Once the NFL draft finished and the dog days of the offseason began I began making a list. A list of moves I’d love for the Steelers to make this offseason. Over the passed month and a half the since the draft the Steelers have continued to do a tremendous job improving their football team. Currently the list looks something like this:

• Figure out who QB3 is✅
  
• Sign Byron Leftwich as an assistant head coach/pass game coordinator❌
  
• Add an EDGE to the OLB room as a true OLB3✅
  
• Sign Alex Highsmith to an extension❌
  
• Poke around and see if JJ Watt would be interested in unretiring to play w his brothers❌
  

As of now the team has checked off 2 boxes with the re-signing of Mason Rudolph and the signing of Markus Golden. By the end of the summer I’d expect Highsmith to be extended as well. Watt and Leftwich are another story though. With Watt having recently re-iterated his intension to stay retired and the Steelers seemingly being intent on giving Canada full control of the offense both seem like long shots. If the Steelers could pull it off though it’d cap off potentially the BEST Steelers offseason in recent memory. i'm failing almost all of my classes and there's only 2 that i ACTUALLY don't understand; the two classes being
•Chemistry, taught by a teacher that openly mocks "no child left behind" doctrine
•AP music theory, with only 1 mf passing in my class
the most infuriating part is that my test scores are actually consistently pretty good. i have a 45% in AP European history but my test scores average at about 80-90%. this is pretty much the same story for the vast majority of my classes.
every time i talk about my issues doing the work to anyone with even a single iota of authority i get the same completely useless response, "you just gotta do it." anyone who unironically utters this phrase has never had to live with a chronically fucked up brain.
i wake up at 5:00, and i get home at 3:00. it's not an impressive amount of time in the context of something that provides tangible results, but after devoting 10 hours of my day to filling out meaningless pieces of paper for the sake of bringing an arbitrary number up by a fraction of a percent, doing more of the same is like shoving handfuls of food down my throat after a 3-course meal. my brain simply does not give me the motivation to do this, regardless of how easy it is.
i thought medication would solve the problem but the only thing it did was make it even easier to understand my classes, making it even more infuriating that my grades can't reflect that. like seriously, i'm sitting here having to deal with the side effects of medications that are doing their job perfectly, and i can't just fucking pass like EVERYONE else?
my life would be so much easier if my grades just depended on tests. i shouldn't have to repeat classes that i perfectly understand because of this garbage. i'm tired of being seen as a lazy ingrate for it by people who can seemingly pull motivation directly out of their asses. it just feels rigged.

Hi! I’m excited to share my success story on here after over a year of misery. First of all- I have IBS-D, so I want to say this is my success story relating to D, specifically. I think I’ve had some mild form of IBS-D for many years now, but after I got covid, It’s been almost a near- constant flare since Jan 2022. I have missed a lot of work, had neverending doctor visits, etc (see my pathetic post history for more details). Anyway, I kept getting these ads for an app called Nerva (IBS hypnotherapy). I felt like it was gimmicky BS, but I was at a loss and decided to try the free trial. I think I laughed at the first session, but I kept up with the week and decided not to pay for it after. Then, they sent a discount offer to my email after I canceled. I thought, fuck it, with the discount it’s cheaper than a doctor visit without insurance anyway. I just finished the full 6 weeks, using it consistently almost every day (probably 5 days per week towards the end), and my IBS is probably better than it’s ever been right now. I mean, better than it’s been since before the flare. I found myself repeating the Nerva mantras to myself a lot throughout my random stomach pains or flares but honestly I’m having actually solid BMs for the first time in over a year, consistently, which alone feels amazing. I swear I’m not sponsored or trying to sell this but I just hope that if you haven’t tried it already and you’re at a complete loss like I was, you give it a try. I didn’t think my IBS was any more stress related than it was food related, but clearly there is a huge connection that I couldn’t even feel. I’m even trying some of my “trigger” foods and having some luck reincorporating things I’ve fully given up on! I won’t say I’m cured, but it has probably improved my symptoms about 80%, and I feel like I can actually live my life without being afraid again. I’m happy to answer anything in the comments. I started noticing results around week 3-4 of the program, also. I hope if you feel like you’re at the end of your rope and have tried everything, you give Nerva a try. At worst, it’s an expensiveish, very relaxing guided meditation that will make you feel soothed. At best, it might help you get your whole life back.

I've been renting for 3 years from a lady who lives very close to me. She asked in February if I would interested in buying her house and the house I rent as they are on the same land.
She had an appraisal done and it came back at 310k to which I said that's too high for me. She came back and said 280k and I said let me check interest rates. At the time they were around 5.5% and I said I wasn't sure so then she offered owner financing at 4%. I agreed and then signed a rental contract in March that said until July or when the house sells. In April I painted the kitchen and bathroom and began tidying up/buying things. In May she comes to me and says no owner financing. Interest rates are now up to 6.5% and I hustled to get a lender and a real estate lawyer and pre-approval. THEN I find out she doesn't want to move out until the end of July because she is running a home business and something or the other so this now begins to effect when I can lock in an interest rate. I had the real estate lawyer draft a contract and I asked for things to be split as fairly as possible in whatever is the normal way. Send to her and she sends back another contract which she signs where I am paying for everything and also liable for everything. She will not split closing costs. The way the contact is laid out, I am to have an inspection sign that I am okay with it within 5 days and she is not responsible for fixing anything if something is wrong. The termite inspection is to take place in July because closing would be August 1st meaning if I've signed I am okay at the end of June and termites are found in July I've already committed Earnest money. Also the seller doesn't want to be liable for termites found. Furthermore she has in the contract that she will not be providing warranties and I really need a general warranty deed with English covenants of Title. Also she has in there she won't make any corrections to defects I might find in the walkthrough.
I am feeling very distressed about all of this. I know 280k is lower than 310k but I feel very much like she is running the whole show. If I had known the real offer was 280k at whatever the rate was when she felt like signing a contract plus all these costs and liabilities I would've started looking for houses in February when rates were below 6% in my area. She wanted to do this whole thing without real estate agents and so I haven't had any guidance. I am seriously offended by this last contract and only really understand it because my late's father's best friend is an attorney who offered to read it. My own real estate attorney just told me "just write changes you want" instead of explaining to me everything going on. I have just yesterday enlisted a real estate agent and new lender as of today and I am honestly worried she will be upset and evict me. Maybe that is dramatic. But this whole thing is rubbing me the wrong way. I was actually happy to pay 280k for all of this because I would have both a house and a small cottage to use as rental income. But I am feeling taken advantage of here with the liability and costs lately. I just wanted things split fairly. I have instructed my new real estate agent to negotiate things fairly but I am also considering just ditching and looking at other houses under 300k. I've got a bad taste in my mouth from this experience. Other things to note - while I have been renting this cottage we've had a looser landlord/tenant arrangment than most people. I do have a formal lease but for example, there's been ants in the bathroom and kitchen now for a week and nothing has been done, there's a showerotten wood issue in my bathroom and instead of dealing with the contractor she is out of town and I am supposed to meet the contractor to deal with it. The water will be turned off while they are fixing the bathroom so I have to go live somewhere else for a week. I was of the belief that landlords had to make provisions for their tenants and I have been so understanding and patient because I have been worried about this deal falling through. There are different boundaries when it's tenant/landlord vs. buyeseller.
I guess this is both rant and an ask for advice? I am totally overwhelmed. I run a home business and need a stable place to live.

In reality, at that time, my numbers, barely 20, in 20 years of consensual activity.
My experience in fact, lies in the simple decision upon my 16 year old self. A need to release all that I silence. And so, a tongue lashing I would prevail upon a piece of flesh in my mouth. I would let out screams so loud, buried deep within my throat. Silenced, yet again. Another action dismissed.
And so began my vent sessions in silence. My thoughts released into the world. My energy calmed, enough to process, enough to ..... human.
I was made for this. To give of my body for the pleasure of others. To create pleasure for others with my body. To cater to their needs.
I believed that. Deeply. For decades.
Yet that is not the side of me people saw. A prude, in reality. Shy at times. Fearful. Sometimes I would pretend I was an actress and could play normal. That's pretty much how it always was. It became natural. To escape. With each person, each home, a new piece of me to develop. A new skill to hone. A new adventure to live. All of these confident pieces of me...... the shock, I know I have given people with my honesty, with my words designed by my own comprehension - an art - to each their own - without judgement - ask not, know not - I remind those gathering assumptions......
We are all but many pieces of our lives experiences. Integrating as one. Strong and vulnerable.
My vulnerability is my strength. And I am strong as fuck.

PTSD - thats what results from holding onto the action.
Complex PTSD - That is multiple, severe PTSD experiences. The label encompasses a variety of similarities in behaviours that are 'off' of 'normal' but aren't enough to be their own 'thing'.
Shell Shock - I still much prefer my original diagnosis. Back in the 80s before PTSD was even a term spoken. The Freeze. That is what this is. When the triggers are often too many to be known; when the moment takes over, time stops, you are in that memory - regardless of your bodys state.
That, I hope explains bursts of rage, of unexplained irritation. We all have a bit of this.

i am humbly asking if someone can break that down further for this last year / quater?

we know from the teamster meme that Marissa Tome made 19,000,000$ in 2022 from being our leader.
My Goal: is to have a concrete monetary value on EVERY MINUTE (SECOND) that Marissa / shareholders make off of our hard labor and use those numbers to make a solid meme (get out the vote!) idea for the vast majority of us that are living hour to hour
to me, we are one of the last beacons of the working class
please... if you know how:

in terms of hourly profits
so that we can accurately portray and hopefully mobilize all of those unintersted in how this works
