I am like many that were laid off this year. In a panic of not knowing how to search for a job in today's market I began looking at some companies to help me with my search.
I settled on #CareerEvolve because they said they have a 90% success rate of locking in their members to a new job in 90 days. They promised to help find great role and their model and strategy was the best. It is $5000 for the 3-month program, UPFRONT! I was skeptical but also I knew i needed help and they sounded like they knew what they were doing!
In week one I have a 30-minute (on the dot she had to go) call with Evelyn about my game plan and what I am looking for in my next role. I explain I have a very specific position so it was pretty straightforward what I was searching for. think she will follow up with some roles she found for me or connect me to their "network of recruiters," in the days following our call. No crickets. Then there is a set call with all the members of the program on Wednesday for an hour. Not a networking call because again all of the people on the call are looking for jobs as well. Instead, this call is 1 hour of people venting, and talking about the pains of job searching. It felt like what I imagine an AA meeting is like. Anyways I thought it was just an added bonus to the program, as sort of a "you are not alone in this" type of angle.
Again I was wrong. That is the program!!! One 30-minute call every 2 weeks with Evelyn where you update her on your job search and she just sits there and nods like a therapist and then every Wednesday the 1-hour group call where you hear 30 other people complain about their job search. They also send you these super-dated, videos (recording with the words spelled on the screen like karaoke) that are just like a stream of positive affirmations saying you need to now your worth to find a job.
Again I was told, they were finding me jobs before they reach Linkedin, helping me reach recruiters in their network of thousands, help me not waste time applying to fake jobs, etc. I was no longer going to need to apply to jobs on Linkedin and Indeed because they had a new method. Blah Blah Blah....
Long story short, I paid people to hold my hand doing the job search but they don't actually help you. They just stand there and check in on your every 2 weeks and say "Good job sweetie" Sorry I don't need that nor is that what I was told I was paying for. I have friends, family, and coworkers for that, for free!!! I am disgusted that they are preying on people that are desperate and taking money from unemployed people who are already worried about money as is!!!!

I (NB 24) didn’t get diagnosed until I was 22 and I’ve been working in relation with my current boss (F40s?) since I graduated high school. My boss (F40s?) prior also was diagnosed with ADD, but that is also a whole other post. Point being is during that time I felt like I had to compensate for both of our disregulation and distraction in managing tasks. This, in addition to a lot of other things, led me to decide to choose my current employer when the time came where they both needed more than half my work schedule and I needed to go full time for one or the other. It was messy, but it was worth it. I was impressed with her organization (despite my diagnosis I am a very organized person as well, but struggle with executive functioning nonetheless) and am still glad I made the choice I did 2 years ago. The hyper focus, time blindness and struggle to keep tasks in my head when distracted (ex. Client phone calls) do impact my job despite my best efforts to manage. I will start a day knowing I have a meeting (I work from home) and will be thinking about it all day, but when the time comes I am wrapped up in a task or get a call and I could miss the meeting entirely if I am not careful. I write it down in my planner, add it to my calendar, I even have a weekly alarm set to attend the regular weekly meeting with my boss. I do a decent job of showing up, most of the time. Where I usually get caught is when the meeting time moves, or there is a meeting that isn’t part of my usual schedule. I have missed whole meetings or shown up very late. It’s definitely something that I try to account for with additional reminders. So I had a unusual meeting scheduled the other day and before the meeting I told my boss, she will usually text me to ask if I can still attend if I’m 5 min late, that I struggle when the meetings are not at the usual time and to just text me if I am not there when it starts. So yesterday I get a call from a client, am doing some stuff to set them up and I get a her usual text to ask if I am coming. I swear it was on my mind all day that I had a meeting, but by the time 3pm rolled around… I just lost track of time. I got on the meeting about 6 min late and we were talking. She essentially said what I did, that she understood that it’s hard for me when the meetings are not at regular times. She was already texting me prior and has always been patient with my fidgeting, exercise ball that I sit on, I talk a lot (where I think I show hyperactivity), distractibility, mistakes, tardiness , emotional disregulation. I feel so fortunate to have a workplace where my input is valued, where my talents can shine, and where my limitations are understood and accommodated within reason. I understand being late is rude and I always come forward with solutions, but I am never going to be able to perfect timeliness. I appreciate the patience from my peers, the honesty I can come forward with about my diagnosis and the grace I am given. I work in mental health, but that doesn’t necessarily mean every practice is like this. I will continue to work to find spaces that have space for me. It is a relief to be imperfect and for that to be ok. It reminds me to continue to move away from those who choose righteousness over understanding. Those who aim to put me back in my place, those who see my diagnosis as an excuse and my condition as an inconvenience. I don’t have to be a burden in the eyes of those close to me, I have talents too, a lot of them. I hope you all can find or have found spaces where you are given room for your struggles and uplifted for your talents. It’s possible and you do deserve it, no matter what anyone else says.

This will be my first time doing elements, going with 1 other friend. We're both females in our mid 20s, driving down from the new york/Vermont area. We've gone to several festivals together but neither of us have ever done a camping festival. I'm not a stranger to camping in nature, but obviously festival camping is going to be drastically different.
We'll probably do the 2 person GA or VIP bundle. Couple questions:
-Is the preset tent set up worth it or is it better to save money and bring your own tent (I already have a tent). And if you do the present tent option can this be paired with the VIP camping location?
-Is VIP worth it over GA? It's roughly $200-$250 more than GA, is that price justifiable?
-We will most likely be arriving in separate cars but a campsite only allows 1 car. What can we do with the other car? Just pay to park it in the commuter lot or is these secure parking outside of the festival?
-Food questions... How do you cook food or keep food cold? Or is the move to bring food that you don't have to store/cook? Or do some of yall just buy festival food all weekend?
-How are campsites/tents secured? Like how do you prevent someone from unzipping your tent when you're not around?

After years of struggling with an on and off pornography addiction, and coming off of a tough break up beginning of January, I’ve decided that I’ve had enough. Hello reddit, I’ve had a fucked up week. I’d like to start with some back up story to make this make more sense- I was recently diagnosed with agoraphobia after struggling with it for about 3 years. My boyfriend and I met when I was very freshly 16 and he’s been there with me through everything for the past 4 years. We were homeless for a little bit last year and couch hopping, and we’ve been settled in at my grandmas now which isn’t necessarily comfortable for either of us as my mom is quite a mess, I got into a physical altercation with her last week because she was yelling at my grandma (who is your stereotypical sweet angel baby grandma). Aside from all this, my boyfriend and I have been doing good, we don’t really argue, we both feel like we’re each other’s soulmate, we love to spend time together. Now this is where it gets messy- He broke up with me 2 nights ago. We were both sobbing and he genuinely never cries. He said he needed to focus on himself and get where he wanted to be in life and he didn’t feel like he could do that if he still had to take care of me no matter how hard he tried. We’ve talked and cried a lot since then and he told me he booked a flight out of state and it was too late, I threw out the possibility of long distance as a last resort and he told me to get serious for a second because it’s something he had been thinking about too over the last 24 hours we were broken up. He said at the time of the break up he was scared and he didn’t think he could do long distance but that now he realizes anything was better than not being together. So that’s where we are at. We’re going to long distance and when he has a stable place up there I’ll join him. Aside from the fact that I’m absolutely terrified of moving across the country, how do I do long distance after we’ve been together everyday for years? I wanna do it and I wanna be strong for him but I dont know how, I just know this is infinitely better than losing the love of my life. I provide email hosting services (among other things) and have a problem with my server IPs' subnet getting blocked by MS 2-3 times a year.
Just to be clear, my servers run an enterprise spam filter both for incoming and outgoing mail and are not sending any spam. Poorly formatted mails? Sure, people are lazy/stupid, but not spam. MS blocks entire CIDR blocks instead of single IPs and I'm caught in the crossfire ^^
Apart from making delist requests at sender.office.com is there anything else I can do? e.g. Google provides a postmaster dashboard where I can validate my domains via DNS records. It's not a whitelist, but adds some credibility against their spam filter.

New to gaming on pc .so feel free to recommend popular titles .
