2023.06.09 05:44 chanma50 'Black Adam' was of course a flop, but in hindsight, its domestic opening was actually kinda surprising considering the state of its franchise and how the DCEU has performed since.
Black Adam cost anywhere between $190M to $260M, and (despite the protestations of Dwayne Johnson) lost a ton of money off a gross of $168M DOM/$393M WW.
Yet, it still opened to $67M in North America. That's by no means a particularly good number. But, compared with other recent DCEU films, it's kind of surprising that it did as well as it did.
The film stars a largely unknown character, supported by a team of also unknown characters. The strength of the DCEU brand was already in the toilet, so unlike a new MCU franchise, there's nothing to support it. Basically The Rock was its one and only selling point.
That was reflected in presales, which were heading to a possible sub-$50M 10 days out. Yet, The Rock was still able to drag it to a $67M opening, appealing to general audiences that just showed up to see a Dwayne Johnson action movie, rather than a DC movie necessarily.
The next DCEU film, Shazam! Fury of the Gods, turned out to be one of the biggest superhero duds in recent memory, opening to just $30M (or 45% of Black Adam). That film's total domestic gross fell almost $10M short of Black Adam's opening alone. While that film didn't have as big a star as The Rock, it's still a sequel to a decently successful film, and even if you argue that it was always likely to make less, it shouldn't be making that much less.
Now, The Flash is pacing to open only marginally higher than Black Adam. The film came onto tracking at $70-75M (ironically same as Black Adam originally did). More recent projections from BoxOfficeTheory have coalesced around the $65-85M range, while BoxOfficePro analyst Shawn Robbins is targeting $75-80M.
That's despite a much better known main character, as well as the presence of recognizable characters like Supergirl and Batman (multiple, in fact) in major roles. Reviews are also better (74% vs 38% on RT), and it'll presumably get better word of mouth (not a high bar). WB has also mounted a massive, everyone-gets-an-advance-screening marketing campaign, with executives and celebrity influencers swearing for months that it's the greatest thing since sliced bread.
But the fact that at the moment, it's not leaving Black Adam's opening in the dust is concerning, to say the least. Because an opening on the lower end of the range, and even just average legs of 2.5x (so not even anywhere near a BvS-level crash) gets it to, well, a Black Adam total.
Amusingly enough, Black Adam also compares somewhat favourbly to another The Rock-adjacent film, Fast X, which opened all of $13K higher.
Black Adam was never going to be a success at that insane budget. It could have broken even at a $150M budget, and been decently profitable (see: Shazam!) at a $100M budget. But in terms of raw gross, it could have performed a lot worse.

Some of my favorite connections in her songs and some reasoning on the chapters:
- I didn't put Dear John/WCS in the first chapter because I feel like that's more trauma that she's processed than how she views/deals with heartbreak in relationships
- I added songs from 1989 that I thought would frame her best to transition to her mess chapter
- "25 years old, how were you to know?" from DWOHT and "How's one to know?" in ivy - I wrote a whole thesis on it here and how it all ties with High Infidelity
- Bejeweled at the start of her "mess era" and how "a diamond's gotta shine" up till the end in Maroon with "the rubies that I gave up"
- Chapter 3 is just her being horny lol
- The songs in Ch.4 are the ones that I think address her anxiety in the relationship more, as opposed to more concrete conflicts in Ch.7
- In willow where she stresses "there was one prize I'd cheat to win" and you know she cheated to be with him
- Ch.6 I wanted some kind of transitions between Lavender Haze where she claims she doesn't want to be pressured into being his bride, to Paper Rings, to Lover (where it is obviously a wedding theme), so London Boy and Paris are between those songs
- I was considering putting ME! in Ch.6 vs Ch.7 just because of how happy it sounds, but when you look at the lyrics it's really more of "I know it's sometimes bad, but it can still be good" kind of situation, it's really bargaining - "You'll never find another like me"
- I didn't put the sad songs they wrote together as its own chapter, but instead as an interlude because... I felt like it was too short lol, and they were supposedly fiction
- In Ch.8 I kept with what Aaron said about hoax and the 1 being bookends of folklore, so it just made sense for me to keep them as is
- Ch.8 You're Losing Me vs Maroon with the "I chose you, I lost you" theme
- Ch.8, I know DBATC wasn't written with their breakup, but it still matches very well especially when you compare it with Cornelia Street: "as if the streetlights pointed in an arrowhead leading us home" vs "I ask the traffic lights if it'll be alright, they say I don't know"

❔My game isn’t loading! / import the seed first by locating the game within FBI → Titles → Selecting the game → Import seed. If that doesn't work, try switching the games region to whatever it is with Luma Locale Switcher. If the game is USA then switch the region of it to USA and try loading it again. For certain games, like Luigi's Mansion and Tomodachi Life, you need the right region for the game to work. If you can't get games to work please comment below for help.
❔ Whatever happened to Freeshop? / Nintendo killed it, along with all other programs that get games from Eshop servers. They are permanently dead. Try the HShop
❔ Can I update to the latest update? / Yes. Update Luma to the latest stable release and then update your system software.
❔ I found a .CIA - now what? / Put it on your SD card and use an installer like FBI to install the game.
❔ Can I get banned for pirating games? / Yes and No. It has happened in the past, but it's been years since any bans. Nintendo does not know if your console is hacked. They do not know if you are playing games you installed from a .CIA. Don't cheat while playing online and you should be fine. 3DS is dead now anyway so Nintendo seems to have giving up.
❔ How can I install games if I don't have access to the SD card? / Use Boop (Use version 1.4.0 if the game you're sending is 1GB or larger) or FTPD. Boop is PC only while FTP can be done via PC or your phone. Boop guide and FTP Phone guide for Android and Apple. FTP is easy to use on PC just use a FTP app like Filezilla.
❔ If I have a pirated copy of Pokémon, can I use the Pokébank? / Yes. You do need to pay the yearly fee to use Pokébank and no you can't hack it to use it for free. You can also use PKSM on your 3DS or PKHEX on your PC for a free alternative. See this guide for more helpful Pokémon information.
❔ Can I upgrade my SD Card? / Yes. If you want to upgrade your SD card all you need to do is format the new card to Fat32 and copy the entire contents of your old card to the new one. Cards up to 256GB seem to work fine. 128GB and bigger SD cards should be formatted with 64KB clusters or else GBA VC Injects may have display problems.
❔ Can I pop in my SD card into a non hacked console and have my games playable? / No, it doesn't work like that. Even a hacked console can't use the same SD card you have in another system. Nintendo made the 3DS locked to a single system with the SD card. Meaning it only works on the one system it's tied to.

Hack the system you wish to system transfer to first (I would advise you to back up your saves with checkpoint before doing the transfer in case anything happens) Then do the system transfer. Once done use Faketik to restore your CIA installed games.
❔ I have some .3ds files how do I convert them to .cia, or Install them to my device? / If you want to do a conversion on your 3DS use this guide. If you want to do it on your PC use this program. If you want to install them directly you can do so by using Godmode9.

- Download 3DS & VC games as CIA files directly to 3DS via HShop.
- Run CIA files via the FBI app. Use the FBI app to scan QR codes and download games that way. Only works for 3DS games and VC’s, not NDS games. See /3dsqrcodes
- GodMode9 - this should already be installed on your 3DS if you followed the CFW guide. How to rip game cartridges via GodMode9.
- Turn any rom into a CIA file via New Super Ultimate Injector 3DS, an application that allows you to inject Nes, Snes, GameBoy, GameBoy Color, GameBoy Advance, Mega Drive, Game Gear and TurbiGrafx 16 roms in to the 3DS.

- Copy your .sav file to roms/nds/saves/ and name it the same as the ROM but with the “.sav” extension instead of “.nds”. Same for GBA folder, etc.

So i was on wellbutrin for a few months (for depression) and in that time maybe.. all of twice did i actually gain some executive function, so for me i don't really consider that an ADHD drug.
First thing i got to try was vyvanse. Was pleased that the capsules can be opened and dissolved for self- titration, since i started on a super low dose. It was helpful enough for me to... not be constantly worried about getting fired for lack of productivity, but not what i hoped for. It gave me just barely enough follow through to finish tasks, but didn't help at all with the chaos in my mind, actually made a lot of my stimming worse, and added in some new noise (like stuck on song lyrics forever). I would describe its effect as... kind of lighting up all the electric spaghetti in my brain, but highlighting some threads in one color so they are easier to notice, follow, remember, get back to.
My first pill of concerta was "the cure"-- ALL of the extra noise in my brain just.. shut off. And it stayed off for TWO DAYS!!! Of course, that went away and never happened again but oh God was it wonderful. So QUIET inside! Now, it's MUCH more understated and subtle than the vyvanse. For a little i do get chipper and chatty, but mostly.. the halo of mental chatter just shrinks down a little. Just enough that i can...think, plan, notice things. And it sticks around. While it's obviously important to remember water, food, protein...i have a harder time when i forget to eat on concerta. It will make me nap. But then also when i get up and remember to eat, i can keep going instead of just being done for the day.
So that's where I'm at. I'm still very curious about adding in guanfacine someday to supplement, but also.. pleased enough, finally (and for now) to NOT be begging to add or try new things right away, which i think my psych will appreciate. (I've had a shotgun approach of "let's try EVERYTHING RIGHT NOW because i need SOMETHING to work and fast!" which isn't especially useful for learning what works, though it's a great way to pass through crisis quickly!
Also really glad to have found this sub, (though i still don't seem to understand the rules and how bots keep deleting posts for criteria they don't meet?) and thanks to everybody who keeps putting their stories out.

Lucian Eloi was born into a world long since ruined. A millennia of global war has left the Sanctus world government responsible for the downfall of humanity. Determined to set the world right again, Lucian uncovers a soul stone and is sent a millennia into the past to when the stone was created. Now, in an era at the very start of the war, Lucian aims to take down this era’s Sanctus and save his broken future.
However, Lucian’s journey through time creates a tear between dimensions. This event disrupts the flow of time and creates a far worse fate for the world than the one he came from. Now driven by the guilt of his actions, Lucian sets out to restore the course of history and prevent the destruction of all reality.

"Mama was right about you," said Judith, clutching onto her older brother's arm. "You're mean."

"We’ll get some. We just need to make an extra stop."

The brother and sister scuffled through the street. The hustle and bustle of the passersby drowned Judith out. Tristan clung tight to her wrist. Their mother would never forgive him if he lost her.
Soon enough they reached the city square, and the skyline finally opened up. Dozens of bronze and steel towers obscured any pedestrian's view of the sun. The open spots still shrouded the sky in billows of steam. That was common here. It was just just a byproduct of those buildings, he was told. "A testament to Decora’s progress," some have said. He hadn't much idea what that meant, but his mother had told him their city had a lot of things most others didn't. Something to do with inventions and energy, supposedly.
Tristan wasn't sure how much of that he trusted, though. He'd heard plenty of talk about all these, "machines," but aside from those giant ships that would fly overhead, he’d seen none. One day though, he'd get to the Loft. He'd make sure of it. For now, not starving was the priority.)

(murder) but they do love each other. the books of sorrow say it all over the place, and most recently the calcified fragments in Ghosts of the Deep say it and the Navigator says it. it's not a forgotten or poorly established part of the Hive God Canon.
(unrelated aside: in season of the seraph, why did xivu bother to try to set up the warsat catch-22? she could have conquered us with conventional force of arms. she wanted to set up the trick because, even if she howls betrayer now, she wanted to conjure savathun with a supreme act of trickery. she just wants her sister back.)

This is a cap on some kind of summoning spell. The whole thing is being powered by Void Light. The Hive are calling something to Titan.
this is reiterated a couple times: some kind of summoning spell. calling something. it was fairly open-ended at the time- personally I thought they were summoning savathun herself or something fairly simple like that. it was probably never intended to be assumed to be about this. but what is the ritual using? void light. why does it need void light? the hive can summon stuff on their own, with their own rituals.
void is an element associated with gravity. savathun was using the void light to affect the gravity of oryx's body and pull it to titan. why bother? at least at the time, she effectively controlled titan. leaving it in space where anyone could get to it would be risky. the methane seas would be a safe place to store oryx's body until she was able to complete the real humdinger of a scheme she was working on: gaining the light. she was planning on reviving oryx all along. she loves her brother- she has a shrine to him in her throne world, after all. she also notably doesn't care about hive orthodoxy or what they consider "heresy", and never really did, what with letting nokris hang around and all.
something to think about: the armor tabs of ghosts of the deep make a point of mentioning oryx's worm is missing. maybe it's not just swimming around titan- maybe savathun already collected it for another scheme she was working on.

Maybe this is obvious to most of you (especially based on the album title...), but it took me a few listen throughs to recognize the pattern. It certainly appears to me that the songs on LIBAD tell a story of someone progressing through life.
Now, I could certainly be overthinking it, and maybe some of these are a stretch, but the pattern really makes sense to me:
Game Over - This is an overview of the album. the lyrics are clearly explaining the experiences of growing up. Sadly, ending in suicide.
Mattel - This song is lyrically, talking about toys. But, on another level, it shifts from the innocence of childhood to recognizing the world for what it is. At least, from a cynical viewpoint. Saying how your life is simply a never ending performance, with puppet-masters and a brainless populace. It might as well be hell.
Nobody - This one is a lot to tougher to place, but could be a reflection of someone lost and trying to find their way in life, and going through a existential crisis. "Nobody" meaning both how they feel about their place in the world, and their ego death.
We Love You - This reads to me like someone deciding to play the game and entering the rat race of life. Through greed they become successful. All the while getting praise for it. Could also show their parents, or other loved ones, supporting him and expressing how they are proud of him. Has our character found their place in life? Well, not for long.
Cosmic - Certainly about someone dying, talking to us at the end of their life. Followed by their experience of death itself.
Beautiful Morning - This one is also hard to place. It reads like someone in the after, but since I don't believe our character has died yet, it could be a metaphor of someone dying inside while trying to process the death of their loved one. Experiencing elation as they try to progress through their grief, but feel themselves entering a hellish existence. "Morning" could be a play on "mourning"
Easier - This is someone going through an internal conflict about their struggles. Do they take the "easy way out"? Or will things get better?
G - Speaking to God to seek help, and relief. Instead realizing that his suffering is all part of Gods plan. Possible hearing a call from God to be the next one to join him and be saved.
(I do realize the end of this song implies the next song is from the perspective of a robot, but, it could be interpreted in other ways)
(O)rdinary - The questions he is asking God about what he will experience in death and the afterlife.
(D)eath - In a dreamlike state, he goes through the process of writing a suicide note, and jumping to his death

While Disney eventually releases its various studios' films on Disney Plus for subscribers to watch via its streaming platform, most major releases don't arrive on Disney Plus until at least 45-60 days after the film's theatrical release.
The sequel opened to $150 million internationally, which Disney reports is 4% ahead of the first film when comparing like for likes at current exchange rates. Overall, the global cume comes to $330 million. Can it become the year's third film to make it past $1 billion worldwide despite China and Russia, which made up around $124 million of the first film's $682 million international box office, being out of play? It may be tough, but it's not impossible. Legging out past $500 million is plausible on the domestic front (that would be a multiplier of at least 2.7), and another $500 million abroad would be a drop of around $58 million from the original after excluding the two MIA markets. It'd be another story if audiences didn't love the film,but the positive reception suggests that Transformers: Rise of the Beasts will outperform the legs on this year's earlier MCU titles (Multiverse of Madness and Love and Thunder had multipliers of 2.2 and 2.3 respectively).
As for the rest of the box office, there's little to get excited about, with nothing else grossing above $10 million as Hollywood shied away from releasing anything significant not just this weekend but also over the previous two weekends. When Black Panther opened in 2018, there was no counterprogramming that opened the same weekend, but Peter Rabbit and Fifty Shades Freed were in their second weekends and took second and third with $17.5 million and $17.3 million respectively. That weekend had an overall cume of $287 million compared to $208 million this weekend Take away the $22 million gap between the two Black Panther films and there's still a $57 million gap between the two weekends. The difference may not feel that large when a mega blockbuster is propping up the grosses,but the contrast is harsher when the mid-level films are the entire box office as we saw in recent months.
Transformers: Rise of the Beasts, which is the biggest grosser of the rough post-summer, pre-Transformers: Rise of the Beasts season, came in second with just $8.6 million. Despite the blockbuster competition that arrived in its fourth weekend, the numbers didn't totally collapse, dropping 53 % for a cume of $151 million. Worldwide it is at $352 million, which isn't a great cume as the grosses start to wind down considering its $200 million budget. Still, it's the biggest of any film since Transformers: Rise of the Beasts, though Transformers: Rise of the Beasts will overtake it any day now.
Transformers: Rise of the Beasts came in third place in its fourth weekend, down 29% with $6.1 million, emerging as one of the season's most durable grossers and one of the year's few bright spots when it comes to films for adults. The domestic cume is $56.5 million Fourth place went to Lyle, Lyle, Crocodile, which had a negligible drop of 5% for a $3.2 million sixth weekend and $40.8 million cume., in fact )
, which isn't surprising considering it's the only family film on the market, and it's Transformers: Rise of the Beasts to grossing four times its $11.4 million opening. Still, the $72.6 million worldwide cume is soft given the $50 million budget , though a number of international markets have yet to open.
Finishing up the top five is Transformers: Rise of the Beasts, which had its biggest weekend drop yet, falling 42% for a $2.3 million seventh weekend. Of course, that's no reason to frown for the horror film, which has a domestic cume of $103 million and global cume of $ 210 million from a budget of just $20 million

So I’ve heard the band talk about the lyrics being “on the nose” in Nobody, (I’m a god, I’m awake, I’m the one in everything) and I think a lot of people who are spiritually inclined will get what they’re talking about right away.
Cosmic is about a person who’s dying and is saying goodbye to their loved one. But this person seems to understand that they are ‘everything’, so when they say you’ll find me as a rose born again, as a pharaoh, as a cave man and so on, I’m reading this literally, like “Im the one in everything”, and so are you, and that’s why this won’t be our last goodbye. Did anyone interpret the song differently?

"Nyeh...we did it!!" Himiko exclaimed happily. She and Kokichi threw their arms around each other in a triumphant embrace. He swung her around before they both did a victory dance. Himiko did the Running Man while Kokichi did a little pop and lock dance.
"HOO-AH!!" they exclaimed as they chest bumped each other and finished with a fist bump.
"Who's bad?" Kokichi cheered.
"We're bad!" Himiko cheered back.
"We're bad! We're bad! Uh-huh, uh-huh, uh-huh!" they cheered in unison. Then, they high fived each other with a loud SMACK! "Oowwww!" they moaned, shaking their hands in pain.
"Nyeh...now that Gundham's hamster is back, what do we do now?" Himiko asked.
"We have to sneak him back over to Gundham's room," Kokichi replied.
"Nyeeehh...a stealth mission!" Himiko said with a sneaky smile.
"Exactly, Himiko!" Kokichi said, stroking her cheek affectionately. "We'll sneak out tonight, climb in through Gundham's room window, and slip Maga-Z back into his cage."
"Great!" Himiko said. She reached for Maga-Z, who bit her with his tiny teeth. "OW!!" Himiko shrieked, jerking her arm back. "He bit me!!"
"Lemme see," Kokichi said, holding Himiko's hand to look at it. "It was only a tiny bite. You'll be okay, Monkey Buns." He kissed her finger. "Better?" he asked. Himiko blushed and batter her eyelashes at him.
"Yeah," she said bashfully. "Thanks."
"No problem," Kokichi replied with a wink.
"Nyeeeh...but tell that hamster not to bite me anymore!" Himiko pouted, glaring at Maga-Z. Kokichi turned to Maga-Z and showed him one of his scary faces.
"Bad hamster!" he said. "Don't bite Himiko anymore!" Maga-Z shrunk back in fear. Kokichi turned his face to normal. "Okie-dokie! All better!" he said, placing his hands behind his head.
"You take him with you," Himiko mumbled. "I was going to, but if he's going to bite me, I don't want him anymore." Kokichi held his hand out to the hamster.
"Come here," he commanded to the little rodent. Reluctantly, but obediently, Maga-Z climbed into Kokichi's hand. Kokichi then turned to Himiko. "C'mon, it's probably almost dinnertime. And we gotta get out of these lab coats and get back downstairs before Miu finds out we went through her stuff." Himiko nodded. Kokichi pulled the rooftop lever the opposite way, closing the rooftop. He then pushed a button that led them down back to Miu's lab. They removed the lab coats and everything else before heading back to the elevator that led to Miu's closet. They checked to see if the coast was clear before heading out. Before they did, Kokichi slipped Maga-Z into his pants pocket.
"Stay there," he quietly ordered. Maga-Z did as he was told and buried himself deep in Kokichi's pocket. "C'mon, let's go eat," Kokichi said to Himiko.
"Yeah...reviving a dead hamster sure builds up an appetite," Himiko said. Kokichi chuckled and held her hand as he led her downstairs.

Later that night, Kokichi texted Himiko while everyone else was asleep.
KOKICHI: Hey, babe! Ready for the stealth mission?
HIMIKO: I've been waiting all night!
KOKICHI: Haha, okay! Let's go outside to the backyard, 'kay?
HIMIKO: Got it!
Himiko silently climbed out of bed and tiptoed so as not to wake up Tenko, who was sound asleep across the room and snoring so loudly. Himiko snuck downstairs in the darkness. She sneaked past the living room, the kitchen, and finally entered the dining hall, where she ran into someone.
"Oof!" she exclaimed. She felt an arm wrap around her waist and a hand cover her mouth.
"Hey, you," came Kokichi's flirty voice in the darkness. She could hear him smiling. He removed his hand, and Himiko felt his lips touch hers. She kissed him back.
"Nyeh...I thought you said we were going to meet in the backyard," Himiko whispered.
"We are," Kokichi whispered back. "For a second, I thought I lost Maga-Z, but he's still in my pocket."
"That's good," Himiko replied.
"Yuppers! C'mon, let's go," Kokichi said, taking Himiko's hand. They exited through the back door, where they could now see each other, thanks to the back porch light. They smiled at each other. Himiko noticed that Kokichi had black clothing hanging on his shoulder.
"What's that?" she asked, pointing to them.
"They're our sneaky outfits," Kokichi explained, holding one outfit out to Himiko. "We're gonna be ninjas!"
"Ooo! Nothing is sneakier and stealthier than a ninja!" Himiko said.
"Riiight?!" Kokichi replied. He placed Maga-Z on the ground. The two put their ninja outfits on and looked at each other. Only their eyes were showing. "Wooow, you look very ninja-y, Himiko!"
"You do, too!" Himiko said. "Nyeh...you look even more mysterious than you usually do!" Judging by the sound of her voice, Kokichi could tell she was blushing.
"Aww, thanks, Monkey Buns!" he said, nuzzling his covered nose against hers. He then picked Maga-Z up, and put him in one of his pockets. "Let's go!" he whispered to Himiko, who nodded to him in response. They snuck over to 7th Island House, scoping out the area for Gundham and Fuyuhiko's bedroom window. As they searched, they heard giggling and soft moaning sounds.
"What is that?!" Himiko whispered in fear. "Is somebody doing what I think they're doing?!" Silently, Kokichi led Himiko further towards the back of the house. The noises got louder, and they could make out Miu's voice in the darkness.
"Ohh...Kazuichi!" she moaned. "You definitely know what you're doing! Mmm-hmhmhmmm! Ooo! That's my good spot right there!"
"Heh, heh, heeeeeh...you know, Hotstuff, I'm all outta milk," Kazuichi was saying. "Think you have any...milk jugs to spare?"
"I got 'em right here for ya, Kazzy-cakes!" Miu murmured. Himiko whimpered in fear, burying herself against Kokichi's chest. Kokichi wrapped his arms around her and pulled her back.
"God, those two are so annoying!" Kokichi muttered.
"Yeah...maybe we should have just let Miu grow into a bitter, lonely, old lady," Himiko agreed.
"Here...I got an idea," Kokichi whispered. He led Himiko back to the front of 7th Island House and hid her behind a bush. "You wait here, Monkey Buns. I'll be back."
"Okay...hurry," Himiko whispered with apprehension.
"I'll be right back," Kokichi reassured her again before dashing off. Himiko waited in silence for a few minutes, growing more concerned the longer Kokichi was gone. Finally, a few minutes later, Himiko saw his shadowy figure rushing back towards her. He lifted a finger to his lips as he hid with her behind the bush. Soon after, Miu and Kazuichi came rushing from behind the house in fear. They whispered something to each other before going their separate ways back to their respective houses. Himiko sighed with relief.
"Nyeh...what did you do?" she asked Kokichi.
"Nee-heehee...there were some bats in that tree above them, so I threw a rock at the bats, and they started flying away, which freaked Kazuichi and Miu out."
"Phew...that was lucky," Himiko said. Kokichi grabbed her hand and led her back towards 7th Island House.
"I think this one right here is Gundham and Yakety-Yak's window," Kokichi said. "Here, give me a boost." Himiko cupped her hands together. Kokichi stood on her hands and lifted the window.
"Be careful," Himiko whispered as he crawled through. Once inside, Kokichi could hear Gundham mumbling something in his sleep. Across the room, he could hear Fuyuhiko snoring softly. Gundham's mumblings became louder ramblings.
"YOU, THERE!!" he yelled. Kokichi froze dead in his tracks. Gundham went back to mumbling something else in his sleep, causing Kokichi to sigh quietly in relief. Using the moonlight, he squinted his eyes as he searched for the empty cage that belonged to Maga-Z. Finally, he found it, and placed Maga-Z inside, making extra sure to lock the cage door. He tiptoed on his way back to the window. On his way there, he stepped on a rubber ducky, which broke the silence with a tremendous SQUEAK! Kokichi paused, waiting for something to happen.
"WHO'S THERE?!" Gundham demanded, waking up and sitting straight up in his bed.
"Uhhh..." Kokichi mumbled.
"SHOW YOURSELF!!!" Gundham demanded, reaching for the lamp on his desk. Without thinking, Kokichi lifted the rubber ducky and threw it as hard as he could at Gundham's head, making a loud SQUEAK again, and knocking him unconscious.
"Gundham...did you say something?" Fuyuhiko mumbled sleepily in the darkness.
"Uhh...uh...silence, mortal!" Kokichi answered, imitating Gundham. "It was naught but a nightmare! You needn't worry! Now go back to sleep so I can continue my slumber filled with chaotic dreams and pandemonium-ah!"
"Whatever you say," Fuyuhiko replied, turning over in his bed, and going right back to sleep. Kokichi breathed a sigh of relief and climbed back out through the window, silently closing it on the way out.
"Nyeh...did you do it?" Himiko whispered.
"Sure did!" Kokichi whispered back. Himiko threw his arms around him.
"Aww, I'm so proud of you, Panta Bear!" she whispered. Kokichi smiled at her, and they snuck silently back to Casa V3. Little did they know, however, that Maga-Z was undergoing a monstrous change at that moment.

"Nyeeehh...a stealth mission!" Himiko said with a sneaky smile.
"Exactly, Himiko!" Kokichi said, stroking her cheek affectionately. "We'll sneak out tonight, climb in through Gundham's room window, and slip Maga-Z back into his cage."
"Great!" Himiko said. She reached for Maga-Z, who bit her with his tiny teeth. "OW!!" Himiko shrieked, jerking her arm back. "He bit me!!"
"Lemme see," Kokichi said, holding Himiko's hand to look at it. "It was only a tiny bite. You'll be okay, Monkey Buns." He kissed her finger. "Better?" he asked. Himiko blushed and batter her eyelashes at him.
"Yeah," she said bashfully. "Thanks."
"No problem," Kokichi replied with a wink.
"Nyeeeh...but tell that hamster not to bite me anymore!" Himiko pouted, glaring at Maga-Z. Kokichi turned to Maga-Z and showed him one of his scary faces.
"Bad hamster!" he said. "Don't bite Himiko anymore!" Maga-Z shrunk back in fear. Kokichi turned his face to normal. "Okie-dokie! All better!" he said, placing his hands behind his head.
"You take him with you," Himiko mumbled. "I was going to, but if he's going to bite me, I don't want him anymore." Kokichi held his hand out to the hamster.
"Come here," he commanded to the little rodent. Reluctantly, but obediently, Maga-Z climbed into Kokichi's hand. Kokichi then turned to Himiko. "C'mon, it's probably almost dinnertime. And we gotta get out of these lab coats and get back downstairs before Miu finds out we went through her stuff." Himiko nodded. Kokichi pulled the rooftop lever the opposite way, closing the rooftop. He then pushed a button that led them down back to Miu's lab. They removed the lab coats and everything else before heading back to the elevator that led to Miu's closet. They checked to see if the coast was clear before heading out. Before they did, Kokichi slipped Maga-Z into his pants pocket.
"Stay there," he quietly ordered. Maga-Z did as he was told and buried himself deep in Kokichi's pocket. "C'mon, let's go eat," Kokichi said to Himiko.
"Yeah...reviving a dead hamster sure builds up an appetite," Himiko said. Kokichi chuckled and held her hand as he led her downstairs.

Later that night, Kokichi texted Himiko while everyone else was asleep.
KOKICHI: Hey, babe! Ready for the stealth mission?
HIMIKO: I've been waiting all night!
KOKICHI: Haha, okay! Let's go outside to the backyard, 'kay?
HIMIKO: Got it!
Himiko silently climbed out of bed and tiptoed so as not to wake up Tenko, who was sound asleep across the room and snoring so loudly. Himiko snuck downstairs in the darkness. She sneaked past the living room, the kitchen, and finally entered the dining hall, where she ran into someone.
"Oof!" she exclaimed. She felt an arm wrap around her waist and a hand cover her mouth.
"Hey, you," came Kokichi's flirty voice in the darkness. She could hear him smiling. He removed his hand, and Himiko felt his lips touch hers. She kissed him back.
"Nyeh...I thought you said we were going to meet in the backyard," Himiko whispered.
"We are," Kokichi whispered back. "For a second, I thought I lost Maga-Z, but he's still in my pocket."
"That's good," Himiko replied.
"Yuppers! C'mon, let's go," Kokichi said, taking Himiko's hand. They exited through the back door, where they could now see each other, thanks to the back porch light. They smiled at each other. Himiko noticed that Kokichi had black clothing hanging on his shoulder.
"What's that?" she asked, pointing to them.
"They're our sneaky outfits," Kokichi explained, holding one outfit out to Himiko. "We're gonna be ninjas!"
"Ooo! Nothing is sneakier and stealthier than a ninja!" Himiko said.
"Riiight?!" Kokichi replied. He placed Maga-Z on the ground. The two put their ninja outfits on and looked at each other. Only their eyes were showing. "Wooow, you look very ninja-y, Himiko!"
"You do, too!" Himiko said. "Nyeh...you look even more mysterious than you usually do!" Judging by the sound of her voice, Kokichi could tell she was blushing.
"Aww, thanks, Monkey Buns!" he said, nuzzling his covered nose against hers. He then picked Maga-Z up, and put him in one of his pockets. "Let's go!" he whispered to Himiko, who nodded to him in response. They snuck over to 7th Island House, scoping out the area for Gundham and Fuyuhiko's bedroom window. As they searched, they heard giggling and soft moaning sounds.
"What is that?!" Himiko whispered in fear. "Is somebody doing what I think they're doing?!" Silently, Kokichi led Himiko further towards the back of the house. The noises got louder, and they could make out Miu's voice in the darkness.
"Ohh...Kazuichi!" she moaned. "You definitely know what you're doing! Mmm-hmhmhmmm! Ooo! That's my good spot right there!"
"Heh, heh, heeeeeh...you know, Hotstuff, I'm all outta milk," Kazuichi was saying. "Think you have any...milk jugs to spare?"
"I got 'em right here for ya, Kazzy-cakes!" Miu murmured. Himiko whimpered in fear, burying herself against Kokichi's chest. Kokichi wrapped his arms around her and pulled her back.
"God, those two are so annoying!" Kokichi muttered.
"Yeah...maybe we should have just let Miu grow into a bitter, lonely, old lady," Himiko agreed.
"Here...I got an idea," Kokichi whispered. He led Himiko back to the front of 7th Island House and hid her behind a bush. "You wait here, Monkey Buns. I'll be back."
"Okay...hurry," Himiko whispered with apprehension.
"I'll be right back," Kokichi reassured her again before dashing off. Himiko waited in silence for a few minutes, growing more concerned the longer Kokichi was gone. Finally, a few minutes later, Himiko saw his shadowy figure rushing back towards her. He lifted a finger to his lips as he hid with her behind the bush. Soon after, Miu and Kazuichi came rushing from behind the house in fear. They whispered something to each other before going their separate ways back to their respective houses. Himiko sighed with relief.
"Nyeh...what did you do?" she asked Kokichi.
"Nee-heehee...there were some bats in that tree above them, so I threw a rock at the bats, and they started flying away, which freaked Kazuichi and Miu out."
"Phew...that was lucky," Himiko said. Kokichi grabbed her hand and led her back towards 7th Island House.
"I think this one right here is Gundham and Yakety-Yak's window," Kokichi said. "Here, give me a boost." Himiko cupped her hands together. Kokichi stood on her hands and lifted the window.
"Be careful," Himiko whispered as he crawled through. Once inside, Kokichi could hear Gundham mumbling something in his sleep. Across the room, he could hear Fuyuhiko snoring softly. Gundham's mumblings became louder ramblings.
"YOU, THERE!!" he yelled. Kokichi froze dead in his tracks. Gundham went back to mumbling something else in his sleep, causing Kokichi to sigh quietly in relief. Using the moonlight, he squinted his eyes as he searched for the empty cage that belonged to Maga-Z. Finally, he found it, and placed Maga-Z inside, making extra sure to lock the cage door. He tiptoed on his way back to the window. On his way there, he stepped on a rubber ducky, which broke the silence with a tremendous SQUEAK! Kokichi paused, waiting for something to happen.
"WHO'S THERE?!" Gundham demanded, waking up and sitting straight up in his bed.
"Uhhh..." Kokichi mumbled.
"SHOW YOURSELF!!!" Gundham demanded, reaching for the lamp on his desk. Without thinking, Kokichi lifted the rubber ducky and threw it as hard as he could at Gundham's head, making a loud SQUEAK again, and knocking him unconscious.
"Gundham...did you say something?" Fuyuhiko mumbled sleepily in the darkness.
"Uhh...uh...silence, mortal!" Kokichi answered, imitating Gundham. "It was naught but a nightmare! You needn't worry! Now go back to sleep so I can continue my slumber filled with chaotic dreams and pandemonium-ah!"
"Whatever you say," Fuyuhiko replied, turning over in his bed, and going right back to sleep. Kokichi breathed a sigh of relief and climbed back out through the window, silently closing it on the way out.
"Nyeh...did you do it?" Himiko whispered.
"Sure did!" Kokichi whispered back. Himiko threw his arms around him.
"Aww, I'm so proud of you, Panta Bear!" she whispered. Kokichi smiled at her, and they snuck silently back to Casa V3. Little did they know, however, that Maga-Z was undergoing a monstrous change at that moment.
