So I was one of the ones who could not find the 1.0 mg version of wegovy. So I talked to my doctor and she was fine with me jumping to 1.7 mg. I started this Saturday night which I usually do to give myself Sunday in case there are any side effects. Luckily this week I had Monday also since I work in the government. Well Sunday was fine some mild nausea but nothing crazy. The problem started Monday morning around 3:00 a.m. I woke up and had to vomit which lasted around 30 minutes all day Monday I felt a light-headedness kind of walking around in a zombie days and will still having some sulfur burping. By Monday afternoon everything started to return to normal. This morning I got up and ate my usual small low carb breakfast burrito and a small cup of coffee and I feel fine everything seems to be returning to normal. My wife is also on wegovy. She experienced some mild nausea but her doctor had prescribe to her zofran so she made sure to take one every 4 hours and she had no issues. My recommendation is if you are a strong stomach person then you should be good if you are a week or mild stomach person I would ask your doctor if you could also get a prescription of zofran. I'm a strong stomached person but this even got me at one point. I will say the night before I had a heavier than I would have liked to had meal and maybe that had something to do with it. I'm thinking before my next shot I'll take a lean meal like maybe a grilled chicken breast and some fruit before my shot to make sure I don't have something heavy in my stomach if there are any questions feel free to ask me we are all on this journey together and I want to give my personal experience to anyone who wants it.

I was in a relationship with a woman for about 2 years. The first year was just pure love and happiness and the second was filled with doubt on her side. She would tell me that she loved me over and over and over and then magically it just disappeared the next day. Recently I found out that she's bipolar and that might have explained some of that.
It took me about 2 years to get over her. To stop cursing her name everyday multiple times a day. In January I realized that I was over her. At least it felt like it at the time. I felt free.
I had a major milestone in my life come up and I felt charged up and positive and I wanted to reach out to the people who had helped me in my life. Helped me and my recovery. So I reached out to her and broke the silence and told her all the things that I appreciated that she did with me and for me. Then she told me that her life was horrible. And that she had thought of me that morning and wasn't doing well at all.
We lightly kept up for a couple of weeks and then eventually our paths crossed again. She needed somebody that was safe because she didn't feel safe. She needed somebody that would love her because she didn't have someone that was actually loving her. She now had somebody that was taking love away from her, controlling her, and treating her like she was a bad person.
She was in an emotionally abusive relationship and it was hurting her physically and mentally. I love this woman so I tried to help. Well she does say that I did help.
I spent time with her.. I fell into the trap. Things seemed magical for a couple of weeks. All of my dreams for the past few years had come true. Little by little I would learn how bad things were for her. How far she demand herself to squeeze love out of nothing. I learned terms like trauma bonding and showed her how it fit in her life. As I was reading things to help her I realize that I was fucked myself. I was probably trauma-bound to her from all the times that she gave the love and then took it right back.
Theoretically things ended last night and I'm a mess. I'm exhausted. I feel used, I feel broken, I feel worthless. It's a horrible feeling to have love from somebody constantly retracted. Now I have to face that I probably have some long-lasting emotional issues. I'm not a young person. I doubt I'll ever be able to trust a woman when they say they love me.
I just gave her my happiness so that she could give it to another person that won't be giving her love back.
Let's hope for some sleep at some point today. Running on about 3 hours of shit sleep.

N,V and Uzi were currently holding up in a building not too far off the spire. "Ok first things first you two were worker drones? And you were owned by Tessa, the human that is trying to kill me?" Uzi said "yes we were worker drones at one point in time but she wasn't the soul owner of three of us that would be James Jensen the CEO jcjensen in spaceeee. He wasn't very nice to us" v explained "what do you mean not very nice" Uzi questioned V. V stayed quiet for a minute "v what happened" n said concern field his voice "if Tessa wasn't around he would take his anger out on us whether that be with his fists or his taser. It didn't matter if we failed a task or not, he would find one of us to beat relentlessly." V explained when she felt Uzi hug her "just this one time" Uzi said as n did the same. Whether she would admit it or not she was glad to have them. A few minutes late both n and uzi broke off the hug and they all decided to get some sleep. V's sleep was haunted by memories of the manner one in particular "you drone I need your assistants" James said "how may I be of assistance to you master" v said "I need you to satisfy a special need of mine" James said. V realized what he meant "b-but sir I'm not that type of drone" v stuttered out "oh I think you will be just fine. You do want to be a good drone don't you" James hissed v nod and followed him to a room. That night was amazing for one of them for the other It was a nightmare

Yesterday, I shut down my computer for the night as I normally do. This morning when I tried to play Jedi Survivor, instead of a play button there was a download button. I found that odd and checked my hard drive spaces and found that 135 gigabytes were missing from the drive I installed it on. I didn't think much of this and just attempted to redownload it, nope, nothing happened, I attempted this several more times, and still nothing was happening. I decided that I would just try again later, so in the meantime I decided to refresh on some Jedi Fallen Order to find that it was also uninstalled. I got very suspicious and checked my EA library to find that EVERY. SINGLE. GAME WAS UNINSTALLED AND NOT REDOWNLOADING. Still attempting to keep my cool, i tried clearing my download manager history, somehow thinking that would help. I then once again attempted to redownload Jedi Survivor and once again nothing happened, I checked my download history to find that it marked the download as completed even though it did literally nothing. This has already brought my low opinions of EA even lower. If anybody has experienced something like this, can you please tell me what fixed it?

So I’ve been at a cyber software company for 6 years now and we have grown from ~250 people to ~1,000 and were sold and merged in the process. After many of the execs cashed out, the entire upper management team has changed since the re-branding and we’re doing worse than ever in terms of bookings growth (used to be 20-40% yoy and we just did -25% while our top competitor is still doing great). Of course management only reports growth in ARR which is only coming from switching perpetual customers to subscription licensing. At the end of last year we laid off over 200 people after spending wild amounts of money of presidents club and a global company kick off in Vegas.
Today they’re way underpaying people who grew the company and know it inside and out for new reps claiming that we have less experience in enterprise sales. They have also fucked up the product trying to build everything into one UI (no innovation, and the new platform has tons of technical and licensing issues). Our customers are currently suffering from under-deployed solutions and many of them are being told they’ll have to migrate without any real path to do so (customer success and pro services teams are way understaffed/qualified and have no incentive to deliver quality programs). The CEO blamed the slowdown on poor sales execution (even though we have some of the best sellers in the market) and now sales is being pressured to squeeze every penny out of customers that are already under-deployed or having serious product issues. There are many other issues here that I’d like to share, but being in this position has made me realize that no one really cares about the customers or reps and it seems to only be about profitability while they work reps to the bone and give them no real support. I have heard that this is all too common, so I’m wondering if I should try to move to a new company or just change careers and start an outdoor company like I dream about?

This is a long shot, and maybe a strange request, but I'm trying to find a specific painter I met in London years ago, but not for anything home improvement related. No, this is not some 'missed connection' sort of thing, and yes, I know this is a DYI subreddit, so don't use your time reminding me. I'm posting here on the off chance that the person I'm looking for uses it.
The story goes like this. I'm American. During the summer of 2009, I was living in London as part of a university program. I met a man (I can't remember his name; he gave me his business card with his painting business' contact information on it, which I thought I kept in a box of mementos from that time, but I can't find it) and a woman (I'm pretty sure the woman's name was Jennifer) in a pub off Edgware Road. They were childhood friends but not a couple, and would have been 35-45 years old.
The woman was dying from cancer. Her doctors told her she had very little time left before she would either a) just die or b) become so ill she would no longer be able to do anything. So, her and her best friend were having one last night out before she passed. My then-girlfriend and I spent time with them that evening. After the pub, we went to Victoria Casino. Jennifer (I really hope I'm getting the name correct) was incredibly energetic and lively and, despite the fact she was clearly dying and probably in a lot of pain, seemed very happy and a lot more at peace with what was happening to her than I ever could be.
The man was putting on a brave face and trying to be fun for her, but he knew what was happening. He tried to laugh it off, at one point saying his wife was going to be jealous because he was meant to be home two hours earlier, but she wouldn't need to worry about being jealous for much longer. You know the kind of jokes people tell in situations like that.
It was only a few hours, but this moment has been living in my head for years and I think about it a lot. For whatever reason, I really want some kind of closure. Don't get me wrong; I'm not expecting some kind of miracle ending. I know Jennifer didn't get better. I'm not a doctor, but you could see she was dying. I'd be surprised if she survived the rest of the summer, let alone the month.
I'm not even entirely sure what I'd ask the guy. I guess I just want to know how the remainder of her time went and that, hopefully, the end of her life was at least reasonably comfortable.
Anyway, thanks for listening. I have no expectations for success, but I've been thinking about trying to find this guy for years. I decided to finally pull the proverbial trigger, and this was the closest thing I could find to a place that made sense to ask in.

I wanted to take advantage of the Memorial Day Weekend promo for the extra 2k bonus LP. I found the hotel I wanted, confirmed it was eligible for the promo, but when I went to go book it last night (still within the promo period) it no longer showed the 2k bonus applied to the booking and RM is gaslighting me saying they don't see that it was eligible. I thought it must be a glitch because when I noticed I no longer saw the bonus I ran a search for several major cities and none of them showed the 2k bonus despite showing it previously, just like my hotel.
Did anyone else run into this? I know I was still in the promo period because it was around 10pm ET last night, promo was supposed to run through 11:59pm CT, and the website even showed a countdown at that top for the remaining promo time.

I came back to the game recently and have been chugging through the early game. I remember a year or 2 ago unlocking lights was a huge deal for me because before then my factories were really dark especially at night. Dark enough that it was annoying to navigate and inspect. Fast forward to my current playthrough I realized that unlocking lighting has come and gone and I haven't bothered to install any. I just don't need it, it feels like it never gets dark enough in my game that it matters. My friend who plays in my game occasionally says things can get a bit dark for him. Is there somewhere in the settings I can't find where I can adjust the base level of light in the game? I'd like to make it darker if I can to force myself to design factory lighting.

I just got a couple of 1-1/8” wire rope slings and I was wondering if something that big would be useful for knifemaking, or is that too big? If so I was going to see if there are any clubs in my area that would want it.

This is about a friendship, I'll take it down if I'm the wrong sub.
That title might sound terrible, but I (36f) have what I thought was a great friend (41f) for years. I met her and her bf 7 years ago and got close with her. I was single when I met them, I am now married with a baby.
When her and I first started chatting, I was her bartender. She was always "nice enough." But u could tell she didn't totally like me, which was fine, I know Women get pitted against each other for no reason sometimes, but I promise I'm no threat to a taken man, and never was. She eventually lightened up with me and she became the only girl I talked with and hung out with on a regular basis for years. When we talk on the phone, her bf will chime in and all has been great.
Jump to this week. The bf calls me at like 845pm a few days ago. "Gf is in the hospital. Would you be able to visit her?" I tell him I'll call her the next day (our hospitals don't allow phone calls after 9pm.) We talked for about 15 min and that was it. He filled me in - she's an alcoholic and has liver failure.... for the third time. If she quits drinking now, she might get to live another year. No possibility of a Transplant because she's a repeat offender. Think fuckin frank Gallagher. Not to sound ill compassionate, but it's the reality of her situation.
I text her the next morning (Saturday). I said "I love you, and call me if you are up for it." 5 hours go by, so I called her. She sent me to vm. She eventually calls me. She started talking to me as if I knew everything going on, so I figured the bf said he and I spoke. When I said he called me the night before she got quiet, and in a very skeptical tone, asked, "wait - he called you?" And I said yes, he wanted to let me know what was happening and asked me to visit you if you wanted me to. She declared she LOVED being alone right now and was so happy no one had seen her, blah blah. Then abruptly hung up. To clarify: the bf has NEVER cheated on her, she has never cheated on him, together for 9 years, and I met them together as their bartender. He and I never reach out to each other unless it's an emergency.
My heart is screaming at me about how scared she is and I know she has isolated herself so much over the past couple years - to be blunt - not many people give a shit she's walking through this right now. Yes, she did it to herself. But to me, she is still a person who deserves compassion and love, even if at a distance.
Do I do anything? Do I act like she didn't react that way? Do I say oh well and watch her sink? I'm confused and selfishly hurt, but am capable of acting like nothing happened.
Tldr: friend has a year to live and is being an asshole.

I have a 10 month old and I've been feeling extremely burnt out. I work full time as an accountant and returned to work (from home) about 2 weeks postpartum so I've been working full time since. I returned to working in office 6 weeks postpartum. My current schedule has 1 day working from home and 4 in office. It was manageable before but now that my baby is getting more active and sleeping less, it's been really tiring. My brain is still quite foggy most days now which is not okay as an accountant. There's a lot of expectations for me to be like how I used to be at work and I have tried to explain to them that I am a new mom getting about 4-5 hours of sleep each night dealing with a lot of lifestyle changes (marital issues because of all the house work and baby responsibilities put on me and confidence/body image issues because of the lack of time to focus on myself). I understand everyone at work could be going through their own issues as well so I don't know how to speak to them about any schedule changes or anything else that could help me relax a bit. I have a lot of friends become full time moms after having a baby but it's not an option for me (not due to financial reasons). Just want to hear how other moms deal with working full time and a new baby.

Is there any local interest in playing in a lacrosse league? Any enthusiasts? I know there’s a club team at Madison central but I was looking more for guys around 20-25 or older, there’s a league throughout Gulfport-Texas that was looking for more teams in area and it’s a nice setup, ideally 20-25 but 20+ is good too.

Does anyone get extreme episodes of physical anxiety without mental anxiety? Not akathesia bc I have a history of that. But I’ll be fine then all of a sudden my body feels extremely anxious all over, like almost unbearable , then I start to panic mentally bc it feels so bad and I panic about my life. It lasts sometimes from 20min to an hour. Then disappears
So I have always had bad anxiety but especially more so these past two years. I also was on Wellbutrin for some time in 2022 which made my anxiety through the roof until I stopped. I feel like some of the anxiety never went away. Since my hospitalization last September I was put on lithium and Geodon which helped for a short while but then starting January I began struggling hard again. These past four months have been so difficult. Finally about two weeks ago, I was able to get my Geodon changed so I take 40mg in the morning in addition to the evening. It seems to have worked almost immediately and I have been doing really good since then. I’ve finally been sleeping every night easily , my intrusive thoughts have lessened, I feel stable and happy. Occasionally I’ll get anxiety In my chest and it feels like I have butterflies in the pit of my stomach. But overall I’ve been good. Now all of a sudden the past four days I’ve been getting random bouts of the extreme physical anxiety. I’ve felt it before but it feels more frequent lately. The only thing that helps is drinking a calming tea with medicinal herbs in it. It feels like my whole body is super anxious and feels unbearable. Not sure if this is related to akathesia but it feels different .
Anyone else deal with this symptom? It is crazy it comes in like a wave and my mind can be fine but then all of a sudden physically I’m super anxious then my mind follows after where I will panic about my life

I’d like to politely gain the attention of people who studied a non-music major in college while as a intermediate/intermediate-advanced violinist. I would say I’m roughly an intermediate violinist, being able to play pieces in Suzuki 4 at a slower tempo (though I haven’t practiced in several months since I wanted to give up). Last night I was listening to my favorite recordings and the violin just sounds too beautiful too give up. So I thought, “maybe I should go back, but I’m starting college this Fall”. Should I? I feel like I won’t have the time to. I have classes starting 9am and my latest is 6pm. And there’s all that time for studying and doing assignments. My commute time is around 50 mins max with heavy traffic. And I also have another hobby that I’m serious about: drawing. It just all seems like I can’t fit in a practice with a decent time that will show improvement.

Taking my parents on a bucket list trip (they both reside in Europe but will fly to YYZ in mid December to spend Christmas here). We will fly to HNL after Christmas for 2+ weeks. Both are late 60s; active and in good health.
I have 2 options: - Fly direct (10.5 hours) and arrive to HNL in the evening. Will be approx 4am Toronto time when we land. **would fly premium economy on the 787.

Fly YYZ-YVR (5 hours) arrive YVR in the late afternoon. Would spend the night in a YVR airport hotel and can have a nice dinner and rest.
Next day fly YVR-HNL (6 hours) depart around 10am and arriving HNL around 2:45pm. **would fly in economy but in extra legroom/seats

Should mention I’m a flight attendant so long flights/layovers/jet lag are just part of my life. I can appreciate this isn’t the case with everyone and would like an unbiased opinion.
Having said this: my parents are leaving it up to me to decide on what is best and most comfortable. Besides the transatlantic flights they fly at least annually to/from FCO they have never flown anything longer.
