetic reasons, but to increase my collection level and open more reserve boxes.
I initially spent gold on buying new missions when I first started playing, because I wanted to move up the CL faster and get the chance to pull a new card, but the past few seasons I've reached enough cards to save gold for variants.
I've never spent actual money on to get to a card (outside of my monthly subscription). Cards I am missing are High Evo, Howard, Iron Lad, Kang, Negasonic, Shanna, Stegron, Thanos, Living Tribunal.
I didn't really "get" the tokens aspect when they first rolled it out so I used my first tokens on some dumb series 3/4 cards, but have since used tokens, once accumulated, on Wong, Galactus, and just yesterday I finally got to 6000 and grabbed Jeff.
I have never made it to Infinite. I always get to at least 60 and I've made 90 once. I am not disciplined on snapping and retreating, I pretty much always play out the hand unless I'm for sure gonna lose badly, so I swing wildly from 50s to 80s week after week. I don't care about infinite and it's never a goal for me. I treat 60 as Infinite, and get my variant, and throughout my climb I just play different decks that I'm in the mood for. Or if I see a cool deck I want to try or iterate on. Or make new decks to fit the hot location.
I am assuming that the quiet majority who enjoy this game play like me?
I have no complaints about my 10 bucks a month...it feels totally worth it for the amount of time I find myself picking up my phone and playing the game. I only vaguely pay attention to series drops and I don't really understand why others do except for perhaps because of FOMO about missing cards? I don't pay attention to the buffs or nerfs, and usually don't even notice them until I go to play a card and something has changed. The accumulation of cards doesn't feel slow to me, but perhaps because I play so casually?
I don't know if this way of playing is translatable for those of you who are unhappy with how the game is managed, but I hope this is a helpful blueprint to make your experience with Snap more enjoyable.

2023.06.06 23:09 OrderflowTrader ES Trading Plan for 6/7/23
| I share my plan for educational purposes and not as trade recommendations or ideas. See recap video here. I have recapped today’s action at the end of this post, where I dive into some of the observations from the orderflow/DOM and the TPO profiles.

2023.06.06 22:56 justin1390 Can my employer take back overpayment?
I'm a physician and live in washington, I am paid per shift at a set rate with a yearly contract for 128 shifts which is spread out between 26 paychecks. My employer keeps accidentally over paying me and then request that I work extra shifts or wants to recoup the money. Some years, they wait until the end of the year to reconcile all shifts worked and then bonus or subtract from future paychecks.
In washington, there is a law that employers have 90 days to be able to recoup any overpayment (WAC 296-126-030). The last time this happened was three and a half months ago and I made it very clear as soon as I made the discovery that did not want to work extra shifts, I wanted the amount taken back out of the bank account ASAP. They paid me over $11,000 gross wages extra.
The 90 day period has passed and despite multiple requests they have not requested the money back, and they are now asking I work extra shifts to make it up. I'm thinking about lawyering up with an employement attorney, but does this seem worth it?

2023.06.06 21:42 ittle_Skittle Is it worth the cost?
My free trial ends in a couple days, I had a promo code to get a discount on the year package, but I am not sure if it is worth the money or not.
I did the free trial a couple months ago, but didn’t like the tracking so tried a couple different apps, but really missed the Noom lessons. So when I got a promo code, I decided to try to free trial again.
Now, I still like the lessons, but also still hate their food tracker. MyNetDiary is sooo much better for that. Especially because you can see your macros and log in just about any form of measurement.
I just can’t decide if I am going to get my moneys worth by paying for a full year. Are there enough lessons for a whole year? I’m already at Noom 201…
I’m an extremely indecisive person so I need help deciding lol!! Is the book better? Worth it?

2023.06.06 21:40 Trucksaregud Is this AliExpress Guitar Good?
| I was looking at the 90’s slash custom guitar with the neck inlays and stuff and came across this beautiful piece on AliExpress. It’s a (Gibson, actually a Chibson?) Les Paul guitar copy with some sick dragon stuff on the body and neck that I love, and the wood grain on the body too. (Love it) Now the real question is, is the guitar worth 300 dollars? (296.31usd plus free shipping) I’m mainly worried about the electronics inside and the body/wood being absolute trash. One person reviewed it and said,”It was built skillfully with pride and an exceptional skill level. It plays beautifully and glides from note to note effortlessly.” And after 2 more days said,”Plays great, very impressive” This was a 5 star review. There is a small spec sheet with 3 specs. A mahogany body, rosewood fingerboard, and 22 frets. submitted by Trucksaregud to guitars [link] [comments] |

I kinda of have one lol. My boyfriend (soon to be fiancé) is from South Korea and he went back there for two months. Luckily I’m going in August to see him and then we’ll come back together. When we met he was on a student visa and now he has to go back for two months for a new visa.
I’m curious if anyone here has a 90 day fiancé or visa experience!
