2023.06.07 07:21 Purplenight123 Selling home.. opinions?
Hey everyone! I need opinions from you experts. We live in Hawaii where the market seems to be pretty hot always. The homes in my neighborhood typically sell two weeks after listing. We listed our home last month and have had a total of 3 realtors stop by and two people during our open houses. We dropped our price by $20k due to the increase in interest rates to try to appeal to more buyers.. it’s been a week since our price drop and we haven’t received any showing requests. Our homes been on the market a total of 22 days. We have a very clean updated home. Appliances are new, safe community and owned solar panels. I just don’t know why no one wants our home 😵💫 any advice?? Have you seen a home sit for a month before anyone wanted to buy it?.. we are relocating soon and the thought of having this house not sold by then really stresses me out. Our realtor recommended listing two months before we move due to how quickly homes go but right now it seems to be at a stand still.. just looking for advice/opinions on this. We’ve never done this before and it’s soooo stressful. Thanks in advance

2023.06.07 07:20 kyyv Am I crazy?
Searched the couch for change. Found change in the car. Returned some things to Home Depot left over from a project for a refund. Sold some things on Craig's List. Delayed grocery shopping by using everything in the freezer. Did not pay my credit cards in full like normal and only paid the minimums. I delayed a dental appointment one month, so I would have cash this month. In all I put together about $1,500. On Monday, I bought 6,226 shares at .2392. Am I crazy? No. This was no big sacrifice. If this does not pan out, so what? If BBBYQ moons, OMG, what might those shares be worth?

2023.06.07 07:17 Adblinds Smart Curtains - Transforming Your Home with Intelligent Window Treatments
| Smart Curtain Smart Curtains - Transforming Your Home with Intelligent Window Treatments In today's rapidly evolving world of technology, smart home innovations have become increasingly popular. From voice-controlled assistants to automated security systems, homeowners are embracing the convenience and efficiency that these advancements bring. One area where technology has made significant strides is in window treatments, with the introduction of smart curtains. In this article, we will explore the concept of smart curtains, their features and benefits, and how they can transform your home. Understanding Smart Curtains Smart curtains, also known as motorized curtains or automated window treatments, are an intelligent solution that allows you to control the opening and closing of your curtains with the touch of a button or a simple voice command. These curtains are equipped with motors and automation technology that eliminate the need for manual operation. Advantages of Smart Curtains - Convenience and Accessibility
Smart curtains provide a high level of convenience and accessibility. With the integration of smart home systems, you can control your curtains from anywhere in your home or even when you're away. Imagine being able to open or close your curtains remotely, allowing you to let in natural light or maintain privacy with ease. - Energy Efficiency
Smart curtains offer energy-saving benefits. By automating the opening and closing of your curtains based on pre-set schedules or light sensors, you can effectively regulate the amount of sunlight entering your home. This feature helps to keep your home cool during hot summer days and insulates it during colder months, reducing the strain on your HVAC system and ultimately lowering energy consumption. - Enhanced Privacy and Security
Privacy is a crucial aspect of any home, and smart curtains can provide an added layer of security. By scheduling your curtains to close automatically at nightfall or when you're away, you can deter prying eyes and protect your home from potential intruders. This feature not only enhances your privacy but also gives the impression that someone is home, even when you're on vacation. - Integration with Smart Home Systems
Smart curtains seamlessly integrate with existing smart home systems, such as voice assistants or home automation hubs. This integration allows you to control your curtains using voice commands or through mobile apps, providing a cohesive and interconnected smart home experience. You can create custom schedules, group curtains with other smart devices, and even control them remotely while you're on the go. Factors to Consider When Choosing Smart Curtains When selecting smart curtains for your home, several factors should be taken into account: - Compatibility
Ensure that the smart curtains you choose are compatible with your existing smart home ecosystem. Check if they can be integrated with popular voice assistants like Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant, as well as with other smart devices you may have. - Installation and Power Source
Consider the installation process and the power source required for the smart curtains. Some models are battery-operated, while others require a direct electrical connection. Choose the option that best suits your preferences and home layout. - Control Options
Evaluate the different control options available for the smart curtains. While voice control is a popular choice, some models also offer remote control, smartphone apps, or wall-mounted control panels. Select the control method that aligns with your convenience and preferences. - Design and Aesthetic Appeal
Smart curtains come in various styles, colors, and materials. Consider the design and aesthetic appeal of the curtains to ensure they complement your home decor. Look for options that offer customization, allowing you to find the perfect fit for your windows. Installation and Maintenance Tips for Smart Curtains Installing and maintaining smart curtains is relatively straightforward. Here are some tips to guide you through the process: - Measure accurately: Before purchasing your smart curtains, measure your windows accurately to ensure the right fit. Take into account the width, height, and depth of the window frame to determine the appropriate curtain size.
- Follow manufacturer's instructions: Each smart curtain system may have specific installation instructions. Read and follow the manufacturer's guidelines carefully to ensure a proper and secure installation. This may involve mounting brackets, attaching the curtain track or rod, and connecting the motorized components.
- Consider power source options: Smart curtains can be powered either by batteries or through a direct electrical connection. Choose the option that suits your preferences and home layout. Battery-powered curtains offer flexibility and ease of installation, while wired curtains provide a continuous power source without the need to replace batteries.
- Ensure proper connectivity: If your smart curtains require connectivity to a smart home system or a central hub, ensure that they are properly connected and configured. Follow the instructions provided by the manufacturer to connect your curtains to the desired control device or smart home ecosystem.
- Test the functionality: Once installed, test the functionality of your smart curtains. Open and close them using the control method you prefer, whether it's a smartphone app, voice command, or a remote control. Ensure that the curtains operate smoothly and respond accurately to your commands.
- Regular maintenance: Smart curtains generally require minimal maintenance. However, it's essential to keep them clean and free from dust or debris that could affect their operation. Regularly dust the curtain fabric or wipe it gently with a damp cloth, following the manufacturer's cleaning recommendations.
- Check and replace batteries: If you have battery-powered smart curtains, keep an eye on the battery life. Replace the batteries as needed to ensure uninterrupted operation. Some smart curtain systems may provide low battery alerts or indicators to remind you when it's time to replace the batteries.
- Troubleshooting: If you encounter any issues with your smart curtains, consult the troubleshooting section of the manufacturer's manual or contact their customer support for assistance. They can guide you through common problems and provide solutions to ensure your curtains function optimally.
Remember, the installation and maintenance process may vary depending on the specific smart curtain system you choose. Always refer to the manufacturer's instructions and guidelines for the most accurate and up-to-date information. By following these installation and maintenance tips, you can enjoy the convenience and benefits of smart curtains while ensuring their longevity and smooth operation in your home. submitted by Adblinds to u/Adblinds [link] [comments] |
2023.06.07 07:09 Lopsided_Advisor_251 What do you think about my deck?
| Ok guys be brutally honest and don’t be mad if I can’t make any of your changes if suggested. I’m not a contractor, just needed the deck replaced and have construction knowledge from years ago in high school and working for my dad. This is what I got and I want opinions and construction criticism(not a spelling mistake, just a solid dad joke about the construction of my deck.) Old deck was rotting away and was painted over by previous owners of the house. Posts were not actually connected to the floor anymore. Framing was 24” on center and a few joists were rotted out so I guess 48 on center in 1 spot. I changed it by doing 16” on center and joist hangers and hurricane ties. Pressure treated hem fir and plan to do 2x6 Doug fir construction lumber from Home Depot and stain/ seal for the top. submitted by Lopsided_Advisor_251 to Decks [link] [comments] |
2023.06.07 07:00 Emuc64_1 tl;dr - Endgame achieved, since wife likes Paradigm Studio 100 v5 & cc-690 v5 upgrade!
It's no secret I'm a fan of Paradigm speakers. I have had the Paradigm Studio 100 v2, CC v2 center, and Atom v2 surrounds for 13+ years. I bought them used from a co-worker for a good price and paired with an Outlaw Audio LFM1 Plus, it has been great.
In the last three and a half years, I upgraded my home office and game room with SVS SB-2000 subs. Auditioned many things, returned and sold many things (Infinity R-series, Emotiva Airmotiv, Wharfedale Diamond 11s, Klipsch RP, Klipsch R, Revel Concerta2, JBL Studio 530s [I kept them], there was an attempt to listen to KEF Q150 but BB Magnolia couldn't figure it out after a power outage) because I've only ever owned Energy and Paradigms, so I don't know what I don't know and have to audition them to find out. There's always something I really liked about the Paradigm sound. I ended up with newer Paradigm Atom v7s for the desktop and eventually bumped them up to a pair of Studio 20 v3s, and Studio 100 v4 + cc-590 v5 for the game room, respectively.
Now it was time to upgrade the living room v2 set. I considered the Founders - they were a little above the budget and I couldn't audition them nearby. Many dealers near me are installers only, and the place 1 hour away from me, guilted me over the phone saying that if I auditioned with them, then I should buy from them. I mean, I've been known to buy brick and mortar if customer service is great over saving a few dollars. However, I don't like any, even low-key, pressure for such a high dollar (to me) purchase.
A few weeks ago, I saw a good deal for an LCR combo of Paradigm Studio 100 v5 and cc-690 v5 in Ash Black. Wife said, upgrade had to be black and not wood colored since it wouldn't match the decor. She voiced her concerns with buying something that wouldn't be that much better than what we already had. To be fair, the test between the Studio 100 v2 and Studio 100 v4 set sounded clearer, but it wasn't a game changer. Plus the cc-590 hadn't come in yet, so I couldn't say if the 3-way center would be worth it. It's not like I could've returned them to the store if I didn't like them, but I had faith! After consulting with the Mrs. on the deal, she relented agreed. I pulled the trigger, got them in, hooked up along with the spare Atom v7s, calibrated everything, and then life got in the way.
One night she stayed up late and watched the first episode Picard Season 3 on Paramount+. The next morning she comes up to me while I'm having my coffee, smiles and says, "You know, I get it now. I see what you're trying to do. I was watching the first episode and I felt like I was there. I didn't think there'd be a big improvement, but I noticed a some good changes." (Yes! It was worth it! The plan worked.) She ended the conversation with, "Please. Don't buy anymore speakers."
And that, folks, is how I got my once a decade upgrade to turn into what is likely my end game complete with spousal approval.
But what's this?!? ... sitting in the corner are a pair of Paradigm CI-Home speakers ready to be installed in-ceiling as Atmos speakers. [Yes, she already knows about them. I just hadn't had time to do that project yet.]

2023.06.07 06:48 AlieCat88 Why? Because their awesome!
I will never forget the day I learned the darkest secret the humans had hidden from the greater galactic community. It was when the Jikath had invaded my home world of Dillareck. My people were pragmatic level 3 Deathworlders. Despite our some what below average size, any 1 could tell just by looking at our sleep agile sharp teeth and 4 forward fading eyes. But our phisicly and technological advancements ment nothing to the invaders. What's worce was that by a law passed back doring a war known as the Pan Galactic Crisis, any conflict between deathworlders was not to be interfered with untill such time as the conflict was over. We were on our own. At the time of my people's 17 star systems, only 5 were left uncaptured or raised by the Jikath. They were ruthless, large breasts of a race. Huge halling brutes with 2000 year head start on us. I had been promoted to point commander after the last 1 had been publicly delimed then eaten alive by the enemy war chief on live broadcast. Yay me. But I wouldn't run from this fight. I knew what my jobs was. To stall the enemy long inuff to let civilians evacuate. Soon I watched the enemy fleet blink into existance from FTL at the edge of the system. As I braced myself to go down swinging, that's when it happened.
Ma'am! We uh... We're being hailed.
What in the Stars are you talking about communications officer!? Is it the Jikath?
No Ma'am. According to the transponder code,it's the....
Spit it out man!
That new race. The Humans!
My blood ran cold as he said this. They were new and very controversial. The only intelligent class 12 deathworlders. Despite there history of self destructive warfare, the Humans were shockingly friendly and curious beings. They had as the rest of the community, abided by the law they prohibited unaffected parties governments getting involved in the fight. So why were they calling us, here, now?
Put them through to the main screen.
Soon the view screen was filed with the almost manicly grinning face of the mostly furless apes. Thought this was a bit of a scruffy looking 1.
Hay there beautiful, we heared you guys were having a ruff time with these bullies. We're almost there.
Wile I appreciate the help and the flattery, you must know that the Terin fleet is going to get in trouble with the community for helping us. I appreciate the help and the flattery, you must know that the Terin fleet is going to be in mager trouble .
Well u don't have to worry about that. We're all civilians. Mostly from the art and entertainment sector.
These humans were mad. Civilisations rushing into a battle like this? Did they have a death wish? Befor I could worn them away they started dropping out of FTL. What I saw was the most baffling thing I'd ever layed my 4 eyes on. There were massive war ships radically difrant stiles. Most were 1 offs. A few were like massive triangles. Many were some form of disk attached to a main hule with some sort of engin pylons. 2 looked like modified Teran sea vesicles. And so many more. Calling on the hulls were huge robots! Some looked humanoid, some like various beasts. From hanger bays pored small fighters, drones and possibly humans in space worthey environmental suits. There were even what looked like massive animals but scans shed they were also piloted robots.
What.... What am I looking at.
I watched in slack jawed silence as the mixed up fleet designated the enemy. An organic looking thing like a reptile with larg spike fired a concentrated particle beem through a friget, a humanoid robot pulled out a sword! A freeking sword! Made of contained pink plasma sliding though fighter after fighter. Small round fighter with huge square solar panels shiped around picking off the enemy as a human ship that looked like 1 of the dragonfly insects fired a weapon the wiped out a capital ship. It was madness every were u looked. Maney of the animles robots sporting bright coloerful paint jobs started flying in formation and combined into 1 larger humanoid robot. There were so many icons and conflicting names adoring the ships that it was hard to believe it was only humans rushing in to our rescue with the enthusiasm of some 1 fulfilling the single greatest dream of there lives. the colms were overwhelmed with the chatter of the 100s of miss mach ships. Music, insults, what could only bee quotes flew as freely as ever conceivable weapon. In seemingly no time at all the fighting was over and with fue human lives lost. I don't recall when I had fallen backwards onto the floor but I quickly picked myself back up.
I need to speek with the human fleet leader!
As the scream came up I saw the humans deliberating all waiting strainge outfits, was this some kined of cerimonial garb of some kined?
Thank you for the help. Buy why do civilians have so many war ships and why so many wildly insfisiant forms like giant robots?
Why? Because there awesome! And don't worry. We're just getting started.
Well may I know the name of the group who saved our tales?
The human smiled, eyes alight with mirth and mischief as he gave his ancer to her.
can call us Comic Con Squdren.
The human smiled, eyes alight with mirth and mischief as he gave his ancer to her.
can call us Comic Con Squadron!
I learned humanities deepest, darkest seacret. They were all a bunch of nerds who just gained access to the the ability to make whatever they could dream of. May the Stars help us all.

2023.06.07 06:44 Nervous-Babbs My washer/dryer is not getting all the fur and I need advice!
So I try to groom both of my cats twice a week. I have an old boy(14-16) and a little girl(2). Both of my babies have white fur the littlest has the most and I have to wear black pants at work and I work in a kitchen in an elderly home and so it's important to be sanitary. I've reverted to washing my pants like three times and sometimes when I pull my shirts out they even look like they have hair. They're made of a different material but my cotton pants hold all the hair.
No matter what I do I can't seem to get rid of it. I have gone through the house and vacuumed everything, every nook and cranny. The couch, the bed sheets get washed all the time but they still have fur on them.
I have a whole Sticky Buddy kit I got it on Amazon can't stand the site but I needed a solution. The sticky fingers really work well on the couch they're awesome they work great on things like seasonal couch Decor pillows, it makes my clothes look frumpy but it works okay. The sticky rolly part is crap it just does not contain enough sticky to really make a difference even when freshly washed. I had the mini Sticky Buddy for work that came with it and it's okay but, it's not going to look good to be in the bathroom and Sticky Buddy myself all day.😂 sounds so wrong.
Is it time to get a new washedryer? ( Samsung MultiSteam VentSencor dryer - samsung VRT washer got as set)
We've only had these for like 5 years but something's going on because the cat hair is far more than it used to be and it's insane and I need help guys any suggestions please
I'm trying to keep snuggling my cats all the time and work in a sterile environment. It is so stressing when I realize I have cat fur on my sleeve at work. That's gross, I wouldn't like someone else's cat hair in my food. I've probably eaten plenty but that's not my point.
please help us, I'm sure my kitties would enjoy a less fuzzy atmosphere lol.

2023.06.07 06:28 stupidsexyflan How screwed are we?
I live in a townhome complex with 22 units built in 1967. Utility room was inspected at some point and pictures were sent to insurance. Ultimately, after a total lack of response from my HOA board, we find out that we are being dropped from our master policy insurance carrier because of high risk due to the aluminum wiring and the stab lok zinsco and federal pacific panels. Everyone claims no aluminum in units and we're not sure if there is aluminum in the panels. We are now in the special insurance category and rates are crazy. We have two federal pacific and one zinsco panel in the laundry/boiler rooms, I believe original panels in all units were federal pacific. I would guess 50% of the 22 units have replaced their federal pacific boxes, including mine. Will our insurance pick us back up after we fix the main area issues or does every unit need to be replaced? I don't know how we can force people to replace in their own homes. Does anyone know how complexes deal with this issue?

Keep in mind, I suck when it comes to romance...
(Lack of experience)
____________________________________________________________________________________________________________
Memory Transcription Subject: Tarva, Governor of the Venlil Republic
Date [Standardized Human Time]: November 9, 2136
Over the two days that passed… humanity has sent, and is currently sending forth construction ships to each of our planets to begin construction on the new headquarters for their new institutions to begin conversion of the old federation endorsed guilds… From what Noah told us they only needed to allocate 9 shipyards to build all the necessary construction ships for us.
I was so intrigued about all of their shipyards. I wanted to know more about them, but Noah wouldn’t talk to me at all on the subject, saying Terran projects were to remain in Terran space. And nowhere else…
Noah wouldn’t actually talk to me at all. He had remained in the shuttle he arrived in for the few days he’s been here. I invited him to join me back at the governor's mansion, but he declined saying that his shuttle also functioned as his abode and office. It was apparently outfitted with all he could ever want and need…
That part made me feel concerned… did he not want… me?
His note said he loved me… I needed to understand exactly what he meant by that, but no matter when I tried to have a personal conversation with the human, he simply pushed me away saying he was reminded of business to do…
…
Surly he didn’t think that would work on me.
I was tired of trying to beat around the bush with this man. Like with Meier, I will speak, and he will listen.
It was a long day of work, needing to begin the process of the removal of the exterminator as a profession, as per the humans demands. I was ready to go home, but I was determined to set things straight between me and Noah…
I walked out to the landing pad up to the Shuttle and knocked firmly on its hatch and waited patiently for it to open. After a few moments, the hatch lowered for me to see Noah with a mug that read, “Galaxy’s Okayest Ambassador” ...
“Where did you get that mug?”, I just had to ask.
“Custom made; now what do you want?”
I sighed defeatedly, “Noah… I wanted to talk to you… about us.”
“Goodbye!”
Noah was about to press the button to close the hatch before I grabbed his arm to stop him. He looked at me both surprised and annoyed…
“Noah Williams! Stop trying to fight me on this! I saw your note you left in your drawer when you left!” I looked him dead in the eyes when I said that. His eyes widened in realization, he seemed to be surprised at the fact that I found the note. His face went red, which I was well aware meant that he was flustered by my comment.
He looked down to the side as he seemed to scowl at the fact, before turning to look at his arm with my paw holding onto it. He jerk his arm away from my paw, and looked at me with a
Face that seemed like he seemed to pain the thought of the conversation I wanted to have.
He turned around and gestured me over to a seat upon a couch that was built into the shuttle. I took my seat and gazed around the room of the shuttle. It was minimalistic and utilitarian with little decoration. There was once a photo hung up though, it was the first photo that Noah took with me… I was so scared then~... heh…
Noah closed the hatch back up and sat on the other end of the Couch with a tired face. He spoke up, “So… what did you want to talk about?”
Here goes nothing… “Noah… I feel the same way… I have feelings for you.”
Noah’s face went red as I said that…
“I… I’m glad to know that Tarva… but I don’t know If I can dedicate myself to a proper relationship… at least not publicly.”
EXCUSE ME?! I look at him with a face of pure shock, he shows a sense of fear as he sees the expression on my face.
“I-It’s not because im not interested anymore, it’s because of the situation regarding the aspect of xenophilia on earth… after the bombings, it’s become quite the…
Controversy…”
Oh…
Yeah that made sense.
It’s not like interspecies relationships would be pursued by many humans with the amount of Xenophobia flowing about the human’s media. If Noah was revealed that he was in a relationship with me? The leader of the species that abandoned humanity at its darkest hour? Him being “recalled” was certain…
I responded in kind, “We don’t have to tell anyone Noah…” I took his hands and held them in my paws, “Even if it’s only behind closed doors until humanity cools down, I really want this with you…”
He looked up from his hands to peer directly into my eyes. With both of us looking into each other's eyes, into each other's souls, I saw the state of this man before me. He was broken in many ways, mentally mostly… he is stressed beyond belief. He deserves comfort all the same as Meier. And this time? It will be all the comfort I can provide him.
Noah sighs in acceptance of the situation. He smiles with a newfound compassion that wasn’t present before. This… this was the Noah that I met all those months ago… this was the one that I have grown to love.
We are suddenly woken from our trance from an alarming beeping from the shuttle’s cockpit. Noah’s expression turns to a cold worry as he seemed to know what that beeping meant. He got up from the couch and rushed into the cockpit, I followed suit to see the issue…
“N-Noah? W-What’s wrong?!” I asked with a stutter.
“Look… long range scanners just picked up an unidentified fleet moving out of hyperspace into the system’s outer circle…”
I took a look at the scanner that Noah was talking about…
…

2023.06.07 06:17 Dennis-Isaac Will Apple Vision Pro Change the UX Game or Is It a Gimmick?
Apple has recently unveiled its first spatial computer, the Apple Vision Pro1, a revolutionary device that blends digital content with the physical world.
The Vision Pro features a three-dimensional interface that frees apps from the boundaries of a display, and allows users to interact with them using their eyes, hands, and voice1. The device also boasts an ultra-high-resolution display system that packs 23 million pixels across two displays, and custom Apple silicon in a unique dual-chip design1. The Vision Pro runs on visionOS, the world’s first spatial operating system that is built on the foundation of macOS, iOS, and iPadOS1.
The Vision Pro promises to deliver extraordinary new experiences for users, such as creating an infinite canvas for apps at work and at home, enjoying stunning TV shows and movies on a virtual 100-foot wide screen, capturing and reliving memories in 3D, and connecting with others in FaceTime with realistic avatars12. The device also supports Magic Keyboard and Magic Trackpad, as well as game controllers for gaming2.
The Vision Pro is set to be available for purchase in early 2024, with a price tag of $3,4992. This makes it one of the most expensive XR headsets on the market, but also one of the most advanced and innovative. Apple claims that the Vision Pro is years ahead and unlike anything created before, with thousands of groundbreaking innovations1.
But how does the Vision Pro compare with other XR headsets, such as Meta’s Quest 3? And how will it change the user experience and UX design of computing? The Vision Pro differs from Meta’s Quest 3 in several ways. First, the Vision Pro uses augmented reality rather than virtual reality. This means that it allows users to see digital content overlaid on their real environment, rather than being fully immersed in a virtual world. Users can adjust how immersive they want to be by using a rotating crown on the headset2. This may make it easier for users to integrate the technology into their daily lives, without being completely cut off from their surroundings.
Second, the Vision Pro relies on gesture-based inputs rather than controllers. Users can use their voice, eyes or slight movement from their hands to move apps, expand pictures and even take notes. This may make the interaction more natural and intuitive, as well as more accessible and inclusive for all users.
Third, the Vision Pro has a much higher resolution than Meta’s Quest 3. Each panel on the Vision Pro has 23 million pixels, which is more than a 4K TV for each eye. This means that details should be incredibly crisp and realistic. Apple claims that users can view the world in full color while wearing the headset.
The Vision Pro may change the user experience and UX design of computing by introducing a new dimension of spatial interaction. Users will be able to place virtual screens around their Mac, take FaceTime calls without digging into their pocket, and write emails from their couch Users will also be able to interact with digital content in a way that feels like it is physically present in their space.
However, creating spatial user interfaces will also require new challenges and opportunities for UX designers. Designers will need to understand 3D spaces and how users interact with them, create new interaction models based on human gestures and body motions, consider accessibility and inclusivity of all users, use immersive storytelling to increase user engagement and emotional connections, and account for the real-world context in which spatial UI interfaces are used.
The Vision Pro may also not replace other input devices in some scenarios. For example, some users may prefer keyboards or touchscreens for typing or drawing. Some users may also find gesture-based inputs tiring or imprecise. Some users may also not want to wear a headset all the time or share their eye movements with others.
The Vision Pro is certainly an impressive device that may revolutionize the UX industry by developing it in a new format. However, it is also just the first generation of spatial computer. It may have some limitations or drawbacks that need to be improved over time. It may also face competition from other XR headsets that offer different features or advantages. What do you think about the Apple Vision Pro? Do you think it will change the UX game or is it a gimmick? How do you think it will affect your user experience and UX design? 2023.06.07 06:12 PatienceObjective710 Running out of tests, any ideas?
My husband has been having digestion issues (I.e. chronic diarrhea) for almost a year now. He's been seeing a gastroenterologist who's done a colonoscopy, endoscopy, run various bacterial tests, gene test for gluten and they have found seemingly nothing wrong. My husband quit gluten and alcohol for 8 weeks with zero effect. He's done a few rx that haven't changed anything. The gastroenterologist is just about out of ideas. Next is a full panel allergy test and apparently there is still a part of his intestines they haven't looked at that they will.
What's strange is that the only thing that has ever had any impact is travel. When he travels it starts to go back to normal. Once back home it goes back to what it has been. We've only done short trips where we pack a lot of food from the house (think weekend winter ski trips 3 hours away). And when camping it's not only the same food but even the same water (we have a camper van we fill at home and only drink that water the entire weekend).
We're looking to get some tests done around the house but none seem like likely culprits and his Dr says there isn't anything that should be doing that. And even if there were environmental is outside their scope as a GI Dr.
Where do we go from here? I'm happy we've ruled some things out but he's no closer to finding an answer. Any ideas??

2023.06.07 06:05 stupidsexyflan How screwed are we?
| I live in a townhome complex with 22 units built in 1967. Utility room was inspected at some point and pictures were sent to insurance. Ultimately, after a total lack of response from my HOA board, we find out that we are being dropped from our master policy insurance carrier because of high risk due to the aluminum wiring and the stab lok zinsco and federal pacific panels. Everyone claims no aluminum in units and we're not sure if there is aluminum in the panels. We are now in the special insurance category and rates are crazy. We have these panels in the laundry/boiler rooms. I would guess 50% of the 22 units have replaced their federal pacific boxes, including mine. Does any know how much were talking for just the public spaces? Will our insurance pick us back up after that or does every unit need to be replaced? I don't know how we can force people to replace in their own homes. Does anyone know how complexes deal with this issue? submitted by stupidsexyflan to askanelectrician [link] [comments] |

2023.06.07 06:02 VineViridian Emotional neglect, poverty & inherent homelessness
So I'm coming out of a lifetime of disassociation in late middle age. Because of how my trauma has affected me, I've been quite the unsuccessful under-achiever, by society's (and unfortunately) my own standards. My mother had acquired middle class status through marriage, but I've been poor my entire adult life.
Now, late in the game, I'm considering how I can change that.
During all of my years of frozeness and disconnection, I attempted to create peaceful, comforting & visually aesthetic spaces in low rent places to feel safe–just like I did when hiding away & daydreaming in my bedrooms in childhood.
In the last year of awakening into how barren my life has been, I've realized that I feel inherently homeless.
This is the sense and realization that No place I have ever lived in was "home"–Except for my first one–and that was chaotic & unpredictable.
I can't look at or feel the same about possessions or decorations now. They are all something to clean or eventually something to move.
A man once told me that his mother who survived the Holocaust told him that she always felt homeless after that experience. I cannot relate to escaping genocide, but a sense of homelessness wherever I'm living?
Most Definitely.
