In defense of Son Goku; an analysis of Goku VS Superman
2023.03.11 16:14 Dekerboi In defense of Son Goku; an analysis of Goku VS Superman
Goku VS Superman One of the most well known debates on the internet that has sparked countless arguments for literal decades. Today I feel like giving my two-cents on the whole ordeal, as this subreddit in particular is a bit too harsh to Goku in my opinion. To ensure no questions are left unanswered, I will be acknowledging every official resource for both combatants (such as DBZ Kai), though the original writings hold precedence; no mistranslations allowed. Also
since DC has made
everything essentially canon. For the purposes of the post, I will be using Pre-Crisis, Post-Crisis, New 52 and Rebirth feats for Superman.
Goku's Stats
Goku at this point should be massively stronger than Kid Buu who had the power to make the universe
go "poof", this is
confirmed by one of kanzenshuu translators (Herms)
twice. Kid Buu had the power to destroy the
Grand Kaio's planet (
9.96e+130J, or 866 Sexdecillion times universal). In his fight against Beerus. Their clash
nearly destroyed the entirety of
Universe 7, a cosmological structure
284916 times greater than ours. Uh, side note, it's worth mentioning that when two Gods of Destruction fought, they were capable of casually destroying two of these universes. Goku
absorbed SSG into his base form. According to
this post, to get the SSG multiplier we get this: 284916 X 50 X 2 X 4 X 400 X 50 X 20 = 45 Trillion times universal for Kaioken times 20 Goku in SSB. For another method. In BOG SSG was stated to be
>Vegetto, Goku later on would
absorb SSG into his base form. This is important because both Goku & Vegeta can scale to Buu's
Grand Kaio feat, especially Goku, as he was shown
even physically to Buu, his Kamehameha reduced Buu to
little bits and he could've obliterated Buu if he wasn't
screwing around and "tried to act cool". Vegeta did
fare worse than Goku, but he was able to still
hurt Buu, since we know SSJ3 is a
4x increase from SSJ2; Vegeta would downscale Buu's feat by four. 9.96e+130 X 2.49e+130 = 2.48004e+261J, 2.1 Sexagintillion times universal (183 zeroes btw) for Vegetto, which base Goku post SSG absorption would upscale from.
Like stated earlier, Vegetto is
Goku X Vegeta and SSG is >Vegetto, this means the multiplier would be above both the SSJ 2 & 3 multipliers overall (400 x 100), Goku had SSJ3
(400x) and Vegeta had SSJ2
(100x), the total would equate to 40,000x. MUI Goku is
stronger than Granolah, who wished to be the strongest mortal, putting him above Broly, who
fought Gogeta, who is
equal to
Vegetto and is also
Goku X Vegeta like Potara Fusion. So it goes a little like this: 2.158433e+183 X 50 (SSJ1) X 2 (SSJ2) X 4 (SSJ3) X 40,000 (SSG) X 50 (SSB) X 20 (SSBKK) X 40,000 (MUI) = 1.587225e+276J, 1.381397e+198 times universal for MUI Goku. That's around 1.3 Quinsexagintillion.
The universe is
infinite in size giving Goku infinite times universal strength.
As for speed. In his fight against Beerus. Their clash nearly destroyed the entirety of
Universe 7 and sent shockwaves across the universe getting
Quintillions of times faster than light. In the Buu saga Goku going SSJ3 shook the
universe, sending shockwaves felt by Otherworld, which gets
1.2 Quintillion c#Goku_shakes_the_Macrocosm). Using the same multipliers here for the strength segment for Goku: 1.2208139e+18xFTL X 1.2208139e+18xFTL = 1.4903866e+36xFTL. 1.4903866e+36 X 50 (SSJ1) X 2 (SSJ2) X 4 (SSJ3) X 40,000 (SSG) X 50 (SSB) X 20 (SSBKK) X 40,000 (MUI) = 9.5384742e+50xFTL, 953 Quindecillion times the speed of light for MUI Goku.
Speed in Dragon Ball increases simultaneously with strength; if Goku had infinite strength, he would also have infinite speed.
Superman's Stats
Now you're probably asking, how does Superman compare to this? Well, not as good as you'd think. Superman’s
upper-limits are on the level of planet moving. When Superman attempted to
destroy the Earth alongside other heroes while moving at max speed, the Earth had
absolutely zero visible damage whatsoever. Superman has himself said that
Martian Manhunter is more powerful than him, and in order for Martian Manhunter to destroy the moon
he has to shapeshift into a much larger form while flying at max speed with assistance from bombs and even then, he only gives himself a 50% chance of destroying the moon, and he finds the notion of
moving planets absurd. Superman himself
alongside Wonder Woman, Kyle Rayner, Martian Manhunter, Power Girl and the Marvel Family strain to move the moon. Superman
needed the entire Green Lantern Corps and a Multiverse army of Supermen to simply help him move the Earth. Superman says
moving a planetoid-sized spore is beyond his power.
It took Superman all his strength to move the planet that had about 80% of Earth's mass just 13 meters. Superman admits that there's only one being in the universe capable of destroying a world. And that being is not him... but Darkseid. When
faced with a planet wiping collision from a massive monitor ship, Superman and Ultraman can’t take the strain and
dump the ship on an abandoned earth. Superman was
even unable to stand after being hit with the power of the Earth’s core. Superman was
literally being crushed by gravity akin to a Star’s And was
no-sold by Metallo with the power of the Earth’s magnetic field. Superman can’t stop
a spaceship from falling into a Black Hole, and requires
Green Lantern’s help. Superman, alongside Wonder Woman and Kyle Rayner,
completely struggle in trying to move the moon and Superman even says he couldn’t do it again given twice the stakes. Superman
needs to sleep for a month after Green Lantern helped him move the Earth back into orbit. Superman states he has nothing like the power to
push planets around, and Lois states Superman moving planets
is ludicrous.
Got hurt by brussel sprouts,
a machine with continent level strength pushes Superman to the limit and he nearly
passes out from the effort.
As for speed. He is stated multiple times to be slower than the
speed of light. Stat Comparison
As evident Goku takes stats by a country mile. Giving Superman a bone and saying he's equal to the GBE of earth then Goku is 7.9 Octogintillion times stronger using finite ends; he's actually FTL, unlike Superman, who isn't.
Regarding Misconceptions
"Superman resists Hakai"
Now it's sorta confusing on why people state this. There's no evidence that Superman can survive erasure, infact,
it's implied to be the opposite. "Superman is universal!"
No he isn't.
Firestorm808 debunked most of the feats, a very trustworthy source if I do say myself. Universal feats in DC are usually out of context. For example, Hal's U-Bomb feat?
Only the energy of a supernova. Infinite pages?
Limbo doesn't have any physics, there's no mass as there's no materiality, it's a living memory. Category error. Lifting Spectre who weighs eternity? That's a unit of time, not mass, once again category error.
Tertiary Factors
Superman is pretty good at fighting but probably not that good since he
lost to Ali. Ali is good, but compared to Goku? No way Jose! Even Cell, who had the skill of Goku and multiple other characters combined, couldn't
out-skill Goku. The Skill widens even more with MUI smh.
Conclusion
Now, we can keep throwing feats and equations around, but in the end, numbers cannot measure what Goku and Superman are capable of. Ultimately, Goku vs Superman comes down to a difference of limits and purpose. What happens when you put an illegal immigrant raised in Kansas that wears spandex against another illegal immigrant who beats up other immigrants? Well, only one is beating up other immigrants in the first place. But that's exactly what makes him such a memorable character. Think about it. If you had a Superman that was as powerful as Goku, would you even want him? The Winner is Son Goku. Amen.

2022.07.18 16:00 keeper_of_moon Glamour Tools and Methods
Inspired by a question in the Daily Questions thread, I thought I'd make a post documenting the tools I personally use for creating glamours. I am also interested in what tools or methods I might be missing out on.
Final Fantasy XIV
First and foremost, FFXIV already has several tools at your disposal to create glams. I'm not going to go over the glamour dresser or glamour plates, I simply want to go over the tools I use to create a glam that ends up on a plate.
- Fitting Room - Most people should already know about this one but if for some reason someone doesn't, the fitting room window can be accessed by right clicking a piece of gear or item link and selecting "Try On". There are a couple of additional options at the bottom of the window compared to the Character window:
- Display Gear - Useful when adding to/modifying a glam already in use
- Save Delete Outfit - Use this to try on multiple pieces of gear, unselect it to clear the window except for the most recent piece.
- Dye Preview - Within the Fitting room, there is also an option for dye previews. Simply right click a piece of gear in the fitting room and select "Enable Dye Prevew". This will open up a new window that allows you to select any dye and apply it to the piece in the fitting room preview. While incredibly useful, it does not have 100% accurate lighting and sometimes you will need to just spend a dye to figure out how it will look in-game.
- /itemsearch - The /itemsearch, or /isearch, command was primarily intended to help players locate where a particular piece of gear is located in their inventory but it also creates an item link to the piece searched in the chat log
regardless of whether or not you actually have the piece. You can right click the item link and try on the piece so its incredibly useful for pieces you do not yet have. Edit: as u/TheFrozenDragon has pointed out, unfortunately, you cannot get links to pieces you do not yet have. As long as you know the full or partial name of a piece of gear, you can try it on. This is particularly useful for dungeon and alliance raid gear which does not have vendors to link from. It also works for gear from the online store. - Market Board, Vendors, and Dreamfitting - If you don't know the name of the piece you're looking for or you're just looking to browse pieces in-game, the vast majority of gear in FFXIV can be found and linked from the Market Board or Vendors. Dreamfitting at the inn room bed will also allow you to try on and link gear from the online store. Notable vendors to consider:
- Raid and Tome Vendors - all the gear from each raid tier can be found at vendors in the secondary sanctuary for the expansion: Mor Dhona (for tome gear), Idyllshire, Rhalgr's Reach, Eulmore, and Radz-at-Han (Note: Coils gear has replicas that can be found on the MB).
- Hunt Vendors - Hunt vendors also have gear that can't be found anywhere else. With the exception of ARR and HW (grand companies and foundation only), there is a hunt vendor in every expansion city and secondary sanctuary, usually near the hunt board.
- Wolves' Den Vendors - There's also a lot of exclusive gear available in PVP, most of which can be exchanged for wolf marks.
- Eureka and Bozja Vendors - While significantly more time consuming to obtain than other options, there is exclusive gear that can be tried on in Anemos, Pyros, Hydatos, Bozjan Southern Front, Gangos, and Zadnor.
- Link and /echo - If you're like me and travel to all these vendors trying on different pieces, its useful to save a link in chat so that you don't have to constantly travel back and forth between vendors to re-try on each piece. To do this, right click the piece you'd like to save, select Link. Before hitting enter in chat, add /echo or /e to the beginning of the line and it will save a link only you can see. You can also use Link to share pieces with other people in chat. And this goes both ways. If you don't have or know the name of a specific piece but would like a link to it, you can also try asking for someone to link a piece.
Eorzea Collection by far is the most popular website to share glams and seek inspiration. They have also recently restarted cataloguing gearsets similar to Armory Collection and is useful in that aspect as well.
Using Eorzea collection is rather straightforward but the Glamour (and Gearset) search notably provide:
- Search by Job - limit glams that work with the job you're trying to glam
- Search by Level - useful if you're not max level or are glaming Eureka/Bozja gear.
- Search "Using" (Glam search only) - if you have a piece you want to use in mind, you can use this option to see how other people have used that piece and what pieces that they have matched with it.
- Order By "Loves" (Glam search only) - Now this is subjective and there isn't an objectively good solution to this because EC is, to some degree, a way to share gposes in addition to glams but ordering by loves tends to prioritize more useful posts first in my experience.
- Content Type (Gearset search only) - search for pieces from specific content such as raids or dungeons. In my opinion, this is where EC loses out to Armory Collection in terms of functionality.
One small warning I will give about EC: there is no standardization to showing off glams on EC and posters often use shaders and/or other visual mods. What looks good on EC may not look the same in-game.
I've read some comments that some people don't want to use EC when creating their glam because they want to be original and not simply copy a glam. To this I will say 2 things:
- It is not unoriginal to seek inspiration from other people's work. Artists don't just look at their own work.
- You do not have to copy a glam 1 to 1: you can see what pieces work, see what pieces you think would be an improvement using other posts or tools and make the glam your own.
I'm not trying to force Eorzea Collection on people, I've made several glams without it. But I don't want people to disregard it entirely for this reason either.
This a Japanese website but there is an
English option in the top right corner. It is very similar to EC's gearset search but has a few more options and is more complete and consistent. This is useful to look at gearsets and individual pieces without bias from how others have used it on EC. It's also a quick way to look up how a specific piece of gear looks.
I am mentioning this one not just because it's a great resource for crafting glams but primarily because of the
Shared Models function. A lot of models for gear in this game are reused. If you've found a piece that's perfect for your glam but is the wrong job, there is a chance that it exists for the job you want as a different piece of gear. This is especially true for casting/healing gear and fending/melee gear. It's also useful if you're looking for a dyeable version of gear or a craftable version of dungeon/raid gear or even just a different trim color. Search for the piece in Garland tools, select the Shared Models tab (only exists if there is a shared model) and it will display gear with the same base model.
Other Tools
I don't personally use these extensively but here are some more tools I found:
- The Lodestone - Official guide with every piece in the game, people will often post images of each piece of gear. Usually the top result if you google a piece of gear.
- FFXIV Web Model Viewer - Try on different glam pieces and dye without running the game.
- Miraprisn- JP's version of Eorzea Collection. Used to share glams.
- Chiyo Asakura's FFXIV Attire - JP gposer who's provided a lot of images for gearsets on the lodestone. High quality and consistent images.
Methods and Miscellaneous
The primary intent of my post was to list the tools available for anyone to create a glam of their own but I thought I'd also write up the method I generally use when making a glam.
When first creating a glam, I will usually have a job in mind I want to glam. I usually search through Eorzea Collection and/or Armory Collection for that job but sometimes I just visit each vendor and link potential pieces I like in chat. I try to select 1 or 2 pieces I want to glam around, usually a top and weapon. If I feel the need for inspiration, I'll search EC to see how other people have used that piece but usually, I am now familiar enough with all pieces in game that I go directly to Armory Collection or /isearch it in game. I'll link a bunch of potential pieces in chat and try on a variety of different pieces until I think I've found something that'll work, using dye previews along the way. If it works, I'll make a glam plate and verify that the dyes work well with in-game lighting.
Some final random thoughts I had:
- As far as dying goes, it's usually better to dye the piece, not the glam plate, especially if using an expensive dye like pure white/jet black. I do this because I don't have enough glam plates for all my glams and often rotate what glams I am using. If I want to use a piece in 2 different glams, I dye it with the more expensive dye and dye the plate for the other glam.
- Collecting pieces strains your inventory but will give you a lot of familiarity with pieces in the game. I now have 6 retainers almost entirely full of glam pieces. Collect at your own risk/budget.
- If you're having inventory issues, try to keep end-game dungeon, savage raid, and alliance raid gear as it is a very time intensive process to re-obtain.
- Tops are sometimes made of 2 varieties, sleeves up and sleeves down versions and will often look very different. You can force sleeve up versions with certain hand pieces such as Ravel Keeper's Handgloves of Casting/Healing or Eastern Lady Errant's Gloves.
- A lot of pieces in this game modify your characters model most notably the Nier alliance raid gear. If your character is female, some tops force a bust size like the Dirndl's Bodice.
And that's it! I hope this was useful for anyone who glams but I don't consider this a complete guide. If you have any tools or tips, please let me know.

2021.12.20 13:01 HayleyGeeker Hats for reaper?
Hey warriors.
In dire need here for some help with hats for reaper. I'm doing glam for my lala reaps, however hat offerings aren't great. I'm going for an Abraham Lincoln is a vampire slayer style, almost bloodborne I suppose. Currently in scholasticate coat, No2 type B boots, and some wee gloves, and death scythe from collectors EW, and the survival hat. All black with red accents.
I have found the dream hat but only available on ninja, the tigerskin tricorne of scouting. This is pretty much what I'm looking for. Huge brimmed shmexy hat.
https://eu.finalfantasyxiv.com/lodestone/playguide/db/item/14bd6bbdf7c Would consider other options like top hats or something similar.
Hats I've tried that don't look right: -Currently in survival hat -Straw capline and straw hat but material looks obvious -Maelstrom hats -Snakeskin Bush hat -Other tricornes on mb but too small
Please throw me some ideas. I have of course looked at eorzea collection but nothing I'm looking for eek. I'm unsure what dungeon drops would look awesome.
Thank you so much ❤️

2021.12.03 20:21 off-and-on A discussion about Endwalker gear
Having looked at the MB for the new level 81-90 gear added in EW, it seems that the only new models there are for the level 90 Magitek weapons. All the rest are just repainted versions of existing gear like Fae arms, Skallic and neo-Ishgardian armor. And according to the Eorzea Database gear awarded from the main dungeons added in EW are also all reskins,
like one entry using Shadowless models. This all feels very blatant and even lazy.
Also, and I don't know if this is for some other reason, but there's only one set of level 90 gear visible on the MB. No greens or blues.

2021.10.27 16:27 GracefulGlider Must-Have Record Materia (2021 Edition)
Last updated: 27 October 2021
Hi everyone! It's been a
good 3 years since the previous version (EDIT: It has since been pointed out to me that this post has been converted to a fairly updated
Wiki Page. I plan to help update that in the future instead of making more of these. Meanwhile, I have refocused this list into just ideal endgame options, while noting some niche options for interesting strategies. Comment below what you think!).
Autobattle can now be set to use abilities, negating the need for RMs that change the basic Attack (although you could still use those RMs for a variety of reasons). Stat Buffs have gotten more ubiquitous on our chains, bards, and our top tier supports, ensuring that we're almost never below softcap anymore. Growth eggs are now at a surplus for everyone except the newest of players. We have
a better much more understanding of DeNa's inconsistent naming and code. Community legends like
Enlir &
MysteriousMisterP have come and gone.
I thought about updating this list by
KatipunanCowboy thanks to chats with some friends about how our preconceived notions of RMs were actually false and we've been equipping our parties ineffectively. I'm revising this to be more in-line with Enlir's now Community-run Database. Terminology will now follow what I believe are widely-accepted conventions and abbreviations. Practical usability and endgame use is prioritized (thus RMs like Rinoa's Sorceress Vow, which is technically the best unconditional BLK damage boost RM have been omitted because most mages can simply use the stronger weapon-related BLK RMs for a more multiplicative boost). I'm also cleaning up the Special Thanks section because some links are dead now or may not be relevant.
Did I miss any RM worth mentioning? Or deleted some actually useful ones? Do you think Dualcast RMs still deserve to be here? Have any suggestions on what links should be included below? I welcome any feedback on how we can make this list more useful!

Setting up quick initial turns
Character | Realm | RM# | RM Name | Description |
Zack | VII | RM99 | Worthy Hero | ATK and DEF +10%, grants Haste at the beginning of the battle |
Marcus | IX | RM99 | Noble Thief | ATK and DEF +10%, grants Haste at the beginning of the battle |
Noel | XIII | RM99 | Life's Protector | ATK and RES +10%, grants Haste at the beginning of the battle |
Montblanc | T | RM65b | Born Leader | MAG +10%, grants Haste at the beginning of the battle |
Kelger | V | RM65 | Lupine Swiftness | 50% chance to begin the round with full ATB gauge |
Zell | VIII | RM50b | Raw Power | 50% chance to begin the round with full ATB gauge |
In some Autobattle setups, you can stick one or two of these onto a character to force certain characters to use the RW and Magicite/Historia, and more importantly, have important SBs such as Support AASBs or Healer G+ be used immediately. I think the first four are the best choices for "Start with Haste" RMs due to the persistent MAG, DEF, and RES buffs. The last two are reportedly still handy for speeding up farming setups.
Niche RMs
Character | Realm | RM# | RM Name | Description | Use Case |
Orlandeau | T | RM99 | Gathering Storm | Grants Thunder God's Might (Cast speed x3 for 25 seconds) at the beginning of the battle | May be more useful than other nondamage options in sub30 runs |
Kimahri | X | RM99 | Unyielding Resolve | Attack turns into Jump | Used to evade problematic attacks on a given slot (e.g. 6* Magicite Leviathan Doom, X DB Petrify) |
Amarant | IX | RM99 | Flaming Stand | Grants Last Stand at the beginning of the battle | Used to tank an early heavy ST hit (e.g. III DB) |
Cor | XV | RM99 | Venerable Leader | Grants Last Stand at the beginning of the battle | ^ |
Noctis | XV | RM50 | Sleeping Prince | ATK and DEF +10%, causes Sleep at the beginning of the battle | Used in Auto-Lab setups to prevent an emergency healer (usually Tyro) from acting unless needed |
Berserker | Core | RM65b | Berserker | ATK+10% causes Berserk at the beginning of the battle | If you need to prevent someone from acting during Dreams Farming for some reason, this is a good 2nd option. |

I'm trying to be a little sailor boy in this free trial, but finding it difficult without marketplace or being able to trade with players. Currently level 30.
I really want this item:

2021.08.05 16:18 The-Knyght How do you interpret learning/using Yin Release or Yang Release?
Characters learning one of the five main nature transformations is as common as dirt in fanfic, but I've never seen
anyone deal with learning it for
yin and/or yang. We know it's typically used for hiden ninjutsu, genjutsu, and medical ninjutsu are based on it, and that some characters have learned those natures e.g. Tsunade has yang nature, Sakura has yin and yang, Shikamaru has yin, and so on.
Not that I blame writers for not going there because instead of it being explained with the other elements (
thanks, captains), we were just drip fed bits of information years later. Even the chapter that
explains them is frustratingly vague and the
db page isn't much better.
So how do you transform your chakra into something "founded upon mental/physical energies"?
My interpretation actually comes from Tayuya's Revolt of the Demon World. Shikamaru recognises Tayuya's techniques as using
special chakra like his own, and that her technique being chakra that is
mostly spiritual energy but unstable because of it. And per Fukasaku, regular ninjutsu chakra comes from
mixing/
balancing mental and physical energy.
So I think ying/yang chakra exists somewhere in between. Yin chakra has more mental energy than physical energy and yang chakra has more physical energy than mental energy, but not enough that it becomes unstable. Like a 75:25 split instead of the 50:50 used for ordinary ninjutsu (with Tayuya's technique something like 90:10).
Too little and it's ordinary chakra, too much and it's unstable. Learning their nature transformations would mean learning to create chakra with
just the right amount of each energy to create yin/yang chakra. You'd master the nature by being able to consistently use the correct ratio to create chakra type in whatever quantity you need.
Those are my thoughts on it anyway.
How would you handle Yin Release and Yang Release yourself?
Bonus Question: Which ninjutsu do you think might fall under one of those chakra natures?

2021.07.18 16:56 erisia I have seen a lot of questions about resource websites and wowhead equivalents and here is my answer that I hope will be useful. ( Also check out the official links on the side of the subreddit as some of these pages are already there. Its really useful to check out)
Dislaimer: These are going in technically no specific order just what I think is important please don't @me because a specific site is not near the top of the list. A lot of these sites have crossover too because they want to be the main place you go for FF14 info. I will be specifically excluding sites like FFlogs or xivanalysis and tools like ACT or GShade because they are against TOS.
This is going to be a long one and not a comprehensive list. If you feel like I am missing any important sites please list them in the comments so that other players can know about them. and if you don't want to read it all Zepla HQ had an informative vid with some of the sites mentioned that I am linking right here.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hBiUw1ltQaA&t=810s Ok the one that most people forget exists is the Lodestone made by Square itself, explore what it has to offer. I am specifically linking hud text commands for when you inevitably want to toggle ui elements on and off, '/hud ahelp toggle' is part of a macro I use all the time.
https://na.finalfantasyxiv.com/lodestone/playguide/db/text_command/be2b72ee3f6/ This site has probably been mentioned the most, and for good reason, it is one of the most comprehensive databases available.
https://ffxiv.gamerescape.com/ Like gamerescape this has a lot of information that you can dig through. It's not my fave but it deserves a shoutout.
https://ffxiv.consolegameswiki.com/wiki/FF14_Wiki Akhmorning has a little bit of everything poke around and see if it is the site for you.
https://www.akhmorning.com/ Feel like you are not reaching your full potential in combat? Check out the balance and see if it helps you improve your gameplay.
https://thebalanceffxiv.com/ Next on the list is Teamcraft this is one of the most useful tools for crafters and gatherers and a whole lot more. The Teamcraft team is always adding new features.
https://ffxivteamcraft.com/search Love Ocean Fishing but want to do better? This has times and baits in an easily navigable interface.
https://ffxiv.pf-n.co/ocean-fishing Want a list of the upcoming weather, just the weather and nothing else. Check out Eorzea Weather, because you will have that fish on a plate or get that ARR vista even if you have to get up at 3 am to do it.
https://eorzea-weather.info/en Want that vista but don't want to keep track of the weather? Sightseeing Log Helper is there to...help. (Reminder that you can't grab the later ARR vistas until you unlock the first 20.)
https://tylian.net/sslog/ Getting into gardening because the Market Board is charging 250k for a single piece of Jute? FFXIV Gardening has got your back.
https://ffxivgardening.com/index.php Want to find a piece of gear or see if it has a dyeable reskin? Check out garland tools. It has a lot of other functionality that you should check out too but that is mostly what I use it for.
http://www.garlandtools.org/db/# Ariyala's Toolkit is great for experimenting with gear melding and food stats without having to dedicate the actual resources and helps you find a path on how you want to end game your gear.
https://ffxiv.ariyala.com/BTN FFXIV Collect is your one stop shop anything that is collectible...except Triple Triad.
https://ffxivcollect.com/ Next is Triple Triad, I am going to be listing 2 separate sites because they are both equally useful. For arrtripletriad it looks like the home page has not been updated, but the card list has
https://triad.raelys.com/ https://arrtripletriad.com/en/cards Just starting Eureka and wondering why everyone is asking for a tracker? They are talking about this. It will also help you keep track of your logograms.
https://ffxiv-eureka.com/ Want a map for eureka but you also want it to do more than the one in the site above?
https://www.ffxiv-interactive-eureka-maps.com/#/ Want to get into the house decorating game look no farther than FFXIV Housing where you get previews of what objects look like before you invest in them.
https://en.ff14housing.com/ Want to see someone else's house and be jealous that you will never get that good at floating walls and tables? FFXIV Home and Garden will have you wanting to make changes to your house and spending millions of gil.
https://www.reddit.com/ffxivhomeandgarden/ Moved on from just having to a house to manage and now have the FC workshop in your hands too? This google doc will be able to help you plan what airship/sub you want to build next.
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1-j0a-I7bQdjnXkplP9T4lOLPH2h3U_-gObxAiI4JtpA/htmlview# Are you a veteran who knows about all of these site and have been rolling your eyes the whole time? I bet your hud is using all 10 bars and your screen is more cluttered than a website without adblock. This link will walk you through the process of cleaning up your HUD
