I'm 3.5 years into transition and I live in a fairly conservative state. I'll make a bigger post about my transition around the 4 year mark, but I wanted a little mini update to share with everyone.
It's been a couple of weeks since I got my last document, but I've been grappling with my feelings on the matter so I wanted to take some time to think on what I wanted to say. I'll start off with I am still working though some bank stuff and a few other things, but my ID, SSN, and Birth Cert are all up to date with my new name.
The reason it took me so long to post my thoughts and feelings about it would resolve around the fact I feel like I should be more excited than I am. I'm not saying I'm not happy and relieved to have that little 'F' everywhere and my name legally changed but it felt so anticlimactic. While I didn't have the words for it until I was older growing up when I did everything was fairly segregated by gender. I understand that's nothing new and in a lot of ways nothing has changed but I grew up with a conservative family (most grew up and still live in rural areas) and while I grew up in the city nearby in a lot of ways my childhood was a lot of strict and not so strict gender roles. I realized fairly early on o felt very much like a fish out of water with the gender roles assigned to me. Clearly everything is a construct and one can be a fairly feminine man or a masculine women but that didn't really explain my feelings. I hated being called a boy and anything masculine. Being referred to in this way made my skin crawl. As you can guess I was a pretty feminine when I was young, but then I started school and it became very obvious that if I didnt want to get teased I had to fall in line. I think it was also about the time my family also became more strict about how I acted. I think this had a lot to do with it's cute when it's a little kids a my but after a certain age there was a certain behavior that was expected of me.
I'll cut to the chase but in my early teens I found out what transgender meant and it was as they say a light bulb moment. I finally had a word for my feelings.
Cut again more than a decade of false starts and I started my transition.
I'm not well past the point where I don't turn at my name and it apart from legal documents up until a few weeks ago I had mostly separated myself and my old name in my head. My new name wasn't my first choice or even my second. I won't pretend that my first few options were that good anyways. They didn't really feel right. My new name was kind of an accident on how I came across it but now I can't really think of being anything else. I think the long and the short of it is that because I've been transitioning so long it just kind of felt like that's how it should have been so it wasn't that big of a deal. I'm not really sure if anybody else has had the same kind of feeling but this was mine.

Season 4 Release

In around 24 hours, the fourth and final season of "Never Have I Ever" will be released, to the bittersweet delight of millions of fans worldwide.
This show has been a ground-breaking television series that not only showcased a tremendous diversity of talent, but dares to center and humanize all the messiness of teenage life for a South Asian teenager girl, compels us with the lives of also her wide circle of friends and love interests, and uplifts the challenges and joys of an Indian family living in the United States.
So many of the fans and audience have seen and loved the show for so many different reasons, and this subreddit has been an amazing place for fun, art, celebration, videos, discussion, and more.
Because the risk and repercussions of spoilers will be so magnified, please be extremely conscientious when reading, posting, and commenting about Season 4. While there will be safeguards in place to try to catch mistakes, slip-ups, and over-eager fans, we are still all human.

What I do want to take some space to discuss, beyond the explanation above, is why this subreddit community should care, and why this subreddit is planning to 'go dark' also.
By topic-matter, this subreddit might seem like "just" another place to gather to enjoy light-hearted and casual entertainment. "It's just a TV show," right? Well, an over-whelming majority of those that participate in and enjoy this community do so through an app. (Though maybe for obvious reasons now, reddit does not break down for moderators whether it is the official Reddit app, or a third-party app that will stop functioning in less than a month). The principle of solidarity is crucial here.
I actually still use old.reddit.com... until at least a few days ago. The "old" reddit interface was the more intuitive way for me to interact with reddit, both on my computer and even on my mobile device. So, honestly, the whole "API" situation doesn't affect me much... or, so I thought. In the lead-up to the release of Season 4, I took a look at the buzz around the Blackout, which mentioned that the moderation tools are better on some of the third-party apps. I tried the free versions of a few, and did find out and like that one of them will probably be a vastly better experience for me to navigate and moderate this subreddit with, especially when this subreddit community has over 1000x more traffic and activity after Season 4 is released. And, that's what will be so worrisome: "smaller" subreddits, or those with smaller moderator teams that manage a more "niche" communities will be disproportionately impacted by reddit's API changes.
By that I mean, because of the nature of what is "popular" in the world, and which pop culture ideas or topics might tend to form (or want to form) online/subreddit communities, when there are many more people that are interested in a particular topic, then the chances are higher of there to exist willing redditors, with time and skill to volunteer to moderate a subreddit. So, "mainstream" subreddits have better chances of having large and sufficient moderation teams, while more niche/fringe topics (like a ground-breaking show about a South Asian teenage girl) are not. So, a well-designed third-party app is a "force multipler (please excuse the militaristic nature of the term) that helps make supportive online spaces for smaller communities possible. Reddit's proposed "API" change maybe won't directly cause the downfall of smaller subreddit communities, but the experience of those (moderators) that try to create and cultivate such spaces, and the redditors that want to participate in them, will be negatively affected... and this would contribute to declining interaction, lower sense of connectivity/belonging, and probably eventual shut down. And, all this precludes that access to reddit for some, e.g. the subreddit community /blind (which coincidentally is around the same exact size as /NeverHaveIEverShow) will literally shut down, because those that need third-party apps to be 'screen-readers' for accessibility will be cut-off; this is unjust.
But, the "Reddit Blackout" seems to have a lot of momentum, support, and participation (from other subreddits) that will make the Reddit (corporation) managers/"Admins" listen anyway, you might think... why should our /NeverHaveIEverShow subreddit participate, especially when we're kind of small and scrappy anyway, and at a time that is so crucial for us to exist, and to be together a few days after a momentous event?
In the face of imbalanced and disproportionate power -- which is what Reddit (corporation) / "Admins" have over subreddit communities and moderators -- mass-mobilization and collective action is how change happens. This is a practice both to defend our right to exist, thrive, and have control when those rights are threatened, and also necessary to stand up in solidarity with others even beyond our own self-interest, because we see and are committed to others around us. These are values from the raison d'être of "Never Have I Ever", illustrated in the journeys and plotlines of multiple characters in the show, and also a pillar in the legacy and banner for community organizing and collective strength for South Asian diaspora:

1. Symbolic Solidarity: Verbally expressing solidarity, putting out/signing onto statements, wearing symbols/logos of solidarity.
   
2. Transactional solidarity: Often done between organizations/groups, an even exchange.
   
3. Embodied Solidarity: Individuals literally embodying and living their visions/beliefs in the world.
   
4. Transformative solidarity: When masses of oppressed communities choose to forego something that would benefit them, and do not take it because it comes at the expense of other oppressed communities.

This is a scary decision to make, but because it is such a crucial time for this show and this subreddit community, we would betray the solidarity and values of those around us and from the show if we did not reflect on the situation ahead, and our role and opportunity to leverage our power and collective strength. Upon the release of Season 3, this subreddit generated over 2 million 'pageviews' that month. That is thousands of dollars of advertising that Reddit profited from this subreddit community. Besides that, Netflix's PR and marketing team surely have an eye on this subreddit, and want their show to succeed and thrive, and can exert pressure on another mega-corporation in their own self-interest. That is us being more powerful than we might know or think we can be.

Hey guys,
Every time I turn on my JBL Quantum 600 headset, windows doesn't remember the configuration. So I have to go into the sound settings in the control panel, right click -> Configure, then set it to 7.1 from Stereo. Then properties, last tab turn spatial sound on.
I was playing a game, then family came over, so I exited the game, put the headset down (left them turned on) and saw my guests. When they left, I came back, and the headset had turned off automatically, so I turned it back on. Thought I had better check the sound settings, and low and behold, they went back to Stereo and spatial sound off (this headset sounds horrible without this setting, I am still not impressed with them).
Why won't Windows remember the configuration for these headphones?

Since the WGA has prevented my from working on my novel, I've decided to, as an outlet for my unbridled creativity, turn to the folk song, which has become in recent years the particularly fashionable form of idiocy among the self-styled intellectual. I find that people who deplore the level of current popular songs will sit around enthralled singing "Jimmy Crack Corn and I Don't Care" or "Green Grow the Rushes, Oh!" -- whatever that means.
At any rate, for this elite I have here, for a modest $59.99 Patreon donation, an ancient Irish ballad which was written a few years ago. Irish, of course, as an homage to the resplendent and intoxicating countryside that inspired many a tale and the to the spirits of the same quality that spurred many a writer on to greatness. This work is replete with all the accoutrements of this art form in particular, it has a sort of idiotic refrain, in this case "Rickety-tickety-tin" you'll notice cropping up from time to time, running through, I might add, interminable verses. The large number of verses being a feature expressly designed to please the true devotees of the folk song who seem to find singing fifty verses of "On Top of Old Smokey" is twice as enjoyable as singing twenty-five.
Oh, one more thing. One of the more important aspects of public folk singing is audience participation, and this happens to be a good song for group singing, so if any of you feel like joining in with me on this song, I'd appreciate it if you would leave right now.

Hello everyone! I've come up with some lists for this Midweek Magic event, 6 in total, and this time we can show a little more love for the Pauper, a format which is often underappreciated.
We could have Pauper or Artisan in MTGA, but... well, at least we have some people giving some attention to those formats in the Discord. The community of Magic is truly passionate.
I was not able to test all of my lists because I didn't have enough wildcards. So, I've come with an idea: create lists with cards which are important pieces of decks in other formats. Most people playing should have those cards or if you want to dive into other formats it can be interesting have them in your pool.
I will be highlighting those cards using bold and italic letters !
Those cards can be important pieces of combos, cool cards in various strategies or simply very powerful cards. If you have some spare wildcards I would recommend craft them.
And I have to say: I'm not a professional deck builder, I just want to share some of my brews somewhere. Enjoy!

• Midweek Magic - BR Madness

My personal choice. I've built this deck for the Explorer Pauper event some time ago, but now we have a new powerful tool: Faithless Looting. An amazing card in reanimator lists (just to give a single example of many possibilities) and here we use it to enable the madness cards. Voldaren Epicure is a card that I had great expectations, and see it in Boros Convoke and Red Kudoltha (oh, we don't have Kuldoltha Rebirth in Arena... but you should check this deck in Pauper) gives me joy.

I've been trying some different things: Ragged Recluse and Cabal Initiate. Personally I feel that this list is far from being finely tuned, but it have everything I love in Magic: choices! Should I send the Fiery Temper to the face or use it to remove a key creature? I must wait to crack this blood or try to hit the third land drop? We have different angles to approach every situation. With this deck every match will be on the verge of insanity!

• Midweek Magic - B Zombies

Another personal letter of love. When I started playing pauper my first deck was a mono black zombie tribal. Even my favorite magic card of all time was there: Carrion Feeder (bring my boy, or my girl... my rotten corpse to Arena, please). So I wanted to create something similar to this special deck for me.
Sure, we have Gempalm Polluter and Ghoulraiser in Arena... but there are so many cool cards missing. Some cards like Shambling Ghast, Lazotep Reaver and Putrid Goblin can be very effective in sacrifice shells, but the most proeminent card here is (for me, at least) Deadly Dispute. Every deck with sacrifice and black can use it effectively (hello Rakdos Sacrifice). And treasures are simply powerful.

• Midweek Magic - BG Undying

They live, they die, they live again! This deck use synergies of small and dispensable cratures to draw cards, eliminate enemy threats and put a big Bayou Groff in the field.
Shambling Ghast and Deadly Dispute are back, but it's kinda boring bring up the same relevant cards, so I have an honorable mention to the Young Wolf! Yawgmoth, Thran Physician is legal in Historic, and can combo quite easily with our wolf. You just need an aristocrat effect around to win the game on the spot. Oh, you don't have one? You are lucky to have two wolfs in your side, so you can draw cards until you hit it. Who needs Griselbrand?

• Midweek Magic - G Stompy

A classic green philosophy: "go big and trample them"! We have ways to accelerate our curve to reach the top of our mana curve as soon as possible and some card draw to keep the pressure. Interaction? Well... "go big and trample them"! (ok, some fight or damage spells could be useful, fine...)
Jewel Thief was quite good while the meta in standart revolved around The Wandering Emperor, but the highlight of the deck could not be dedicated to another card if not to another fundamental point of a magic game: mana. You need mana to cast spells (generally), so accelerate your mana curve can be decisive to a game. A classic green philosophy: "mana, elf, go" . So we have both Llanowar Elves and Elvish Mystic fullfilling this position. G devotion, Elves, Gruul Stompy, Greasefang... so many decks where the difference when landing your haymaker a turn earlier can be the path to the victory.

• Midweek Magic - Jeskai affinity

Affinity. Indeed a powerful mechanic that dominates even the most powerful formats. Here we have a deck which resembles to the Pauper version. We have many sinergies here: indestructible lands and Cleansing Wildfire, Kor Skyfisher to recast different artifacts (like Navigator Compass to gain life), Etherium Spinner (the central point of this build) and big creatures to swarm the board. Relic of Progenitus is a great common graveyard hate...
Yet, I didn't showed my true highlight. Like I said, this is a very personal interpretation, and those cards are amazing and there are many more that didn't make the final list (Ichor Wellspring and Gearseeker Serpent just to name a few). But there is a simples card that deserves your attention. It is so simple but you can see it in many different formats and strategies: Thraben Inspector. A simple 1/2 that investigates. You can find it in Pauper, Pioneer, Explorer (hello again, convoke decks). Because of his cheap cost and resistent body, his delayed draw, his ability to produce an artifact. He was always there. And I hope to see him for a long time.
Thraben Inspector: “If you’ve been at this as long as I have, nothing can surprise you. That’s the hope, at least.”

• Midweek Magic - BW Deathless

And here we are to the last, but not least important deck! This decks revolves around Breathless Knight, a 2/2 creature with flying and lifelink for 3 mana. Not amazing even for pauper standards, but it can grow if a creature (or himself) enters the battlefield from your graveyard (or if you cast it from there).
Again, Putrid Goblin and Deadly Dispute are amazing magic cards and I will stress that again (I think you can notice a pattern when I say that Carrion Feeder is my favorite card...), but as I said before, my intention is to not repeat the same cards, it's boring... but they are staples. They simply are powerful. Sure, Recomission can be very effective, but you shouldn't play it instead of a Priest of Fell Rites in a Greasefang deck, for example.

Common cards, with extraordinary powers.
Even some forgettable card like Breathless Knight or Bayou Groff can be amazing in the right situation, with the right sinergy. Limited formats even bring the light of day to a random 2/3 lifelink creature.
Every card contain extraordinary powers. And we choose them to make them special. That's magic.

I legally changed my name over a year ago and Chase is the only bank that still has not updated my name despite the fact that I have provided every legal document they could possibly want or need. I have done this with dozens of other financial accounts successfully. Chase even made me come in person to a branch to change my name on my checking account, but it turned out that it had no affect on my credit cards.

That's why this is the only one that's not done after over a year.

Long story short, I just exposed someone for multi-accounting. he's a Lt. Col. his name is JYM1971SMOKINWEED. I'll spare you the details on how I found out (and no, this isn't suspicion, I have 100% confirmed it).

A bit spontaneously I ordered a new TV: HISENSE 43A6BG

While I'm waiting for it to arrive I'm already wondering if I made a mistake because it's not with Android TV OS, but with some fancy Vidaa OS that it turns out I won't be able to install Kodi on.
At the moment, I use TV box M8S Plus/M8S+ TV Box Amlogic S812 with LibreELEC, but with it I am limited to Kodi 19. (there is no support for v.20 for such an old TV box..)
So, the question is - should I keep this Hisense TV , or return it to buy a TV that runs on Android OS?
In general - can standard Android Smart TVs run Kodi without issues?
Or it is better always to use an external hardware to run Kodi - i.e. Firestick, Chromecast with Google TV, etc.
I'm not very clear if Android TVs are preferable to those with a fictional OS of the sort and this Chinese Vidaa OS... thanks in advance

I just fuck up, after fuck up, after fuck up and it's just exhausting.
For example, I don't treat myself to travel often but my friend has a show this weekend. I booked a last minute airbnb after convincing myself into it. I knew airbnb was shady but I had no other options and bought travelers insurance.
Turns out it's two weekends from now, and the travelers insurance won't really cover shit. I'm trying to request a change of date. If that fails I'll lie and say I have covid but they can require a doctor's note. And even if I was sick, my doctor is on vacation for a week. There's a chance even though I tried to change it within 10 minutes of booking that I won't get my money back because I didn't pay attention.
These type of events happen to me all the time. Every day. Small fuck ups and large. I can write things down, I can reread things back and fourth. I wasn't as diligent reading this time as I usually am, I admit that. But I could go into a full novel of all the other times I did my research, and prepared, and took my medication, and thought I was taking the right precautions. And I just fail.
By any other definition, this would be called stupid. That's what I am. I don't care if I'm not supposed to call it that, how else am I supposed to feel every fucking day when the result keeps coming up the same.
