Long story bear with me, gonna break it down.

• day 0 of exposure. Sat in a small office wearing a surgical mask with 3 other unmasked individuals. After the meeting, one lady asks to go home as she is having diarrhea. This is typical as she suffer Ibs. I later find out last night her husband began having a fever, later this day he tests positive.

Day 1- coworker still has diarrhea, and now nausea, tests negative. I have a headache but I get a headache twice a week. I test negative on Binax
Day 2- coworker still has diarrhea and nausea. No real congestion yet. She tests negative again. I test negative morning and night. A side note, I suffer from anxiety. My temperature is about 99.4 all day when it normally is 97.8-98.2. Not sure if my anxiety can cause low grade temp rise
Day 3- coworker calls in to work since it's Monday now, she is congested now badly overnight. She calls at 10am to inform me she is positive now. I test both morning and night, negative each time. I still have this 99.4 temp, feel off, some aches, no appetite etc, this could be my anxiety.
Day 4- today is day 4. I test negative on bimax in the AM and decide to take a rapid naat called Lucira in the evening. It's negative as well. My doctor ordered a pcr so I went in to the immediate care, results should be tomorrow. My temp is the same 99.4 all day, still feel off. Today I have two bouts of diarrhea but this is not out of the ordinary either as I have celiac. My stomach was growling all morning but I don't know if it's from upset or hunger, I have now lost 7 pounds in 4 days.
Day 5- this is tomorrows plan. Wake up and take a binax test. In the evening I will take another Lucira.
Day 6- I have a rapid naat scheduled at Walgreens in the morning with 2 hour results. The reason I am freaking out is because I have an international flight scheduled on this day with my elderly parents. We booked this trip one year ago and they were going yo show me my family history. It's an important trip as they are still mobile in their 70's and I do not know how much longer they will be mobile.
Do you think if by day six, all these tests are negative, I should essentially be covid free?
Am I doing everything I can? Anything I am missing?

Im a 56 year old male. I’m just over two years since my diagnosis. I had just had my six month check up with my doctor and all my numbers are good. I live in the US. Last week I took my first international trip since my diagnosis. I did a walking tour of the west of Ireland (Western Way - 5 legs). I was very nervous because I didn’t think I would be able to relax the whole trip too worried about what I could eat. I had brought some safe food with me, but I was rolling the dice a bit - hoping things would go well. The trip started out as I thought it would. Aer Lingus did not have anything for me to eat on the way over. Pre flight I had filled out a form asking for GF food and I got back an email that said “Unfortunately, we cannot advise on the menu in advance of your trip, but rest assured that we will cater to your needs.” Turns out they didn’t have any food for my on the flight, I had expected as such and had my own food to get me through the flight. We had booked the walking tour through a company that would take our bags from place to place while we walked to each location. I contacted the company about a month out to try and ease my mind that I wouldn’t spend my walking vacation not walking - if you know what I mean. Their response was that they had notified the combination of hotels and BnB’s that we were staying at about my dietary needs. That very casual response did not have me confident that I would be OK. When we go to the first BnB, I talked to the host about my needs. She said that she had not been informed about my request - my worst fears realized. As a side note EVERY PLACE we went to eat had a menu with allergens listed on it. I had read that Ireland has the highest percentage of celiacs per population in the world. Everywhere we went to eat, the staff knew about it and were very helpful (unlike the US). Turns out our first host could not have been nicer and more helpful to me. We stayed two nights at the BnB. After I had told her of my restrictions she talked to her friend who was a doctor who was able to advised her on how to deal with my needs. We ended up going out to dinner the first night. After talking to the waiter I had a meal that didn’t cause a reaction. I will say it seems that I am luck and that I am not super sensitive. I’m learning how to deal with my new reality in real time. The next morning our host was asking me what did I have to eat last night - are you OK. And breakfast was very considerate of my needs. I started feeling a bit more at ease. After the second day walk when we returned the host took me aside to tell me that the company had told her about my restrictions but she had forgot 🙄. To try and keep it short the rest of the trip ended up being a reaction free amazing trip. All I can say is I wish US restaurants had to list their allergens like I saw in Ireland. Granted it seems I am not as sensitive to cross contamination as others, but still knowing what you’re getting into is so helpful. I went to more that one restaurant that had a separate GF menu (one place called it flour free🤣) and made it 10 days without getting a reaction. As a side note Aer Lingus had a GF meal and snack for me on the flight home. This post is long enough already. If anyone has questions - ask away.

Planning a trip for 7 nights and have time for two destinations, but I’m torn between three.
Thinking to stay on La Maddalena or Palau as a base for 3 nights. Then can’t decide if we should drive down to the Gulf of Orosei area or Alghero.
Bit of context, we value walkability at night more than anything, meaning we’ll drive to beaches during the day, but want to wander cute streets and drink lots of wine without having to drive home each night.
Would we be missing out if we did Palau/Alghero and only did a day trip to Orosei?
Or, am I totally wrong that we don’t need to stay on/close to La Maddalena for 3 nights and can make that a day trip in turn? I’ve heard La Maddalena is beautiful and the streets look soooo cute so feel like it’s worth staying over there so we can enjoy late dinners once ferries stop.

This is a long story so buckle up. I've always had a bad relationship with my mother. I'm her youngest child she had on accident when she was 41. (I'm 22 now) my siblings are both 30. She's always treated them so well. She'd never out right say she didn't love me but she'd always say "I have 2 kids I love so much" "my 2 kids are everything to me" and stuff like that. After my older siblings moved out (I was 12 at the time) my dad left her after enduring her abuse for 20 years... but he didn't take me with him. Which may have been for the best as my mom had convinced me he was an addict and I was scared of him. My mom would sit in her room and scream for hours on end calling him every name in the book. It was super scary to see because she wasn't talking to anyone. I'd just be in my room and hear her screaming like she was dying for HOURS everyday when I came home from school.
Soon this escalated to her hitting me everyday and then telling people I would hit her? She'd scratch her arms and say I did it in a rage when even when she was hitting me I never hit her I'd usually just take it until she'd start choking me and then I'd push her away because I didn't want to die. She's broken 3 of my toes pretty badly from stepping on them on with all her body weight and when I cried she laughed and said I deserved it. Cps showed up twice and ultimately made things worse as when they left she'd freak out at me and call me a liar and say im "evil and not of Jesus christ" my moms a mormon but she really doesn't practice very religiously. We only went to church sometimes so I never took it super seriously but she'd act like we were a super Christian godly household.
She would take me to so many therapists and psychiatrists saying that there was something wrong with me. The psychiatrists were very prescription happy. But the therapists always tell me when I was alone with them that my mom was seriously mentally ill. When they'd try and have her work on herself too she'd rage quit therapy and go find another one. Last time I talked to her she was telling me about how hard it is having a mentally ill child "I've spent so much money on therapy and pills for you! My other children didn't need any of that!"
I ended up going to live with my dad when I was 14-16 but my step mother took issue with me. To this day im unsure why. I was always nice to her and helped around the house, did well in school. She was constantly mean. So they sent me back to live with my mom and the cycle of abuse with her started again.
I got through my senior year and she kicked me out without notice on my 18th birthday. I was going to move out once school was out but she demanded I left sooner. So I did. I had to live in my car with everything i owned for a week before I found an apartment. She told everyone that she kicked me out because I hit her and threw a book at her face and that just didn't happen. I did throw a book but it wasn't at her or anywhere near her.
Shortly after my senior year I ended up getting pregnant. Really stupid move on my part. I still feel guilty and it's been 3 years. I tried my best to keep my birth son but i was homeless and working 10 hour days at 7 months pregnant. So I ended up asking a nice infertile couple who I knew were looking to adopt if they would adopt my boy. They did and they have been amazing. At first my mom was like "oh my daughters so great she chose life" and all that BS. (I'm not pro life. Just her) The adoption is open so we both get to see him sometimes and she's kind of like an extra grandma to him and I'm like an aunt maybe? But it eventually turned to her shaming me for being an unfit mother. Calling me fat because of baby weight. Shaming me for getting pregnant by a guy who hit me. (He didn't start till after I was pregnant)
It's gotten to the point where she legitimately tries to make me jealous by going on about how she's my birth sons favorite person. I've never seen them together and if that was the case I wouldn't care but her trying to use my baby as a pawn weirds me out so much. He's only 2! She also didn't see him for months because she told his adoptive parents "you guys seem stressed Maybe you should give him to someone better fit to parent" when the adoptive mom was struggling a bit caring for a new born because it's so hard!
She's taking my siblings to Italy this summer for a big trip and told them that she can't take me because I'm mentally ill. I told her very respectfully that I was very hurt I felt like the "redheaded step child" to which she just said I was a spoiled brat and she doesn't owe me anything and that it's my own fault I'm "miserable" and that ill never heal unless i got on medication again and stop blaming her etc. She has them over every weekend to do stuff and not me.
For the most part I'm no contact with her. I still am around my siblings. They have helped me immensely and I love them. But I just am so lost on how to handle my mom. My son's birthday is on the 3rd and she's gonna be there. I'm so nervous. She makes me physically ill to be around. She's accused me of hitting her even as an adult and runs around like she's a victim of abuse. She tells people that I hit her and her stories don't line up at all and are so blatantly fake and then says the stories I've told of my childhood are made up in my mind because I'm mentally ill and that I abused her from the ages of 10 and up. Even sometimes tries to shame me for temper tantrums I had in my terrible 2's.
Idk whats wrong with her. She's been diagnosed with autism and depression but that's it.

I’m trading for the first time and am so nervous. The person had lots of sales proof and trade proof. I have sales from eBay and pickup proof I showed them. They said they would ship out today during the day because they were off work. I said cool, I’ll ship out as soon as I’m off work. I messaged to let them know. So I go to ship it and ask them for the tracking info for mine and if the address and everything looked correct and crickets. I didn’t ship. They messaged back after a few hours and said sorry they were busy but would ship out tomorrow. They want to ship at the exact same time as me. I was feeling good about it but the not shipping when you said you were going to and me wasting a trip to the post office has me antsy. Thoughts?

I know that Swiss Air charges a fee for advance seat selections and that it can vary depending on the length of a trip for international flights. But for the same exact flight and the same exact seats, does the fee vary from day to day? I checked the price last week for my Swiss Air flight, but then I checked again today, and the fee for the same exact seat went up. Does it fluctuate, and should I wait for it to come down? Or is the price structure broken down by X number of days before the flight? There isn't a clear seat selection pricing structure on the Swiss Air website, so I'm unsure if I should nab the seats I want now or wait.

The waters have been in our town since the beginning of the Second Shift. Before it all, we were hardly considered a coastal city, but when the great glaciers began to thaw, waters rose across the globe. Thousands were displaced, communities had to rebuild and find ways to not only move on, but also cope with the loss of life, the change of times.
Our small town was drenched, with newcomers and bodies of water. A large coast formed to our west and north, (and weirdly enough, the water flowed out to more of the west, rather than inwards to our new coasts. The water always moved from west to west) creating a massive sprawl of beachland and inner rivers and lakes. Once a collection of high mesas, red rocks and dirt roads - streams and ponds of deep blue water filled into the cracks of Acoma.
Many turned to religion again, looking for signs in all these unnatural occurrences and phenomena that became our new truths. Priests and Imam came from across the highlands to see the massive lakes, to touch the water and bless it. Our mesas hadn’t seen any consistent water in centuries, and for a long time the droughts got worse year after year. It was unexplainable; some considered magic or prophecy. Though as time went on, the bad far outweighed the good. Especially when our neighbors began to disappear in the waters.
Well first there was old Zeeck Ferrell. This slim, big glasses type wise and somewhat cooky guy who would walk around the neighborhoods early in the mornings and would go on long geology explorations and camping trips. Somewhat an off-the-grid type, but all around just a loner at heart - no one bothered him and he didn’t like being around people much after his beloved wife passed some off 17 years prior.
Loved his dog Chewy - I mean, that’s actually how people found out he was missing. Place smelled like shit even from the outside, could hear the dude howling all night long from the end of the block and I guess some neighbors finally did some exploring. The dog ended up being fine, they released him into the wild or something after a few days of the big town search for old man Zeeck Ferrell, figured if the dog found him there would be lots of barks and howls.
Those same some neighbors headed the FIND OLD MAN ZEECK search parties, gathering anyone they could and creating 10, 20, 30 mile radiuses of searchin’. Called the local news and ran stories in the Acoma Daily and the next two towns over.
That went on for about 9 days before everyone finally gave up and packed those little orange reflective bags and flashlights deep in their closets in sorrow for a failed mission done bad. Donated all the snacks and “Welcome home!” decorations to a children’s foster place.
Nine more days passed, and little Eon who played outside on his bike just on the edge of the city on his parent’s long driveway and liked to ride his bike just a little outside of the lines but not so far but not so close to the strict boundaries his parents had set for him but was fast enough to go far without his parents noticing and still be back in time, saw something. It was approaching sunset, and from anywhere in the city during sunset you could see glistening water sparkling on the horizon line if you just looked west.
Little Eon saw a man, covered only with a waist length jacket tied around his upper hips walking slowly, softly, begrudgingly into town from the horizon.The water behind him, our sun creating a dark silhouette that blocked out any noticeable features a seven year old would need to confidently identify someone. Or at least that’s how Eon explained it the next day at school in so few words. Eon stood there, paralyzed in fear and awe for almost a whole minute before calling out in screams. His mother and father came running, hell, half the town came running. Eon crying, pointing his finger directly at the man’s head, the sun glistening behind that head, the crowd in front of that head’s eyes trying to distinguish from afar if it was really the man who they thought it couldn’t be.
There were gasps, screams, suddenly “It’s Zeeck! It’s Zeeck! It’s old man Zeeck! He’s alive!” began to bellow and holler from within the belly of the crowd. Bodies went flying down the road, and before anyone got to him, you could see Old man Zeeck’s figure drop to the ground. On his knees, he swirled in slow motion before hitting the concrete, the sunset catching him with little effort, his body paralleling the horizon line.
We got to him in what amounted to seconds but felt like hours. Zeeck lying there motionless, a corona of heads above his attending to his new wounds and exhausted body. I didn’t see much, but I did see his eyes. They rolled back and forth from the top of his head to the bottom of his tear duct, everything pink but the red veins and a black, distant eyeball. I was pushed to the back of the crowd, and Zeeck was lifted above all of our heads, scurried to the town emergency room. The rest of us stood there for a few moments, many dispersed after some more moments, but not me. I would’ve stood there all night, I never took my eyes off the horizon.

I’ve worked in the bakery for 3 years (including by myself when Covid hit after my coworker walked out for about 2 years) and we’re led by false promises that I’d get to do fun stuff like decorating cakes if I went full time. I being naive fell for it, and got trapped. Now with a control freak manager, a lazy coworker who’s gone for the week visiting family, and me suffering some kinda mental burn out, I think I’ve had enough but finding a way out when living with with people who won’t take your side (mostly my mom, dad at least supports me leaving for a different place if I’m not going to be taken seriously).
For some quick context that’s important for the incident: Saturday I had taken off months in advance for a family wedding, but once we knew it was in the afternoon and my workaholic manager (older lady, probably like 60s or so), begged me to come in and help until noon (normal end time on saturdays) because she had “too many orders” to do for lazy coworker to do on her own. I stupidly agreed, but reminded manager I had to be out by noon so as to not run late for the wedding. She agreed.
I came in that morning and worked like a good worker and let the produce manager (who was in charge of us that day) know I had to be out by noon so as to not be late for the wedding, I would not leave earlier than that, but couldn’t stay later (if I didn’t have the event going on I would’ve had no issues staying after). He stated that I wasn’t allowed to leave until everything was done regardless of time, and when I tried to protest, I was shut down. Miracle of all miracles, we got done a bit early. Went to the wedding and had a good time.
Cut to today. I called in sick this early morning because I was sure I had a stomach bug since late Sunday night (I figured maybe it was from the rich food), my first bathroom trip when I did a number 2 was just pure water and reared really bad on top of stomach pains. By yesterday it was still hanging on, so I didn’t eat much of anything but had a lot of water.
This morning I was supposed to work, but the stomach cramps were still around and I legit thought I was going to mess myself three times before my alarm for work went off. When it went off later, I said screw it and called in and told her as much. My manager pitched a fit whining that she was going to be by herself and how I better be in tomorrow when I said I didn’t know if I’d be feeling better by then.
I unfortunately do feel better now, so I’ll have to work the rest of the week while coworker’s gone visiting family, despite this being the second time she’s done this within two months. I hardly take days off save for family events, sick days are even rarer for me to take. I just find it so frustrating and I know it’s going to be brought up when I go in. I doubt the store manger will say anything if I talk to him about it (not the first time this has happened and I was forced to just give in and just let it go.)
I guess I just need a safe place to rant, and maybe advice to what to do/say if it does get brought up

I see alot of people posting on here asking for ideas on activities to do with their kids that won't break any of the stupid registry laws. Wanna know what I just did with my son? We went outside and hunted fireflies. No law against that. You don't need a trip to Disneyland to make memories. At the end of the day all any child really wants from their parents is time. I garuntee you when I am dead and buried my son will remember the times I took him out I'm our backyard and caught fireflies with him and explained to him that when they shine their lights they are looking for a girlfriend to make babies with. And I am sure he will look back fondly at that memory. The registry sucks but I love my kids and I am very resourceful. The registry will NEVER keep me from making memories with my sons. Take care!

Next week, my dog (Margaux) and I will set sail from Echo Lake to Bend, Oregon along the PCT. While we've been training in Southern California for the last few months, this will be our longest trip to date. We chose this section because we'll still get the beauty of the top of the Sierra's without the snow conundrum...not to mention that the pooch wouldn't be allowed through most of the Sierra's.
For those concerned about my dog, Margaux is a 55lbs Golden Retriever, we've gotten sign off from our vet with all her updated shots, and has been training with her saddle bags and boots. We've been doing 10-15 mile hikes 3x a week in preparation. She'll only be carrying 10-15% of her weight in her bag (mostly her dehydrated food and little things that take room, but aren't heavy). I'll be using her as a barometer of when we need to stop for the day. We plan to keep it between 15-20 miles/day.
That being said, I still have some questions about our adventure...because of the snowpack this year, I'm curious about the snow conditions in Desolation Forest through Donner Pass. I haven't been able to track much down. Admittedly, I'm new to the FarOut app and don't know how to navigate the interface well. I'll have crampons, but i'm hoping to avoid bringing an ice axe.
TLDR questions: Has anyone else had any experience bringing their dog on part of the hike and can provide some learnings? Any thoughts on the snow conditions in Northern California? We'll be looking to get a ride from Reno to Echo Lake - does anyone know a service that provides besides uber? Just some questions that have been running through my brain as we pack up our gear.

My father was a drug abuser for a long time and without any details it caused me to resent and hate him more than anything even after he became drug free since alcohol just took its place. I had never been comfortable with anyone, especially someone my age , doing that shit. Then about a year and a half ago I met someone who had problems with that stuff, but I was willing to look past it becuse I was convinced he loved me, which wasn't the case. One day after a while of being forced to be sober of weed and alcohol he told me he no longer loved me. It hurt me. Alot. And it made me decide to never look past it again. From then on whenever someone told me they did weed or they drink and they aren't at least out of high school, I block them and cut all contact immediately. Then a about a year ago I met someone even more amazing. Perfect in every regard. And I put my full trust in her as she had told me she doesn't do that shit. I trusted her. She helped me discover who I am and she's the person I cared about the most. Then about a week after a conversation where she again said she doesn't do that shit, apparently she went on a trip with some friends and also took a couple hits of weed. I didn't find out until today. And I feel so betrayed and heartbroken. That's the third person who I thought I could trust and love who turned to drugs. I know I'm being selfish. But this is something I'm just tired of.i don't want to cut off this girl because of how much she means to me but this betrayal hurts me so much. I haven't stopped shaking since I've learned. I've started taking depression pills a while ago, and between those and her previous support, I had decided I wouldn't kill myself on my 19th birthday like I had been planning to do for a while, but I just don't know what to do anymore. Please help me. I don't want to lose her, but this has hurt me more than any of the others. Please give me advice on what to do.

i (16F) have been dating my girlfriend (15F) for about half a year now. we went on a trip to an out of state event and on the first night, we went downstairs to the hotel lobby to just sit and talk, her mom started texting my gf that i was annoying, an attention seeker, and should just leave (we were 3 hours away from home)
i cried because i was confused and upset, and she asked her mom to be gentle when talking to me since i was having a rough time mentally. her mom continued to call me names and demanded she come back to the room.
my gf goes up and after 30 min i go up too. at this point its midnight and her and her mom are yelling, her mom calling her a narcissist and screaming. eventually her mom said to me “im sorry you read those messages. those werent for your eyes”
they stopped at 2 am and we slept till 9-ish, where her mom woke us up to keep fighting. her mom started yelling at me and lecturing me, saying if i had a problem with what she said, i needed to say it to her face like an adult. i hid in the bathroom for a bit and finally came back out. when i did, she said when my mom got there, she would talk to her and tell her about “the things i was doing”. and when i just said ok, she got mad and then threatened to tell my mom about me being groomed a year prior. i started sobbing and begged her not to, since i hadnt told her yet because i was scared. my gf started to yell at her again to stop and they started arguing again.
my gf called her older sister (23) and was crying to her. her mom then took the phone and my gf tried to grab it out of her hands
her mom pinned her to the floor and hit her, grabbing her phone back while my gf cried on the floor begging her sister to help her
i was hyperventilating and didnt know what to do, so i ran out of the hotel room crying. my friend was there to grab stuff they left in the room the day before, and my gf’s mom told me to come back in and grab my stuff and to leave
i forgot to mention, but my mom started driving to pick me up at 9 since i was talking to her about it, and when this happened it was 10 am
when my mom gets there, she wants to go up and talk to her mom, but her mom then proceeds to threaten to call hotel security if she does.
we leave and for the past few months, her and her mom have been fighting 24/7, at one point her mom was driving with her and they started arguing, and her mom started to just scream. not say words, just scream, like a child. my gf msged me and said she genuinely thought her mom was gonna drive off the road.
her mom keeps flip flopping between hating me and trying to suck up to me, but after this recent talk with my gf, hearing her tell my gfs friends that “oh you guys wouldnt like her girlfriend, shes loud and (other bs)” im just done
my gf has asked me many times to not notify cps because she doesnt wanna be separated from me, but i cant watch this anymore. shes told me the times before that out of state event, other times her moms abused her
i dont know what to do. should i call? i dont want my girlfriend to hate me. i love her alot, im worried, im scared for her. ive spent the past few months scared and sobbing constantly.

I (20f) am celebrating my 21st birthday next week. My mother suggested we do a trip down to Atlantic City to celebrate as she gets free rooms. Since getting a free room limits your availability, and only she can see which rooms are free when, I asked her to send me the dates that would be available.
I am doing a research fellowship out if state this semester. It's self-scheduled so I have a lot of flexibility but there are bi-weekly that I need to attend. She was aware of this. I am already taking days off to attend a conference related to my research, which my boss has been receptive to, but this is only a ten-week process so missing an additional meeting would be tough unless it's an emergency.
My mom came back and said that she had booked the room for a Wednesday-Friday morning stay. I told her that Friday mornings were impossible for me as I have these weekly meetings. To make matters worse, this meeting comes at a crucial time in our research, and being hungover or taking the meeting virtually from the car was going to be tuff. I suggested staying through Thursday or selecting another date after the fellowship ends.
My mom blew up at me telling me that I was being combative and needed to listen to her because “she is the parent and I am the child.” I told her that I wasn't trying to be combative, but I have made a commitment to my fellowship over the summer. She said she understood and would change the trip so I could be back in town on Friday.
I called my mom to check in with her and she started talking about the trip and places we could go on Thursday night. I said I thought that we had pushed the trip back a day and she told me that she had not and will not be changing the reservation and that I already should have adjusted my schedule for it.
Wibta if I refuse to stay past Thursday? I think I would not be because this is a boundary I have asserted at every point in the process, and it feels as though my mom was being sneaky about not changing the date.
At the same time, she’s my mom and she's trying yo do something nice for my birthday, and I am not sure if this should be a battle I choose. Why upset her more about something she’s excited about?

This is a long one I’ll try to sumerize but might have to make multiple post. im sharing with you the details to vent and eventually to ask for real advice so if you can’t help don’t comment.
TLDR: I humiliated, threatend, attack and defamed a lot of people im my town, neighboring towns and the city. know I’m stuck dealing with the consequences. This has been going on since I’m 10 it got worst when I turned 15 and I’m supposedly 24 know.
So ive been abused since I was little supposedly since I was 5 or 7 but since I can’t remember anything from 9 down I can’t speak on that. Also before going into it I lack emotions and I only feel bad about 2 women I’ve hurt. The first thing I remember is when my dad pretended to be decent and took me (10) and my little brother (7) to an mma gym to learn how to fight. Things started good I pick the lessons up with ease wich is when another student J got jelouse and started insulting me to preface im 10 but have the mind of a 7 year old most of the time so I thought nothing of it and tried to be his friend. I was asked by the treiner to punch a heavy bag but got bored and decided to throw it J tried to do it but broke his back and had to go to the hospital Al the crying how “it’s not fair and he’s just been here for a day” I felt bad and my brother got sad dad was just loughting and calling J a pansy.
After that the other students blamed me and no one wanted to spar with me the coach kept telling me it wasn’t my fault. But being me I felt guilty J went to try and do it 3 more times with the same effect and things got worst for me. Until my dad found away to “help me” people started treating me better and I didn’t know why until I saw 1 particular student giving my dad cash and then taking my brother away. The third time I saw this I ask him what was going on and his reply was “there just playng, don’t tell your mom or I’ll beat you, don’t follow or I’ll beat you and don’t ask me for mony or I’ll beat you.
When they returned I touched my brother on the shoulder and he vomited when the coach ask who wanted to spar I got up and I accidentally broke the guys leg and he started crying of how “I was just playing with your brother, I love him and I didn’t mean to hurt him”. When I did this my dad asked me to “tell your brother I sent you to do that so he loves me like he loves you” I replied with “no when I grow up im gonna do the same to you and starve you like you did me(no clue what the starving thing is). That’s when he pimps me out he tells me to go get something from the bathroom and when I got her I get jumped by the hole class. Even the female trainer and 2 students all of them raping me and then being let go given a nickname by the coach titan. I block and Not understanding I went on to break his other leg, arm, kneck and a tooth and got him thrown out. The coach ask me if that wasn’t to much and I told him of how if he threw my dad out all was forgiven (I blocked my rape out).
the moment he chases my dad out my dad say “but you liked it too” I see the coach do the begging head movement and I put 2 and 2 together I then tell him to rape my dad or I’ll do the same to them. Next day some of them show me videos on recorder of my dad getting pinned down by 10 to 15 year olds and then videos of him crying against a wall. Then the coach tried to hand me 400$ and my dad tried to beg me for cash saying how he deserved it I smiled and rejected it telling him that he should learn to enjoy it and how he will have to live with the memorie of how his 10 year old son Pimped him out he went out sobbing and left us ther. That’s when the coach brought the guy I thought was the only one doing that to my brother in and ask me to let it go I did.
the guy ask me to follow him to make things right he takes me to the bathroom to suck me off. Im not a homo so I push him he convinced me when I’m about to let him my brother comes in and ask if he did it yet I look down and the guy try’s to cut my D off with a razor. I beat him hard and when I go back the guy said I attacked him the coach slaps me. And I tell them how things went that’s when my 7 yrld brother says that he’s in love with him and that if he managed to cut me there he would have gone to live with him. The reason being I heated him and I tried on 2 ocations to kill him out of jelosy.
I felt guilty and tried to fix thing with him that’s when I noticed that my dad left us. That’s when the coach said I should leave and they keep my brother I wasn’t going to leave him there and tried to pull him behind me but the coach threatend me. and a fat 10 year old wasn’t going to beat 10 students and2 adult trainers with knives. Lucky my dads a street rat he called my grandfather (mothers father) and he came in just in time. He threatend evryone to back down (he’s 4’10) and he knew that something happened I told him crying yes. Then tried to convince the other student to report him they all loghfed at me saying “you just went through that once” and my crush in that gym pretended to be sad and told me how the coach rapes her multiple time and what he called her and when I begged her that she could live the us she slapped me and said “why would I love some one week you tolerate thing like this until you can get out of it”. After we got threatend and laughter out my grandfather took us home confronted our dad and he told of how our mother knew. That’s when I got the habit of putting knifes in front of her door.
This is one of the lightest shitholes I climbed out off things get worst from here. The next one will be the one I need to ask advise on.

Eight weeks ago we were in Cozumel, and I took a snorkel tour on a boat that included divers. While on the surface looking at the divers at the bottom, I told myself "I want to be down there." When back on shore I signed up for Discover Scuba and over the next two days took four dives. Magical - it was like being a kid again (I'm 62). I would have done more, but we moved on from Iberostar for a couple of nights in San Miguel.
Fast forward to last weekend, I did my four OW dives at San Carlos Beach in Monterey. The first three dives went as expected, no issues aside from a bit of anxiety ahead of the first dive, and I was pleasantly surprised to find that with a 7mil suit, hooded vest, booties and gloves, I was warmer than almost all my days skiing and (winter) mountain biking. In fact my feet are colder now sitting on the couch than they were in 53F waters.
On the fourth checkout dive, I got to plan and lead the dive for myself and my buddy, to be shadowed by the instructor, who otherwise left us to our own devices. Plan was to swim out to a float, pick a bearing, descend and follow the bearing into the dark and murky kelp forest for 15 minutes or until one of us was down to 2k psi, take a reciprocal bearing back to (more or less) our starting point and ascend. While I wish we'd spent more time pausing to check stuff out as we went along, the point of the dive was to slalom through the forest with its modest surge on the selected bearing (easy to get pointed in the wrong direction!) until time/air told us to turn around, and make our way back to ascend where we started. When we ascended, we were 20 feet from the float we dropped down from.
All in all it was an extremely satisfying and confidence-building experience. I'm glad I decided to take on the challenging, chilly, and murky waters of NorCal. Trudging down stairs, across the sand, and into the surf, wrestling your fins on in the swell, and surface swimming out to the dive site, is a lot more work than simply falling off a boat! I can't wait to do it again!
I'm looking forward to going back to Cozumel, though we tend to hit Hawaii at least once a year, and I have a friend in Vanuatu who'll be working out of Palau for a while ... my best friend of 50 years, basically my brother, who's been diving since high school and wonders why the fuck I didn't start diving years ago. We're excited to dive next we meet whether it be here in NorCal, or somewhere in the SP, or maybe some place our hydrophobic wives will be willing to spend a vacation.
In the meantime, I'm hoping to get underwater at least once a month, and to that end I have most of my regulator kit (just need to decide what spg/console setup works for me), plan on getting a BCD next, and renting exposure suits as water temps dictate. I'm hooked, my wife says I'm not just certified, but certifiable.
I'm seeing the sport as an opportunistic one: wherever you travel, if you can dive there, go for it! And unlike my other two passions, skiing and mountain biking, I can see myself doing this until I'm infirm, at which point I just as soon be dead :p

My girlfriend (32F) and I (34M) have been living together for a while now. Unfortunately, her dog has become a significant source of frustration for me. The dog is untrained and frequently wreaks havoc in our home by shredding things and having accidents all over the place. It's been a constant battle trying to maintain cleanliness and order with the dog's behavior.
Recently, my girlfriend had to go on a business trip, leaving me alone in the house with the dog. One day, I decided to invite some friends over for a hangout. Before leaving to pick up something from the store, I let the dog out to go to the bathroom and then locked it up in its cage. I assumed everything would be fine.
However, when I returned home, I was greeted by a foul smell. I quickly discovered that the dog had broke out the cage and wrecked chaos. Not only had it defecated and urinated all over the floor, but it had also knocked over my mom's ashes, scattering them across the room. It was a devastating sight, I was shocked and began to cry.
In my emotional state, I couldn't bear the presence of the dog any longer. I made the impulsive decision to kick it out of the house. Shortly afterward, my friends arrived, and I explained the situation to them, Some of them helped clean up the mess of ashes and dog shit, while others went out to search for the dog.
As I'm typing this now, my girlfriend is still on her business trip, completely unaware of what transpired. I feel an immense sense of guilt for my actions and the impact it may have on our relationship.
