TL;DR I have a 20-class pass at a yoga studio that I’m trying to use as much of as possible before the passes expire. I’m determined not to pay the ADHD tax. Tonight I arrived just a little too late and was denied entry to the class but they were going to charge me for it. I'm seeking some comfort as this was, emotionally, a huge setback on my goal.
Two weeks ago, an alert went off on my phone that had 1 month left on my yoga 20-pass I bought last June. After looking it up I was shocked to discover that I’d only used 8 out of 20. This meant I only had. 17 days to use 12 yoga passes. I think I spent half an hour sitting at my desk at work, freaking out. The value of these classes is about $200.
After I’d processed that I said NO. I will NOT pay the ADHD tax on this. So I looked at my calendar and I devised a plan to make time over the following couple weeks to make time for these yoga classes. As of this morning I’d used 4 out of 12 and was feeling good, but I hit a setback today.
A lot of classes start at five and I normally finish work at five. But I make my own hours. So, I carefully devised a plan together to make sure I left work on time to get to the class.
EXPECTATION
3:30pm. Start my Leaving Work routine (I have an app for this)
4:00pm. Travel to yoga.
4:30pm. Join a meeting remotely from my phone.
4:55pm. Leave the meeting and go to class.
Midway through the afternoon, my co-worker changed the meeting from 4: 30 to 4. Okay, no problem.
REVISED EXPECTATION
4:00pm. Join meeting and do my routine to leave work at the same time.
4:30pm. Leave work to get to yoga.
5:00pm. Arrive at yoga.
And of course, what actually happened…
REALITY
4:00pm. Meeting is postponed 10 minutes.
4:10pm. join the meeting.
4:36pm. Meeting ends late. Thanks to time blindness, this is the moment I realized that I was behind schedule.
4:44pm. Leave the office.
4:55pm. Thanks to a construction detour, I'm stuck in a traffic jam. Several minutes away from the yoga studio. I was about to start crying, but calmed myself down by saying “I could just slip in the back a couple minutes late, nobody would care”. I couldn't do anything about it, so I should just accept that it was going to take longer.
5:03 pm. Get out of the car and sprint to class.
5:04 pm. Burst into the lobby to an instructor, only to hear the first person I see tell me “The instructor wanted me to tell you that you’re too late. The class has already started and you aren’t able to join.”
Cue a meltdown in front of a (definitely NT) yoga instructor. I am working so hard to carve out time for these classes, and seeing this time block get wasted on account of 4 minutes was heartbreaking. It meant I’d have to find a way to make time for another class, on top of the ones I already have to squeeze in. The instructor was actually very nice about it, she got me some water and after I’d composed myself she ended up transferring my “missed class” fee to a 5:30 class.
The thing that makes me the most sad is how PRECISE it all is, you know? I worked my ASS off to be there on time, but in some situations, part marks don’t matter. Even though I worked it out this time, years of being late means that every time it happens it seems like the whole room is matter-of-factly saying “Good people show up on time. Your tardiness proves that you’re disrespectful, irresponsible, and that you don’t care about this. You deserve punishment for your moral failing.”
I’m trying to focus on the win: in spite of all this, I managed to go to two classes tonight, and I didn’t end up getting charged for the missed class. Now I have 7 classes to go to in 11 days. It’s so easy to let this kind of embarrassment prevent me from trying to go, but I’m not going to give up. Yet.

I am in need of buying a new car, but I have some hesitation because of my debt, credit history, and current car-situation.
I currently have a sedan that I bought about a year ago. I am in a horrible loan situation but I was desperate for a car, at the time… $16,000 at 15.8%. The car is currently worth around $9,000 trade in and I owe $11,800. I have $1,000 to put down. And potentially another trade-in on an old car my mom has that she doesn’t use (~ $1,000 trade-in value). I’m looking at a 2018-2023 Honda Accord.
I make $72,800 per year with bonuses quarterly of ~$1,000. After tax and health insurance I take home $2094.00 bi-weekly.
Problem is…
I owe about $6500 in credit cards. My total credit limit is about $14,000. I have a ton of student loan debt that I pay about $480 a month for. I don’t pay for housing as I live with a disabled family member who I am a primary caregiver for.
My current FICO per my Discover account is 667. I know it’s not a great indicator, but my Credit Karma account says TransUnion is 658 and Equifax is 612. I do have a few collections on my account. Around $7,000. I am on a payment plan to pay back these debts. I became very ill and used credit cards to stay afloat for 8 months.
Is it even possible for me to finance a $25-30k car? I feel like my negative equity in my current ride is going to obliterate my chances of getting a loan. Can I do anything to boost my odds? My mom said she would co-sign, if it would help. She has a 720 credit score but has a small amount of income due to retiring. If I add her would it help—even with the low income?

Hi
I really need some advice.
I am 28 years old, female, 5'3, 170ish lbs. I take visanne for heavy periods/adenomyosis.
2 months ago, about a week before Easter, I woke up with what seemed like a pinched nerve in my lower back/hips. There was no injury or history of injury. I literally just woke up with the symptoms.
I was experiencing:

• reduced hip/leg mobility (inability to sit crosslegged, position knees away from body, or rotate leg joints without pain, stiffness)
• pain when rotating leg joints outwards or inwards (sudden, severe, debilitating shooting pain from hip down the leg)

I saw my family doctor who said it confirmed that it sounded like a pinched nerve and suggested physiotherapy. I saw a physiotherapist who did an assessment and agreed it was likely a pinched nerve in the lower back. She gave me exercises to do. (This was 4 weeks after Easter).
It's now been another month. The stiffness, mobility issues and pain have gotten far better in my left leg, but there has been zero improvement in my right leg.
I am also now experiencing:

• numbness in the pinky and ring toe of my left foot
• numbness of the upper left side of my lip
• burning sensation on both sides of my lip (never both sides at once)
• burning sensation in my left eyebrow
• burning/shooting nerve pain in mid back

As well as severe stabbing pain in ribs and lower back that occurs when I do THIS movement. But only when I tilt towards the right side. It doesn't matter if my arm is raised or not, if I tilt towards the right and scrunch at the waist, I literally yell out with pain.
These symptoms are all intermittent, but occur daily if not every other day. The face and foot symptoms occur regardless of my positioning. The pain in my leg/ribs seems to occur when I move a certain way.
Because things are getting worse rather than better, I had another appointment with my pcp today. She was unconcerned and essentially told me I'd have to grin and bare it.
Her reasoning was:

• the pain is intermittent so nerve medications are unnecessary
• I had a clean MRI in 2020, so MS is unlikely
• the facial numbness and burning is probably some kind of atypical migraine (I have had migraines and ocular migraines in the past, but never these symptoms until after the leg pain began)
• the worst of the pain (ribs and leg) occur positionally so it's unlikely to be something serious like a spinal tumor
• the left side has improved which suggests the right side will also improve at some point

The thing is... every time I look into pinched nerves or even slipped discs, it says they're usually healed within 6 weeks. It's now been 9 weeks with little improvement and some worsening symptoms. The burning and numbness in my face is starting to freak me out. And I'm not sure how comfortable I am with doing absolutely no diagnostic imaging on this issue and just "hoping" it gets better.
Is this a normal response from my doctor? Should I be seeking a second opinion? Or is she most likely correct? Thanks in advance.

My personal situation is:
37 years old and single.
I currently live abroad and earn $15k per month in a country where there is no income tax (meaning $15k is my monthly take-home).
I've saved about £230k and plan to move back to the UK next year and buy a house.
When I move back I'll also leave my current job, and will likely become self employed where I'm targeting an income of about £70k per year (basically the same as the company that I co-built and run out here, but at a more of a lifestyle business pace, so I'm fairly confident I'll succeed at this as I've done it before - rather than being a pipedream).
I'm debating whether to buy a place in cash for about £220k or maybe put down a 60% deposit and get a mortgage.
I like the idea of living mortgage free, as apart from utility bills I'll basically have no outgoings, but I'm thinking if I get a mortgage, then I can invest the unused money into a pension (I currently don't have anything in a private pension).

FFXIV occasionally crashes, and sometimes my computer bluescreens, it will also refuse to boot while taking me to BIOs whenever i try. When it reboots after the crash, the VGA error light comes on for a moment and then the boot error light says on until it boots it goes straight to bios until i restart it. My dog was just diagnosed with mild IVDD type 2. My vet said nothing was needed yet but he's going to see her again in 3 months to see if she needs some anti inflammatory stuff. I'm reading though that she should be on crate rest for a bit. Is that true, should i get a second opinion? I'm trying to treat it before it's bad & shes a huge runner so I'm a bit concerned.

• Fertilizer manufacturing facilities in the Netherlands use fossil fuels to produce nitrogen-based fertilizers.
• Higher fuel prices would result in reduced agricultural production and less environmental damage from burning fuels.

Ignore the environment in order to continue with the same rate of burning fossil fuel - is it worth it? The government says yes.

As an outsider who sometimes reads news like these, I can't help but wonder how that fits together. Any clues?

Currently using megameklab for PDFs and an ms surface pro running win 10 to do mech sheet stuff on.
I am finding Adobe reader and Firefox to be though to use. Tracking heat and ammo isn't very fun. I'm considering running photoshop as the solution but erase and heat tracking options are a bit hard. It's slowing down battle resolutions.
Note I do have a pen and keyboard for the tablet. I'm really not a fan of paper.
Anyone have any good solutions to share?

Hello everyone!
I recently graduated with a master's degree in biotechnology. I was made an offer to work with a small growing startup as a research assistant with barely any benefits and a lower than national average pay (61K USD). This company is also located in an expensive city, a studio apartment in the area costs around 55% of my monthly paycheck after taxes. However, I really like the job and feel that working with a startup in this role will help me in making meaningful contributions in the field of science. In addition to research activities, I will also be helping them with manufacturing, document preparation and laboratory maintenance.
I was also made another offer recently, from a bigger, well-established CDMO for a QC Analyst role. The pay is almost 17K USD more than what I was being offered at the startup. Additionally, they are offering me a great benefits package. This position is also located in a southern state with a significantly lower CoL (I also currently live here). I have a good amount of research experience in research labs from my undergrad as well as master's. However, I have never worked in a QC role before. I have heard that QC can get repetitive and boring. I feel that working in this role however could help me get accustomed to a GMP environment and I can use that to my leverage in future positions as well (in R&D as well as QC).
While I am truly more interested in the research position, I feel that it would lead me to struggle financially. I am also not hesitant to gain QC experience. I am confused about which role to pick and thought your advice would help me in making a more informed decision, thank you!

As I venture into my 30's, I have been worried that I'm falling behind in the whole settling down area. I mean, so many of my friends and co-workers are starting to get married, buying minivans, and talking about how cute their toddlers are. My problem is that my career has taken a big toll on my social and dating scene, that settling down or having a yearning to fill in a void hasn't crossed my mind yet. I'm currently actually pretty happy - at work and being single. I'm earning the most I have in my entire life and learning something new every day, for doing something I enjoy. Hello,
My grandma owned a mobile home in a trailer park but then she got very ill. My grandma basically raised me so I moved in with her and was essentially her live in nurse in her last few months before she passed. My grandma never had any kind of will or trust but she told me that when she passes that the house and everything in it would be mine.
Naturally when she passed (almost two years ago now) everything defaulted to my mother but she honored my grandma's wishes by signing me on as a co-owner of the mobile home. My grandma was a bit of a hoarder so the initial plan was once we went through everything and fixed it up, my mom would let me have full ownership of the house to do what I wanted with. So since then I've been living in this trailer by myself as my mom already has her own home. I've been paying the space rent and utilities for the home in full and my mom occasionally helps out with property taxes.
Since then our relationship has severely deteriorated and we are no longer on speaking terms. I found out today through my brother that my mom plans to sell the house and keep all of the money from the sale for herself. While I'm not necessarily opposed to selling the trailer as I don't plan to live there forever, I don't accept the idea that I wouldn't receive anything from it. In fact I had just recently been trying to work up the courage to speak to her and ask her to finally take her name off the house so I'm a little annoyed that she seems to have no intention to do that before I've even had a chance to speak to her.
I'm worried that she would somehow sell the house out from under me without my consent and I want to know if I have any legal entitlement to the money from a potential sale or what actions I can take to protect myself and my claim to the house.
TLDR; I inherited my grandma's house with my estranged mom and she wants to sell it and not give me any share of the profit, what can I do?
