2023.06.01 04:58 Cloud90234 Cod Champs Play-In Format (Thought)
| I have a format that I believe different E-Sports utilize as a Last Chance Qualifier per say..this format makes it so the points accumulated throughout the season still matteany team can still qualify for a champs spot at the end of a season. The Top 6 seeded teams at the end of the qualifiers/majors are qualified for champs and have secured a spot (I generally think this is a fair assessment, as the top 6 teams throughout this year have either persistently played well/had standout performances) Snapshot of Total Season CDL points The Bottom 6 teams that did not qualify for a champ spot by the final Major will have an opportunity to qualify through a single-elimination bracket play-in. The 7th and 8th seeded teams will have a first round bye while the 9th-12th teams play a first round elimination match to determine who will move on to face the 7th/8th seeds. Taking the pro standings from this year, I believe the bracket should look like this: Cod Champs Play-in format Thoughts? I just made this as food for thought. Maybe something like this could be done in the future. submitted by Cloud90234 to CoDCompetitive [link] [comments] |

2023.06.01 03:29 rainstcrms [TX] Requesting resources
Hello everyone, this is probably going to be a super long winded post, but I want to best outline my situation. I am currently living in Grayson County, Texas with my husband and toddler. We were displaced from the trailer that we owned in December of 2019 due to a house fire which burned our entire house down. For the last two years, I have been the only member of our family working. I was making $45,000 per year as a manager for a call center. The reason my husband wasn't working for the past two years is because we were saving money by him staying at home, rather than paying for daycare. I'm really unsure on what to do. TLDR: Laid off on April 7th. Was unable to pay May rent as a result. Apartment complex filed eviction without giving a 3 day notice (they say that they did). I tried to pay rent today for May but was denied because it does not include May, late fees, eviction fees, water bill, and the fees for June rent. April 7th, 2023: I was laid off from my job of over two years, April rent was paid via the online portal. April 7th - May 19th: I submitted over 300 job applications during this time period. April 7th: Applied for food stamps and unemployment benefits. April 11th: Unemployment benefits were approved in the amount of $843 biweekly. April 22nd, 2023 7:00 AM: I contact the apartment complex via e-mail informing them that I cannot access the online portal to pay my upcoming rent payment. It appears that they have switched to a new provider for their online services. April 22nd, 2023 10:15 AM: The apartment complex asks me if I'm still having issues, to which I send a screenshot as proof that I am. April 22nd - May 1st: I have not received a response to my e-mail to get this issue resolved. May rent is now due May 1st, 2023: Sent the complex another e-mail explaining that I cannot access the online portal. I do not have the funds to make the full amount of May's payment at this point, but a relative of mine was willing to help me with half of it. May 11th, 2023: After so many phone calls, I am now approved for food stamps. Which takes a load off of me considering I can now have food for my autistic toddler, as well as have enough money for my bills. May 11th, 2023: I contact the apartment complex requesting a payment extension until May 16th. They advised me that they will file for eviction on the 15th. May 14th, 2023: Electricity was cut off due to non-payment. Stayed with a friend for a few days until my electricity was back on. May 16th, 2023: Had to make a payment to turn my electricity back on, therefore was unable to make the rent payment for May at this time. Still cannot access the online portal where I can make a partial payment, and they will not accept a money order of less than the full amount due. I contacted multiple different resources in my area in order to get May's rent covered, to which they were unable to assist me. May 18th, 2023: My husband got a job, but it only pays $14/hour. You get what you can get type of situation. May 19th, 2023: I was offered a position with an insurance company as a Benefits Representative starting June 19th. Things are looking up! May 22nd, 2023: I sent an e-mail requesting a temporary payment arrangement to which I received no response. May 31st, 2023: Thanks to my husband's paycheck, I finally have the full amount due for May's rent payment! Hooray! They still won't fix the online portal for me, so I have to get a money order. I bring the money order to the front office, only discover that they have filed for eviction on me and are refusing to take the payment of $805. Instead, I will owe $805, plus the late fees, plus the water bill that I never received due to not being able to access the online portal, plus the eviction court fee, and PLUS June rent by the time that court rolls around. I informed them that I never received the 3 day notice to pay or quit via a note on my door or by mail. They stated that they placed a note on my door on May 8th, 2023. I ask for a copy of the note, to which they could not locate it in my file, but rather found it scattered on their bosses desk.

2023.06.01 01:37 kagoolrule Recently diagnosed, travel often, feeling a little lost and unsure how I should be looking after my skin.
So I recently got diagnosed with Roasacea, I believe it's ETR however that wasn't validated by the dermatologist.
I noticably began to develop a redder face, it looked like sunburn and seems to be triggered by dark alcohols, caffeine and some foods. Red wine is the worst. It became something people would mention, triggered social awkwardness and was even apparent on video calls.
I visited a dermatologist where I am based in S E Asia (at a top hospital) and got the conveyor belt appointment treatment where I had a quick once over and then out the door. I felt like I left with a lot of questions, but was travelling soon so bought some meds and went on my way.
I was prescribed Metranodizol gel (apply twice a day) and some Eucerin moisturizer for sensitive skin (also twice a day).
As I was travelling I bought as much of this with me in my suitcase and purchased an 'anti redness' facewash from the pharmacy.
My issue now is that I've ran out my Metranodizol gel. I am currently in Croatia and can't get a prescription. I'm not even sure if I should have been applying this every day but the dermatologist made it sound like that should be my routine for the foreseeable.
What are my best options here? I'm being careful with sun exposure, using SPF 50 and continuing to use the facewash everyday and evening. I keep using the anti inflammatory moisturiser but that will soon run out too.
I do have access to cosmetics but found they're all bases around covering up rosacea and not actively treating it.
I've seen a few online dermatologists that seem to be able to issue prescriptions, has anyone had experience of that?
Ill be travelling extensively for the next 3 months which makes getting an appointment with an English speaking doctor and getting some meds difficult (but not impossible).
Any top tips for dealing with this condition and how to manage it whilst moving around a lot?
TIA

2023.06.01 00:54 AQUALME_ A cool way to modulate up a semitone and into a major key:
Here's the chord progression in the key of E minor: Em, G+/D#, G/D, C# sus4 (or sus2, I don't really know if it matters), C, Bb, Bb6, F (optional 7th). How this progression works and has the emotional qualities that it does is I think by tracking the bottom note of each chord, if you look at each NOTE like it's already in F major then it makes more sense. E going chromatically down to the fifth and then emphasizing Bb, then resolving to the third (A). But from the perspective of the E minor world, it's from the root down to the sixth BUT instead of going to the 5th it's the flat 5 which kind of tells your listening brain that the Em is now Edim! And the emphasized Bb that I talked about from before makes that also clear, and it naturally feels as though the music wants to go up to F major. Some qualities of this progression is that it's very "cemented" as in, you can't really go back to making it feel like Em is the root after doing the progression in reverse like you can with most modulating progressions for example: A progression to modulate up a perfect fourth could be this:(Which I also made, In the key of D at the start) D, Bm7, Gmaj9, A, Am7, Eb7/G, Cm7/G, G. Which you can do in reverse to get back to D easily, what i'm saying is that this progression is cool, I just stumbled upon it while practising piano, and please tell me if there are any SIMILAR progressions to this one.

2023.06.01 00:03 TheJoker_89 Calming Racing/Intrusive Thoughts
I’ve been struggling with anxiety and nervousness since I was in about 7th grade. I coped with it throughout high school and college, but once I was in my 20s and working full time I knew I had to get on medication to calm my brain. I’m 33 now, and feel like I’m just at a cross roads of figuring out who I am. I’ve been on and off many meds working with my doctors and now currently on Lexapro, Wellbutrin and Buspar. I had been taking Qelbree since being diagnosed with ADHD in the fall of 2022. However I decided to stop the Qelbree as I was just feeling very tired throughout the day, and didn’t want to feel like I was being over-medicated.
I wouldn’t say I’m the classic example of ADHD, I.e. not being able to sit in school, hard time listening to the teacher or following rules, etc….mine is more on the Inattentive side where my reading comprehension was always poor, and was never fully able to digest information people say to me in a conversation. And even to this day when I get asked to do something adhoc from my boss I’ll panic but then want to get it done as fast as possible to get it off my plate. I’ll review it and make sure it’s accurate but never go above and beyond.
I am married, and have a nice house but still feel like I’m not deserving of it, and I would say my self esteem is slightly low. I guess I sort of have the imposture syndrome, especially with starting a new job last year. I feel unmotivated and lazy from time to time. No real depression where I can’t get out of bed, but the blues from time to time.
I’ve always had racing thoughts with some OCD (counting, cleanliness) and intrusive thoughts with an addictive personality - watching porn, using nicotine, marijuana use over the years to relieve stress or make me feel euphoric to escape my fears. And then of course my mind recognizes that these things are okay in moderation and I’d try to quit them forever and then relapse down the road.
Any tips for coping with intrusive and racing thoughts (like being unable to settle down and relax because you FEEL like you have to get something done whether it be errands, work, chores around the house)? I guess I could try to exercise more but is there any tips or techniques that help to trick your brain into not giving in to those intrusive and unwanted thoughts?
I know this is a lot but I wanted to explain my entire situation because it’s been bugging me for a long time, and my therapist hasn’t really been able to help me besides doing breathing exercises and writing down words of affirmation for myself.
Thanks!

2023.05.31 23:42 Amrx4to5 Chromiecraft - Heroic dungeons 7th June & 1-65 XP rate changes
A mighty fine day to all of you wonderful people on
wowservers,
https://www.chromiecraft.com/en/ https://discord.gg/chromiecraft
Many full dungeon rewrites later, we are finally through with TBC dungeons in terms of
progression plans. It has taken some time but that means we can now finally get into some TBC Heroic dungeons!
Heroic Dungeons on Chromiecraft (all of them) will be released on Wednesday, 7th June! A short while after this we will be announcing the TBC world bosses release as well as the first TBC raids.
Some off-set season 1 PvP item will release (arenas will start on the first raid bracket) and the Karazhan attunement will open for all to complete as well. As a reminder, raids in Chromiecraft will have two modes - normal with a light tune to account for the increased power of Wrath skills and talents as well as what we are now calling our
'mythic' mode which will give a serious challenge to all (new mechanics as well) and rewards for completing these raid types!
We have also been listening and taking in your comments and feedback, one of the most requested features involves our current usage of weekend XP rates. Currently, we offer X2 quest XP rewards every Friday 00:00 to Sunday 23:59 (server time which is UTC). Alongside that, we have our
Recruit-a-Friend (RAF) module which offers 30 days of permanent rested XP to level 65 or 30 days (whichever is hit first).
Upon the release of Heroics, the default quest XP rate on Chromiecraft will be X2 going forward, everyday.
A couple of things to mention regarding this:
- This only affects Quest XP gains (which also doubles the reward upon a successful RDF dungeon run) and runs until you hit level 65.
- The Recruit-A-Friend (RAF) module still gives you permanent rested XP (blue bar) for 30 days or until a character hits level 65 (whichever is hit first).
- You can still opt out of this and play with X1 rates should you choose to do so (type in the command .weekendxp rate 1).
- Challenge modes (Hardcore & Ironman) are still run to x1 rates and are not affected by this change (Bloodthirsy only rewards XP by mob kills so is also unaffected by this).
So, why should you choose Chromiecraft?
• We are a PvE server with a sole focus on making the best Wrath of the Lich King core out there. Created by the team behind the open-source Azerothcore, all fixes we do to the server is available for all for free, forever. Outside of the boosted XP rates, all other rates are blizzlike.
• We have optional built in Challenge Modes on the server. We offer Hardcore (1 life, permadeath and deleted character upon dying before level cap), Bloodthirsty (gain XP only via mob kills) & Ironman (no talents, only white & gray items) rulesets as well. With a dedicated guild (.challenge guild) to join other challenge enthusiasts, you can earn some fantastic rewards such as T3 armour mogs for your class, pets and mounts. You can even combine challenges for even more rewards!
• We offer our own Transmog System on the server. Not a fan of transmogs, no problem simple type in .transmog off and it is as if it never exists for you!
• We have dedicated GM team who do all we can to ensure any bots, RMT or gold sellers are banned as soon as discovered.
• Longevity. We have been around for over 2 1/2 years now and will be around for years and years to come.
• Zero P2W items available, forever. We promise we will never sell gear, boosts or stats / power to anybody. All donations are immediately reinvested back into the server (
we are a registered non-profit organisation) with Chromiecraft. These go to paying for servers, bug bounties, freelance developers etc. You can also earn Chromiepoints (CP) in game! We pay out to the winners of the most amount of BGs per bracket (twinks very much welcome here) as well as to those who report bugs and contribute to the server every month! We also hold random in game events such as Hide & Seek where you can win shop items as well.
Thank you as always for taking the time to read this and have a fantastic rest of your day!

2023.05.31 23:26 Ok-Supermarket4492 Introducing Seattle City Council Newsletter
Hi Reddit! My name is Sharon, and I am a college student interested in civic engagement and politics. I have been working on a project with some other students to make the Seattle City Council meetings more accessible by putting them into short summaries. I have put an example from last week below, though the real thing has a bit more formatting that doesn't translate into Reddit.
This project is relatively new, so we would really appreciate any feedback you may have and hope to make it as informative and accessible as possible! If you're interested in getting these newsletters every week, please click here:
