Umm.. I just posted on here about telling your employer maybe a day or 2 ago.. about if you told your employe why/ when. I just KNEW something was up.
I called out due to a flare up. I told them what wasn’t working (working 14hr days 5 days a week, as a salaried 40hweek employee), and that this flare up will not reduce unless I’m Given the time to rest. I told her the more stressed I get the longer this will last.
People suggest fmla in response to me debating if I should have my doctor write a letter for my employer. Monday night, after exchanging (respectful) back and forth texts with my supervisor, I said “honestly i am digging my own grave health wise right now I haven’t been this bad in years, if what I need (didn’t say this pasty but: 8hr work days and to be allowed to take a sick day when needed) doesn’t align here, altho it’s the last thing I’d want to happen, I can send you the reports and resign if that’s what you think best.” She replied telling just breath, she will help me with parents this week and I can take time to focus on my reports. She also said she will move our 1:1 Tuesday AM virtual so I don’t have to leave house at 8Am and at work til 8pm, and says we can go over all reports then. Sounds like all is good and she is being her normal self….

I was speechless and took me about 12 hours of debating what tactic this was or game they were playing / how this benefits them.. if my mention of resigning caused this or emailing Hr… but no! I 100% just got fired for having autoimmune diseases. Correct? I think they think I’ll either always be (or claim to be) sick and unreliable going forward. For a second I thought no, because then I’ll be eligible for unemployment -they wouldn’t do that , but after a quick google search seems I am not eligible due to not working there long enough.
Recent lack of productivity is correct, but it’s a direct result of my autoimmune diseases & flare up - in which I asked / told her what was needed to make this stop and settle (no accommodations , simply just working the job & hours I signed off on) and all was ignored.
Am I right ? Is this wrongful termination& can I move forward & do something with this?

I am looking into DNS, but I am not quite sure I understand it, so I would appreciate your help.

I am an experienced roleplaying partner who has been writing for over 20 years. I am over the age of 25 and prefer to write with people who are also over the age of 25. I write in 3rd person in the present tense, and I typically write anywhere from 3-10 paragraphs per response, depending on what's going on. I have been reading up on this. Here is one thing I don't get. They say your slide board should be six inside of the breakpoint board (plus drift).
But how can that be the same for everybody? People are different widths. I'm probably six inches wider than my wife. Shouldn't my slide board be farther inside then?
It's pretty important because (if I'm understanding everything) the line between there and the breakpoint is what determines your visual target. I feel like if I follow the rule of thumb it will make me come in high.

The money was finally coming in, it was kind of ironic, a whale man who hunted whales.. but he was good at it.. however.. eventually the same problem came around.. whales went away.. and they had to go farther.. and farther.. but Hakugei had begun to take pride in his work.. he would spend days, weeks out at sea dodging authorities and hunting more and more whales..that was until.. something happened.. something always happens right?… while hunting for whales in the South China Sea Halugei found… something.. it could not be described.. it’s pure golden shine distorted it’s physical appearance.. it nearly blinded any of the crew that looked at it, the only thing that could be described about this thing was.. the smell… it smelled rancid, putrid.. like a thousand dead bodies in one.. but it was beautiful.. despite its glow.. The message was clear.. and as Halugei began to pass out from pain.. he woke up on the shore with a chunk of the anchor by his side.. what.. just happened?… The health care provided to illegal whalers was not exactly very good.. all that he had was a sketchy doctor with a very thick mustache.. his leg was rebuild from the same iron from the anchor chunk.. the same anchor that took his leg in the first place.. the doctor was.. sympathetic.. the the whalers crazed ramblings.. and provided him with some help in his.. quest.. Halugei was never the same since that day.. he stopped seeing his family all together as he set off with his crew to fish up anything they could find.. but they weren’t catching for profit anymore.. Halugei needed the meat. Using the equipment he was given by the doctor, he and his crew would set capture beasts of the sea along with unwilling victims and infuse them into high ends.. making the monsters he was compelled to make.. each time he would go out to sea he would always be looking over the side… searching for that beautiful light once more.. Halugei has gone mad.. his ramblings and paranoia haunted him daily as he would search farther and deeper into the ocean, attacking any vessel he sees in order to make more monsters to please this light.. each night he would stare into the watery abyss.. hoping that something may one day stare back.
Support Items: His mighty harpoon: a 18 foot long harpoon with a barbed tip which he uses to catch both man and creature alike. It is said the tip glows read at night.
His iron leg, “the nail”: an 18 pound leg of iron, while normally this would be a detriment to whoever wears it, Halugei is quite spry with it.. sometimes people can overhear Halugei talking to his iron leg.. asking it questions of the deep that no sane person should ask or know.. and sometimes if you listen very closely.. you can hear the nail… speak back..
The Umibōzu: the captains ship may seem like a slightly out dated whaling vessel.. but there’s something special about it.. the ship.. is alive.. thanks to the experiments with the high ends, Halugei has merged his ship with a nomu causing it to have a will of its own.
Special Moves: Into the abyss: if water is available, Halugei will just drag his opponent to the bottom of the ocean. Hope you can hold your breath.

I have to get recieve and give myself injections and get my blood drawn fairly often as part of the routine for the medications I'm on. This never used to happen to me, but a few years ago, I started to deal with vasovagal syncope as a response to getting my blood drawn and to injections, as well as during tattoos (but not peircings for some reason).
The thing is, I cannot tell why it happens sometimes and not other times. I'm autistic and being on the spectrum affects my perception on senses, which I believe is why I don't experience physical pain as noticably as other people do. Injections and getting my blood drawn have never been painful or scary for me even as a kid, so they haven't ever been stressful either. When doing some googling, it seems that it's often cause by strong or unexpected emotions, but since these things don't bother me physically or mentally, I don't see how that could be a cause. I thought that perhaps the reason blood draws could cause it was because of the loss of blood, but I've never had syncope as a reaction to any other blood loss, like during/after an injury or nosebleed.
Dealing with vasovagal syncope isn't debilitating to me in any sense, since I generally recover from it quickly and it only affects me during shots/blood draws/tattoos, but since it causes me to faint and/or vomit, I really really would like to be able to know when it will or won't happen so I can be prepared. Sometimes eating beforehand helps, but sometimes it makes me more likely to vomit. Sometimes when it does happen it's very intense, and sometimes it's not so bad, and sometimes it doesn't happen at all.
It's really important to me to get a better understanding of why/ when it will happen, especially since most injections I recieve are ones I have to give myself. I don't want to risk my safety or inconvenience nurses and and tattoo artists any more than I already have.
Do you know why it happens sometimes and not others and what specifically might be causing it? Are there any medications or methods which could help me prevent it from happening? Why did did it only start affecting me a few years ago but never at all before then? Should I talk to a doctor about this?

Hey so I'm currently based in Rotterdam area (Netherlands) and I'm currently from Venezuela, a spanish speaking country.
So yesterday a friend and me were talking about local birds and she mentioned that there's one here that's doing a strikingly similar sound to her wake up alarm. And wonders if it could be a crazy coincidence or that maybe the bird learnt the song.
She also said that she thinks it could be a Miro or Myro? Not sure how it's written. I tried to Google the bird and more info but only a few pics show up with no relevant info to read.
Is it because this name is in Dutch and not English?? Thanks for the help!

Let’s begin with “Halloween 4: The Return of Michael Myers”. The premise is back to the old one here, after the break of the third movie, and it’s nothing outstanding. A couple of kills and a continuous pursuit around Haddonfield. The Carpenter hole is sorely apparent. This is an overall average "Halloween" part. The best this film has to offer is a surprise ending. We are shown the POV of an assailant who brutally attacks Mrs. Carruthers with a pair of scissors. Who is this assailant? Well it’s none other than our protagonist, Jamie, who has seemingly become a dead ringer of her uncle. The screams of Dr. Loomis are truly unnerving. This ending was an enjoyable twist while ultimately minimized in “Halloween 5: The Revenge of Michael Myers”, when we would also get our introduction to the deepening lore behind this boogeyman with the “Cult of Thorn”.
Now, I fully understand what a slovenly mess “Halloween 5” is, but the creative decisions clearly seem to fit within the director's atypical vision for the film. Murdering Rachel in its opening moments is a warning that this is Michael’s “revenge” and he’s back to his brooding, stalkerish self. The storyline is at its darkest and most intense both here and in “The Curse of Michael Myers”. The “man in black” character brought a new sense of mystique and ambiguity. It performs like a beautiful Giallo slasher that brilliantly showcases Michael’s raw evil. I thought it was some great good fun that had more to offer than it’s predecessor.
Now we’ve reached the end of this so called trilogy with “Halloween 6”. Michael Myers is a force of evil officially transcendent of any humanity in this film. The writer’s efforts to tie together Halloween’s origins with Michael’s was interesting. The Producers Cut is superior to the Theatrical Cut for me. Why? More Loomis, better developed characters, delves deeper into the Druid cult storyline. Donald Pleasance’s also gives us a comforting, much more sympathetic approach with his final outing as the doctor. It’s creepy, weird, and atmospheric. I thought it was worthy entry.

We bought a place. We didn’t know there was a tenant living in it before we saw it. He was gone before we ever went to go look at it. We found out it had been a rental property from all of our new neighbors who hated the guy, said he was a nuisance who would scream at everyone and pound on walls.
The sink started leaking and we had a plumber come out. The plumber pulled about 20 of those steel picture hanging nails with the twisty tops out of the garbage disposal. We figured out he must have been disgruntled after he was told to leave.
I wrote about this on another group and people ripped me a new one for 1. Buying a property that someone else had previously been evicted from (again, we had no idea he existed until neighbors told us; 2. Using the word “renter” (???????!?) I had no idea the word renter was a pejorative, as I’ve been a renter most of my life, and never considered it an insult.
I have all the sympathy in the world for someone who isn’t thrilled about being displaced when their rental gets sold and the new owners want to live in the home that they purchased. But, again, we didn’t know he existed. He was living there before our time. And we saved up and scrambled and put every ounce of energy and effort into buying this place because we know how awful renting can be. I also googled this guy after the nails in the disposal incident, and he’s currently living in a $3.9 million dollar house not far from this condo. So he’s a lot better off than we are.
I’m just here to ask if anyone else has ever ever experienced this before, both having to fix things from a previous disgruntled tenant, and having to deal with internet a-holes who act like everyone who dares to ever scramble to buy a home of their own must be some kind of evil greedy Dbag.

Will be in LA and San Diego end of July. Booked two nights at Bakersfield Fairfield Inn & Suites for 12,500 points per night. For Bakersfield when I looked online, the monetary room rate was only $131 USD per night.
Booked three nights in San Diego for total 91k points (something like 34 k points + 29k points + 28 k points consecutively). Also Fairfield. $268 usd per night. Rated 2 star hotel on google. There is also a 3 star Fairfield just down the road but it was 117k total points.
I feel like 91k points for 3 nights is a lot?
For full context, my relative is gifting me stays with their points (total of 224k points) and I would like to make the best use of them.

Halloween 2020, I can’t believe it’s going to be 3 years. I have other things contributing to depression but this just takes the cake of wanting to throw things across the room sometimes. I had to spend the night with my now ex, on his friend’s couch. There was me and my ex on one end of the couch and two others also sleeping in the living room.
For context, one of the guys was sleeping on a couch behind my ex and I. I woke up to the sensation of someone standing above me. I didn’t look up or move. I felt hands on the side of my ribs. I was frozen, I didn’t bat at the hands or move an inch.
I stayed awake, just frozen. He finally moved away and went out the door to the back. He came back inside, I have no idea how long he was out there, and he stood above me again and touched the side of my arm.
I didn’t wake up my boyfriend until I had stayed up all night and about 6:30 I woke him up to take me home. The guy was already gone.
I’ve talked briefly to people about this and therapy just doesn’t stick. But I have a hard time calling it assault. I have no idea what it was really.
It comes and goes the anger but I saw the guy had a mutual friend on Facebook who I adore and it just brought back a lot of feelings.

I keep a little book of what loved gifts to give each npc and I’ve played through the game before so I’m not spoiling any story or anything for myself. I want to build hearts with her in my current game but she doesn’t seem to be on any of the wikis along with nothing when I try to google or search where the mod is listed. Anyone that can help me win her over again? I can’t find anything except the storyline on her 😩

So I'm a South Indian (F), living in South India. So 2 days ago I was going somewhere and waiting for auto at an "auto stop", where many autos come and go different places from there. So I JUST arrived at an auto stop and this guy who is wearing goggles approaches me out of no where and starts talking "what's your name? How are you? Etc" . He was speaking literally so many things about himself like why he came South India, to study what, to stay where etc etc etc, fluently in English. Like a lot to share something with a literal stranger. Mind you I was wearing a full on scarf where even my eyes are barely visible let alone my face. It was a lot to share with stranger whose face you didn't even see. I just thought maybe he needed some help.
He said in Hindi "kya apko xyz shop pata hai, kaise Jana hai yaha se?". I said "actually mujhe nahi pata", he was like "aap Hindi baat krti ho? Actually Mai yaha Naya hu kisi ka koi bhi baat samaj nahi aa raha, you talk good Hindi, give me your number". I said "you're asking number so casually like you have known me for a while? Sorry I'm not at all comfortable giving you my number ". He said "arey give me number na kya hota hai, mujhe kaise pata chalega kaha kaise Jana hai, just give me, after that you can block me". Bro wtf? He talked as if he had the right to have my number.
I said "Aaj kal Google maps pe sab mil jata hai, and yeah there are many dudes who would gladly give you their number for help, i can give you my bro's number if you want, he'll gladly guide you through". He said "mujhe aapka number hi chahiye, bro ka nahi". He JUST.WONT.GO. He was literally behind me asking (literally begging) me for number and mind you that is an area where many people(neighbours) i know pass by. If they see a situation like this they'd literally tell my parents about this adding some mirch masala ghee. By now I already started getting stares and he already asked at least a 20 times. So i just gave him my number thinking i can always block him. He even confirmed if the number I gave him was correct or not by calling me and looking at my phone wtf. He still wouldn't stop talking but thankfully i heard the shout of an auto going to the place i wanted to go, so i told him I needed to go and went away.
After an hour, i start getting his messages in WhatsApp ASKING ME TO PICK A NICE CAFE FOR A COFFEE SO WE COULD BOTH TALK TOGETHER. I was like wtf, didn't you say you just needed guidance through this city like what places are good to visit and stuff? He said "we can talk this while having coffee". He sounded so entitled i lost my cool. I said "look whatever you are doing is wrong, even if you wanted to go to a coffee or ask number the basic etiquette is to ask first. But you are making demands to a literal stranger girl whose face you didn't even see". He started saying "hamare waha aise hi hota hai, sorry if I caused you irritation", i said "it's okay, don't talk like this please, I'm happy to tell you which places to visit but I'm not at all interested in this kinda meeting stuff and coffee ", he then asked a couple of questions about what place to visit and not even 5 minutes later, he again started saying "now that we talked for a bit, can we go for a coffee ", i lost my cool and blocked his number.
Guys WTF just happened here?

I keep getting suspended on TikTok Ad Manager for supposedly “creating high volume of duplicates” or whatever the fuck that means. I downloaded ads off of Pipiads (which everyone does anyway) and changed them up a bit (cut certain parts, changed audio, added text…). Point is, it wasn’t the exact same ad. And everytime I put Submit on the ad, 5 seconds later; my account has been suspended permanently.
Every-time I contacted TikTok support, they literally replied with the exact same vague message. I’m pretty sure they didn’t even read my ticket, they just copy pasted the same lame reply they always use on everyone.
I tried 6 different acounts, and some were even banned right after opening.
I gave up with this shit. Ads were not copies, and support is awful and useless with TikTok. I’m just gonna close my store and move on. I don’t have any intent in doing ads on Facebook or Google, since they’re more of a hassle and will probably generate no sales anyway.
I’m just sharing/commenting my experience.
Oh and I hope TikTok gets banned everywhere, goes bankrupt, or gets sued (which I don’t know how it hasn’t happened yet, given what a shit platform it is to begin with)
